Yaoyorozu had drifted into the most peaceful sleep she'd had in weeks. Slowly waking, she became aware of her hand resting against something warm and solid, the surface smooth yet unyielding beneath her fingers. She felt herself unconsciously tracing over it, captivated by the quiet, rhythmic movement under her touch.
Her fingers explored gently, savoring each line and contour, her body unconsciously pressing closer, seeking more of the warmth. A slow, tingling sensation spread through her as she continued, her breath catching slightly, feeling the subtle firmness give way to the rise and fall beneath her hand.
"Wait..a minute...?"
Her eyes flew open, and her body went still, realization hitting her like a lightning bolt.
Her hand was nestled under Izuku's shirt, pressed firmly against his bare skin. Heat rose swiftly within her, spreading from her chest down to her between her legs where she had to rub her thighs to stop the growing itch.
her cheeks burning as she registered just how intimately she'd been touching him.
Izuku, lost in a deep sleep, felt a soft warmth trailing over his skin, a gentle caress that made his breath hitch. It was soft and very inviting like a woman's hand and couldn't help but lean into the touch.
Stirred by the sensation, he held back a laugh, blinking awake to find Yaoyorozu inches away, the nose practically touching, and he could feel her warm breath tickle his neck her hand frozen mid caress.
Izuku blinked unable to understand what was happening before the sensation of her fingers on his chest was felt like a lightning bolt throughout his body.
"Y-Yaoyorozu..." he biting his cheek to not burst into laughter his shoulders shaking slightly "I'm... uh... kinda ticklish."
Yaoyorozu jolted, yanking her hand away as if she had burned it, her whole body red from embarrassment. "I-I'm so sorry! I didn't mean-I wasn't-!"
Silence filled the space between them, charged and heavy, her pulse racing with the lingering memory of his warmth beneath her touch. Both lay there, cheeks flushed and hearts pounding, unable to meet each other's gaze, the intensity of the moment simmering unspoken in the air.
...
"It wasn't my intention to, uhm..." Yaoyorozu said nervously, her cheeks still flushed from the intimate moment.
Midoriya, ever the brave-or perhaps foolish-one, tried to lighten the mood. "Yaoyorozu, it's okay. Technically, we're even, you could say? Huh?"
The girl blushed deeper. "Y-Yes, you could say that. But in the future, let's refrain from touching each other without mutual consent."
Just then, Kaminari stirred, rubbing sleep from his eyes. "So you're saying if he asks, he can touch you?" he quipped, a teasing smile spreading across his face.
Both Yaoyorozu and Midoriya blushed at the implication, the tension in the room thickening. Midoriya, flustered, began to get up to defend himself, but in doing so, his hand accidentally found something soft and round behind him, when an, "Eep." followed this caused him to freeze as a startled squeak filled the air.
The trio turned to see Uraraka, a blushing mess, her wide eyes filled with surprise. Midoriya's hand was awkwardly resting against Uraraka's left breast, the warmth of her skin unmistakable against his palm. The fabric of her shirt, thin and unforgiving, revealed the unfortunate truth that she wasn't wearing a bra.
...
A few moments of silence stretched between them, thick with tension. Uraraka hadn't slapped him away, and as she processed what had just happened, her cheeks grew redder with each passing second.
Yaoyorozu noticed the flush on Uraraka's face and couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy, while Midoriya was a blushing mess, unsure of how to navigate the chaos unfolding around him.
Finally, overwhelmed by embarrassment, Midoriya let go of her, snatched up his sleeping bag, and bolted from the room, shouting, "I'M SO SORRY, URARAKA!"
He dashed to his room, heart racing, and slammed the door behind him. Once inside, he collapsed onto his bed, staring at his hands in disbelief.
"I touched two girls' breasts! Without their consent! What have I become? I need to make it up to Uraraka! Then I need to give myself up! When the hell did I turn into Mineta?!" Tears of shame streamed down his face as he buried his head in his hands, feeling utterly defeated.
Meanwhile, Uraraka remained downstairs, her face still burning from the phantom touch of his hand. Her mind was a whirlwind, blank for a moment, before her embarrassment resurfaced. Floating into the air, she hid her face in her arms, mentally berating herself. 'Why didn't I slap it away?! Why did let him feel me up?!'
Ochako, just pretend it didn't happen! Just act like it was nothing! But as she floated there, her heart raced before touching her breast.'Hes hand was so warm and nice...' The realization she had enjoyed the touch.'No, no, no!'
...
"Midoriya, you lucky son of a...!" Kaminari exclaimed in outrage before realization hit him and, with a grin, glanced around with a mischievous glint.
'If Midoriya can touch accidentall, what's stopping me right? Accident happen...' Kaminari thought.
Then his eyes drifted over to Jirou, who appeared to be asleep on the couch. He smirked, his hand hovering over her ass.
But before he could even think about actually doing anything, he felt a jolt of fear.
"Try something, Sparky, and I'll end you," Jirou warned, her ear jacks coiling around like snakes.
Kaminari jumped back, eyes wide. "Wait, you were awake the whole time?!"
She stretched with a smirk. "Yup."
Kaminari slumped. "How come Midoriya gets all this accidental luck with the girls, and I can't even get close?"
"First off, Midoriya's probably upstairs right now beating himself up for it," Jirou pointed out. "You know he's probably planning five different ways to apologize and make up for it."
[Upstairs]
Izuku sat on his bed, hands folded in a prayer position. "I need to repent for my sins, I need to repent for my sins."
Ibara, nearby, noticed him muttering and gave him a gentle, encouraging smile, waving in support.
[Back downstairs]
"Second," Jirou continued, "Midoriya would never do anything on purpose without their permission. He'd probably ask permission, write it down, then double-check a dozen times before even thinking about it."
Kaminari sighed. "Yeah, yeah..."
"Third," she added bluntly, "you're an idiot."
Kaminari slumped lower.
Jirou turned to Momo, who was clearly still blushing. "So, Yaomomo... how did it feel? Y'know, since he didn't do it on purpose and all..."
Momo's face turned an even deeper shade of red. "I... I have no idea what you're implying!" She looked away, clearly mortified.
Uraraka floated off the ground, her cheeks pink. "Aw..."
Momo looked even more betrayed, and Jirou just raised an eyebrow. "C'mon, you have to give us something," she teased, her own face warming with curiosity.
"I-I refuse! A friend's privacy should be respected," Momo insisted, though she seemed ready to curl up into herself from embarrassment.
"Maybe if Ashido were here..." Jirou teased, making Momo squeak in surprise and grab onto her arm.
"Okay, okay, I'll tell you, but Kaminari, not a word!" Momo finally relented, casting Kaminari a sharp glare.
Kaminari made a show of zipping his lips.
Jirou leaned closer with a blush, while Uraraka was turning nearly as red as her costume. "We... we should take this upstairs," she whispered, her eyes flickering away in embarrassment.
...
[A Day Later]
Izuku sat alone in his room. Everyone else had gone to class, leaving him in the quiet stillness of recovery. His body was still weak, and he knew he needed rest.
Absentmindedly, he tapped his notebook, memories flashing back to the brutal USJ incident, the fight with the Nomu, and the warning Tetrax had given him about idolizing All Might too much.
"I nearly died in that fight," he muttered to himself. "Four Arms was a good distraction, but I should've chosen someone else. Diamondhead would've been perfect-I could've pinned the Nomu down with crystals. But... that hand villain would've just crumbled me away." He paused, thinking it over. "No, Amphibian would have been the best. I could've phased through the Nomu's attacks and kept the other villain busy. That would've bought Asui, Kodai, Mineta, and Yanagi enough time to escape."
The thought frustrated him, realizing how many options he had overlooked. "I need to develop my own fighting style-not just as Izuku, but for each of my alien forms," he said, flipping through his notes as he organized his thoughts.
He took a moment to assess each alien's strengths. "Heatblast can be a lot like Endeavor and other fire users, but without their limitations on overheating. The hotter Heatblast gets, the stronger he becomes. I guess that makes sense-he's an alien, probably built to handle extreme temperatures," Izuku mused. "But... water hurts like hell," he added with a grimace, remembering how painful that weakness was.
Taking a deep breath, he muttered, "I need to be able to handle fights as myself, without transforming." The memory of Kaine crushing his hand resurfaced in his mind. "If I can't transform, I have to rely on my own skills. If my classmates-or anyone else-tries to keep me from transforming, I need to be ready to face that."
Just then, a knock sounded on the door, breaking his concentration. Izuku looked up, slightly puzzled.
"Hey, Midoriya, it's me," came Kendo's voice from the other side.
Raising an eyebrow, Izuku thought, "Shouldn't she be in class?"
"Uh... come in," he called, and Kendo entered, holding two subs wrapped in paper.
"It's lunchtime, and I figured you might want some company," she said, tossing one of the subs to him. He caught it easily, a bit surprised.
"Oh... I didn't even realize it was lunchtime," Izuku admitted as Kendo settled on the edge of his bed, unwrapping her sandwich
...
She handed him a few sheets of paper along with the sub. "I also brought some notes for you. I overheard Kaminari going on about how Ectoplasm's math class was dragging on forever, and I deduced that my class is a few chapters ahead. Maybe these can help you catch up."
"Thanks, Kendo," Izuku said, setting the notes beside him. "I'll take all the help I can get at this point." He took a bite of his sub but couldn't shake the thoughts swirling in his head.
Kendo watched him closely before speaking up. "Hm?Something on your mind?" she asked, noticing his far-off expression, it was also the kind you get when you were struggling with a math question.
"You've got that same look you had when you first got those nine new aliens. Like when you realized Ditto's clones all share damage, and you spent days trying to figure out a workaround."
"O-Oh... w-well," Izuku stammered, feeling a bit flustered. "I just... I think I need to figure out my own fighting style, without relying so heavily on my alien transformations."
"But I'm having a hard time figuring out what that style should actually be," he admitted, twirling slightly in his chair." The fight with Nomu kinda got me thinking that punching isn't the best."
"Yeah, punches aren't really a style, especially the way you're doing them," she said, shaking her head. "It's like you're... how do I put this?" She rubbed her chin thoughtfully, then snapped her fingers. "You're kinda throwing punches like a heavyweight boxer, you know?"
Izuku raised an eyebrow. "Is that... a bad thing?"
"For Four Arms, no, it isn't," Kendo replied with a small laugh, "but for you-yeah, it kinda is." She leaned forward, her tone turning a bit more serious.
"Midoriya, if you try to fight like a heavyweight boxer in your regular body, you'll slow down, lose your agility, and tire yourself out way too fast. You just don't have the body type."
Izuku looked at her, trying to process the idea, but his expression betrayed a bit of confusion.
"Think of it this way," she continued, taking a thoughtful bite of her meatball sub. "If a hawk tries to fight like a bear, it's wasting energy on strengths it doesn't have. It's the same for you-you need to figure out what works for your body type, not just mimic something meant for someone built like Four Arms."
He nodded slowly, understanding her point.
"And about Four Arms," she went on, "it feels like you're borrowing a fighting style without fully understanding it. You've improved, but sometimes it's like you're copying moves without really getting why they work in that form." She gave him an encouraging smile.
"O-Oh, I think I get it," Izuku said, nodding slowly as the pieces started to fall into place.
"Good! Not gonna lie, you're already amazing at fighting-especially with all the martial arts you picked up from a certain sexy redhead." Kendo smirked, tapping her chest proudly.
Izuku chuckled, scratching the back of his neck.
"Your movements are sharp," Kendo continued, "but your punches... they're a little stiff. They still hurt like hell but that's mostly cause the power behind it."
Izuku sighed. "I've been focusing so much on getting stronger, I never thought about if my moves even fit my body."
"Exactly," she said encouragingly. "But don't stress. Here's an idea: which form feels the most natural for you?"
He looked at her, a bit lost. "Natural?"
"Uh-huh. Think about it-which alien's movements are easiest to carry over into your regular body? Like, I bet you don't even notice it, but sometimes you crouch down like Spider Monkey." She tilted her head, watching his reaction.
Izuku paused, taking her words in. "I guess Spider Monkey. I feel the most comfortable in that form, and I think it's easier to copy his moves."
"Hm..." Kendo said cupping her chin.
"Spider Monkey's all about agility, speed, and powerful legs-spiders rely heavily on their legs, after all. So maybe you should try something like kickboxing?" Kendo suggested.
"Kickboxing?" Izuku asked, feeling the idea start to click.
"Yep! Your kicks are faster, hit harder, and honestly, they're better than your punches. Maybe take some inspiration from heroes who use their kicks?"
Izuku cupped his chin thoughtfully, envisioning how he could adjust his style. Kendo smiled, finishing off her sub. "You and Spider Monkey have similar body types, right? Both rely on speed and agility. Switching up your fighting tactics a little might work out. It's worth a try, at least." She said with a shrug.
He nodded, feeling more confident about trying something new. "You're right, Kendo. Thanks for the advice!"
"Anytime, Midoriya," she said warmly, standing up. "Anyway, I'd better get back to class before they notice I'm missing."
"O-Oh, thanks again!" Izuku called as she opened the door to leave.
Kendo waved goodbye over her shoulder as she walked down the hall, a pleased smile on her face. Just as she turned the corner, she spotted Tsuyu and Ochako heading toward Izuku's room, both carrying notes in their hands.
...
"Huh? What are you two doing here?" Kendo asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh, we wanted to bring Dekiru some katsudon and give him some notes from class," Ochako explained with a smile.
Kendo rubbed the back of her neck. "Oh, I already gave him a meatball sub, so I'm not sure if he's still hungry."
Both girls looked a bit disappointed but kept their smiles.
"Well, that was really thoughtful of you," Tsuyu said. "We'll just give him the notes then."
"Uh, right!" Ochako nodded, and with a wave to Kendo, she and Tsuyu continued down the hall toward Izuku's room.
...
As Ochako and Tsuyu walked down the hall, Tsuyu glanced over at Ochako, noticing the way her friend clutched the notebook tightly.
"Are you nervous?" Tsuyu asked, her usual straightforwardness making Ochako blink.
"W-Well, a little," Ochako admitted, cheeks turning pink. "It's just... I know he's been through a lot, and I want to do something nice. I mean, we all do, right?"
"Yeah, ribbit," Tsuyu nodded. "I feel the same. He was there for us during the USJ attack, so doing something like this, even if it's small... He put himself in danger for all of us. I think everyone wants to thank him in their own way."
Ochako's expression softened. "Yeah... He really puts everyone else first, doesn't he?"
As they arrived at Izuku's door, Ochako took a breath and glanced at Tsuyu. "You think he'll like the katsudon?"
"He'll appreciate it," Tsuyu replied quietly. She tilted her head, a small smile forming on her lips. "And besides, you made it yourself. That always means something extra."
Ochako's blush deepened as she adjusted her hold on the katsudon container, pressing it to her chest. Tsuyu's gaze lingered on her friend's face for a moment, noticing the soft, almost dreamy look in Ochako's eyes, the slight curve of her lips, and the warmth in her cheeks as she held the container close. It was a look that radiated more than just gratitude.
"You really care about him, don't you, Ochako?" Tsuyu asked gently, her straightforward tone making Ochako's cheeks flare up even more.
"N-No, we're just friends!" Ochako stammered, glancing away.
Tsuyu tilted her head with an amused blink. "I only said you cared about him, not that you liked him."
Ochako's face flushed a deeper pink, realizing her reaction might have given her away.
With a soft nod, Ochako knocked on the door, feeling both nervous and a little bit hopeful.
...
As the day went on, Izuku began focusing on heroes who specialized in leg-based combat, studying techniques, especially from Miruko, to refine his own approach. However, he was pleasantly surprised by how many visitors came to check in on him throughout the day.
When the time arrived for Class 1-A's hero training-coinciding with Class 1-B's free period-Ibara Shiozaki stopped by.
"Shiozaki?" Izuku asked, looking up in mild surprise as she entered.
"It's good to see you again, Midoriya," Ibara greeted him with a polite bow. "I hope you're recovering well."
Izuku smiled, reassured by her calm presence. "I am, thank you. I just can't move around too much while my body's still healing."
"I'm grateful to hear you're on the mend," she said with a gentle smile. "I thought this might be of some help." She held out a small pouch, and Izuku raised an eyebrow curiously.
"This is my Shinrin Yoku," Ibara explained, "a special herbal blend my grandmother makes for pain relief. I thought it might be useful to you." She handed him the pouch, and he accepted it with a look of gratitude.
"Wow... Thank you, Shiozaki," Izuku said, touched by the thoughtful gift.
Ibara smiled softly, then held out a small vial. "This, as well. Just a few drops should help you get restful sleep."
Izuku's heart swelled with appreciation for her kindness. "Thank you... really. This means a lot."
Ibara's gentle smile grew slightly, and he noticed a faint blush on her cheeks as she said, "It's the least I could do. Please, don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything else you need."
...
Ibara bowed before leaving Izuku's room. Later, Pony came over, beaming as she carried a few manga she'd somehow collected from the pre-Quirk era.
"Thanks for letting me cum in your room! I brought some manga to help you relax," Pony said cheerfully.
Izuku's face turned bright red at her wording, and he quickly pointed it out. Realizing her slip, Pony's cheeks flushed a deep pink.
"S-Sorry..." she stammered, looking away in embarrassment.
Trying to recover, Pony held out the manga pile with a sheepish smile. "Anyway, I thought these might help you relax," she said, scratching her head nervously.
As their hands briefly touched when she handed him the manga, Izuku felt his own face warm up a bit. "Oh wow, thank you!" he replied, smiling gratefully.
Pony returned his smile before heading out, and as soon as she left, Izuku flopped down on his bed, eagerly opening the first manga in the stack and getting lost in its pages.
...
The day continued, and with classes over, students from Class 1-A and 1-B made their way to the training facilities-everyone except Bakugou, who was banned from training for the next month after nearly killing Izuku in the battle trial, much to the blond's frustration.
Meanwhile, Momo was in the kitchen with her earphones plugged in, listening to her phone recite chemical structures for various weapons and shields. She wore a blissful smile as she kneaded cookie dough, her hands molding it carefully. A soft blush tinged her cheeks as she worked on the dough, which she'd been attempting to perfect for the past hour.
"Yaomomo, what are you making?" Jirou asked, noticing the pleasant aroma wafting through the kitchen.
Momo pulled out one of her earbuds to listen. "Pardon?"
"I asked what you're making-it smells delicious!" Jirou replied, smiling.
"Oh..." Momo blushed slightly. "I'm just baking some cookies... and making tea," she murmured, her face turning redder.
"Nice!" Kaminari chimed in with a grin. "What's the occasion?"
"Oooh, are you making them for a boy?" Ashido teased, noticing Momo's flushed cheeks and the flour on her hands.
"Um... yes..." Momo admitted, a deeper blush spreading across her face.
"Aha! Someone's in love!" Toru exclaimed, making Momo jump slightly at the accusation.
"Don't be ridiculous!" Momo stammered, quickly turning away to focus on her baking.
"Come on, don't hide it," Ashido said, grinning. "You've got that look-like Cupid struck you right in the heart!"
"It's totally Todoroki, isn't it?" Toru guessed with excitement.
But Momo didn't react to that, continuing to roll and shape the cookies, though her thoughts drifted to a certain green-haired boy with freckles. Her face grew warmer, and her heart thudded faster just thinking of him.
"Of course, it's for the pretty boy," Tsuburaba muttered under his breath.
"Aww, you two would make such a cute couple," Toru said encouragingly. "You're both recommended students, and your quirks are so powerful!"
Momo's face only grew redder, her chest fluttering and her hands feeling clammy as she thought of Izuku. She hesitated, trying to find the right words as her heart raced. Admitting the cookies were for him felt surprisingly... embarrassing.
"N-No, they're for..." She felt her heart pound, unable to shake the feeling of shyness that overwhelmed her.
"...someone else," she finished, her cheeks burning as she quickly busied herself with the dough again.
...
Ashido gave Momo a teasing grin. "Aw, no fun. Guess I'll just take a taste test then..." She reached for one of the freshly baked cookies and took a bold bite.
"W-Wait, they're still hot!" Momo said in a panic. But it was too late-Ashido's eyes went wide as she chewed, and her face quickly twisted in discomfort, though she struggled to smile.
"Mmm... s-so g-good..." Ashido forced out, teeth gritted.
"Really?" Momo beamed, relief flooding her expression.
Jirou decided to give one a try, taking a bite before her eyes shot up in shock. She managed a strained smile. "Oh... wow. It's... wow," she said, clearly trying hard not to spit it out.
Kaminari, not wanting to be left out, grabbed a cookie himself but gagged, nearly spitting it out. Jirou quickly nudged him to swallow, and with a pained thumbs-up, Kaminari forced it down-before collapsing with a loud thud, foaming slightly at the mouth.
Momo clasped her hands together, smiling brightly. "Wonderful! There's enough for everyone, please take as many as you'd like!" Her cheerful tone and hopeful smile radiated a bit more than usual, her thoughts briefly drifting to Izuku. She imagined the look on his face if he tried one and actually liked it-how he might give her one of his soft, genuine smiles and thank her sincerely. Just that thought alone made her heart flutter.
Despite the taste, her friends couldn't bring themselves to disappoint her while she seemed so happy. But then Yui walked up, took a cookie, and tasted it without hesitation.
"This tastes terrible," Yui stated bluntly, walking away with her usual deadpan expression.
Momo's smile faltered, feeling a pang like a blade through her chest as everyone gawked at Yui's honesty.
'So blunt!'
For a moment, she cast a sad look at the batch, seeing all her effort crumble. Her friends glanced around with guilty expressions, and she looked down, her shoulders drooping.
Then, with a deep breath, Momo's eyes narrowed in determination. "Then I'll just have to try again!" She declared, grabbing a new bowl with fierce resolve.
The next hour was filled with the smell of burned cookies, scorched trays, and the occasional smoke cloud, as each batch somehow ended in disaster. Yet, Momo's mind kept circling back to Izuku. A blush crept up her cheeks as her heart skipped, pounding harder with each passing second.
'He saved everyone at the USJ so maybe doing something as small will show my appreciation...' Momo thought.'And...' She recalled the warmth of his embrace, how his strong arms wrapped around her, making her feel safe despite his smaller stature.
'I...Just want to thank him...'
Finally, after the third attempt, Tsuyu took pity on her. "Here, let me help you," Tsuyu said gently, stepping in to show Momo some basic baking techniques, while Sato was busy training.
With Tsuyu's help, Momo's face softened into a small smile, a glimmer of hope returning. As she stirred the batter, she imagined Izuku trying the new batch, his face lighting up in surprise. The thought made her smile and her heart beating in excitement.
...
Izuku was completely absorbed in the manga Pony had just lent him. He didn't notice the burnt smell wafting up from the kitchen below or that night had already fallen.
"Can't believe Annie was the Female Titan! I mean, it was kinda obvious, but still!"
A sudden knock at his door startled him. "Yo, Greenie! Let me in!" Jirou's voice called.
Izuku fumbled, quickly shoving the manga under his pillow. "Come in!" he managed, watching as Jirou and Toru entered.
"Hey, Greenie," Jirou greeted, twirling one of her earphone jacks. "Just checking on you."
"Oh, I'm fine," Izuku reassured her.
"But you must be bored just hanging out in your room all day, right?" Toru added. From the way her clothes moved, it looked like she was hiding something behind her back.
Izuku chuckled. "It was, but Pony gave me some manga to keep me busy for the next few days."
Jirou's eye twitched slightly before she dropped onto the bed beside him. "Well, if you're just gonna read all day, you might as well listen to some music while you're at it." She snatched his phone and began scrolling through it. "I think I've got a few songs you'll like—they're pretty chill."
Izuku leaned over to look at her screen, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, really?"
Jirou blushed slightly at how close he was. "It's just a playlist I put together... nothing fancy." She turned her head to the side, trying to create a bit of space.
Izuku smiled, and her blush deepened before she quickly jumped up, clearly flustered by the moment. "Y-Yeah, so... now you have music and manga to keep you busy or whatever," she muttered.
Toru giggled at Jirou's reaction.
Izuku turned to her. "Hm? Hagakure, was there something you needed?"
"Oh, um..." Toru's blush, invisible to everyone else, heated her cheeks. 'You don't have a crush on him, you don't have a crush on him... we're just friends...' she thought, clutching a small bag of treats behind her back.
'Just give it to him... simple,' Toru urged herself. She looked up and met Izuku's eyes, her heart skipping a beat.
"Ahem, so... what's in your notebook?" she asked, trying to avoid the question and noticing it open on his bed,
"Oh?" Jirou perked up, glancing at the notebook as well. Toru's eyes widened when she saw sketches and notes about heroes inside.
"Whoa, I had no idea you could draw like this!" Toru said, admiring a detailed sketch of Endeavor.
Jirou leaned closer to get a better look but then noticed the cover was scorched. "Hey, what happened to this thing?" she asked, smacking the burnt cover for emphasis.
Izuku scratched the back of his head, a bit embarrassed. "O-Oh, that... Kacchan wasn't too happy when he found out I was applying to U.A. So, he... burned it."
Jirou scowled, and Toru crossed her arms, frowning.
"Geez, can that guy get a life?" Jirou muttered irritably.
"Seriously, the guy acts like the whole world revolves around him," Jirou sighed, leaning back with her arms crossed. "We nearly lost the battle trial because he couldn't work with us."
"Oh, really?" Izuku asked, a look of concern crossing his face.
Toru nodded. "Yeah, Ojiro and I came up with a good plan since we had the numbers, but...Bakugou decided he'd handle it on his own, and... Let's just say we didn't get a passing grade we won, but we got deducted so many points." Toru hesitated, the memory clearly not a fond one.
"Anyway, don't stress about it, Midoriya," she added, forcing a cheerful tone as Jirou raised an eyebrow, glancing back at him.
"Hey, where's your Hero entry?" Jirou asked suddenly, sounding almost curious.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Izuku looked puzzled.
"You have all these sketches of heroes, and a whole section just on your aliens. But you don't have a page dedicated to yourself," Jirou noted, thumbing through the pages.
Izuku froze, his eyes widening as Jirou continued to page through his notebook. The question left him speechless for a moment, the thought of sketching himself never crossing his mind.'I guess I never thought about that...'
Suddenly, Jirou's expression shifted, her cheeks going bright red. "W-What?!" she sputtered, her voice raising a notch as she stared down at a particular page. Izuku's face flushed as he realized exactly what she'd found, and he lunged forward, trying to grab the notebook.
"W-Wait! It's not what it looks like!" he stammered, reaching out frantically. Jirou's face was still red as she pulled the notebook just out of his reach, her eyes glued to the drawing of herself that made her look like a goddess.
"Hold on, let me read what you wrote!" she teased, holding him at bay with one hand while flipping through the notes with the other. She sat back in his chair, crossing her legs as she kept the notebook out of his grasp.
"P-Please, it's really embarrassing!" Izuku's cheeks burned as he tried to reach around her.
"Ooh, is my picture in there too?" Toru asked, bouncing up and down, clearly excited by the idea.
Izuku, thrown off balance in his attempts to reclaim his notebook, flailed wildly, his hands reaching out for something to hold onto. In the next moment, he stumbled forward, landing right against his desk behind Jirou, his hands bracing himself on the surface for stability. The sudden closeness made both of them freeze, their faces mere inches apart.
Toru, watching the scene unfold, felt her heart flutter as she noticed the closeness between them. Something unfamiliar twisted in her chest as if someone was clawing at her heart painfully as she observed.
Jirou's blush deepened, her cheeks burning as she felt his breath near her neck. It was too much—she pushed him away, her face bright red as she stammered, "G-Get off me!" Her shove sent Izuku sprawling backward, and he landed on the floor with a small thud.
"Ow..." Izuku rubbed the back of his head, wincing slightly.
Jirou hugged her knees, her face hidden as she tried to regain her composure. Her blush lingered, betraying her flustered state. Toru blinked, snapping out of her trance before she stepped over, concern evident in her posture.
"Midoriya, are you okay?" she asked, crouching beside him.
"Yeah, I'm fine," he replied with a sheepish smile. "Sorry about that, Jirou."
Jirou glanced away, her tone soft as she mumbled, "Don't worry about it, you dork. You just got... a little too close..."
"Yeah, but you didn't have to push him so hard!" Toru interjected, a small frown on her face.
"No, it's okay, really," Izuku insisted, brushing it off. But Jirou continued to look away, guilt flickering in her expression.
"No, she's right... I shouldn't have pushed you like that," Jirou admitted, glancing back at him, her eyes reflecting her regret. "Sorry, Greenie."
Izuku blushed faintly, but he managed a reassuring smile. "I'm tougher than I look. Really, I'm fine."
"Yeah, but..." Jirou's voice softened, a touch of guilt still lingering.
Izuku stood up, his smile warm and genuine. "I promise, I'm okay," he said, meeting her gaze. His confidence and reassurance made both girls' hearts skip a beat, and they quickly looked away, blushing.
Jirou's earphone jacks twitched nervously, coiling around her neck as she blushed, stealing quick glances at him.
Meanwhile, Toru clutched the small bag she'd hidden behind her back, her face still flushed as she tried to calm the fluttering feeling in her chest, before she quickly tried to suppress that warm feeling she had pushing it down even further.
...
They were jolted out of the moment by a knock at the door, making both girls jump.
"Midoriya?" The elegant voice of Momo Yaoyorozu came through.
"Yaoyorozu?" Izuku replied, a little surprised.
"Yaomomo?" Jirou added, hopping off Izuku's chair. The seat spun slightly as she walked over and opened the door.
"Oh! Jirou, Hagakure?" Momo's eyes widened, surprised to see the two girls there as well.
"Yaomomo? What brings you here?" Toru asked, stepping forward.
A faint blush appeared on Momo's cheeks as she looked down, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
"Um... I was hoping to talk to Midoriya about something," she replied, her voice softening slightly.
Her cheeks turned a soft pink, and she looked down, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
Momo's cheeks flushed a soft pink as she looked down, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "Um... I was hoping to speak with Midoriya," she murmured, her voice noticeably quieter.
Izuku's eyes drifted over her appearance, noting a thin layer of flour dusted on her sleeves and skirt. A few loose strands had escaped her usually flawless ponytail, and he could catch a faint scent of freshly baked cookies, tinged with a hint of something... slightly burnt.
"Uh, Yaoyorozu, what happened to you?" Izuku asked, his brows knitting in curiosity.
Momo's blush deepened as she fidgeted, her feet shuffling slightly as she cast a quick, uncertain glance at Toru and Jirou.
Jirou caught on immediately. Though she looked a bit reluctant, she grabbed Toru's arm and began tugging her toward the door. "Hey, Hagakure, you've gotta come check this out!" Jirou said, forcing a quick exit.
"H-Hey! Wait a minute—" Toru yelped, but Jirou had already ushered her out, leaving Izuku and Momo alone.
Momo's blush intensified, and she seemed unable to hold onto her usual composed demeanor as she fidgeted with something behind her back. She took a shaky breath, as if gathering her courage, then cleared her throat, trying to restore her elegant tone.
"Well... I wanted to thank you for what you did at the USJ. You were... really incredible. Your strategic thinking... it was invaluable to us..And uhm..." The girl began to bite her thumb.
"O-Oh, there's no need to thank me, really," Izuku stammered, rubbing the back of his neck, a light blush forming on his cheeks.
"No! I must," Momo insisted firmly, her cheeks growing warmer. Without realizing it, she had leaned in close, her face only inches from Izuku's.
The proximity made her heart beat faster than ever, the steady rhythm threatening to drown out her thoughts.
"Please... allow me to thank you," she whispered, almost as if lost in the moment. Realizing how close they were, her cheeks turned a deep pink, and she quickly pulled back, snapping herself out of the trance.
Turning her head sharply to the side, she closed her eyes, thrusting a small bag toward him with both hands, almost too quickly.
"H-Here... these are for you," she managed, her voice betraying her flustered state.
Izuku blinked, feeling his face warm as he took the bag from her. "T-Thank you, Yaoyorozu..."
"N-No problem," Momo replied, her voice barely above a whisper. Her heart pounded in her chest as she watched him open the bag. She could feel her pulse in her ears as he pulled out one of the cookies and took a tentative bite. Her eyes lingered on his expression, waiting with bated breath.
Izuku's face lit up, and he reached for another cookie. "Oh wow, these are really good!" he said, beaming.
Momo's face broke into a radiant smile, her cheeks flushing with pride. "Thank you! They pair wonderfully with some herbal tea—they're known for helping with pain relief and relaxation."
"Really? Could I try some tea with these?" Izuku asked, looking up at her with a hopeful smile.
Toru from afar looked down as she had her own bag of caramel biscuits she clutched it before turning away.
...
Two Days Later!
It was finally time for Rescue Training 2.0, the first rescue-focused session since the USJ incident. The damage from the attack had been extensive—Izuku's nearly indestructible crystal structures had taken weeks to remove, the melted floors and frozen
Flood Zone needed major repairs, and the massive hole in the facility had required more work than expected. But at last, everything was ready.
Izuku practically bounced in his seat with excitement. When the bell rang, the room quieted as the classroom door slid open, revealing Aizawa's bandaged head poking in. Behind him, the shelves holding their hero costumes opened with a click.
"You all know we're doing rescue training, so let's not waste time. Suit up in your hero costumes or gym clothes and meet at the parking lot—just like last time," Aizawa instructed before disappearing down the hall, his footsteps fading away.
"Uh, alright! Let's go!" Izuku grinned as he jumped up, grabbing his suitcase before heading out.
"I'm kind of nervous," Ochako admitted, gathering with the other girls. "I just hope nothing bad happens again."
"We shouldn't worry too much," Momo reassured her with a gentle smile. "Aizawa-sensei mentioned that there'd be more security this time."/"
"I hope so. Last time's encounter is something I don't want to relive," Tsuyu added with a small shiver, earning nods from Mina, Jirou, and Toru.
As they made their way to the locker rooms, Momo noticed Izuku up ahead, looking unusually energized. "Midoriya!" she called out, and he slowed down to join the girls. "You seem pretty chipper today. Is there a reason?"
"Well, yeah!" Izuku admitted, his grin widening. "I finally get to train again—and it's our first heroics lesson focused on rescuing people! I've been looking forward to this!"
"All Might is famous for his rescue missions. Hundreds of people saved in under ten minutes! That's what inspired me to become a hero in the first place," he explained, clenching his fist with excitement. "There's just something incredible about saving people—it's one of the coolest things a hero can do."
Tsuyu's expression softened as she gave a small nod. "Ribbit, that's one of my reasons, too. I've always admired heroes who can help people in disasters—like rescuing kids from floods."
Izuku and Tsuyu exchanged a smile.
"Yeah! I'm excited too!" Ochako added. "There's something amazing about being able to save people."
A loud scoff sounded behind them. "Tch." Bakugou strode up, flanked by Kaminari and Kirishima, who looked curious about the conversation.
"Why don't you extras focus on rescuing other extras? I'll handle the villains. That's what heroes do—that's how I'm gonna be number one!" Bakugou declared, crossing his arms confidently.
Jirou rolled her eyes, crossing her own arms as she smirked. "Translation: 'I suck at rescuing people, so you guys have to make up for my fuck ups.'"
Everyone burst into snickers, while Bakugou's scowl deepened. He glared, but didn't say anything, muttering as he stomped off with Kaminari and Kirishima following.
...
The students chatted excitedly as they made their way back to the USJ. When the bus pulled up, they noticed police officers patrolling the area and several police cars parked nearby, a reminder of the chaos they had faced before.
Once the bus came to a stop and the students disembarked, they entered the familiar building and spotted Thirteen waiting for them. "Hello there, Class 1-A!"
"Thirteen! It's great to see you're okay!" Izuku cheered, relief flooding his voice at seeing the rescue hero in good spirits.
"My back was thankfully healed by Recovery Girl, though it's still a bit sore. But enough about that—we're here to finish up the rescue training class you missed," Thirteen announced with a smile.
Just then, All Might stepped dramatically down the stairs, adding to the excitement. "And this time, we have some extra security!"
The students buzzed with enthusiasm at the sight of the number one hero, grateful for his presence to help ensure no villains would disrupt their training again.
"I know you're all excited, but I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that I won't be around to teach much today because I'll be patrolling the USJ to make sure nothing bad happens again." All Might noticed the disappointed looks on their faces. "Now, don't pout! The good news is that I can still drop in from time to time to offer some words of wisdom and inspiration!"
The students perked up at that, reassured that they would still receive guidance from All Might, even if he wouldn't be there for the entire class.
"With that said, I must be off. I'll leave you kids in the capable hands of your teachers!" All Might declared before leaping away with his signature flair.
"I swear, what a show-off," Aizawa muttered under his breath before turning to the class.
"Listen up! We have a lot to cover today, so we need to move quickly. Our first lesson will take place in the landslide zone. Let's go!" Aizawa and Thirteen led the way into the heart of the USJ.
Izuku couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. 'This is it—rescue training! It's one of the things I've dreamed of doing ever since I decided to become a hero. This is the first step in learning how to save others effectively,' he thought, gripping the Omnitrix tightly as he walked alongside his classmates.
"It is so Hero Time!"
...
Rockslide Zone
"Alright, for this part of the training, three random students will be acting as hikers who got caught in a landslide. They'll be 'trapped' at the bottom of this chasm, waiting to be rescued. One will pretend to be unconscious, another will have an 'injured' leg, and the third will act very worried. A separate group of students will play the heroes and must rescue them," Thirteen explained as the group gathered near the edge of the chasm.
Kaminari and Kirishima peered over the ledge, their eyes widening at the sight. "Dang, that's huge!" Kaminari exclaimed.
"How are we supposed to get down there? There's no ladder or anything!" Kirishima added, his concern evident.
"What are the two of you saying?!" Iida rushed up to join them at the ledge. "If this were a real situation, that kind of talk would only frighten the victims and make them more worried! A hero must be sure to comfort them and let them know everything will be fine! Hello down there! Don't worry, the heroes are here to help!" he yelled down into the chasm.
"Oh man! That was really unmanly of me!" Kirishima exclaimed, tears welling in his eyes as he clenched his fists. Kaminari awkwardly nodded in agreement with Iida. "Right, sorry, man."
"While Iida could tone it down a bit, he's right. You must be careful with your words in both public and rescue situations," Thirteen said.
"The first three students to play as the victims will be Midoriya, Uraraka, and Iida," Thirteen continued.
The three perked up at the mention of their names, and Ochako asked, "Alright then, but how do we get down?" She glanced at the massive chasm, uncertainty creeping into her voice.
"There's a stairway right over there," Aizawa said, pointing toward a large rock that had a door.
"I mean, how else did you expect to get down there? Jumping?" Aizawa added dryly.
Most students thought to themselves, 'With UA, that wouldn't be too surprising...'
...
A few minutes later, Izuku, Ochako, and Iida found themselves at the bottom of the chasm. Iida had been selected to be the panicking victim, Ochako the unconscious one, and Izuku the one with the broken leg.
"Alright, let's do our best to act injured!" Iida declared, trying to channel panic.
"You know we're just pretending, right?" Izuku replied, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm unconscious," Ochako chimed in, her eyes closed as she lay on her back, trying to stifle a laugh.
"You do realize that people who are actually unconscious don't talk, right?" Izuku pointed out.
"Uh... I'm an unconscious person who talks in their sleep," Ochako countered playfully.
Back at the top of the chasm, Thirteen continued with the lesson. "With the victims chosen, we now need heroes. Yaoyorozu, Bakugo, Todoroki, and Tokoyami will be the rescuers. You may use your quirks and some basic equipment," Thirteen instructed, gesturing toward some rope, a harness, a first aid kit, and a rescue stretcher.
"Why do I have to save Deku?!" Bakugo snapped, irritation evident in his voice.
Thirteen's tone shifted to serious. "Because you don't decide who you save," she said, her change in demeanor sending a shiver through the students. They were used to her kind nature, so this sudden intensity was a bit frightening.
"In a crisis, you should save everyone, regardless of who they are. It doesn't matter if they're a villain or a bystander; a hero's duty is to protect all lives. A hero cannot be biased in their rescue efforts," she continued, letting the gravity of her words sink in.
The students absorbed this information in silence.
"And if you don't, you'll receive a failing grade. Now stop arguing," Thirteen added, her tone cheerful once more.
What a switch! everyone thought.
Bakugo shot her a glare, but it didn't seem to faze her. With a reluctant huff, he replied, "Tch Fine."
...
"Help us! Anyone?! Please help us!" Iida shouted as the victim group prepared for the rescue.
Hearing this, Todoroki approached the ledge. "Let's get started. Who should go down?"
Bakugo whirled around, glaring at Todoroki. "Hold on, who put you in charge?! I say we just blow up the side of the mountain to create a slope. That way, we can carry these losers back up!"
Todoroki sighed. "That could just cause more problems, like triggering a rock slide. Yaoyorozu, can you create a pulley for the stretcher to help pull them up? Then Tokoyami can use his quirk to keep the stretcher stable while we lift the victims."
Momo and Tokoyami nodded, agreeing with Todoroki's plan. However, Bakugo's frustration only intensified. "I asked who made you in charge?!" he shot back, glaring at the ice and fire user.
"No one, but I'm not here to play games. I'm here to be a hero, and I don't want to waste time with pointless arguments," Todoroki retorted, his own glare locking onto Bakugo's.
The two were locked in a silent standoff, Todoroki's icy glare clashing with Bakugo's fierce defiance.
Fortunately, Momo stepped in. "Enough, both of you! If you can't work together properly, we'll fail. In a real-life situation, your arguing could put innocent lives in danger when we should be helping them."
Realizing Momo was right, Todoroki and Bakugo broke their gaze. "Look, it's fine to have different ideas, but we can't force them on each other. We need to be open to suggestions," Momo continued. "And before we do anything, we have to reassure the victims to help keep them calm. Panic can make our job much harder."
With that, Momo walked to the edge of the chasm and called down, "Hello there! Don't worry, we are here to help!"
"Thank you! Please hurry!" Iida yelled dramatically, causing Ochako to giggle despite her role of pretending to be unconscious.
...
With a pulley system in place and Todoroki icing the cliff edge to protect the rope, Tokoyami was lowered into the chasm using a harness. Bakugo and Todoroki managed the rope, while Momo supervised, ensuring that nothing interfered with Tokoyami or the stretcher.
Soon, Tokoyami reached the bottom, the stretcher in tow. "Sorry for the wait," he said.
"Hey, Tokoyami," Izuku greeted as Iida continued his dramatic performance.
"Uraraka, we're saved! We're going to be all right!" Iida declared theatrically. "Just hold on—don't go into the light!"
Ochako had to clamp her mouth shut to stifle a giggle at Iida's overacting.
"Okay, since Uraraka is unconscious, that might indicate she has a head injury. We'll put her on the stretcher first so she can receive immediate medical attention," Tokoyami said.
"But won't it be dangerous to leave her unsupervised while she's being lifted?" Iida countered, dropping his act.
"Oh, who said I was alone?" Tokoyami smiled as Dark Shadow emerged from his cloak, causing Izuku, Ochako, and Iida to stare in awe.
"Woah..." Izuku breathed.
"It's a little dark down here, but manageable," Dark Shadow said, surprising Izuku, who hadn't noticed the creature during the battle trial.
"Dark Shadow, help Uraraka up," Tokoyami instructed.
"I don't want to," Dark Shadow replied, crossing his arms.
"Just do it," Tokoyami said, narrowing his eyes.
Dark Shadow sighed. "Fine." The shadow creature assisted in placing Uraraka onto the stretcher and held onto it to ensure it remained steady.
"Wow, Dark Shadow is so cool!" Izuku exclaimed, watching in amazement as Uraraka was lifted up.
"He is helpful, even if he is occasionally disobedient," Tokoyami remarked.
"Still awesome, though! A partner who always has your back—that's incredible! I wish I had a transformation like that!" Izuku added, oblivious to Tokoyami's surprised expression at his words. The compliment made Tokoyami smile; it felt good that Izuku appreciated the advantages of his quirk and thought it was cool.
"You are amazing! Thank you, heroes!" Iida returned to his acting, clapping enthusiastically as Ochako reached the top, causing her to giggle again. "Pfft Why is he so serious?!"
...
"Come on now. He isn't... that bad," Momo argued as she helped Ochako, though she couldn't deny that Iida's dramatic acting made things a bit goofy when they were meant to be serious.
"Let's get the next one," Todoroki said, lowering the stretcher again with Bakugo's help.
"Just shut up and do it," Bakugo grumbled.
"Man, he can't do much without his quirk. Pulling on the rope is all he's good for," Sero joked.
"Fuck off!" Bakugo shot back.
"He judged that his quirk wouldn't be helpful and did the right thing by not using it," Thirteen interjected, catching everyone's attention.
"If you focus too much on quirk usage instead of skills, you won't be able to help in situations where you can't use your abilities. Knowing when to hold back your quirk can take you far as a hero. That boy is on the fast track to being a great hero," Thirteen beamed at Bakugo's efforts, while Sero just smirked.
"Yeah, but with an attitude like his, he won't be great for long," Sero quipped.
"I will kill him!" Bakugo thought, feeling the urge to explode Sero right then and there.
After Izuku and Iida were pulled to safety, the next few groups took their turns rescuing and being rescued. The most memorable moment came when Bakugo had to play the panicking victim.
He refused to play the "weak-ass extra" role, as he called it. Aizawa then gave him an ultimatum: either play the role or fail the rescue training. That effectively silenced him, and he began yelling for the "useless heroes" to come rescue him already.
...
After that, it was Izuku, Kaminari, Shoji, and Ojiro's turn to rescue Tsuyu, who had a broken leg, an unconscious Mina, and a panicked Sato.
Kaminari looked down into the chasm, scratching his head as he said, "So, I don't think my quirk would be too helpful for this kind of rescue operation."
Izuku stretched a bit and pressed the button on the Omnitrix. The faceplate popped open, glowing as a holographic figure materialized before him.
"My tail is strong, so I think it would be best if I help pull up the victims," Ojiro suggested.
"Same," Shoji agreed. "Then in that case, Kaminari can help you two while I go down to assist down there."
"No need to do that," Izuku interjected. "I think I have a better idea." He began scrolling through the Omnitrix, his eyes focused as he searched for the right transformation.
"Shoji, you'll be with me. Your dupli-arms will help me carry the civilians out, and with you, I'll be able to lift more people," Izuku explained, making Shoji raise an eyebrow in curiosity.
"Wait, are you planning on using that fire guy to bring them up? You could seriously burn them," Ojiro cautioned, concern lacing his voice.
Izuku smirked, shaking his head. "It's a good thing he isn't my only flying form." With that, he slammed down his hand on the Omnitrix, and a massive green flash erupted from the device. Everyone nearby instinctively covered their eyes as a horrid smell quickly washed over them.
"Stinkfly!" he exclaimed, and Shoji's eyes widened as the others nearby scrunched their noses in disgust.
"Ugh, green, you stink," Jirou complained, waving a hand in front of her face.
"I know," Stinkfly replied, his tone nonchalant. He turned to Shoji. "Get on my back, and you can use your arms to carry one more person."
Shoji nodded, moving over to Stinkfly's back and settling in. "Hang on!" Stinkfly warned before launching himself into the air, kicking up dust. Shoji held on tight as they ascended.
"Just make sure to grab the stretcher!" Shoji called out, his voice steady despite the rush of wind.
Stinkfly nodded, his spindly arms reaching out to grasp the stretcher with ease. "Stinkfly to the rescue!" he shouted, excitement in his voice as he launched upward, soaring into the sky.
Everyone watched in awe as he glided gracefully toward the chasm, his wings flapping like shuddering blades, creating a rush of air around them. The three students could hear the blades shuttering, a mechanical sound mingling with their anticipation.
"Don't worry! We're coming down!" Stinkfly called out, his voice echoing in the chasm below, as he prepared to make the descent.
He flew down into the chasm, the light fading as they descended, and winds rushed past Shoji, whipping his hair around. The three looked up and heard the distinct buzzing of Stinkfly's wings.
"Cool new guy! Oh, uh, hurry! One of us is hurt, and another is knocked out—" Sato started, but then gagged, covering his nose from the overwhelming stench. The smell made Tsuyu and Mina scrunch their faces in disgust.
As Stinkfly hovered above them, his wings created a loud, buzzing sound that stirred the air around them. "Don't worry, Stinkfly is here to the rescue!" he announced confidently, his voice slightly distorted by his insectoid form.
Ashido grinned, her face turning a bit lilac from the smell. This was the same form he'd used to save her before. "Oooh, nice one-liner," she murmured, half pretending to be asleep, scrunching her nose against the foul odor.
Sato, wide-eyed, waved Stinkfly down. "Sweet entrance! I mean—help us! My friends are hurt!"
"Don't worry," Stinkfly replied, his antennas twitching as he surveyed the scene. "This bug's got it covered." With a firm yet gentle grip, he maneuvered the stretcher from above, lowering it carefully. His multi-directional vision allowed him to keep track of everyone below as he gently scooped Tsuyu up with his long, spindly arms, placing her onto the stretcher with surprising delicacy.
"Hang tight," he added, his wings humming as he steadied the stretcher, preparing to lift it. Shoji then leapt off and gently cradled Mina in his arms.
"I can place Ashido on my back and use my arms to carry Sato. That way, I can carry all of them in one go," Shoji suggested.
Stinkfly nodded in agreement as Shoji secured Tsuyu on the stretcher, something Stinkfly hadn't accounted for.
Shoji carefully placed Mina on his back, using his lower pair of arms to keep her steady as he picked up Sato in a bridal carry before climbing back onto Stinkfly.
"Is everyone secured?" Stinkfly asked.
Shoji nodded, looking down at his friends.
"Yeah, though it's totally embarrassing being carried like this!" Sato complained, his face flushed.
"Ribbit," Tsuyu added, nodding in agreement.
With that, Stinkfly began to ascend steadily, his wings vibrating through the air, creating a sound like blades slicing through the wind. They flew upward, breaking free from the dark confines of the chasm.
As they emerged into the light, Shoji gently handed Mina to Kaminari and Sato to Ojiro while Stinkfly carefully placed Tsuyu down. In a massive green flash, he transformed back to Izuku, breathing heavily from the exertion but relieved to see his friends safe.
...
Izuku smiled as he looked at the Omnitrix, feeling a rush of pride.
"Now that's how you rescue people!" Sero cheered from the sidelines.
"Quick and effective," Tokoyami remarked, his voice steady and calm.
Momo nodded in agreement. "Being able to transform into multiple forms allows him to adapt to any situation and rescue anyone," she beamed.
Bakugou just growled in anger, irritated that the nerd had saved all three in mere minutes while he had taken about thirty.
Izuku suddenly felt someone hug him from behind, arms wrapping around him tightly.
"Thanks for saving me!" Ashido said, her voice bright with gratitude. Izuku blushed at the sudden affection.
"Ribbit," Tsuyu added, nodding appreciatively toward the green-haired boy.
"It was no issue," Shoji replied, his tone modest.
"Fastest rescue time so far," Aizawa commented, making Bakugou glare daggers at Izuku, who was still blushing.
"Good job, you four! You saved them!" Thirteen gave a thumbs-up, their encouragement making the rescue team swell with pride. "You secured the injured on the stretcher so they wouldn't fall off during the rescue. All in all, that was a perfect rescue in my book." Thirteen's voice was filled with enthusiasm. "You managed to save everyone in the nick of time while minimizing the risk of further injuries. That's what heroes do!"
"Way to go, Dekiru!" Ochako cheered, her bright smile causing Izuku to blush even more.
"T-Thanks, but I'm kind of surprised we were able to rescue everyone," Izuku admitted, glancing around at his friends.
Shoji nodded in agreement. "I shared the same concern."
"Mh? What do you mean?" Tsuyu asked, her brow furrowing in confusion.
"Well, I wasn't sure if Shoji could carry all of them," Izuku explained. "I thought we might have to leave Sato behind during the rescue."
"Agreed," Shoji added. "I wasn't sure myself if I could manage. I was certain I could carry one at a time, but Ashido's smaller stature allowed me to carry her relatively easily. If it hadn't been for that, I think leaving Sato would have been our only option." Sato nodded in agreement.
"Oh, right! If Shoji couldn't carry all of them, it would make more sense to leave the only person who is fully conscious instead of the unconscious person and the one with the broken leg," Ojiro remarked.
"Not completely true," Thirteen interjected, drawing curious looks from the others.
"What? But weren't the other two far more in need than the panicking guy?" Kaminari asked, bewildered.
"True, Ashido could have had a concussion, and Tsuyu's leg could get infected," Thirteen acknowledged. "But..."
"In extreme and stressful circumstances, panicking victims can unknowingly cause more problems and escalate the situation," she continued. "A hero not only saves others physically but mentally as well. Alleviating fears is crucial to keeping those in trouble safe. If that doesn't work, you may need to move panicking individuals to a safer spot so they can calm down."
The students nodded, absorbing Thirteen's insights, but All Might had just entered the conversation.
"I was on my way over here and overheard what Thirteen was saying," All Might began, excitement bubbling in the air. "I wanted to add something important. In a super-powered society like ours, the mental state of victims is doubly crucial."
The students perked up, eager to hear more.
"Distraught victims may accidentally use their quirks if they become too stressed or frightened," All Might explained. "This is another reason why heroes need to keep the tension down while rescuing. Accidental quirk usage can not only worsen the situation but also endanger those nearby, including yourself."
...
The students mentally noted Thirteen's points, recalling news reports of innocent victims whose quirks had activated in stressful situations, often complicating matters for the heroes.
Bakugou particularly remembered when the sludge villain had tried to take over his body; in his panic, he had attempted to use his quirk to blast the villain away. Unfortunately, this had resulted in fires that hindered nearby heroes. 'Stupid extras. Slowed down by some fire. Well, I won't make that mistake. I will be a better hero than any of them,' he vowed to himself.
"Now that things are looking good in this section, I'm off to patrol the next area! See you later, kiddos!" All Might called out, dashing off to assist elsewhere.
Aizawa sighed, his expression exasperated. "Why can't he leave like a normal person?" he muttered, earning a few chuckles from the students.
"Now that we've finished the first section, we're moving on to the next. Don't relax yet—class is still in session," Aizawa said, making the students exchange worried glances about what awaited them.
Once they were clear of the landslide zone, the class split up to participate in various simulations throughout the USJ.
Thankfully, nothing went awry, and the students learned how to handle different rescue scenarios. Time flew by, and they soon found themselves in the flood zone.
Here, they focused on water rescues and were in the midst of a practical exercise on a ship. Izuku felt a strange sense of déjà vu as he remembered being teleported here during the invasion.
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Tsuyu leaning against the ship's railing, gazing down into the water.
Despite her quirk making it difficult for her to show her emotions on her face, Izuku could sense that Tsuyu was feeling down. Concerned, he wondered what was bothering her.
'lIzuku glanced over at Tsuyu, wondering if she felt as out of place as he did. "Um... Hey, Asui—uh, Tsu!" he corrected himself, feeling a bit awkward. "Is it weird being here for you, or is it just me?"
Tsuyu blinked, processing his question. "Yes. It is," she replied plainly.
Izuku laughed a little, realizing she wasn't one to beat around the bush. "You really don't mix your words, huh?"
She nodded. "I don't really see the point in that. But it's surprising to hear you say that. You took down the villains in under a minute."
"Last time I was here," he started, his face coloring slightly, "I was four stories up, with Kodai holding on tight, right before we almost splashed into the water. Stinkfly's wings aren't exactly... water-friendly," he admitted, scratching his head.
"Really?" Tsuyu tilted her head, looking curious.
"Yeah. If Stinkfly's wings get wet, I can't fly. I'd be a sitting duck in the water, so I was a little on edge that whole time," he said with a chuckle.
Tsuyu looked thoughtful. "But you did great regardless. You saved us and took down the villains. Maybe instead of worrying about what could've happened, you should just appreciate what actually did."
He nodded, smiling. "Same goes for you, though. You held your own against those fish villains with Yanagi."
"Ribbit? You think so?" she asked. "I feel like I didn't do much."
Izuku shook his head. "Even though you were outnumbered, you stayed steady and got Aizawa-sensei and Vlad King-sensei to safety. If you hadn't, I don't think I could've focused on fighting the Nomu."
Tsuyu gave a small smile. "Maybe... but I still wish I could've done more. Back at the USJ, if I'd stopped that mist villain, maybe you wouldn't have gotten hit by Shigaraki."
Izuku nodded, rubbing the spot on his side where Shigaraki's decay had scarred him. If they'd taken out the mist villain from the start, maybe he could've beaten the Nomu. He'd only used 8% of One For All as Four Arms back then, careful not to ignore Recovery Girl's warnings. But maybe, just maybe, with a higher percentage, he could have overwhelmed it.
"Yeah… maybe," he murmured, glancing at her. "But, like you said, there's no point in dwelling on what might've happened. We should just be glad everyone's safe, right?"
Tsuyu looked at him for a moment, then smiled, nodding. "Right."
...
The class worked through training exercise after exercise until it was time for the final simulation: the Ruins Zone.
"Alright, you've done well so far," Thirteen announced, "but this last exercise will be the toughest. It's designed to give a more 'realistic' experience. Half of you will act as victims caught in a catastrophic event within a large section of a city. You'll be trapped in places like damaged buildings and crumbling ruins."
"Meanwhile," Aizawa continued, "the other half will be heroes who have 20 minutes to rescue their classmates. It won't be easy—those playing victims can hide anywhere they choose, and once the search begins, eight of you will be randomly chosen to pretend you're too injured to speak or assist in any way. You'll stay silent and give no help finding you."
"After this round, teams will switch so everyone gets a chance to play both roles," Thirteen added.
"So, it's like a big game of hide-and-seek?" Mina asked excitedly.
"Sort of," Thirteen replied. "But once you find someone from the victim team, you must carry them to the safe zone." She pointed to a white tent set up away from the ruins.
Izuku, Ochako, Kaminari, Bakugo, Jiro, Koda, Sato, Mina, Momo, and Tokoyami were assigned as heroes for the first round.
That left Toru, Tsuyu, Shoji, Aoyama, Kirishima, Sero, Ojiro, Iida, and Todoroki as the victims. Only Todoroki and Aoyama were allowed to speak.
"Tch. Why do I have to work with Deku?" Bakugo growled as everyone gathered to form their teams.
Jiro rolled her eyes. "Trust me, everyone here would rather work with anyone—or anything—other than you."
Bakugo's expression turned hostile as he glared at Jiro. "What did you just say, extra?"
Momo sighed, stepping in with a calm but firm tone. "Bakugo, I honestly have no idea why you're complaining. Your approach to rescue work is beyond reckless, and frankly, your 'ethics' are nonexistent. Not only that, but you lack any skill in actually tracking down victims, which is essential in a rescue mission."
"And your Quirk isn't even that helpful for rescue operations," Tsuyu added bluntly.
Bakugo's fists clenched, anger flashing across his face as veins bulged.
"And this is just how the teams were assigned," Aizawa said, giving Bakugo a sharp look as he held up a stopwatch. "So quit complaining."
...
"The victim team will have six minutes to hide," Aizawa announced. "Once the time is up, a siren will sound, signaling the hero team to start their search. Now get going." He started the timer, and the victim team quickly scattered, hiding throughout the designated zones.
"Sir, Ma'am, while we wait, could we go over strategies?" Momo asked, glancing at the teachers.
"Of course," Thirteen replied, giving a thumbs-up. "Whenever possible, discuss plans with your team. There'll be times when you won't get that chance."
"Thank you," Momo said, turning to the group. "I suggest we have Jiro lead us. Her Quirk should help locate the victims, even those who won't be able to speak."
Jiro blinked, a bit surprised. "Oh—yeah, I can try, though it'll be tricky. I'd only be able to hear things like breathing, so you guys will need to be totally quiet as I listen."
Koda leaned over and whispered something to Tokoyami, who nodded.
"Excuse me," Tokoyami spoke up, drawing everyone's attention. "Our classmate Koda could also help. His Quirk lets him communicate with animals, who can assist in locating the hidden victims." To demonstrate, Koda held up his arm, where a pigeon landed, nervously showcasing his Quirk.
"Oh, perfect!" Mina grinned. "With Jiro and Koda working together, we'll find everyone in no time!"
Izuku pressed the Omnitrix, cycling through options on the dial. "Spider Monkey's enhanced hearing could be helpful for tracking too," he suggested.
Momo nodded thoughtfully. "Then we could split into groups, pairing up to support those tracking and rescue the victims together."
Izuku smiled. "That way, we'll be able to bring back as many people as possible, efficiently."
A loud horn blared, filling the air with a sudden, sharp tone.
"Alright, your time starts now. Remember, you only have ten minutes to find all the victims," Aizawa announced.
"Then let's get moving. Koda, Jiro, Midoriya, please lead the way," Momo instructed as the group fell in behind them. Mina slipped up beside Izuku, clearly excited for the task.
But Bakugo had other plans.
"Please, I don't need help. You extras can do all that searching while I'll save everyone myself!" Bakugo shouted, blasting off with an explosion that sent a thick, smoky haze over the area, making a few of them cough.
Jiro sighed. "That idiot."
"He knows we're supposed to work together, right?" Kaminari muttered.
Momo shook her head. "It can't be helped. We have limited time, so we need to move fast." She looked at Jiro. "Where should we head to first?"
Jiro closed her eyes, focusing. Her earjacks twitched, picking up distant heartbeats. "A few blocks away, there's a building around the corner. I can hear two heartbeats inside," she said, pointing ahead.
Izuku nodded. "Got it. I'll take that one," he replied, raising his arm and slamming down on the Omnitrix. A green flash burst from the device, forcing everyone to shield their eyes for a second.
"Spider Monkey!" the alien hero called out as he somersaulted through the air, landing on all fours in a spider-like pose.
"I'll swing over to that building," Spider Monkey said, adjusting his stance as he prepared to leap.
Mina's eyes brightened, and she stepped closer. "I'll go with Midoriya, you know… offer a little backup." She shot a playful wink and wrapped her arms around him.
Spider Monkey blinked, clearly flustered by her sudden closeness, while Momo, Ochako, and Jiro's faces flushed red as they watched the two.
"W-What are you doing, Ashido?!" Ochako stammered, her fists clenched tightly.
"What? Midoriya's going to be swinging over, so I need to hold on tight. Duh!" Mina said, smiling as she hugged herself closer to him.
Momo's face burned, and she forced herself to look away, trying to brush it off logically. "Um… okay, that… makes sense." She tried to focus on the mission, but her heart was pounding harder than it should've been. Why did it bug her so much?
Jiro's face darkened with a jealous frown. "What?! But that doesn't mean she has to—Ugh!" She groaned in frustration. It didn't help that seeing Mina so close to him made something stir inside her, something she didn't want to admit.
"Let's just… get this over with," Jiro muttered, feeling an odd twist in her chest she couldn't quite shake.
Spider Monkey gulped, glancing back at the girls, catching the tense expressions on their faces.
...
"Uh, see you guys later..." Spidermonkey said, crouching low with his muscles coiled like a spring. In one powerful leap, he launched himself into the air, the ground falling away beneath them. Mina held on tight, her knuckles white as she felt the dizzying height they gained from just that first bound.
"W-Whoa!" Mina exclaimed, her voice barely audible over the rush of wind whipping past them.
With a swift flick of his tail, Spidermonkey fired a web line toward the building ahead, the sticky strand latching onto it with a solid pull. They swung through the air, gaining height as Mina hugged herself closer to him, the rush of wind exhilarating and almost overwhelming.
Just as they began to arc downward, Spidermonkey flicked his tail again, sending out another line that redirected their momentum. The sudden shift made Mina's stomach drop as they flipped upside down for a split second, gravity pulling them in before he expertly angled them back upright. She gasped, her heart pounding as they descended, only to be whipped back up by another web.
"Whoa!" she screamed as Spidermonkey somersaulted mid-air, the city below spinning as she clung tightly to him. Another web shot out from his tail, attaching to a nearby streetlight as he spun them around in a controlled spiral descent, sliding down the line until they landed smoothly on the ground.
Mina, catching her breath, looked up at him with wide, excited eyes. "Midori...," she panted, clutching her chest as she tried to steady her heartbeat. "That was amazing... You really know how to show a girl a good time."
Spidermonkey chuckled, a hint of a blush on his cheeks. "Yeah, hope you didn't get airsick."
"Airsick? Are you kidding? We have to do that again!" Mina said, her excitement barely contained as she leaned into his face. "Take me swinging! It was incredible!"
Spidermonkey laughed nervously, scratching the back of his neck. "M-Maybe later. We should probably find the victims first."
"Oh, right! Totally forgot about that," Mina said, sheepishly glancing around. "So, do you hear something or...?"
Closing his eyes for a moment, Spidermonkey focused, picking up faint heartbeats echoing through the building. "I think there are two people inside," he said, nodding toward the structure.
Mina nodded back, and they stepped toward the building. Suddenly, Spidermonkey felt a stabbing pain in his head, but before he could react, a deafening explosion echoed nearby.
They turned to see Bakugou storming in, his expression shifting from surprise to a fierce glare.
"What the hell are you extras doing here?" he spat, his voice dripping with venom.
"Huh? We were here first," Mina shot back, folding her arms defiantly.
Bakugou scoffed, shoving them both back with a rough push. "Get the hell out, you damn extras!"
Mina rubbed her arm with an annoyed glare. "Seriously, dude? We were here first. Besides, there are two people to save, so why don't we just work together?"
"I'll handle the damn extras myself," Bakugou growled. "Now get lost, scum."
Spidermonkey felt a flicker of anger. "Kacchan, you can't just—"
"Piss off, Deku. I don't need your damn help!" Bakugou snarled as he tried to move past them.
"Come on, we're supposed to work together!" Spidermonkey argued, but the stabbing pain returned, forcing him to act on reflex as Bakugou swung a backhand toward his face. Spidermonkey caught his wrist with ease, his enhanced reflexes kicking in.
Bakugou's eyes narrowed in rage, his pride bruised by Spidermonkey's quick reaction. "I TOLD YOU I DON'T NEED YOUR HELP, YOU USELESS DEKU! SO GET LOST! FUCK OFF!"
Spidermonkey released Bakugou's wrist, exasperated. "Jeez, do you ever stop yelling? This is why you can't have a normal conversation—"
Before he could finish, the stabbing pain spiked again, and Spidermonkey's body moved on instinct, leaping into the air just as a fist collided with the spot where he'd been standing. He clung to the ceiling, watching as a dust cloud spread from the impact, obscuring their attacker.
"The hero's reflexes aren't bad," sneered a deep, mocking voice from within the dust. "I'll give him that." Emerging from the cloud, the villain locked onto Bakugou with a cold, calculating stare before launching a brutal punch toward him.
Bakugou's eyes widened, caught off guard. The villain's fist slammed into his gut with a sickening crunch, his body convulsing from the impact. Air exploded from his lungs as he was thrown to the side, his body hurtling toward the wall.
The sound of crunching bone and crumbling plaster filled the room as Bakugou crashed into the wall and slid down, his vision blurring from the blow.
...
From the swirling dust emerged a towering figure, nearly as tall and broad as All Might. He wore rugged green cargo pants, a helmet with jagged spikes, and a gas mask covering his face, giving him an intimidating, militaristic appearance.
"A... villain?" Spidermonkey muttered, feeling a sharp twinge of pain in his head just as the villain lunged. The man's fist collided with the ceiling, unleashing a shockwave that reverberated through the room, shaking the entire building.
"Ashido! Get to the person trapped in here. The villain probably knocked them out!" Spidermonkey shouted, his voice urgent.
Ashido hesitated, fear flashing across her face, but she managed a nod. Just then, the villain was suddenly in front of her, his fist mere inches from her face. She squeezed her eyes shut, bracing for impact.
"Tch. Damn heroes," the villain sneered, turning his attention back as Spidermonkey shot out webs, anchoring the man's arms and legs and yanking him backward.
"Go, now!" Spidermonkey urged, sparks of Full Cowl crackling over him. Ashido didn't waste another second. She sprinted up the stairs, determination tightening her jaw.' I can't let Midoriya down! No way I'm letting him end up in the hospital because of me!'
As she moved, the building began to crumble around her, with chunks of the ceiling breaking loose and crashing down. She caught sight of Bakugou, half-conscious and slumped against a wall, but before she could reach him, debris started raining down.
Spidermonkey looked on in shock as the villain swung again, narrowly missing him. Meanwhile, Ashido reacted with fluid precision, twisting her body and sidestepping just in time as a large slab of concrete smashed into the floor beside her.
She exhaled, then spun on her toes, slipping past another chunk of falling ceiling with a grace that resembled a well-rehearsed dance. She leaped forward, landing lightly before ducking low, dodging a piece of debris that flew over her head.
A grin spread across her face. "Good thing I've been practicing my moves," she murmured, spinning away from the last piece of rubble. Reaching Bakugou, she grabbed him and started to drag him to safety.
Both Spidermonkey and the villain stared, momentarily captivated by her skill.
"Whoa... she's amazing," Spidermonkey said, unable to hide his admiration.
"Yes..." the villain muttered, almost in awe himself. But then, as if snapping back to reality, he clenched his fists and swung again, aiming for Spidermonkey, who barely dodged in time, backflipping out of range.
The battle continued, the building crumbling around them as they fought.
...
Spidermonkey dodged the villain's punch, a fist moving so fast it was almost a blur. He flipped backward, firing a web that latched onto the villain's chest, then rolled beneath him, his tail whipping up to shoot another web toward a hanging light fixture. Sparks flew as he yanked it down, smashing the light into the villain's head.
The villain grunted, rubbing his head, and glanced around, momentarily disoriented. But Spidermonkey was nowhere to be seen. Unbeknownst to him, the alien hero was crawling silently along the ceiling behind him, limbs spread wide, creeping closer like a true predator.
Without warning, Spidermonkey dropped onto his back, tangling him in a flurry of sticky webbing. "So, mind telling me how you got in here, villain?" he asked, tightening the webs around the villain's arms and legs.
"Get off me, you dirty hero!" the villain roared, tearing through the sticky strands with brute force. But Spidermonkey skittered around him, darting from one side to another, faster than the villain could react. His heart hammered with both excitement and focus.
Okay, Izuku, remember what Kendo said, he thought, muscles tensing as he shot another web line. 'Play to your strengths. Right now, you're Spidermonkey—so be a spider!'
With a quick flick of his wrist, he launched a web toward the corner of the room, pulling himself away just as the villain's fist barreled toward him. Mid-swing, Spidermonkey fired another line, snagging the villain's arm and using it to slingshot himself onto the villain's back. He flipped over his shoulder, wrapping the villain's webbed-up arm against his own chest. The villain thrashed, trying to shake him off, but Spidermonkey darted around his hulking frame, spinning webs faster than he could tear through them.
With nimble, fluid movements, Spidermonkey wove a cocoon-like snare around the villain, looping the webs in a crisscross pattern until the villain was pinned, arms and legs bound to his sides, like prey caught in a spider's trap. He crawled swiftly around, securing webs to the floor, walls, and ceiling, creating a webbed prison that anchored the villain in place.
But with a massive grunt, the villain flexed, a shockwave of muscle power ripping through the webs, sending Spidermonkey skidding back across the floor. "You... hero," the villain growled, his tone filled with malice, though Spidermonkey could almost detect a glimmer of respect.
Spidermonkey gulped, watching as the villain cocked his fist back with shocking speed. His head throbbed with that familiar stabbing pain, and his reflexes kicked in just in time—he flipped backward as the villain's fist smashed into a pillar with a deafening CRASH, obliterating it in one strike.
Spidermonkey's eyes widened as he noticed the building's entire structure begin to shudder. The remaining pillars groaned under the strain, dust and debris cascading from the ceiling as cracks splintered along the walls.
He looked up, a grin spreading across his face. "Time to bring the house down,"
...
"Hey, big and ugly! Let's see if you can hit me!" Spidermonkey taunted as he launched himself at the villain. With a quick backflip, he evaded the attack, shooting a web string that pulled him forward. He delivered a swift kick to the back of the villain's head before firing off another web, anchoring himself to a nearby pillar.
"C'mon you move slower than my grandmother!" Spidermonkey quipped, but in the blink of an eye, the villain closed the distance. With a cocked fist, he launched an attack that smashed through another pillar just as Spidermonkey dodged. He retaliated with an uppercut, but the villain countered. Spidermonkey quickly shot a web, pulling himself up to cling to the overhead beams.
"Ashido!" Spidermonkey called through his comms, scrambling to evade the villain's relentless assault.
"What's up, Midori? I found Aoyama; he seems to be knocked out," Ashido replied, struggling to carry the unconscious hero. Both were heavy, and she wasn't exactly super strong.
"Where are you?" Spidermonkey asked, glancing around as he narrowly avoided another punch.
"Two floors up," Ashido answered. Spidermonkey took a moment to think. "Okay, I need you to stay there for a bit," he instructed just as the villain threw a wild punch, sending Spidermonkey crashing through the floor.
"Midori!" Ashido exclaimed, worry lacing her voice.
Rubbing his head in pain, Spidermonkey groaned, "Can I get the number of that truck?" Just then, the villain leaped through the hole, landing menacingly on the floor below.
...
"Time for you heroes to die," the villain snarled. Spidermonkey shook his head, quickly firing a web at the villain's face. The brute began to tear it off, but Spidermonkey didn't waste a moment. He shot web strings at Aoyama and Bakugou, pulling them toward him before flinging them out of the window, webbing them securely to the building across the street.
He then grabbed Mina, pulling her close. "Hold on tight," he instructed, making her blush. With a powerful push, he shot a web, pulling them both out of the building. They somersaulted through the air, and he fired another web, this time aiming for a corner connected to the last pillar holding the structure together.
Spidermonkey smirked as he yanked with his lower arms, using his strength to rip out the pillar. The building shuddered, its foundations trembling. The villain finally cleared the web from his face, only to feel the building begin to shake beneath him.
"That doesn't sound good…" he muttered to himself just as the concrete pillars snapped. Steel beams buckled, and the structure's integrity crumbled as cracks spiderwebbed across the walls. The ceilings sagged, and the windows exploded outward, sending shards raining down.
The villain looked around, genuinely impressed. "Well, I'll be damned," he said, taking in the chaos.
As gravity took hold, the building began to collapse. Roofs pancaked, floors disintegrated, and concrete slabs thundered down, crushing everything below. A massive dust cloud billowed upward as the structure crumbled, the ground trembling in a seismic convulsion that drew everyone's attention.
...
Ashido, currently piggybacking Spidermonkey, clung to the side of the building as they watched the display unfold. Blinking in surprise, she turned to him. "Midori... Talk about bringing the house down," she said with a smirk before giving the alien a high five.
"Now that was awesome!" Ashido exclaimed as Spidermonkey returned the gesture, a wide grin on his face.
Spidermonkey looked out at the chaos with a mix of pride and confusion. "Thanks... But seriously, how did a villain even get in here?"
"Honestly, I don't know," Mina replied, glancing around. "Maybe he hid himself and was lying in wait in one of the zones?"
"You really think Hound Dog wouldn't have caught him?" Spidermonkey said, raising an eyebrow.
Mina nodded vigorously. "Yeah, with that nose of his, he would've sniffed him out in no time. The guy's got the nose of a bloodhound!"
Suddenly, the voices of Momo, Ochako, and Jirou called out from the ground. "Hey! What the heck happened?" Jirou asked, her eyes wide as the rest of their team sprinted toward them. Sato, Kaminari, Koda, and Tokoyami followed closely behind.
"We heard a massive tremor and ran here as fast as we could," Ochako panted, glancing up at the debris.
"What on Earth transpired here?" Tokoyami inquired, his voice calm despite the chaos. "We felt those tremors from a few blocks away."
Sato nodded in agreement, looking around.
"Me and Ashido were looking for a victim when we ran into Bakugou," Spidermonkey explained, his tone serious. "Then the villain suddenly appeared, knocked Bakugou out, and I fought him off. We managed to get them out, but, uh…" He trailed off, glancing at Mina.
"Midori brought the building down," Mina said, jabbing a thumb toward his chest. The other girls looked at him, their expressions a mix of surprise and concern.
"A villain?!" everyone exclaimed in shock and worry.
"Midoriya, are you sure about this?" Tokoyami asked, his eyes narrowing slightly.
Momo nodded, her brow furrowed. "Why would a villain be here in the first place?"
"Could he have been hiding in one of the zones?" Sato suggested, looking thoughtful.
"With Hound Dog around? No way in hell he could've bypassed that nose," Kaminari said, shaking his head in disbelief.
Momo bit her lip, a nervous expression crossing her face. "We should inform the teachers immediately. This villain could be as dangerous as that Nomu thing..." She turned to Spidermonkey, concern clear in her eyes.
Ashido noticed Momo's worry and threw an arm over Spidermonkey's shoulder. "Relax, Yaomomo! Luckily for us, Midori dropped their building on top of him, so I don't think—" Her words were cut short as a shockwave erupted from the rubble, sending debris flying through the air. Everyone quickly covered their eyes from the force as the villain emerged, dust swirling around him.
"You think that will stop me, heroes?" the villain sneered, and the group took a closer look, their eyes widening as they recognized his broken helmet.
"All Might?!" they all exclaimed in disbelief.
The villain realized his mask was shattered, exposing his face like a schoolboy caught hiding. "No, I'm not!" he protested, covering his face with his hands. "I'm a villain, and you're all dirty heroes!"
The group collectively sighed, their tension easing. "So it's just All Might," Jirou said, crossing her arms with a mix of annoyance and relief.
Momo's heart slowed as she calmed her racing pulse. "Thank goodness," she murmured, wiping her brow.
"No! You should all be trembling in fear–" All Might exclaimed, shaking his fist dramatically. Just then, he was cut off as a boot collided with his face, sending him staggering back.
...
"We just got out of a villain attack, and you thought it was a good idea to pretend to be a villain?! Whose dumbass idea was this?!" Jirou exclaimed, practically fuming with frustration, her fists clenched at her sides.
All Might shifted uncomfortably, his fingers twitching like a guilty schoolgirl caught in a prank. "Well, we wanted to test how you would react in a crisis situation and see what you've learned," he admitted, a sheepish grin on his face.
Spidermonkey cupped his chin, nodding in understanding. "Oh, I get it! We need to save the heroes while stopping the villain at the same time, right?" he said, connecting the dots.
"Correct, Young Midoriya!" All Might replied, shooting a playful finger gun, his trademark exuberance shining through.
Momo furrowed her brow, piecing it all together. "So, the villain will continue to attack us until time runs out," she added, a hint of seriousness in her tone.
"Great, just what we need," Jirou muttered, rolling her eyes. "A villain pretending to be a hero? What a ridiculous way to train."
"Honestly, it sounds like a plot twist in one of those corny movies," Sato chimed in, scratching his head. "You really had us worried there for a moment."
Tokoyami nodded solemnly, his dark aura flickering slightly. "Indeed, such deception could have dire consequences. We must maintain vigilance."
All Might cracked his knuckles, a wide grin spreading across his face. "Now, let's see what you young heroes can do!" he declared, his enthusiasm infectious. Everyone gulped nervously, their adrenaline kicking in.
As All Might seemed ready to charge, Spidermonkey leaned in and whispered in a hushed tone meant only for Jirou's ears, thanks to her super hearing. "Jirou, the ground beneath All Might is unstable. Use your speakers and destroy the ground beneath him!"
Jirou nodded, determination lighting her eyes, but her frustration lingered. "Just wait till I get my hands on you, All Might. You'll wish you stayed a villain," she muttered under her breath.
Quickly, she plugged in her jack and unleashed a massive sonic wave. All Might's eyes widened in surprise as the ground beneath him crumbled, swallowing him and the debris of the collapsed building.
With a determined look, Spidermonkey touched the module of the Omnitrix, transforming back into Izuku. He pressed the button, and the faceplate popped up, casting a faint green glow as he scrolled through his forms.
"Guys, I think I've got an idea on how we can beat All Might while searching for the victims, but first, we're going to have to pin him down!" Izuku said, his voice filled with confidence.
"How are you planning on pinning the number one hero?" Kaminari asked, shock written all over his face.
...
"Echo Echo!" Izuku shouted, transforming into a small, white and black robotic figure with green eyes and circular speakers on each side of his head.
As he split into multiple identical duplicates, each Echo Echo shared a determined expression as they dashed forward to strategize with the group near the edge where All Might had fallen.
All Might, still dusting off rubble from his clothes, froze when he heard the sound of approaching footsteps. Looking up, he saw a line of Echo Echoes standing resolutely at the edge, their green eyes narrowed with focus.
"ECHO ECHO!" In perfect unison, the Echo Echoes unleashed a deafening sonic barrage, an immense wave of sound that tore through the air like a hurricane. A blinding cacophony erupted from their speaker-like mouths, creating a colossal wall of noise that reverberated in every direction.
All Might clamped his hands over his ears, grimacing in agony as the sound pummeled him, each note vibrating through his bones and pinning him to the ground with sheer force.
For a moment, the Pro Hero was immobilized by the sonic storm. Slowly, he gritted his teeth, muscles straining as he fought to stand. He pushed against the relentless sound wave, managing to leap into the air, searching the battlefield for scattered students while trying to reorient himself.
...
Down below, Momo stood poised, her large cannon aimed upward. Beside her, an Echo Echo duplicate glanced up, eyes flashing with intensity. "Got him in your sights?"
"Yes," Momo replied confidently, her eyes fixed on the airborne hero.
"Then fire!" the Echo Echo ordered.
With a sharp nod, Momo launched a projectile from her cannon, its trail cutting through the air and catching All Might's attention as it rocketed toward him. The Pro Hero dodged, surging toward Momo and the Echo Echo, unaware that the pair had deliberately led him away from the rest of the group.
"Here he comes, Yaoyorozu! Put on your headphones!" the Echo Echo standing next to her said, green eyes blazing with excitement. "I haven't tested this... Technique in this form, so… fingers crossed!"
Momo quickly generated a pair of noise-canceling headphones, thinking, 'This is the strongest model I can make.' She gave him a thumbs-up after securing them over her ears.
Echo Echo nodded, the green circuitry on his body beginning to glow as he prepared for the ultimate sonic attack.
Red lines flickered over his metallic frame, and his body crackled with energy as he channeled One For All through his small, powerful form. 'To make this work, I'll need to pour One For All through my lungs and vocal cords…' he thought, steeling himself as he watched All Might approach.
Wait—can I even do it? What if this doesn't work? Oh man… only one way to find out! With that, Echo Echo drew in a deep breath, filling his lungs to the limit before releasing a massive sonic wave, amplified by One For All.
The seismic blast tore across the zone with explosive force, shattering windows and sending shards of glass cascading like deadly rain. The ground itself trembled as the sonic wave slammed into All Might, pushing him back with the force of a hurricane.
All Might's face twisted in pain, his ears ringing as the powerful sound wave overwhelmed his senses. He was thrown through the air like a ragdoll, crashing into the street and tumbling violently before finally coming to a stop.
Izuku—now a single Echo Echo again—stared at himself in disbelief, a smile tugging at his metallic lips. "Whoa…" With a flash of green light, he reverted to his human form, standing amidst the aftermath of his incredible display.
"Yaoyorozu?" Izuku turned to Momo, noticing her hands clutching her headphones as her body trembled slightly from the aftermath of the sonic wave. Concerned, he placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"You okay?" he asked gently.
Momo removed her headphones, her expression steadying despite the slight shake in her movements. "I feel a bit rattled," she admitted, "but I'm okay."
Izuku nodded in relief, glancing toward where All Might had landed. "I doubt that was enough to take him down."
Momo's eyes lit up with determination. "Then we need to put our plan into action!"
"Right," Izuku agreed, activating the Omnitrix and quickly scrolling through its options, readying for the next stage.
...
All Might groaned as he struggled to stand, his ears still ringing from the overwhelming sonic barrage. "Young Midoriya..." he muttered, wincing from the residual pain, piecing together their entire battle in his mind.
You've grown so much stronger. You dodged my moves like you knew them ahead of time... even with me holding back, I could barely lay a finger on you, he thought, a faint trickle of blood trailing from his ear. And those sonic attacks—dangerous and well-executed. Smart of you to create distance from your classmates; that kind of power would've incapacitated them.
Suddenly, a flashbang rocketed toward him, exploding in a brilliant burst of light. Blinded, All Might staggered back, his mind racing. 'A flashbang?!'
Before he could recover, a gentle touch lifted him, and he felt his weight vanish as he floated just above the ground. "What the—?" He quickly deduced, 'Young Uraraka's Quirk!' Footsteps echoed, running away from him, and he heard the distinct thwip of webbing.
As his vision returned, All Might's eyes widened at the sight below. Waiting for him was Sato, grinning with determination, and beside him, Spidermonkey, his four-armed alien form sparking with traces of electricity as he tensed.
The spider-like hero cocked two fists back, each limb flexing with immense strength. All Might's heart skipped as the two heroes launched their synchronized attack, fists shooting forward like pistons.
The double uppercut struck him squarely under the chin with a bone-rattling impact, sending All Might hurtling into the sky, weightless and helpless under Zero Gravity's effect.
Spidermonkey didn't waste a moment. He shot a web up, pulling himself into the air with acrobatic finesse, swinging with effortless speed as he closed in on All Might. The Pro Hero twisted, trying to defend, but Spidermonkey was upon him, agile and relentless.
Moving with the precision of a predator, Spidermonkey circled around, wrapping All Might in layer after layer of webbing, binding him tight like a captured insect. Each strand was carefully placed, holding All Might suspended in a cocoon between two buildings.
All Might struggled, testing the webs' strength, but found himself securely bound. Before he could attempt to break free, Spidermonkey shot a thick web string down to the ground, landing it right next to Kaminari, who smirked up at him.
"You got him all wrapped up, bro?" Kaminari called out.
"Nice and tight!" Spidermonkey quipped with a grin, hanging upside down, his eyes glinting with satisfaction.
Without hesitation, Kaminari grabbed the web, unleashing a powerful surge of electricity that crackled up the sticky strands. The current shot through All Might's cocoon, his entire body convulsing as lightning sparked across his muscles. Spidermonkey watched in awe as the Symbol of Peace shuddered, his body seized by the fierce, crackling energy.
Just then, the buzzer went off.
[Heroes have successfully rescued all the victims!] the announcer declared.
As the team regrouped, Spidermonkey swung down, hanging from a web next to his classmates, a triumphant smirk on his face. "Anyone order a fried Number One Hero with a side of Symbol of Peace?" he quipped.
The group chuckled, and Momo gave Izuku a proud smile, clearly impressed by the flawless execution of their plan. The rest of the class, who had pretended to be hurt, quickly gathered around them.
The Omnitrix module on Spidermonkey's chest beeped red, and in a flash of red light, Izuku returned to his normal form—still hanging upside down from the web string. He yelped in surprise. "Eek!"
Momo giggled. "Guess you're not quite as full strength as you thought, huh?" she teased lightly.
Izuku blushed, looking at her from his upside-down position. "Yeah…guess I'm not," he replied, glancing at the Omnitrix symbol now glowing faintly red as he dangled by the web string.
Suddenly, Ochako's cheerful face appeared in front of him, beaming. "Dekiru, that plan was incredible! We totally took down All Might! Freakin' All Might!" she exclaimed, leaning in close to the currently upside-down Izuku, whose hoodie was flopping out.
"Whoa—Uraraka, you're really close!" Izuku stammered, blushing at their sudden proximity. Realizing how close she was, Ochako's face turned bright red, and she quickly stepped back.
"S-Sorry!" she mumbled, flustered.
"Do you need help getting down?" Momo asked with a gentle smile.
Izuku shook his head before letting go and landing on his butt with a soft thud. "Ow," he muttered, rubbing his lower back as Momo and Ochako glanced at each other before giggling.
...
Nearby, All Might had freed himself from the webs and joined the group of students watching the scene. He offered words of praise to those who had helped, admiring their teamwork and the creative execution of their plan.
"You've all improved very well in your first heroics training. Rescuing bystanders is an essential part of being a hero, and it's a lesson I hope you all take to heart," All Might said. "There's no shame in relying on others, especially in rescue operations—a hero should never try to save everyone by themselves in a disaster."
"Yes, sir!" they all responded in unison.
"Good," All Might nodded with a smile as the students started heading toward the bus. Bakugou, holding his stomach from one of All Might's punches, was placed on a stretcher. All Might watched him with a trace of concern. 'I had hoped Bakugou would start seeing the value of teamwork… That's why put him out of the fight immediately, to leave him barely conscious, I just hope he learns to let his pride down before it endangers others, as it almost did at USJ.'
...
The students of Class 1-A were winding down as the final bell rang, signaling the end of the day. They'd finished a bit early, leaving them thirty minutes of free time to relax in the classroom before heading out.
As some began packing up, a commotion outside drew their attention. Izuku, absentmindedly fiddling with the Omnitrix, looked up when Kirishima pointed out the window. "Hey, what's going on out there?"
Ashido leaned over to see what Kirishima was looking at, her eyes widening in surprise. "Whoa… who are those guys?"
Izuku squinted through the window, a sharp, stabbing pain flaring in his head as he tried to focus on the scene outside. Standing near the school gate were two men, both wearing iron masks that resembled the comedy and tragedy faces from theater.
The masks were a stark gray, and the two men stared up at the building in silence before turning and walking away.
"What the–?! What are those weirdos doing here?" Hagakure exclaimed, a visible twitch revealing her agitation even in her invisible form.
Jirou turned to her, raising an eyebrow. "You know them?"
"Sort of," Hagakure replied, slumping back in her seat with an exasperated sigh. "They're part of some weird medieval group near my hometown. Always wearing those creepy masks, like a cosplay club gone completely off the rails."
"Ribbit. Are they causing trouble?" Asui asked, tilting her head thoughtfully.
"Well, not directly at my place, but they set up shop nearby, calling it the 'Knights' Outpost.' They wear these iron masks and go around yelling at anyone passing by about 'aliens,' 'gods of old,' some 'holy sword,' and some guy named Old Jorge." Hagakure shook her head. "Honestly, I'm so glad I dorm here instead of commuting."
Momo, who had been listening intently, suddenly perked up. "I've seen them before! They usually wear this symbol somewhere on their clothes." She reached into her bag and pulled out a picture of an emblem: a shield emblazoned with an infinity symbol in the center.
"Wait… I've seen that symbol somewhere before," Jirou murmured, furrowing her brow as she examined the picture.
...
"I've seen that symbol before," Kaminari said, squinting at the emblem. "My math teacher in middle school had it. I remember him because he was a total jerk to most of us… well, almost everyone. Weirdly, he was always nice to this one quirkless kid."
Midoriya's curiosity piqued. "Nice how?"
Kaminari scratched the back of his head, looking a bit uneasy. "Well… we all know how rough things can be for quirkless people, right?"
Everyone nodded, some with somber expressions.
"Yeah," Jirou chimed in, "I knew a quirkless girl back in school. She was always picked on for no reason, and she was actually a pretty cool person. I ended up helping her and her brother with bullies a lot. But… that just made me a bigger target." She slumped in her seat, recalling the memories. "Pretty much everyone at school was afraid of me after that."
"Same here," Kaminari nodded. "There was this one guy who could turn his hands into rocks, and he tried to beat up the quirkless kid. I used my quirk to protect him, and when the teachers came, that one teacher gave me a free pass. He even said something weird, like, 'You were protecting our last hope.' The guy with the rock hands? He got banned from hero schools and ended up turning to villainy."
Shoji listened quietly before speaking up. "I've never met anyone quirkless myself, but I've heard the torment they go through. It's worse than what some mutants face."
"Yeah, I've heard about it too," Ashido added, grimacing. "Makes me sick."
Midoriya remained silent, eyes distant.
Then Jirou, still focused on the emblem, raised an eyebrow. "I remember seeing a police officer with this symbol once. He'd often arrest people just for using their quirks in public."
Iida swung his arms with an air of authority. "That's not surprising—using your quirk in public is highly illegal."
"Yeah, but this guy took it to an extreme," Jirou replied. "One time, a guy who could make bubbles tried to impress a girl with his quirk—super harmless and honestly kinda sweet. But that officer pinned him down and hauled him off in a cruiser like he'd committed a crime."
Shoji glanced at the emblem. "I know of them too. They often looked at mutants with pity, as if we were… broken."
"Actually," Ashido piped up, "I saw one of those guys at an event once. He was harassing a girl with pink skin, saying she was some sort of… alien?"
Midoriya's interest sharpened. "Alien?"
Izuku tapped a finger to his chin, deep in thought. 'If Tetrax looks like Diamondhead… that could mean aliens really do exist.' His eyes gleamed with realization. 'And if that's true, then…'
...
"They're just a bunch of lunatics, honestly," Hagakure sighed. "They make it so hard for people to go about their day. The constant yelling and getting in people's faces is so annoying! My ex-boyfriend actually had to punch one of them once for getting way too pushy and calling me… what was it again? 'Ectnorite'? Something weird like that."
She shook her head, a look of relief crossing her face. "I've never been so happy to move into the dorms."
"I don't blame you. I'd probably snap if they did that in my area," Jirou muttered, and for once, Iida didn't scold her.
"Anyway, moving on from that…" Hagakure started, taking her phone back as Midoriya held it out to her. She turned to him with a hopeful look. "Midoriya, I was wondering—do you have any ideas on how I could stand out at the sports festival?"
"Huh?! Wh-Why me?" he stammered, clearly surprised.
"Well, you always seem to end up at the center of attention," she said with a small laugh, making Izuku scratch his head awkwardly.
"Not on purpose," he mumbled, though the stabbing pain in his head returned, seeming to pull his attention toward the classroom door.
Just then, the door slid open, and in walked a boy Izuku didn't recognize. He looked around, noticing the expressions of his classmates—quickly shifting to looks of exasperation, annoyance, and outright scowls.
"Uh... Am I missing something?"Izuku asked.
...
The boy strutted into the classroom as if he owned it, his gaze sweeping the room until it settled on Momo. Her eye twitched with irritation.
"Ah, the sorry excuse for hero course students known as Class 1-A," he sneered, as a couple of General Studies students flanked him with smug expressions.
"What do you want, Billions?" Iida asked, his tone uncharacteristically clipped.
Midoriya tilted his head in confusion. "You know this guy, Iida?"
Iida sighed heavily. "Yes… we attended the same middle school." His tone was restrained, but the annoyance was clear, surprising everyone.
Billy grinned smugly, sweeping a hand through his hair. "Somei Private Academy. I'm Billy Billions. President of the Business Course, sole heir to Billions Industries," he announced with a dramatic flair.
Turning his attention back to Iida, he smirked. "I was beginning to think you'd forgotten all about me."
Iida's jaw clenched. "That would be preferable." This shocked everyone around that even Yaoyorozu gasped, and several of the others shot him shocked glances.
"Whoa, Iida," Jirou whispered, eyebrows raised.
Billy clutched his chest in a mock display of hurt. "Oh, Tenya, you wound me."
Iida took a steadying breath. "I'll repeat myself just this once: what do you want? And if it's only to insult my classmates—"
"–Yap, yap, yap," Billy interrupted, rolling his eyes. "You always were a motor mouth, Tenya. Never knew when to shut up and read the room." His gaze shifted to Momo, who was doing her best to ignore him, and his face twisted in irritation when she didn't acknowledge him. Turning to Midoriya, he sneered, sizing him up.
"So you're the… human garbage that Yaoyorozu has supposedly taken an interest in?"
Midoriya's eyes widened as Momo's face turned bright red, her heart thumping. "W-What?! I'm not— I haven't!" she stammered, trying to deny her feelings.
Billy scoffed dismissively. "I don't need your input, Momo. Leave the important decisions to those who actually matter."
Momo's blush faded, replaced by an angry glare.
Billy ignored her reaction, fixing Midoriya with a cold look. "Now, stay away from Momo Yaoyorozu."
"Excuse me?" Midoriya said, taken aback.
"You heard me. Her father promised my father we'd be together. I own her," Billy declared, his tone dripping with arrogance. "I don't like seeing you two together, so here's what you're going to do: drop out of the Hero Course and stay away from her. No contact, whatsoever."
He turned to Momo. "And you will do the same," he commanded, his tone implying serious consequences if she disobeyed.
The entire class looked at Billy in shock, with several incredulous stares. Jirou muttered under her breath, "Entitled prick."
Todoroki, who had been watching quietly, narrowed his eyes in a glare so icy it felt as if the temperature in the room had dropped. His hands clenched as he listened, Billy's entitled tone reminding him all too much of someone else.
Billy turned back to Midoriya. "Understood? Good. Maybe with you gone, this class will finally have some actual talent instead of the sorry excuse for hero course students I see here."
A flash of anger ignited in Midoriya's eyes. "Excuse me?"
Billy sneered. "Most of this class wouldn't make it as sidekicks, let alone real heroes. You all had to rely on you to save them." He laughed mockingly. "Compared to the rest of them, I guess even a 'Deku' must seem amazing."
Midoriya's fists clenched as he glared at Billy.
"Take, for example, the guy with the tail," Billy sneered. "What's he supposed to be good for? And the guy with the octopus arms? What is this, a zoo?"
Midoriya's anger simmered as Billy's insults kept coming.
"Then there's the so-called 'girls' in this class. A frog girl? A horned freak? And the earlobe flatty—"
"Shut up." Midoriya's voice cut through Billy's rant, and the room went silent as he glared at the arrogant boy.
Billy sneered, looking down at him. "Excuse me—"
"No one insults my friends," Midoriya said firmly, taking a step forward, "especially not some spoiled, arrogant jerk who thinks he can tell me what to do."
Billy's face twisted in anger. "How dare—"
"Look, I don't care who you are," Midoriya said, his voice growing stronger with every word, "and honestly, I don't care because you're nothing more than a spoiled brat. Coming in here and insulting people in their space? That's low. And don't you dare call Shoji an octopus again."
Billy backed away slightly, taken aback by Midoriya's intensity.
Midoriya took another step forward. "And one more thing: the girls in this class? They're some of the most amazing, beautiful people I've ever known."
The girls stared at him, cheeks turning pink at the unexpected compliment, while Billy's face contorted with rage. "Y-You actually think these… these—"
"Yes!" Midoriya continued passionately. "Mina Ashido's bright and gorgeous, with a smile that lights up a room. And Tsu? She's the cutest person I've ever met; anyone with half a brain can see that!"
"Yeah!" several of the boys cheered in agreement.
"And as for 'earlobe girl,' her name is Kyouka Jirou," he said, throwing Billy an angry look. "If you didn't have your head so far up your ego, you'd see she's just as amazing as Yaoyorozu."
Jirou's face turned beet red as she looked down, trying to hide her flustered expression.
"Hagakure is more than just invisible—she doesn't need to be seen to be beautiful!" Midoriya declared. "And as for Yaoyorozu, she deserves better than someone who treats people like property."
Billy looked around, realizing he was outnumbered, and stepped back toward the door.
Midoriya pointed to it. "Your insults are not welcome here. As Class President, I'm asking you to don't comeback."
Billy stumbled back in shock, the rest of the class glaring at him. Finally, he huffed in frustration, turned, and stormed out, slamming the door behind him.
As the door closed, a stunned silence filled the room. The girls exchanged glances, each of them still blushing from Midoriya's heartfelt defense. Momo, cheeks burning, looked down, her heart racing.
"Wow, Midoriya," Jirou said, trying to hide her flustered smile. "That was… impressive."
Ashido nudged him playfully. "Didn't know you had it in you, hero."
"The heck was that guy's problem?" Midoriya muttered, shaking his head. He expected a response, but the room had fallen oddly silent.
Turning back to his classmates, he was met with a scene he didn't quite understand. Uraraka was floating mid-air, her face red as a tomato. Jirou was covering her face with her hands, trying to hide a fierce blush.
Ashido grinned at him, looking both delighted and mischievous, as she gave him a little wave. Tsuyu had her eyes averted, clearly flustered, while Yaoyorozu looked away entirely, her cheeks a deep shade of pink.
"Uh… what's up with them?" he asked, scratching his head, confused.
The guys all exchanged knowing glances.
"Just give him a second," Sero said, holding up his hand and counting down with his fingers. "Five… four… three… two…"
Midoriya's face gradually turned crimson as he realized what he had just said to defend them. His eyes widened, and suddenly, steam seemed to pour out from his head. He buried his face in his hands, mortified.
"…One," Sero finished, grinning.
Panicking, Midoriya fumbled with the Omnitrix. "I gotta— I gotta get outta here—!"
"Oh, no, you don't!" Ashido said, laughing as she grabbed his arms to keep him from activating the watch. She leaned in close, her eyes glinting playfully. "You're going to take this embarrassment like a man, Midoriya." Then, in a teasing whisper right by his ear, she added, "So… you really think my eyes are gorgeous, huh?"
Midoriya could only let out a strangled squeak. "H-Help…" he managed, feeling his face go even redder.
Ashido kept teasing him, but her face had turned lilac, showing she was just as flustered as he was. Toru clutched her chest feeling it beat faster and faster.
'Guess... I really do like him...' Toru thought herself, as she looked at Mina teasing him.
...
Next Day
Midoriya woke up early, brushing his teeth and making a half-hearted attempt to tame his unruly hair. The morning sun streamed through the window, casting a warm glow in his small dorm room. Moments later, Iida stirred awake. "You're up early, Midoriya."
"Yeah," Izuku replied, stretching. "After three days of being stuck in my dorm room and about a week in the hospital, I'm just excited to get back to training."
"I see. I hope you've managed to catch up on the work you missed out on?" Iida asked, his tone practical as always.
Izuku flinched at the reminder. "I'll try to catch up. The weekend is coming, so I can focus on it then," he said, determination creeping into his voice.
As they spoke, footsteps echoed from the hallway. They turned to see Yui Kodai yawning as she made her way down the stairs, her hair slightly tousled from sleep and her expression as neutral as ever.
"Good morning, Kodai. Hope you slept well," Iida greeted her with a friendly smile.
"Mh," she replied with a slight nod, her gaze distant.
"Uhm... m-morning, Kodai," Midoriya stammered, his heart racing. Yui paused, parting her hair to the side, and glanced at him with her typical neutral expression, blinking a few times. She seemed to study him for a bit. Her usual unimpressed expression made Izuku sweat a little.
"Morning, Izuku," she said in her usual monotone voice.
Izuku froze, and Iida stiffened beside him, looking like he'd turned to stone. Only a few people ever called him by his first name—mainly his mom and Pony, who, due to a language barrier, had started using "Izuku" without him and their way she said it with her smile, Izuku didn't have the heart to correct.
"I... Bu... uh... uh..." Izuku sputtered, the words tumbling from his mouth in a flustered mess.
Yui turned to continue her path, and as she walked away, a faint blush crept across her cheeks, deepening the further she got.
"Hmm, I see. First-name basis. Clearly, you two are a couple," Iida noted, pushing his glasses up with an air of certainty.
If Midoriya had a drink in hand, he would've done a spit take. "Nonononon! It's not like that, Iida! We're just really good friends!" he protested, his face turning crimson.
Iida looked skeptical, his brows furrowing in thought. "She just called you by your first name. I assume you both are clearly in a relationship."
"She calls me by my first name! I'm just as surprised as you!" Izuku insisted, feeling the heat of embarrassment rising.
Iida remained unconvinced. "Hmm, I'm not sure I believe you, Midoriya. During our movie marathon, she sat on your lap—clearly, you two are close."
"I'm not lying, I swear! We're just really, really good friends! Besides, a girl like Kodai would never like me!" Midoriya exclaimed, his voice rising in frustration. Meanwhile, Yui, who had been lingering by the corner, facepalmed in exasperation. "Haven't I been obvious?" she whispered to herself.
Iida continued to look doubtful but ultimately walked downstairs for breakfast. Midoriya followed him, still feeling flustered, and they both froze when they saw a girl sitting on the couch—one neither of them recognized. They exchanged wide-eyed glances.
"Wow, she's really pretty," Midoriya murmured, unable to hide his surprise.
"Let's find out who she is before you start going off on her, okay, Iida?" Midoriya urged, glancing at his friend.
"But Midoriya, she isn't one of our classmates from 1-A or 1-B! How did she even get into the dorm?" Iida whispered back, his tone laced with concern.
"Maybe someone let her in," Midoriya shrugged, trying to stay calm.
"Without informing us?" Iida asked, disbelief evident in his voice.
"Or maybe she's lost. Let's not accuse her of anything just yet," Midoriya said, taking a deep breath as he approached the girl.
"Don't stutter. Don't stutter. Don't stutter," he thought, gathering his courage as he moved closer to the pretty girl. He gulped.
"H-H-Hello," Midoriya stuttered, his nerves evident.
"Dammit."
The girl looked at him and giggled, a sound that was both cute and oddly familiar. "Midoriya, we've known each other for a while. I would appreciate it if you didn't stutter when talking to me."
Midoriya and Iida exchanged confused glances before shrugging. The girl spoke as if they were old friends, but her voice had a striking familiarity to it.
He stared at her for a moment, trying to place her. The girl noticed his gaze and started to blush, her cheeks turning a soft shade of pink.
"Midoriya, you're staring," she said, looking away shyly, which only made her blush deepen.
He had to find out who she was and how she had gotten into the dorms. "U-Uhm, who are you?" Midoriya asked, his curiosity piqued.
The girl looked confused, pouting slightly. "Midori, that's not funny!"
Iida and Midoriya widened their eyes in realization.
"Is that... H-Hagakure!?"
"Uh, obviously? Honestly, dude, you seem so out of it today. You too, Iida; you both look like you've seen a ghost."
"Y-You're Hagakure? But... Hagakure, have you looked in a mirror?" Midoriya blurted out.
"Hmm? I did nothing as usual. Why?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.
Before they could respond, footsteps echoed from the staircase as Jirou descended, yawning, followed by Aoyama striking a pose as usual.
"Morning, Midoriya—Woah! Who is she?" Jirou exclaimed, her eyes wide as she took in the girl.
"Jirou, that's not funny," Hagakure protested, a hint of anxiety creeping into her voice.
The girl widened her eyes. "Hagakure!?"
"Yes? Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked, her nervousness showing.
Midoriya turned to Jirou. "Y-You're seeing this, right?"
The girl nodded, and Iida took off his glasses, rubbing his eyes in disbelief. "No, this is real."
"Damn, she's pretty," Jirou said, and Midoriya could only nod in agreement, a warm feeling spreading in his chest.
Jirou turned to Aoyama, who was sparkling and staring into space. "Aoyama, mirror," Kyouka demanded.
Midoriya and Iida exchanged confused glances. "Jirou, you don't really expect—" Iida began.
"Here you go," Aoyama replied, producing a mirror from seemingly nowhere.
"Where did that even come from!?" Midoriya gasped in shock.
Jirou held up the mirror to Hagakure, who widened her eyes as tears began to trickle down her cheeks. "I-I'm visible?"
Everyone nodded as she looked at her arms, astonished to see her skin. "I'm visible... I'm visible!" she shouted, her excitement infectious as she jumped around with the biggest smile on her face.
Everyone else was still stunned, but Aoyama chuckled. "No denying you're dazzling, but not as dazzling as me!" he said with a grin.
"Shut it, let her have this moment, pretty boy!" Jirou shot back playfully.
"Can you turn back?" Iida asked, concern lacing his voice.
Hagakure stopped her bouncing, looking worried. "I-I don't know. What if I can't turn back?"
Her panic was evident, and Midoriya felt a twinge of worry for her. "Uh, what were you thinking before we got here?" he asked, trying to help.
She looked shy, a blush creeping back to her cheeks. "I-I was thinking I really wished Midori could see my face," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. Aoyama noticed the growing romance and grinned.
Midoriya's face turned beet red. "Ahem I-I uhm..." He struggled to find words, flustered and overwhelmed.
Feeling embarrassed, Hagakure began to turn invisible again, her clothes disappearing first until she was completely unseen.
"Woah, you're invisible!" Jirou exclaimed, stunned.
Iida cupped his chin, intrigued. "Even her clothes have vanished. Interesting."
The girl's footsteps could be heard as she moved closer to Midoriya, appearing right in front of him. "H-How do you think I look, Midori?" she asked shyly, her heart racing.
Midoriya's eyes darted around the room, trying his hardest not to meet her gaze directly. "V-Visible," he managed to say, his voice barely above a whisper.
A cross vein appeared on her head, a playful pout forming on her lips. "That's not what I wanted to hear." But then, she broke into a smile. "This is awesome!" she exclaimed, twirling around and disappearing again.
