Queens, New York.

Atop a towering clock tower, a massive clock ticks rhythmically.

From the top floor, the scenery of New York is laid out in full view.

Pedestrians move about on the streets as the setting sun casts a warm glow, and more car lights begin to flicker on.

From above, it looks like bands of soft-colored lights.

The orange glow illuminates the ground, resembling a beautiful oil painting.

At the very top of the clock tower, two figures sit on the edge of the tower, contentedly gazing at the distant scenery.

Since Hode left Manhattan, he's been brought here by Gwen.

"You really enjoy the view, don't you?"

Hode supported himself with his hands and tilted his head to look at the Ghost-Spider beside him.

He noticed that Gwen particularly liked places where she could take in the scenery.

"Mm."

Gwen nodded slightly, a hint of a smile on her lips, her voice laced with a touch of laziness.

In the past, she had appreciated the view alone, but now she had someone she could trust beside her.

Her heart fluttered a bit more; that was more than enough for her.

"It seems the scenery in Queens never gets old for you!"

Hode chuckled and turned his gaze back to the distance.

"Not that I'm tired of it, but... it's because you're here."

Gwen said, removing her mask to reveal slightly flushed cheeks.

As she spoke, her heart raced; to her, it felt like a confession.

But this was also the most genuine thought in her mind.

"You've learned to charm people, little Gwen."

Hode lightly pinched her cheek, enjoying the softness of her skin.

"Hehe..."

Instead of resisting, Gwen leaned in a little closer to him, inhaling the faint sandalwood scent mixed with the cologne he wore.

She couldn't help but smile. Although she didn't know how Hode felt about her, she was certain that she had already fallen for him.

"By the way, have you ever seen a reversed New York?"

Gwen suddenly stood up, stretching her elegant curves and excitedly turning to Hode.

"Reversed New York?"

Hode looked at her, puzzled; he truly had no idea what a reversed New York looked like.

"Exactly! It means looking at it upside down! Silly!"

Gwen shot out a web from her wrist, and her body hung upside down from the rooftop.

Her golden hair flowed down and glittered in the sunlight.

With a beaming smile, she looked at Hode with anticipation: "Do you want to try it with me?"

"Sure."

Hode didn't hang upside down but instead spread his arms wide and clapped his hands together.

At that moment, the scenery of New York instantly flipped upside down.

When Gwen saw this scene, she was momentarily stunned.

"This is!"

Gwen returned to Hode's side, looking at him with disbelief.

It was her first time witnessing such a bizarre sight; it felt extraordinarily strange.

It was as if the world had been flipped upside down.

Yet she could distinctly feel that this was merely affecting her senses.

"It's just a little magic trick,"

Hode smiled and shook his head, holding Gwen's hand as they sat at the edge.

In reality, the whole world hadn't changed; he had simply altered the way they perceived it with magic.

It wasn't like the mirror dimension of the Ancient One.

Hode had to admit that this was the first time he had seen an upside-down New York.

It felt as if the sky and the earth had switched places.

This was a completely different experience, as if the entire world were suspended in the air.

He couldn't help but shift his gaze to Gwen beside him.

Although the view was beautiful, it paled in comparison to the beauty sitting next to him.

The dusk light illuminated Gwen's petite figure, with her porcelain-like face, snow-white skin, arched eyebrows, starry eyes, and golden hair swirling in the autumn breeze—it was like living wallpaper.

Gwen sensed Hode's intense gaze and looked at him; their eyes met, causing her cheeks to flush. "Stop staring at me. Look at the scenery."

She couldn't help but divert her gaze, but even so, her sensitive spider-sense still picked up on the heat from his scrutiny.

At that moment, her heart was fluttering.

"Beautiful scenery deserves to be paired with beauty."

Hode said calmly, but the tranquility in his voice was incredibly moving.

"Isn't the upside-down world fascinating?"

Gwen's flushed face felt hot, and she quickly changed the subject.

However, the reversed scenery gave her a brand-new experience.

Especially sitting next to a man, her heart raced like it never had before.

"It is a bit unconventional; it's as if I'm seeing a whole new world,"

Hode nodded, agreeing. He had never thought of viewing the world from this different angle before.

His deep, dark eyes, like black gems, returned to the horizon.

Only when Gwen sensed that Hode had shifted his gaze did she cautiously look at him.

As the darkness fell, the city's neon lights reflected on his face, highlighting the sharp contours of his features, giving him an inexplicable allure.

Is this really the man I love?

The more Gwen looked, the more she felt Hode was like a black hole.

The black hole drew her gaze closer, and she found it difficult to look away.

"Hode..."

Gwen suddenly spoke up: "I feel a bit dizzy; it's as if I have a fever."

"How could that be..."

Hode was surprised; how could Gwen suddenly have a fever out of nowhere?

After all, Gwen was the Ghost-Spider and had a much better physique than ordinary people.

He couldn't think of anything else and quickly placed his left hand on her forehead.

In the next moment, as his warm hand touched Gwen's forehead, her cheeks felt slightly hot, and goosebumps rose all over her.

"Indeed, you're a bit warm."

Hode definitely felt her hot cheeks.

"You really are a fool..."

Gwen pouted, murmuring softly.

"But... your forehead is indeed a bit..."

Just then, while Hode was about to say something else, he once again heard Gwen's voice beside him.

"Let's try it a different way."

Gwen whispered, her earlobes turning slightly red.

"What did you say?"

Hode was momentarily confused about what Gwen meant.

But he also sensed that something seemed off with her now.

In the next second,

With a whiff of perfume, the girl suddenly moved closer to him.

Hode instinctively hugged the delicate beauty in his arms tighter. At the same time, he found it a bit hard to believe. Had he just been kissed forcefully? And by none other than the innocent Gwen!
