Karen Jenson stared wide-eyed at the serum in Ye Hai's hand and said, "Don't tell me you've actually developed a serum?"

"You're right. I did create a serum to solve the vampire virus. It took me just two minutes, and then I took a quick shower because my girlfriend said I smelled weird. I figured it was probably because of the heavy garlic scent around here," Ye Hai said with a teasing grin as he lightly landed on the ground, looking at the three of them.

Karen Jenson relaxed her elegant shoulders and turned to Blade, who had been standing still. "Do you believe this, Blade?"

Blade replied flatly, "He has no reason to lie. He's not a boring person."

"Oh?" Karen Jenson was slightly taken aback and then looked at the old man, Jamal Afari, saying, "Old Man, you have experience in this field. What do you think?"

"Of course it's impossible," Jamal Afari immediately denied it. He stroked his disheveled beard and stated firmly, "This can't be true. This guy is just taking advantage of his strength to toy with us recklessly."

Jamal Afari was clearly upset, but he also respected Ye Hai's power and dared to only protest verbally.

Ye Hai scoffed, tossed the serum to Blade, and said, "It's up to you now, Blade. Your girlfriend can handle this."

Blade hurriedly caught it and replied, "She's not my girlfriend."

He felt it was necessary to clarify this; there was no room for joking since they had known each other for less than a day. How could this woman possibly be his girlfriend?

He was always this meticulous.

Blade pulled out a syringe, drew the blue serum into it, and said roughly to Karen Jenson, "Hey, Karen Jenson, extend your arm!"

"What for?" Karen Jenson stepped back cautiously and said, "I warn you, don't inject me with these unknown substances. I will absolutely not take it; I can handle my own problems. Don't forget, I'm a medical doctor..."

"Alright, medical doctor."

Blade grinned and suddenly yanked her over, firmly gripping her arm with one hand while skillfully locating her vein with the other and inserting the needle...

"Let go of me, let go! You're killing me, you bastard..." Karen Jenson shouted, struggling desperately, but it was futile. She could only watch helplessly as the blue serum entered her body.

"You'll be fine; I believe in him," Blade reassured her, gently letting her go. Karen Jenson angrily threw the syringe from his hand to the ground, stepping on it until it shattered. Then, in a fit of rage, she overturned everything on the table.

"Blade, it looks like your girlfriend is about to be drenched! Ha ha!" Jamal Afari laughed heartily, reveling in their misfortune.

"She's not my girlfriend; at least not now." Blade said seriously, his voice rough, yet his tone unyielding and firm like iron — it was his habit, this meticulous demeanor he had maintained for many years.

"You idiot, you think I would ever date you? Keep dreaming, you idiot, you fool..."

Karen Jenson hurled insults at Blade, expressing her frustrations with foul language, but Blade remained unfazed, seemingly unaffected.

Ye Hai raised three fingers at them and said, "The serum acts quickly — you'll see results in three minutes."

"Alright, three minutes. It's already been over a minute..." Karen Jenson suddenly stopped cursing as she touched the two bites on her neck. That area had been burning with pain, like it was infected, and Jamal Afari had told her it was due to the garlic serum destroying the vampire virus. Unfortunately, she had injected the garlic too late to eliminate all the vampire viruses.

But now that burning sensation was gone. Did that mean the vampire virus was being cleared away or that the garlic serum had worn off? No, if the garlic serum had worn off, she should have immediately transformed into a vampire.

Thinking of this, Karen Jenson felt a surge of hope and glanced at the handsome Asian man. It seemed this young handsome guy really had a way to eliminate the vampire virus.

"What's wrong?" Jamal Afari noticed the woman had ceased her outburst and felt disappointed at the lack of drama, unable to resist asking.

"The serum Dr. Ye brought seems to be effective," Karen Jenson said with a hint of joy on her face.

Jamal Afari's murky eyes flickered slightly, and he casually asked, "Really? Are you sure you're not mistaken? Women's instincts are often unreliable, ha ha!"

"It's almost been three minutes, right?" Ye Hai said slowly, "You can check her blood cells; I assume you're familiar with that sort of thing?"

"There's no need for such trouble."

Jamal Afari abruptly stood up, taking a flashlight from the drawer and saying, "This is a UV flashlight. When the UV light shines on a vampire's body, the exposed area will burn. Woman, if you still have the vampire virus in you, shining this on your body will cause pain!"

As he spoke, he flipped the switch, and a thick beam of blue light shot out, illuminating Karen Jenson's exposed skin. Seeing that she showed no fear, he continued to shine the light around her body several times, then trembled, his trembling hands losing grip on the flashlight, which fell to the ground.

"Is this real? Are there really treatments for the vampire virus?" Jamal Afari stammered, still unable to believe it.

Ye Hai smiled and said, "The serum I developed has never been wrong."

"So, does that mean this serum works for me too? After I inject it, can I become a normal person?" Blade's eyes glinted with desire.

"This serum is only effective for those recently infected with the vampire virus. If too much time passes and one has transformed into a vampire, the genetic change will occur, and this little serum won't work," Ye Hai said with a chuckle.
