AN: So i really need to learn to finish what ive started before starting new stuff
Location: Rebeat Resort
As the pair of Candidates made their way to Rebeat Resort Nepgear had sent a text to IF and Compa to inform them of the quest that she had taken
Turns out the guild agent and the nurse had somehow made it to the location before Nepgear and Uni did
"Ge-Ge, looks like you made a cute little friend while you were at the guild" Compa says with a smile
Nepgear hums, "guys, this is Uni, Uni these are IF and Compa" Nepgear does a quick introduction
"Nice to meet you" Uni says to them with a respectful bow before she looks at Nepgear with a bit of a smug look, "so you weren't doing quests by yourself", she gives Nepgear a once over before continuing, "i guess that should be expected with those noodle arms of yours"
"I'll have you know that these noodle arms of mine can toss you all the way back to Lastation, missie" Nepgear says with her hands on her hips, "besides, the only reason i have babysitters is because mom's scared something might happen since i'm not ok, so to speak" she says looking sheepish
Uni frowns upon hearing that, "You shouldn't be out here doing quests if you're sick"
"I'll be fine, mom's mostly just paranoid" Nepgear waves off her concern, "sides, there's four of us here, so the chances of my 'sickness' acting up is even more slim"
"Fine" Uni says despite looking conflicted about the odd situation that she found herself in, "at least it's an easy quest, so we should be done pretty quickly" as much as Uni wanted to spend more time with her new found friend
A little later
"There, all done! what did i tell you, easy or what?" Uni says with a smile
"Boo, that was too fast" Nepgear childishly says with a pout, "i couldn't even warm up properly!"
Uni giggles "you weren't kidding about your noodle arms, you're stronger than i thought, but nowhere near a match for me"
"I said I haven't warmed up!" Nepgear says and stomps her foot childishly, "how would you know how strong i am if you haven't seen me at my best?"
A short distance away wit IF and Compa
"Those two are really close friends already" Compa says with a giggle
IF nods "looks that way, but i'm not sure how I feel about being called her babysitter" she says as she scratched her cheek
"I feel the same way" Compa says before giggling, "but that's because i saw Ge-Ge be Iffy's mommy for a short time"
"The hell are you bitches doing? Do you think this is a place to have a picnic?" A vaguely familiar voice says from behind them
Back over to Nepgear and Uni, the pair of them suddenly heard IF and Compa scream in pain
Uni saw how Nepgear changed from the playful girl that she was joking around with to this more serious, CPU-escue girl in real time
It was jarring to say the least
"Y'know, I could have sworn that we threw you in jail before long before we left to come here, ASIC brat" Nepgear said coldly
It was a stark contrast to how she was just seconds ago
"Heh, do you brats think you can beat me?! You were lucky last time" She said with complete confidence in her ability
Wait…
ASIC?
Uni narrowed her eyes at the green haired, grey skinned girl
Without warning she activated her HDD, fully intent on beating the ASIC officiate and sending her to jail
"Are you sure about that?" Nepgear asks dryly while gesturing to Uni without so much as missing a beat
later
"What the hell! Why are there two of them?!" Underling yells as she runs off
"You!" Black sister says heatedly while looking at Nepgear pointedly
"Me!" Nepgear chimes with a smile on her face
"You're a CPU?" Black sister's eyes narrow dangerously
"Yeap~" the lilac haired girl says without losing her smile, "wanna come with? To save our sisters and all that jazz?" she asked as she approached the other CPU candidate
"Shut up! Don't come any closer!" Black sister yells as she points her railgun at the lilac haired candidate, "Why? WHY ARE YOU HERE AND NOT MY SISTER?!" she yells with unseen tears prickling her eyes
Nepgear's smile leaves her face and there was a flash of concern for the Lastation Candidate's well being in her eyes but ultimately didn't say anything
"She didn't let come with her 3 years ago…" she refused to look at the lilac haired candidate, "i could have saved them if i was there, I COULD HAVE DONE WHAT YOU COULDN'T" she finished with a glare at Nepgear
Nepgear sighs softly, "i'll be honest, i wasn't lying when i said i was 'sick'" she said the word "sick" in air quotes
"De-Sync is a bitch to deal with" Uni flinched when she heard that
'De-Sync…?' the name of the ailment echoed in her head
'De-Sync…!'
'How the heck is she moving around so well if she's De-Synced?' Black sister's thoughts raged, 'but… De-Sync isn't something that you lie about'
It also made sense why she needed 'babysitters' as she called them
And her 'mom' would most likely be her Oracle who would be undoubtedly worried out of her mind
"But it's clear that you want a fight so…" Nepgear continued like she didn't just give Uni the biggest crossroads crisis of her life, "let's make this quick, yeah" she finishes with a sweet smile
On one hand, if Nepgear loses it can just be attributed to De-Sync and in a way she's bullying a disabled person
On the other hand, if Nepgear wins… if she wins, then Uni is way weaker than she would like to believe
It's a lose-lose situation
The best course of action here for Uni would be to turn around and leave, retreat to the Basilicom, continue to do quests to get stronger like she has been doing the last three years
"Shut up! I don't want to see or hear from you ever again!" Uni yelled at Nepgear as she flew off to Lastation Basilicom
The Lilac haired girl just blinked, "hot damn, that was the fastest i've ever seen her get that tsun" she said with a giggle
