Location: Lastation Guild
When Uni arrived at the Guild the next day she saw that RED is stuffing her face full of pancakes with a big glass of what looks like orange juice next to her admittedly massive pile of pancakes
Although, for some reason there's a comically sized bump on her head
Across from RED is Brin who is enjoying a cup of coffee
Next to Brin is a girl that Uni hasn't met yet
She is a fair skinned girl with one visible ruby eye as her right eye is covered by a black eyepatch with a red gear design on it, she has deep red hair that's tied into a side ponytail and is wearing a black and crimson gothic lolita dress
The girl with the eyepatch is seated rather elegantly while drinking a cup of tea
Uni approaches the group of three
Brin smiles at the approaching candidate "Good morning Uni, did you have a good rest?"
Uni nods, "good morning"
The Bluenette gestures to the red haired girl next to her, "this is Magi"
Uni gives her a polite bow, "it's nice to meet you"
Magi gives the ravenette a smile, "nice to meet you too" Magi then turns to Brin with a cheshire grin, "so this is the Uni you've been gushing about"
"Magi, I wasn't gushing"
"Brinny, its you, you were absolutely gushing"
Brin rolls her eyes and goes back to her coffee, upon closer inspection Uni notices a faint blush on Brin's face
"So, umm… what's… going on?" Uni asks with a mix of nerves and confusion
Magi waves it off, "it's nothing bad, Brinny here, is normally very quiet and reserved but last night" she giggles, "it's still very reserved by normal people standards, but to those of us that have known her for as long as we have, she might as well been gushing"
Uni's head snaps towards Brin with a blushing wide eyed look on her face
"Relax~" Magi says to Uni seeing her expression, 'i should have gotten a camera, Lady Nepgear would have printed and framed this image if she saw it'
"She said like seven sentences that involved you"
"HOW IS SEVEN SENTENCES GUSHING!" Uni yells at the red haired girl
"Because Brinny here normally gets everything she needs to say voiced out in three to four" Magi says without missing a beat, "so you need to be really special for her to break her sentence count"
Location: Septent Resort
Brin was grumbling under her breath and Uni was as silent as death, keeping her head down as to hide her blush
Despite this, both of them were sticking close to one another
So much so that Uni can hear Brin Bad mouthing her friend
Uni didn't think that the Blue haired Knightly girl could swear up a storm like she is right now
"She's really tearing through them, huh…" Uni says softly
Brin stops her grumbling and glances at Uni before looking In Front of them where RED is trying to fight monsters but is unable to due to the fact that Magi is shredding through the monsters with her scythe
"It's… understandable" Brin says, "Magi loves to brag about our lady, but recent events have made it so that it becomes problematic for our lady if she does"
"So she's letting out some misplaced frustrations?" Uni asks
Brin simply nods
"Doesn't your lady get annoyed by, y'know, the bragging?"
Brin snorts, "she tunes it out"
Uni blinks and looks to the Blunette
"She listens to whatever praises magi sings about her, but only once" Brin says with a light snicker, "after that if she hears the same praise a second time she instinctively tunes it out"
Uni giggles at that before she sighs softly, "still, I'd like to be able to fight too"
Brin gave Uni a wry smile, "at least you're getting xp from being in the party" she says with a shrug
Uni pouted, "I don't want to gain xp and level up by doing nothing"
"Understandable, no one in their right mind wants to get stronger by doing nothing" Brin says, "Unlike me, Magi's not thinking about helping you get stronger, she's thinking of how to finish up our given task so that she can go back to being around our lady"
"Obsessed much?"
"Very much so, there's only 2 people that i know of that can ruin her mood just by entering the room"
"Wow" Uni managed to get out through a giggle
"It's always funny to watch Magi lose her composure" Brin says with a grin
They arrived at the location of where the monster that they needed to slay was
But there wasn't a monster
In fact there was a young man with spiky snow white hair and a bright red visor hiding his eyes
He's wearing a gray, almost silver, bodysuit covered in high tech armor, the chest plate is black with red linings that give him a rather imposing physique, on his arms are black high tech gauntlets with red linings that cleanly shows every segment that make it
On the gauntlet on his left arm is a flared segment that functions as an energy blaster
On his legs are conical metallic boots that cover his legs from below the knees, the boots have integrated jet boosters in the bottom of them
On his back are 3 pairs of red energy wings
"You took your time" he speaks once they're within hearing distance, "just what i'd expect from a fake"
"A fake…?" Uni asks surprise evident on her face
Next to Uni Brin, Magi and RED get ready for a fight against the nameless man
"Yes a fake", the man states, he starts walk around the group but his ravenous gaze lingers on Uni "you are nothing but a worthless copy of Noire"
"W-what are you talking about" Uni takes a step back as her own doubts of her capabilities start to crush her mentally and emotionally
Uni unintentionally takes a couple of steps back before falling on her butt
The worst part was the fact that the man's voice carried no emotion, so his statements come off as him stating facts rather than an individual's opinion
"I will rid Lastation of your taint, worthless copy" with his piece said, he rushes at them
Location: Lastation Hotel
IF, Compa and Trink walked into the room where Nepgear was resting (read: drugged and knocked out) in, only to find the Lilac haired girl awake and in the shower taking, well, a shower
"I thought that she was supposed to be out for a few more hours" IF says
"She is" Compa says, "i did the measurements and everything"
"I told you" Trink says with a grin, "Lady Nepgear's built different"
"Built different or not…" IF starts to say
"'You don't just brush off a couple hours worth of Ketamine' right?" a fully dressed Nepgear says as she comes out of the shower
"Ge-ge, I"
"Relax, i'm not mad" Nepgear says not in the slightest bit bothered by what her friends did, "besides, it's been a while since i've had a sleep that good"
Nepgear looks at Trink, "I take it, we have the locay?"
"Yes, lady Nepgear" Trink says with a grin, "it's in the same location as the Hematite crystal, Lady Uni along with Brin and Magi should be there now"
Nepgear blinks, "Judge, Judy and Executioner?"
"She bailed on day one after she and Brin met Lady Uni"
Nepgear sighs but not all that surprised by what she just heard, "I'll deal with her later, anyways, then it's time to head out"
Location: Septent Resort
As Nepgear's group were running to the location of the monster that will drop the Hematite Crystal, they can hear sounds of battle
"That sounds intense" IF mutters, "just how strong is that monster"
"Not strong enough for it to sound this intense" came Nepgear's reply, "let's hurry, i don't like this" she says as she speeds up
On the pathway to where the fight is taking place they can see what's going on
Near one edge of the impromptu arena is Uni on her knees seemingly in a state of shock
In front of Uni is a red haired girl standing guard and protecting her while Magi and Brin are tag teaming an unknown man in what can be described as a male version of a CPU's processor that is reminiscent of Black Heart
Nepgear suddenly stops a short ways from the ongoing battle
"Gear, why are you stopping"
"IF, Compa, i need the two of you to go and check up on Uni"
"Ok, Ge-ge but what are.."
"Trink, gravi-regroup and barrier combo"
"Understood" Trink says with a nod
"Now go"
"Gear"
"I SAID GO!"
Compa squeaks and starts running while IF is force to go ahead because Trink was dragging her
Like before with Lancio, Ethereal Shuriken, Kunai and Short Swords form around her but this time at a much larger quantity
"64-bit"
"STOP DRAGGING ME" IF yanks her hand out of trink's surprisingly strong grip
"Sorry miss IF" Trink gives an apology to the Guild member, "but questioning Lady Nepgear when she gets serious like that never ends well"
"Uni-Uni, are you ok?" Compa asks the candidate
Uni's head slowly turns towards Compa, 'good, she's still responding' Compa thinks with relief but the dullness of Uni's eyes concerned her significantly
"Graviton" Trink casts her gravity spell and like Nepgear had instructed her pulled Magi and Brin towards the group
And as soon as the pair were in range Trink stops her gravity spell, "Refle-Gear" she casts the barrier spell around the entire group
"Do you honestly believe such a tactic will work against me?" the man questions with his monotone voice
Trink giggles, "oh this isn't to protect us from you" she grins, "this is to protect us from her"
While they couldn't see the man's expression, the slight tilt of his head indicated his confusion
"TSUNAMI!" on came the water based natural disaster made entirely of ethereal weapons hitting the entire battlefield as well as a little over a meter radius out of it
"What the heck is going on!?" IF yells in surprise
"The reason why Lady Nepgear told us to go ahead" says Trink
IF, Compa and the yet to be introduced RED looked on in shock
Once the tsunami of ethereal weapons had ended and the dust settled
We see that the man, while he had taken some damage, was still standing
There's some sparks coming from his wings and buster arm, but other than that there was no substantial damage done to him
A short distance in front of the barrier stands Nepgear looking more serious than anyone other than the familiars have seen her
"Sorry about cutting in" Nepgear says, "but your level's a bit high for them"
