Episode 403: Pokémon Hunter J
Count Ernsesh comes to a transmitter and he makes contatct with Hunter J on her frequency.
"Pokémon Hunter J, I presume," Count Ernesh surmised.
"You're Count Ernesh, aren't you? I never thought someone of your stature would be making contact with a Pokémon Hunter such as myself. But you have some money to spend. How may I be of service to you?" Hunter J asked.
"Yes, there is a particular Pokémon that has peaked my interest just very recently. In fact, it is an Eevee," Count Ernesh said.
"An Eevee? Wouldn't you be better off with something more of your taste, perhaps a legendary Pokémon as a matter of fact?" Hunter J asked.
"Oh, the Eevee I had my eye on is a rather a special Eevee," Count Ernesh said. He displayed Riku's Eevee's image on the screen. "This is the Eevee I wish for you to retrieve. I require your services due to your infamous reputation. The payment shall be great."
"How much are we talking?" Hunter J asked.
"Would 25 million be suffice?" Count Ernesh asked. Hunter J just grinned.
"You just talked yourself into a good deal, Count Ernesh," Hunter J said.
"Excellent. This Eevee is in the possession of a boy with silver hair, matching the hairstyle. Bring it to me at once, and the payment is yours" Count Ernesh said. He breaks contact with the Pokémon Hunter. "Loki!" Loki appeared in a green flash.
"You rang?" Loki asked.
"I require your service," Count Ernesh said.
"What is it that you want me to do? I can get it done," Loki said.
"I want you to go to the Sinnoh region and locate Riku, and make sure everything is going as planned," Count Ernesh said.
"I did say I can get it done, and I'll do it. Seeing that silver-haired kid throw a dark temper tantrum is too good to miss," Loki said as he laughed before he left through a void.
"Yes, it is indeed too good to miss," Count Ernesh said.
Meanwhile, in Hunter J's aircraft, she gave the orders to her crew.
"Listen up, people. We have been given our next target for 25 million. All men keep their eyes opened for a boy with silver hair and an Eevee matching the hairstyle," Hunter J ordered.
"Yes, sir," the crew said.
under her chair, a listening device is placed underneath where J cannot find it. It turns out that Rocky Beams, Master Detective is on the case. He infiltrated Hunter J's organization with the intentions of bringing her down and getting the lost of clients she has and/or had. He is wearing the same kind of uniform as the actual crew.
"Rocky Road to Chocolate Chip. Come on, Chocolate Chip," Rocky said.
"Hear you loud and clear, Rocky Road. You sure it's a good idea for us to talk over the comms? I mean, it's very risky since they keep tabs on who made contact and who didn't," a male voice said from his end.
"It's fine. I'm using ours, not theirs. My tech is designed to keep anyone from eavesdropping on any and all transmissions. Anyway, the reason I'm calling you now is to the check the progress on the virus?" Rocky asked.
"The virus is nearly completed. Your plan to bug their systems is a genius move. They'll be too preoccupied with the virus while you download J's client list into our main computer," Chocolate Chip said.
"Yeah, figured they would they would pick up on the download, so that's why I came up with the virus idea. It should be able to give them something to worry about while distracted. After that, they won't have any idea on what's going on," Rocky said.
"At least the Sinnoh region will be glad that a notorious Pokémon Hunter J will finally be brought to justice," Chocolate Chip said.
"Don't count your winnings yet. I'll make my move as soon as J makes hers. Just let me know when that virus is ready," Rocky said.
"Can do," Chocolate chip said, breaking contact. "Now, to get back before anyone notices my disappearing act."
Over to Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Lucas, Dawn, Rei, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, and Piplup, it has been a day since Dawn has retrieved her own Keyblade. Dawn has begun her training under Rei, learning about combat as well as magic. Rei had taught her some of the basic skills.
"You're making a good start, Dawn. Nicely done," Rei said.
"Thank you, Master. I'm glad that I have you as a teacher. That means I can learn beside Kairi and the others," Dawn said.
Yes, but I should have mentioned it'll take years of your life to learn. I know that from experience," Rei said.
"I'm sure you can teach me plenty of things, Master," Dawn said.
"I can't promise that I'll teach you everything, but I'll do what I can," Rei said.
Later, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Namineé, Lucas, Dawn, Rei, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, and Piplup were walking through the ravaged path, unaware of Loki in the same area as they are. He monitors them through a telescope.
"Well, well, well, it looks like the new girl is being shown the ropes. Too bad I'm on the sidelines this time, but Count Ernesh wants me to make sure his plans goes smoothly," Loki said as he notices a drone from J's aircraft. "And speak of the devil. The show is about to begin."
Aboard Hunter J's ship, the drone shows Riku's Eevee on the screen.
"Target in sight," One of J's crewmen said.
"Excellent. Time to go to work," Hunter J said.
Over to Rocky, he heard J was taking her leave. She lets out her Salamence and rode on its back and started to fly. Rocky witnesses her leaving the aircraft when he receives the transmission from Chocolate Chip.
"Chocolate Chip to Rocky Road, the virus is good and ready," Chocolate Chip reported.
"Good timing. Hunter J just went to work. So, it's time for me to go to work," Rocky said, finding a computer monitor and uploads the virus disguised as a download through a drive. "Download commencing."
"Upload commencing," Chocolate Chip said.
J's client list began to download into the main computer, without any of J's crew picking up on it. But not only that, but a tracker is also being uploaded, along with the virus without being noticed.
Down below, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Lucas, Dawn, Rei, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, and Piplup hears a roar above them.
"What was that?" Sora asked. He got his answer when Salamence soars above them.
"A Salamence," Rei said.
"Hey, someone is riding on it!" Lucas said. They see Hunter J sitting on Salamence's back. She stood up and she saw the Eevee in question.
"Found you," Hunter J said.
"Who are you?" Sora asked. She didn't reply and she took out a Pokéball out and threw it.
"Ariados! Go!" Hunter J called out. Her Ariados emerged from inside. "String Shot!" Ariados quickly fired String Shot, entrapping them in the silk. Pikachu, Angel, Azurill, and Piplup were caught in the silk, but only Eevee was sparred.
"Eevee!" Eevee exclaimed.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Kairi exclaimed.
"Vee!" Angel said.
"Who do you think you are?!" Riku exclaimed.
"Now, I've got you," Hunter J said, aiming her device at Eevee.
"Use Dig!" Riku ordered. Eevee digs underground and she misses. She growled.
"You gotta come up sometime," Hunter said. And he does when he came out and fired a Shadow Ball, but Salamence uses its tail to block the Shadow Ball away. Hunter J quickly fired her device at Eevee, turning him into a gold statue, much to everyone's horror, especially Riku's.
"EEVEE!" Riku screamed, horrified.
Over to Loki, he laughed manically, having to see it happen.
"Oh, me without my phone! I would have gotten a million hits with this!" Loki said.
"Target is required," Hunter J said through a comm. A vehicle came and picked up Eevee and placed him inside it. Riku's anger was starting to build up.
"Gimme back my Eevee, you witch!" Riku roared, trying to break free. Hunter J just ignored him and rode on Salamence, flying away. "Get back here!"
"Riku, calm down!" Sora said.
"Calm down?! How can I calm down?! She stole my Eevee right in front of me!" Riku said.
Unknown to anyone, the Valhalla Valkyrie, Flaming Fenrir, and Yggdrasil Keyblades go flying and cuts the silk. Before they could see them, the Keyblades disappeared.
"What was that?" Lucas asked.
"I don't know, but I'm glad I'm glad I'm out of there," Rei said. Just then, a siren is heard and they saw Officer Jenny and an Arcanine running to the path.
"Are you all arlight? I heard there was a commotion," Officer Jenny said.
"Officer Jenny, we're glad you're here. Some woman came and stole his Eevee right from him," Naminé said.
"What? A woman?" Officer Jenny asked.
"Yeah. She rode on a Salamence, and she had some kind of thing on her arm," Lucas said.
"That could only be her," Officer Jenny said.
"Who?" Kairi asked.
"She's a Pokémon Hunter who goes by the name of J," Officer Jenny said, holding up a wanted poser of her.
"Pokmon Hunter?" Lucas asked,
"What's a Pokémon Hunter?" Dawn asked.
"One of the worse kind of people anyone will ever meet. They catch Pokémon and then sells them for money. Pokémon Hunters are hired to catch a Pokémon, or when there's a Pokémon that has exceptional value, they'll steal it anyway. And she has her own special method of stealing Pokémon as well," Officer Jenny said. Everyone was disgusted by her methods.
"How horrible!" Kairi gasped.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Talk about ruthless," Rei said.
"She can't do that and get away with this," Sora said.
"No, she can't. Stealing Pokémon from one Trainer is the same as stealing them from all Trainers," Rei said. Riku's anger began to build up as the darkness inside of him began to build up.
"Pokémon Hunter J. You took my partner from me. That is unforgivable. I swear to everything good and sacred in this world, she will pay for this. I'll get Eevee back from her and make her regret ever crossing me!" Riku vowed in his thoughts.
Over to Count Ernesh, he sensed Riku's rage building up and he grinned evilly.
Over to J's ship, Rocky has the complete list of J's clients has made it to Rocky's main computer, and the upload of the virus and the tracker.
"Upload compete and download complete," Rocky said.
"Great. Now, to send it to every police station to the entire Sinnoh region," Chocolate Chip said.
Meanwhile, an eccentric young man is at a computer. He has wild, red, frizzy hair, and wearing a white lab coat. This is Chocolate Chip as his code name suggests. He pushes the button, activating the tracking beckon.
"Ah, yes. Yes, yes, yes. Let the darkness inside you go. Let the darkness nurture your rage, and let it erupt into unbridled hatred," Count Ernesh said.
Back with Officer Jenny, she picked up her Rotom Phone when it started to ring.
"Yes, chief?" Officer Jenny asked as she answered the phone. She listened in. "What? Are you sure?" She listened in some more and she nodded. "Yes, sir. I'm on it." Officer Jenny hangs up. "It appears we have a fix on Hunter J's ship and vehicle."
"Good, we can get her, and make her pay," Riku darkly said. Rei looked at Riku with a concerned look.
"Riku," Rei said.
"What's up with Riku? I've never seen him like this before," Dawn said.
"Riku is angry over Eevee being taken from him. I can't say I blame him. I'd feel the same way if she took Pikachu from me," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Well, the count's plan is going without a hitch, so I better make like a banana and split," Loki said as he disappeared.
The transmission is being displayed on the monitor of the motor cycle as they follow it. Riku was determined to get Eevee back from J, no matter the cost. The ship became visible as it hovers.
"Is that it?" Rei asked.
"It has to be it! That's J's ship!" Officer Jenny said.
Up aboard, the crew were at a dissaway.
"What's going on?" Hunter J asked.
"Sir! I don't know how, but a virus has been uploaded into our systems shortly after you left! It it's doing a number on our systems!" One of J's crew members reported.
"Are the engines affected?" J asked.
"No, sir! The engines are still operational," the crewman said.
"Isolate the virus and delete it! I don't want any troubles," Hunter J ordered.
"Sir!" The crew said, scrambling to get the virus dealt with. One of them tried to accessing the computer, seeing if anything is still working, but access was being denied for them. And...
You didn't say the magic word!
Just then, a chibi man appeared on the screen, waving his finger in a naughty-naughty motion.
"Ah-ah-ah! You didn't say the magic word! Ah-ah-ah!" The chibi repeated.
"PLEASE! DAMMIT! I HATE THIS HACKER CRAP!" The crewman exclaimed.
Outside, they come close to the ship.
"Now, we got J's ship right where we want it," Officer Jenny said.
"And we should bust in and get Eevee out of there!" Riku said.
"Just bust in? Riku, we need a plan," Naminé said.
"I have a plan. We get on and deal with anything that gets in our way," Riku said.
"Naminé is right, Riku. We need a plan before we do anything reckless," Rei said.
"And by the time we come up with one, the ship will be off and running again! I wanna get to Eevee before they get away!" Riku said.
"I want to get Eevee back just as bad as you do, but you need to follow my lead in this," Rei said.
"I just-" Riku was cut off.
"I have spoken! Know your place!" Rei said, putting her foot down. Riku growled as he clutched his fist. Before Rei could get a plan in motion, Riku started to rush off toward the ship. "Riku!"
"Stop!" Officer Jenny called out.
"Riku, are you crazy?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Pika!" Pikachu said. Sora groaned.
"Man, Riku, don't do this to me," Sora said.
"Sora, go with him and stop him before he does something reckless," Rei said.
"Right," Sora said. He and Pikachu go after Riku. Rei definitely felt the darkness grow inside of him and she became fearful of what would happen.
"Sora, don't let me down," Rei said. Riku ran up on the surface of the aircraft, looking for a way on with Sora following him.
"Riku!" Sora called out. He turned to Sora.
"Why are you here?!" Riku asked.
"Going with you, Riku. The master sent me to make sure you don't do anything crazy," Sora said.
"Fine. Just stay out of my way," Riku said.
"Don't take it out on me, Riku! I actually wanna help you!" Sora argued.
"You can help me by staying out of my way and keeping your mouth shut!" Riku shouted. He summoned his two Keyblades and used them to slash his way open. They made their way in as the alarms started to go off.
"Great, they know we're here," Sora said.
Over to Hunter J, she spotted the two boys.
"Them again," Hunter J said.
"We'll deal with those intruders," one of the crewmen said.
"No, I"ll deal with them," Hunter J said as she took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Drapion! Go!" Her Pokéball opened and lets out a large, purple, scorpion-like Pokémon. Its eyes are a pointed shape, with blue-colored upper portions. It has two small, pointed protrusions between its eyes, and one on the back of its head. It also has protrusions on its jaws, two on the upper and three on the lower, with large, fang-like, white-colored features extending from its mouth. Its body is composed of many violet-to-lavender body segments which end with a tail with two stingers. It has four segmented legs with pointed toes. Its most distinguishing feature is its huge claws. "We have some pests to crush."
"Drapion," Drapion said.
In the halls, Riku has his two Keyblades out as the walls were attempting to trap them, but Riku used his powers over the darkness to cut his way through the walls. Sora was starting to get even more worried. Some of J's crew tried to stop them by sending out some Golbat, but Riku casts a dark thunder spell before Sora could call an attack from Pikachu. Riku then dismissed his Oblivion and held his Braveheart tightly as J and her Drapion confronted them.
"J!" Sora said.
"Well, well. I'm impressed you managed to find me and my flying fortress. I'm more curious if how much that Pikachu is worth," Hunter J said.
"You're not taking anything else, J!" Riku darkly said.
"Is that so? How do you plan to stop me? Drapion! Grab him!" Hunter J ordered. Drapion moved in to grab him, but Riku gave the large scorpion-like Pokémon a blast of his darkness, sending Drapion flying. One of J's henchmen arrived to the scene. Riku's body is surrounded by darkness and he aims his Braveheart at J. He fired an energy of darkness from the Braveheart and it hit J. Riku charged right at the Pokémon Hunter, preparing to strike her down, much to Sora's horror. Sora sensed the darkness in him was growing stronger and stronger. His Braveheart was covered in darkness as well.
"Riku! No!" Sora exclaimed. Riku slashed off J's arm, making her scream in pain. Her arm then vanished into the darkness.
"Sir!" J's henchman exclaimed, catching her. She placed her remaining hand over where her arm used to be. Darkness seeps from her wound and her severed arm.
"Riku, what did you do?!" Sora exclaimed while horrified.
"What needed to be done," Riku said. Hunter J and her henchman lassoed by a rope, held by Rocky Beams who tore off his disguise.
"Rocky!" Sora said.
"Hey Sora. It's been a while," Rocky said, taking out his Pokéball and opened it to let out a Gardevoir. "Okay, Gardevoir. Teleport them out." Gardevoir uses Teleport on J and her henchman. The're both outside, still tied as Kairi, Naminé, Lucas, Dawn, Rei, Angel, Azurill, and Officer Jenny got to her. Kairi, Naminé, Lucas, Dawn, and Rei were shocked to see her arm was cut off. Officer Jenny grabbed the rope.
"Pokémon Hunter J, you are under arrest for Pokémon theft!" Officer Jenny said.
Rocky leads Sora, Riku, and Pikachu to an area where J has placed the stolen Pokémon. They were placed like they were tropies. The stolen Pokémon happens to be a Ninetales, a Swampert, a Teddiursa, a Relicanth, a Kirlia, a Gardevoir, and an Absol along with Eevee. Riku saw his partner in case in stone.
"Eevee," Riku said, running up to his partner. "I'm so glad you're safe."
"Turn down the dial on it," Rocky instructed. Riku does exactly that as Eevee is back to normal.
"Eevee!" Eevee exclaimed, hapy to see Riku.
"I'm here for you, buddy," Riku said, removing the glass part.
"We gotta get them all out of here," Sora said.
"I don't think so!" A voice said. It was another one of J's henchmen, but he is fat. "No one is going anywhere with those Pokémon!" He took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Golbat! Go!" His Pokéball opened and his Golbat came out to battle. "Use Supersonic!"
"Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt, shocking Golbat. Rocky quickly turn down the dials and the Pokémon were now free. Rocky's Gardevoir appeared. The henchmen charged to tackle them, but Rocky's Gardevoir was too quick and they teleported out. Once outside, Officer Jenny lassoed them as well.
"All you men are under arrest!" Officer Jenny said.
Back on the ship, the virus had been isolated and deleted.
"Virus deleted. What now, Commander J?" J's henchman asked. He didn't hear back from her. "Commander J?" He saw J and a handful of henchmen were being arrested.
"We gotta get her!" Another henchman said.
"No time! We gotta retreat!" The first henchman said as the ship makes its escape.
Over to Count Ernesh's mansion, Loki had returned to make his report.
"Master Ernesh, it all went according to plan. The darkness started to grow and he got all vengeful just like you said he would," Loki reported.
"Excellent. Riku's Eevee is only the first step. The next step must be done delicately," Count Ernesh said.
"You're talking about that girlfriend of his, right?" Loki asked.
"Of course," Count Ernesh said, evilly grinning once again.
That night, Sora and Riku are alone, talking about what happened on J's ship.
"I don't believe you, Riku!" Sora angrily exclaimed.
"What?" Riku asked.
"Don't you 'what' me! You know damn well what I'm talking about! I was there just as much as you were! You used the darkness on Pokémon Hunter J! The same darkness that destroyed her arm! What in the hell were you even thinking?" Sora asked.
"Hey, look, for starters, you were the one who tagged along with me! And second, I don't need a lecture from you!" Riku argued.
"Like hell, you don't! And for the record, I only went after you in the first place was just to keep you from doing something stupid! I wanted to help you get Eevee back just as badly as you did, but your vendetta on J and her goon squad could have done more damage than Organization XIII would have ever done! You're lucky that you didn't turn into a Heartless when that darkness of yours kicked in!" Sora argued.
"I used it to send a message to those people. She took my friend and partner from me, and I had to make her pay for what she did to me and other Trainers she has stolen from for all these years! I would have used the darkness to destroy J once and for all. Justice would have been served at last!" Riku argued.
"Are you even hearing what you're saying? That stunt you pulled on J wasn't justice, it was revenge! Plain and simple! And that's why your darkness kicked in the way it did, Riku!" Sora argued.
"You can call it whatever you want, Sora, but you do the exact same thing if you were in my shoes!" Riku argued.
"Maybe you're right, I would have done that, too, but you would be chewing me out just as much as I'm chewing you out right now!" Sora argued.
"I would understand, Sora! I'd help you get Pikachu back at any cost! If she messes with me, then she deserves to have her arm blown off!" Riku darkly said. Sora gasped when he openly said.
"Listen to you! The Riku I know would never say or think those things! You're way better than that! And furthermore, I-" Sora was cut off by Rei.
"That's enough, Sora. I'll take it from here," Rei said, approaching her apprentices. Sora knew better than to argue with her and nodded. "Sora, I want to have a talk with Riku alone. You rejoin the others."
"Yes, Master," Sora said, taking his leave. He took one last look at Riku. The look in Sora's eyes told Riku that they weren't finished talking about his actions. Rei looked at Riku with a stern expression.
"Riku, I must say, I am very appalled and disappointed in you and your actions today," Rei sternly said. Riku didn't say much and looked away. "Look at me when I am talking to you." Riku set his eyes back at Rei. "You disobeyed my order, and you went after that Pokémon Hunter after I told you not to. You raised your Keyblade in an act of revenge, you tapped into the powers of darkness and used it to mutilate her! In doing so, you endangered Sora's life as well as your own, and the Pokémon she had stolen, including Eevee! All of that is unacceptable! I am happy that you have your Eevee back, but it doesn't excuse you for what you have done! Do you understand the seriousness of your actions?"
"She took my Eevee from me, so I couldn't just do nothing about it. I couldn't let her get away with it. Sora would have done the same thing if it was Pikachu taken from him," Riku said.
"Maybe, but I would be having a talk with him just like the one I'm having with you just now. Both you and Sora are better than this. Your actions today would have gotten the both of you killed, and I would never forgive myself, and I wouldn't be able to face your mother if you had. I don't want that to happen to me again," Rei said with her voice breaking. "I don't want to lose any of you like I lost Kaito." Riku was absorbing everything his master said and he knew she was right. He was better than that. And he knew he went about it the wrong way. He even reflected on the dark things he said to Sora. He then started to regret his actions.
"You're right, Master. I shouldn't have done that. I won't disobey you again," Riku said.
"I hope not, Riku. I do not want to have this talk again. I could permanently strip you of your Keyblades, but instead, I will put you on probation. Until you have full control of your darkness and your emotions, you are forbidden to fight with your Keyblades," Rei said.
"I accept the punishment, Master," Riku said.
"You will hand them over to me just to make sure," Rei requested. Riku summoned his Braveheart and Oblivion and handed them to his master. She then dismissed them. "Better to be safe than sorry." Riku nodded, confirming he understood. "That will be all." Riku took his leave of his master as Rei sighed to herself. "I didn't want to do that to Riku, but it was for his own good. That anger and that hate came out of him under my watch. Am I failing as a master? Is Riku slipping from us? I hope not. I won't let that happen."
Over to Sora, Kairi, Naminé, Lucas, Dawn, and the Pokémon, they spoke with Rocky about his involvement.
"So, what were you doing on J's ship, Rocky?" Sora asked.
"Well, if you must know, I infiltrated Pokémon Hunter J's ship weeks ago as I was hired by Sinnoh's Prime Minister as a way to bring Pokémon Hunter J to justice since she managed to escape from the law for so long, so it gave me a chance to learn how she does it, as it turns out that she constantly kept her ship cloaked as a way to keep the authorities from tracking her down, so I asked a friend of mine to help with my mission, and that's when your friend's Eevee came in. She was hired by a count who isn't from the Sinnoh region, but I can only assume that she ships her cargo to other places in the world, so I downloaded a comeplete list of her clients, seeing to it that all of the Pokémon she has stolen from her victims were returned and her clients are facing prison for embedding a Pokémon Hunter, so police stations all over the Sinnoh region should have retrieved the list by now and even as we speak, a series of raids are probably already in progress. In order to keep the crew from finding out about the download, my friend has uploaded a computer virus on their computer systems as a distraction, so I knew it was my moment to strike and bring Hunter J down once and for all, but I wasn't expecting to see you again, and I was able to witness your silver-haired friend use a Keyblade covered in the powers of darkness and slash off her aiming arm, disabling her, but only after he used that same darkness on Drapion from what I could have figured," Rocky managed to say without losing a breath.
"You know about the Keyblade?" Sora asked.
"Yes. In fact, I knew you were a Keyblade wielder from the moment we met, but I had wondered why you hadn't used it when I met you, but it didn't seem to matter since there weren't any monsters around to begin with," Rocky said.
"Does that mean you know about us?" Kairi asked.
"That's right," Rocky said.
Meanwhile, all over the Sinnoh region, police raids take place as a series of arrests are being made and the stolen Pokémon were all being returned to their rightful Trainers.
The threat of Hunter J had been dealt with, but Count Ernesh's evil plan had succeeded as Riku has used his darkness on Hunter J as revenge, but now Riku feels bad for what he did, because he became he person that he didn't recognize nor liked. But will it happen again? Will Riku's darkness try to take him over again? Time may know the answers to those questions.
