Sonic raced through Stardust Speedway. He soon got stopped by a robotic copy of him.
"We meet again Sonic. Did you enjoy having your girlfriend kidnapped?"
Sonic facepalms.
"What? Cat got your tongue?"
Sonic rolled his eyes.
Robotnik appeared in his Egg Mobile and started using a laser as a wall. He headed straight for the pair. Sonic & Metal speed off. They were neck and neck.
"Getting tired, Faker?!"
Sonic pushed himself and ran faster than he ever had. He speeds through the door, right as it closed. Metal slams face first into it, followed by getting damaged by Robotnik's laser.
Metal powers on. He looks up to see Robotnik, and he looks mad.
"HOW DID YOU FAIL SO HORRIBLY?! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DEFEAT HIM!
"F-f-father, I-"
"NO EXCUSES!"
Robotnik slaps Metal. It didn't hurt, but it felt like it did.
"Pl-pl-please gi-ive me-e a secoun-d ch-ance."
"Ugh, I can barely understand what you're saying, you stupid, useless, failure."
"Pl-please. I be-beg of you-ou."
"Tell you what, I'll fix your voice box, if you successfully defeat Sonic. I know how much you love to talk."
Metal nods.
"Very well, after I try out Mecha Sonic, you can have your second chance."
