"Today?" Kara raised an eyebrow shocked by the fact he wanted her to start early.
"Yes," Oliver nodded grabbing a pen and a sticky note, "I'm gonna be in meetings all day and my ex wife has the kids," he started writing, "She has court around 1 o'clock, I need you to pick up the kids," he tore the sticky note off the stack and help it up to Kara. "These are our addresses."
Kara nodded, taking the sticky note.
Kara was in her apartment, Mikes things in boxes, after the proposal they went their separate ways and while Kara was at the bar he must have went back to their apartment and packed clothes because that's all they was gone when she got back. So she decided to bag everyone else that he left.
"Coming!" She shouted running to the door almost tripping over a box, she cursed under her breath opening the door, revealing a tall dark skin man. "Uh...hi?"
"Ms. Danvers?" He said his voice a bit rough.
"Uh yes?"
"I'm your driver," he told her. "John Diggle, Mr. Queen requested I drive you to pick up the children."
"Right..." Kara nodded. "Uhm...ok..." she said a bit awkwardly. "We have to go now?"
"Yes," John nodded. "Mr. Queen received a call from his ex wife saying she had to be in court early and he needed to get the kids."
"Ok," Kara nodded, "Let me just," she walked away from the door grabbing her shoes and slipping them on then grabbing her coat and purse. "Alright I'm ready."
Kara sat in the back of the car while John sat in the front driving. "So what do I call you? Mr. Diggle or what?" Kara asked breaking the silence.
"I prefer Dig or Diggle," he answered, "But you can also call me John," he added and Kara nodded.
"You can call me, Kara, instead of Ms. Danvers," she told him and he nodded.
The car pulled up to a large white house, the door was painted red and its lawn freshly cut, Kara reached for the door handle but Diggle had already opened it for her.
She gave him a small smile while stepping out, she walked up to the door while Diggle stayed by the car.
Kara knocked on the red door and it swung open, "Finally —!" A woman with brown hair opened the door, her hazel green eyes staring into Kara blue eyes. "Who are you?" She asked.
"Kara!" Lily came running towards the blonde, a big smile on her face.
"Hey Lily," Kara smiled down at the young girl, a boy came running up behind Lily, he had brown hair. "Hi Theo," she smiled at her.
Lily seemed to know that Kara was gonna get the job before the interview so she took it upon herself to introduce all her siblings to Kara, Theo seemed to be the shy one.
"Hi Ms. Danvers," Theo said in a small voice.
"Mommy this is Kara Danvers our new nanny!" Lily turned to the older woman, "Kara this is Laurel Lance my mommy!"
"It's nice to meet you Ms. Lance," Kara smiled at the woman.
Laurel eyed Kara up and down, she was a bit younger than the old nanny, she also looked to be a year or two younger than herself and Oliver, and that for some reason worried Laurel.
"What happed to Nanny Miller?" Laurel asked her youngest children.
"She quit," came her oldest son voice, Nico, his curly blonde hair. Lily seemed to remind Kara that he was the ruble. "After I played the greatest prank on her," he laughed.
"Of course," Laurel rolled her eyes. "Ivy! Let's go your new nanny is here!" She shouted for the oldest daughter, she turned back to her other three kids. "Go wait in the car while I have a word with your new nanny."
"But you said you have to be I court in less than two minutes," Theo said.
"Go!" Laurel snapped making the two young ones flinched leaving out the two. "Nico go help your sister with bags," Laurel told the boy who nodded with an eye roll going back into the house.
"So you're the new nanny?" Laurel turned back to Kara.
"Uhm...yeah," Kara nodded shifting from feet to feet.
"Why would my ex husband hire you?"
"Uhm that's a question for him not me," Kara told her.
Laurel only hummed as Ivy and Nico came both carrying two bags each.
"Hello Ms. Danvers," Ivy smiled at Kara.
"Hello Ivy," Kara smiled back, she stepped aside letting two out the house, she and Laurel watched as they got into the car after giving the bags to Diggle. "It was a pleasure meeting you Ms. Lance," Kara smiled at her, turning to walk away.
"Whatever you're doing it won't work," Laurel said.
"Excuse me?" Kara stopped.
"You trying to get into my husband's pants or get his money it won't work."
"I think you mean ex husband, and I'm not trying to get into anyone's pants," Kara told her. "If you have a problem with me take that up with Mr. Queen," with that Kara walked back towards the car.
