A/N: So there's gonna be a little time skip.

Warning Chapter includes: sexual assault and abuse

"Hello Ivy," Kara smiled back, she stepped aside letting two out the house, she and Laurel watched as they got into the car after giving the bags to Diggle. "It was a pleasure meeting you Ms. Lance," Kara smiled at her, turning to walk away.

"Whatever you're doing it won't work," Laurel said.

"Excuse me?" Kara stopped.

"You trying to get into my husband's pants or get his money it won't work."

"I think you mean ex husband, and I'm not trying to get into anyone's pants," Kara told her. "If you have a problem with me take that up with Mr. Queen," with that Kara walked back towards the car.

It's been nearly a week since Kara became the nanny kids, Theo has been slightly opened up to her, it's revealed that he's in therapy because of some bullying he's received from school plus the verbal abuse the second former nanny had conflicted upon him.

Lily has been cheerful than ever, always chatting Kara's ear off about daily facts or things that happened at school.

Nico sticks to pranks mostly aiming them at Kara thinking that they'd be powerful enough to send Kara away but he was impressed when the two had secretly started a prank war between one another without Oliver finding out. But when they're not pranking each other, Kara is helping him with his homework and his grades are improving.

And Ivy had grown to Kara, not as much as Lily has but close enough, she sees Kara as a friend than a nanny, they talk and Kara gives her advice. Ivy seems to like Kara better than Laurel.

Since meeting the first time Kara hadn't seen Laurel anymore, Oliver had only been home two days out of that week, if he was home he'd spend time in his home office or spend time with the kids and Kara.

Laurel had of course made her dislikes about Kara known to Oliver which broke out into a big argument luckily it was when the kids were in school, Oliver had put his foot down wanting to keep Kara around which made Laurel even more mad so the only time they speak is to talk about the kids which was how it was before.

Kara now sat in the kitchen with Theo and Lily helping them with a school project while the maid, Raisa, washing dishes.

"Kara when are you gonna move in?" Lily asked as she colored in a spot on her project.

"What?" Kara chuckled giving Theo a blue marker.

"Every nanny moves into our house," Lily told Kara. "And any nanny that mommy hires moves into her house."

"Oh..." Kara looked up at the girl. "I was not informed of that."

"One would think Mr. Queen would have told you," Raisa's Russian accent came.

Kara hummed, she looked down at her watch. "It's almost time for your sister's ballet performance, you both go get ready," Kara told them.

Theo and Lily got out their chairs and ran out the kitchen, Kara stayed at the kitchen table.

"Shouldn't you be getting dressed as well?" Raisa asked Kara walking over to the table.

"No," Kara shook her head softly. "Laurel will be there and I don't wanna start any arguments between her and Mr. Queen."

Raisa nodded. "I'm sure Ivy would love to have you there."

Kara nodded, her phone beeped and it was the ring camera showing her ex banging on her apartment door. "And I would love to be there but Laurel doesn't like me and I don't want there to be any drama between anyone," she stood up from her chair.

"At least thing about it."

Kara nodded walking out of the kitchen rushing towards the door. "Are you going somewhere Kara?" Ivy's voice came from the top the stairs.

"I uh...I have to go home."

"You're not coming to my performance?" Ivy asked walking down the stairs with a frown on her face.

Kara looked down at her phone the ring camera showing Mike still had his key and walking into her apartment, she looked back up at Ivy, her face softened at the frown apoun the girls face.

"I'll try to make it," Kara promised.

"Ok..." Ivy nodded.

Kara gave the girl a small hug before grabbing her coat and walking out the door bumping into Oliver with Diggle behind him.

She almost tripped backwards but Oliver grabbed her by the waist, they stared into each other eyes before she pulled away. "Are you going somewhere?" Oliver asked.

"I...I have to get home."

"Let Diggle drive you," Oliver offered as he stepped into his home taking off his coat.

"No thank you," Kara shook her head, she didn't want any of them getting involved in this. "I'll just take a —"

"I'll drive," Diggle cut her off.

Kara looked between both men who had stern expressions on their faces before she sighed giving in.

Kara rushed up to her apartment, she had managed to get Diggle to stay in the car, she opened her door to see the boxes that were packed now unpacked and her ex, Mike, sitting in the couch watching some TV while drinking some beer.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Kara asked closing her door with a slam.

"You're late," Mike said not looking away from the TV, his voice was firm. "Now I wanna know why if you've never had a job."

"You don't live here no more," Kara said firmly standing near the couch but kept a safe distance away.

Mike squeezed the bottle in his hand making it brake making Kara jump. "Kara, you know I have a strong sense of smell," he stood off the couch walking over to her. "Now, tell me who you were with."

Kara flinched backing away, "You and I are over Mike! I'm done with you!" She fumbled trying to get her phone out her pocket, she heard it start to ring.

"That's not what I asked!" Mike shouted grabbing her phone out of her hand. "Is this the guy John Diggle!?" He shouted throwing her phone.

Kara cried out for the phone thinking it was broke. "No! I wasn't with any —" Mike's hang going against her face made a gasp leave her mouth.

"Don't like you fucking whore!" Mike yelled grabbing her by the throat. "You've been sleeping with other men! That's why you call it off!"

"No!" Kara cried trying to get away as she had trouble breathing, she managed to scratch him and Mike dropped her.

Mike recovered quickly tripping Kara, he climbed on her unzipping her pants before taking off his belt. "I saved you! You dirty whore!" Mike shouted slapping her then used his hand to hold both of her arms above her hand. "I'm gonna show you who you belong to!" Mike undid his pants.

"No!" Kara cried struggling against his grasp.

"Shut up!" Mike growled pulling down her panties and his boxers as his lips captured hers forcefully to stop her screaming and crying.

Diggle ran up the stairs rushing to get to Kara's apartment. When Mike threw her phone they believed it broke which it did but it had clicked the answer button when Diggle had called her.

Hearing her cry the first time he rushed in the building but the elevator was shut down and now he was rushing towards the fourth floor of the building.

He eventually reached her door no need to catch his breath he kicked her door open, he saw Mike forcing his mouths on Kara's while forcing himself into her.

Diggle pulled out his gun and shot Mike in both shoulders, Mike dropped next to Kara who let out a gasp then scream when she saw the blood.

"Kara," Diggle made his way over to her helping her up. "Are you okay?"

"K...Kara..." Mike groaned out.

"Is..." Kara struggled as the tears continued to pour down her face. "Is he gonna die?" Her voice was raspy for many reasons.

"No," Diggle shook his head, "I called for an ambulance and the police on the way up."

"No," Kara instantly shook her head. "I'm not going to an hospital."

"Kara," Diggle said softly taking her hands waiting for her to snatch away after seeing her flinch. "He beat you and raped you."

"John," Kara said his name in a pleading manor. "I promised Ivy I'd try and be there for performance," she said.

Diggle stared at him, he gave her a look seeing the pleading look, he sighed. "Go wait in the car," he stepped away.

Kara nodded shakily walking out her apartment, Diggle turned to Mike who was steel bleeding from the shoulders, Diggle had managed to shoot him so he won't die. "You'll live," he crunched down to Mike's level. "And you won't come near her ever again."

"Screw you," Mike groaned as he sat up.

"Yeah," Diggle scoffed coldly standing up walking towards the back of the apartment, he opening Kara's closet, grabbing a bag and stuffing some clothes, under clothes, and makeup inside before going back to the living room.

Kara sat in the back of the car shaking slightly all she could feel was his hands on her body, a feeling she thought she had broken from after calling things off.

The door opened, she looked up and saw it was Diggle, "I packed you some clothes and makeup," he told her. "If you wanna show up for Ivy, you aren't gonna show up bruised are you?"

"N...no," Kara shook her head shaking.

"But before you do that..." he pulled a box out. "Take pictures and scrap under your nails."

Kara stared at him. "I'm sorry if I'm making you uncomfortable but something...someday this evidence will be needed and..."

"You wanna make sure he gets put away?" Kara finished. "I appreciate that but his family is loaded he's gonna get out either way."

John nodded. "Just do it just so I can have some peace of mind."

Kara nodded with a sigh.

After taking pictures of her face and scraping under her nails she put everything in a box, then she changed into a decent outfit Diggle had got for her, he stood outside the car back facing the window while she changed and covered the bruises.

The car was now pulling up to the building where the performance held, Kara reached for her phone, then remembered that it was broken. "We'll get you a new one," Diggle said appearing next to her.

Kara couldn't object, it took a lot for her to actually take those photos, she did wanna see Mike behind bars but she he'd be bailed out in no time, plus trying to fight off Mike took most of her energy.

Kara simply nodded going into the building, a sight limp in her steps, although there were no bruises on her legs Mike's weight did hurt her legs plus when he forced himself in her did some damage.

"We should have —" Diggle started.

"Please...don't say it," Kara cut him off. She wasn't in denial about what just happened she just simply didn't want to talk about it.

"Remind me to get you some tea later on," Diggle said following her in the building, noticing that her voice was still a bit raspy.

"Is she here yet?" Theo asked looking around for Kara, they were in the middle of the ballet performance.

"I'm sure she'll be here buddy," Oliver said.

"Or maybe shes busy with something else," Laurel said.

"What is wrong with you?" Oliver asked his ex wife.

"There she is," Nico pointed at the doors opening, he was trying to act nonchalantly about it but was happy about Kara showing up.

"Is she limping?" Theo looked up at Oliver. Kara walked up to them Diggle following close behind her.

"Kara you made it!" Lily smiled. Kara gave a smile when a nod taking a seat beside Lily while Diggle sat next to her.

The rest of the play went on smoothly, Laurels phone rang and she excused herself saying it was work, that was over twenty minutes ago.

The ballet teacher slowly walked up to the seats they were sitting in. "Is one of you Ms. Kara Danvers?"

"I am," Kara said clearing her throat once the rasp returned.

"Ivy is asking for you."

Kara nodded standing, she stepped over Diggles legs following the teacher behind the stage.

Kara saw Ivy standing there with a nervous look on her face. "Kara!" Ivy ran towards her.

"Hey," Kara tried not to wince when Ivy hugged her. "What's wrong?" Kara asked once they pulled out the hug.

"I have to go on next by myself," Ivy said.

"Sweetheart what's the problem?" Kara asked. "You've practice for this in front of us plenty of times you're gonna do perfect!"

"I can't there's too many people."

"Ivy," Kara smiled moving her arm to run a hand over her face. "When I had to perform my foster dad told me to imagine everyone in their under clothes I wouldn't recommend it, it'll make you laugh," both girls laughed. "But just go out there and focus on your family and friends."

Ivy nodded pulling away from Kara, "Okay," she turned to her ballet teacher. "I'm ready."

The teacher nodded, walking out onto the stage. "Now our main swan during her solo, Ivy Queen," the teacher smiled everyone clapped Laurel had returned to her seat as Ivy walked onto the stage.

She froze, her eyes landing on the crowd, she tried to find her family but she couldn't see them, next thing she knew Kara was by her side in ballet clothes.

Kara grabbed Ivy's hand, she gave the girl an assuring smile as they started to dance together.

In the seats Laurels smile froze on her face. "Why is she up there?" Laurels head snapped towards Oliver.

"I don't know," Oliver shrugged his eyes trained on Kara and he saw right through that makeup covering her neck, he saw through the pained limp she danced on for his daughter and how she was trying to mask the pain with that bright smile she has on all the time, his eyes shifted from Kara to Diggle who also had his eyes trained on Kara.

"Excuse me," Oliver stood up straighten out his suit jacket, he slid past the children, "Come with me," he ordered Diggle.

Diggle nodded standing and following Oliver out of the room. "What happened?" Oliver asked immediately once they were away from the room where the performance was happening.

Diggle hesitated for a moment although Kara never asked him to not tell anyone he didn't want to betray her trust nonetheless.

"John, her makeup might blind people but I've seen through every makeup cover up," Oliver said. "What happened?"

"Look man," Diggle sighed. "I...you gotta ask her," he eyed his friend/boss, Diggle saw how tense Oliver was, he could sense the protective aurora around him, a thing that Oliver never got around any other nanny's. "You slept with her didn't you?"

"What?" Oliver was taken back by the question.

"I've never seen you this tense or protective about anyone other than your family and friends," Diggle said. "You're sleeping with her."

"No," Oliver shook his head. "I'm not sleeping with her," he said firmly. "I slept with her but I'm not sleeping with her."

"And when did you sleep with her?"

"Before she was the nanny to my kids," Oliver told him, he saw Diggle eye him. "I have no feelings for Kara whatsoever

Diggle nodded. "Like I said ask Kara what happened," he opened the building door for Oliver who walked in.

2539 words. This is probably the longest chapter in this book. Anyways I apologize for anyone who likes Mon-El.

I do know that Mike/Mon-El wouldn't actually hurt Kara physically anyways, so this is my apology for this chapter and any chapters in advance.

Now I'm not one for slow burns but Kara will have to heal from the trauma Mike has inflicted on her, what happened at the Bar was just something for her to get her mind off of him.

Hope you enjoy!
