Christmas happened, and it was a good day for everyone. After Christmas, those who didn't live at the compound went to head back home.
Thor looked at Loki, "I'm heading back to Asgard for a few days. There was a big storm and a lot of our people are snowed in. Would you like to come back and help them with me?"
"Sure," Loki said.
"Oh, can I come too?" Skye asked. She hadn't been back to Asgard since the first time and she loved the place.
Thor looked at Steve seeing if he was okay with it.
"I'm okay with it if you are," Steve said.
"Fine with me," Thor said before he looked back at Skye, "go pack a bag.
"Okay," Skye said with a smile before she went off.
"We will be there for probably three, or four days," Thor told Steve.
"Okay," Steve said.
Skye came out about half an hour later.
"Be on your best behavior Skye," Steve said.
"Of course," Skye said.
"Look at me Skyler," Steve said.
Skye looked at him.
"If you give him any trouble you will be in trouble here as well, am I clear?" Steve asked.
"Yes, Sir," Skye said.
"Go. Have fun," Steve said kissing her head.
Thor transported them to Asgard.
When they got there they started the walk through the town, and it was pretty quiet.
"We are going to the house to drop off your stuff Skye and then we are going to head to help right away," Thor said.
"I can go start helping right away," Loki said.
"Okay, go find Valkyrie," Thor said.
Loki went off and Thor walked Skye to his place.
Thor smiled, as they got to the house. "You are in the same room as before," Thor told her. Loki had the room next to it.
Skye went and put her stuff down on the bed before she went back out to Thor.
"Let's go," Thor said.
They left and went and found Valkyrie.
"Thank you both for coming," she said with a smile
"So where do you want us starting?" Thor asked.
Valkyrie told them both where to start and they both went and were handed shovels and got to work shoveling people out.
When they got to a specific house Thor looked at Skye and Loki, "You two go on to the next one."
"Why?" Loki asked.
"Because I told you too," Thor said.
"Oh. Okay," Skye said she didn't know why but she did as she was told.
Loki sighed but went with Skye.
"Do you know whose house that is?" Skye asked Loki when they were away from Thor.
"Yeah, someone I've been told to stay away from," Loki said.
"Oh. Have you listened?" Skye asked with a smirk.
"No," Loki said with a chuckle.
Skye chuckled and the two started on the next house.
"Whose house is it?" Skye asked.
"I don't know the father's name but the son is Orri," Loki said.
Skye sighed, "Well that explains why he didn't want me anywhere near that house."
"What?" Loki asked
"I came here before, it was when people were first figuring out that Captain America had a kid with abilities and I was here being kept hidden. Everyone here knew I was here but that they needed to keep it quiet. So I was in town one day on my own and I saw some paparazzi taking my photos. Orri. Who I had met a couple of days before came out of nowhere and got me out of there. Acting like a good guy. He hid with me in the back storage room of one of the places in town and I had lost my phone in the craziness so he called his dad who said he would go find Thor and let him know where I was. While I was waiting with him he tried to kiss me. More than once. And I didn't want to. I told him no but he made me feel very uncomfortable. Thor showed up just as he was about to force a kiss but neither Thor nor Orri's dad knew what was happening. Later it was discovered Orri got the paparazzi here to set it up so we could be alone and he could kiss me," Skye said.
"That's what Thor meant when he said he told you to tell him if anyone else tried to force something on you that you didn't want," Loki said.
"Yeah," Skye said. "There is a big difference from what you did to what Orri did. You didn't put me in a dangerous situation to try and force a kiss. You got caught up in a moment. And you apologized and meant it. Orri apologized but it was clearly a forced apology."
Loki shook his head, "why didn't Thor tell me that? I wouldn't be hanging out with someone who tried to force themselves on someone!"
"Probably was trying to respect that it was my story to tell," Skye said. "And Loki. You would have died for your brother. I'm not trying to piss you off here. But I have heard the recording at this point,"
Loki let out an annoyed almost growl.
"I know he was your brother. And I know you don't want to believe he did something like that. But he admitted to it," Skye said.
"It was not him. They used some computer program to make it sound like him," Loki said.
"Okay. Did you ever directly ask him? Did you ever get the chance?" Skye asked
"Yes. And he looked hurt and shocked," Loki said.
Skye nodded a little. "Could he have been shocked simply because you found out?"
"No. It was not that kind of shock. It was a genuine shock," Loki said.
"Okay," Skye said. "I guess there is no way to know for sure. And if I have been lied to and manipulated. I'm sorry."
"I know you were just going by what you have been told. I understand women always believe other women," Loki said. "And I'm sorry that I have spent time with someone who hurt you. Had I known. . ."
"It's okay," Skye said. "Thor really should have given you some kind of explanation as to why you shouldn't have been hanging out with him."
"I kind of started hanging out with him because Thor was pissing me off," Loki admitted.
Skye chuckled. "How many times have you hung out with him?"
"Several," Loki said. "He has been my pot connection."
"You still smoke pot?" Skye asked.
"Yeah. You don't?" Loki asked.
"Haven't since we got busted no," Skye said.
"Seriously? How have you not lost your mind?" Loki asked.
"I don't know. I've found other ways to deal with the shit," Skye said.
"Okay. I guess if you found some other way," Loki said with a shrug.
"I haven't had much of a choice. I don't go out of the compound without someone who would stop me much," Skye pointed out.
"Well I can always get you some," Loki said. "If you want."
"I would get caught at the compound," Skye said.
"Well, you can do some while you're here. I'll get Thor to let out go out and hang out with some other people. Orri not included. And you can. If you want," Loki said.
"I appreciate the offer. And I won't tell anyone but I'm good," Skye said.
"Okay, well if you change your mind, just let me know," Loki said.
Skye nodded.
They finished up the driveway as Thor came over from next door.
"You two ready to move on to the next house?" Thor asked.
"Yes," they both said.
They finished up with digging people out and when they were all done people were giving out hot drinks and baked goods.
Skye took a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie and started to talk to some people she remembered from before.
As they were talking she heard Loki tell someone to walk the fuck away from someone.
Skye turned and saw Orri coming towards her. "I don't want to talk to you Orri," Skye said loudly.
Thor's attention was grabbed at that point and he came over. "Where is your father?" Thor asked.
"He is still at the house," Orri said.
"You heard Skye and Loki. Walk away," Thor said.
"Come on that was years ago at this point," Orri said.
"I don't care how long it has been. She has made it clear she does not want to talk to you," Thor said.
Orri looked at Loki, "You didn't seem to care about the past before today." He said before he walked away.
"Loki, Skyle. Time to go," Thor said. A conversation clearly needed to be had with the two of them and as they had everyone watching them it wouldn't be here."
Loki and Skye went with Thor back to the house.
Once everyone was undressed from their winter gear Thor pointed to the couch in the living room.
Both teens went and sat.
Thor looked at Loki, "Have you disobeyed me and hung out with him?"
"Yes," Loki said looking down.
Thor looked at Skye, "did you know he was spending time with him?"
"Not until today," Skye said. "And to be fair you never told him why he shouldn't hang out with him."
"If your father tells you not to do something without reason do you ignore him?" Thor asked.
"I can't think of a single situation where he didn't give me a reason," Skye said.
Thor nodded.
"Maybe I should not have ignored you but I did not know the reason. Had I known I would not be spending time with him," Loki said.
"You told him?" Thor asked Skye.
"Yes. I asked him whose house it was and when he told me I commented on that being why you didn't want me anywhere near there," Skye said. "And like anybody else would he asked why."
"How many times have you hung out with him?" Thor asked Loki.
"I do not know an exact amount. Often," Loki said.
"Go. To your room," Thor told him.
Loki went.
Thor looked at Skye, "Are you okay?"
"Yes," Skye said. "Because Loki stepped in to protect me."
Thor nodded "Would you have told me they hung out?"
Skye debated for a moment about how to answer that.
"Do not lie to me little one," Thor said.
"No. I wouldn't have told you," Skye said.
"Thank you for being honest," Thor said. "Go to your room too."
Skye got up and went.
Thor sat down on the couch and put his head in his hands. No Loki shouldn't have disobeyed him. But maybe not giving him any clear reason as to why had not been fair. After sitting for half an hour thinking. He got up and went and knocked on Loki's bedroom door.
"Come in," Loki said.
Thor went in. "I should have given you some sort of reason. I did not want to tell Skye's story for her."
"I do understand that," Loki said. "I should not have done what you told me not to."
"Okay. Are you going to spend time with him again?" Thor asked.
"No," Loki said. "I promise you I am not."
"Okay. I will let it go. Because you protected her today. And I am proud of you for that," Thor said.
"Thank you," Loki said with a small smile.
Thor squeezed his little brother's shoulder and Loki hugged him. Thor was surprised but returned the hug.
When the hug was broken Thor went and knocked on Skye's bedroom door.
"Yes?" Skye said softly.
Thor went in and sat next to her on the bed. "I am not upset with you. I do understand you are a teenager and will keep things that Loki tells you from me. And I am okay with that. As long as you promise me if he is doing something dangerous you tell me," Thor said.
"Promise," Skye said.
"Okay," Thor said. He opened his arms.
Skye moved into his arms and hugged him.
"I am proud of you," Thor said.
Skye tilted her head.
"The Skye who came here the first time would never have been bold enough to stand up for herself the way you did," Thor said.
Skye smiled and shrugged.
"No. You have grown and it is something I am very proud of," Thor said.
"Thank you," Skye said.
After Thor left Skye's room. Skye laid on the bed and looked up at the ceiling. She didn't know what to think about how she felt about the interaction. When Skye left the room an hour later she found Thor and Loki in the living room watching a sports game.
"Can I go for a walk?" Skye asked.
"You have your phone?" Thor asked.
Skye held it up.
"Okay," Thor said. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, just want to go sit by the water," Skye said.
"Okay, do not stay too long you will freeze," Thor said.
Skye smiled. "I don't feel the cold the way others do. But I won't."
"Okay," Thor said.
Skye went and sat by the water and was sitting there a while until someone sat next to her and held out a joint. She looked up. It was the girl she had gotten some from the last time she was here.
"I'm surprised you are offering," Skye said. "You got busted last time didn't you?"
"Well yeah. But I'm assuming you got caught and forced to spill," Inga said.
"Well yeah. Pretty much. But I'm okay thanks," Skye said.
"Have you stopped smoking?" Inga asked
"Pretty much. It's not worth the risk to me anymore," Skye said.
Inga nodded, "So um. I have to know. What the hell did Orri do to you? Cause he and Loki were like um. . . best friends."
Skye let out a breath, "Long story. Loki didn't know today. Wait when you say best friends?"
"I don't know if I should tell you," the girl said.
"You kind of just did," Skye said rubbing a hand over her face.
"No I didn't," the girl said a little panicked.
"I won't tell anyone you told me," Skye said.
The girl nodded.
Skye let out a breath. "Smoking weed is sounding better and better by the minute."
"Oh. I'm not going to be the one giving you weed and breaking your soberness," the girl said.
Skye chuckled. "Fair."
The two sat for a while before she got a text asking if she was heading back soon.
Skye sighed "Thor is worse than my father."
Inga chuckled. "You've got to go?"
"I do," Skye said getting up and she walked back to the house.
When Skye walked into the house Thor instantly smelled the marijuana.
"Skyler Rogers," Thor said.
Skye jumped "What? I wasn't gone that long. I came back as soon as you texted," she said quickly.
"You smell like marijuana," Thor said.
"I was sitting next to someone who was smoking it. I promise I was not," Skye said.
Thor watched her face for her tell.
"I promise Thor," Skye said.
"Okay," Thor said. "Who was it you were with?"
"I'm not telling you that," Skye said.
Thor raised an eyebrow. "Why not?"
"Because you will go tell their parents," Skye said.
"You are not wrong. But you still need to tell me," Thor said.
"Respectfully. No," Skye said.
"You can go to your room until you are ready to tell me," Thor said.
Skye sighed and went to her room and flopped on her bed.
Thor looked at Loki, "you know where she could have gotten it from?"
"No," Loki said, which was true. It could have been a couple of different places. "But it is unfair to force her to tell you when she was not using it. I am sure she wanted to. But she did not and she is still being punished?"
Thor let out a breath. He needed to know who she was with right? He would want to know if it had been Skye or Loki smoking and someone else found out. He needed to find out so he could tell the parents. Right? Thor went to Skye's bedroom and knocked.
"Yeah?" she said softly.
Thor went in and saw her wiping at her eyes. His heart broke a little. He had made her cry. He sat on the bed where she was curled away from him.
"Can you come and sit next to me please?" Thor asked
Skye moved and sat next to him.
"I am sorry I have upset you," Thor said
Skye nodded slightly.
"Skye. If it were you smoking I'd want to know," Thor said.
"But I'd hope this person wouldn't tell the adults in their life," Skye said.
Thor nodded. "Have you smoked since you were last caught?"
"No," Skye said. "I promise."
"Okay," Thor said. "You don't need to tell me who you were with. But if you ever smoke again I will change my mind on that."
"Understood," Skye said.
Thor wrapped her in a hug. Skye hugged him.
"Come on. Let's watch a movie," Thor said.
Skye went with him and they sat with Loki and watched a movie
The next day Loki and Skye had been invited to one of the other teens in the area to hang out. On the walk there Loki started the conversation.
"Who were you with yesterday that was smoking?" Loki asked
"Inga," Skye said
Loki nodded.
"Loki," Skye said.
"She told you something she should not have?" Loki asked.
"Not exactly. Just I figured it out from context clues," Skye said.
Loki let out a breath.
"I'm not going to tell anyone until you do," Skye said. "And I'm sorry."
"Not your fault he did what he did," Loki said.
"But maybe it was not as big of a deal as it was made out to be," Skye said.
"Do you ever put yourself first?" Loki asked.
Skye let out a huffed laugh.
"You said he did not even give you a proper apology," Loki said.
"Well, maybe he would have yesterday," Skye pointed out
"I was trying to protect you," Loki said.
"I know. And it was very sweet. And appreciated. But had I known that you two are. . . best friends," Skye said.
Loki sighed.
"Do you really like him?" Skye asked.
"I did," Loki said.
"I'm sorry Loki. I shouldn't have told you," Skye said.
"No. I'm glad you did," Loki said.
"Thor doesn't know you are involved with anyone?" Skye asked
"No. If it was anyone else I would tell him. But he has always been very clear that I am not to spend time with him," Loki said.
Skye nodded they walked the rest of the way before she knocked Skye looked at Loki.
"If he apologizes. For real. And proves he has changed. Would that help you get over what he did?" Skye asked.
"Why do you care?" Loki asked.
"Because you deserve to be happy and maybe he has changed," Skye said
Loki shrugged, "you are not the only person whose opinion would need to be changed."
"If he has changed and apologies I can work on Thor," Skye said.
Loki chuckled. "Yeah. He softens a lot easier for you than me."
"That is so not true," Skye said.
"Yeah it is," Loki said before he knocked on the door.
They were let in and were led to a basement where a few other teens were. Ten minutes later Orri came into the room.
"Orri, you weren't invited," Inga said.
"Yeah I was," Orri said.
"Well you were uninvited," Inga said.
"Okay, you do not need to fight or uninvite him on my account," Skye said.
"Look. I want to talk to Skye and figured she would be here," Orri said.
Inga looked at Skye, "do you want to talk to him?"
Skye took a breath, "you have one minute to say what you have to say,"
"I am sorry," Orri said.
"Okay," Skye said.
"I thought you were cute. And I thought if we got alone for a short time I could get you to like me too," Orri said.
"Okay. I could maybe understand that. But you had to tell the paparazzi I was here to do that?" Skye asked.
Orri let out a breath, "yeah that was dumb," he said looking down.
Skye's face changed from annoyed to confused. Skye grabbed his arm and dragged him upstairs and outside, "Okay. Tell me the fucking truth. Who was it?"
"It was me," Orri said.
"Orri, you want me to forgive you so you have a chance at continuing things with Loki you will tell me the fucking truth," Skye said
"He told you?" Orri asked.
"No," Skye said.
"Someone else did?" Orri asked.
"You tell me who sold me out to the paparazzi and I'll tell you who let it slip," Skye said.
Orri shook his head.
"Wow you must really want to protect whoever it is," Skye said
Orri sighed. "There will be people I always protect."
"Well. If it was me. That person would have to be family. And as far as I know. The only family you have. At least around here. Is your dad," Skye said.
"Was not my father," Orri said. "It was me. And I am really sorry For all of it."
Skye nodded. She was stuck in between a rock and a hard place now. "Orri. I forgive you for trying to push things. I can't forgive you for something you didn't do."
"You going to tell Thor?" Orri asked.
"That you apologized and I forgive you? Yeah." Skye said. "But you make sure you never do anything like that again. Because otherwise, I'll have to tell him the whole truth."
"Thank you," Orri said.
"I'm not doing it for you. I'm doing it for Loki. Because Thor will find out about the two of you. If Loki decides to continue being involved with you. And Loki deserves to be happy," Skye said.
Orri nodded. "I am not going to go back in. So let Loki know I will talk to him later."
Skye took a breath before she went back inside and flopped back down and looked at Loki. "I forgive him. Don't let me be the reason you two aren't together. I'll tell Thor I forgive him later. And Orri said he would talk to you later."
"Okay. Thanks," Loki said.
Inga held out a joint to Loki.
Loki looked at Skye.
"I'm not going to say anything," Skye said.
Loki took it and took a hit he held it out to Skye. "You want a hit?"
Skye took a breath.
"No. I do not want to be the reason she breaks her sober streak," Inga said.
"You will not be. I am the one offering it," Loki said.
Skye took it and took a hit before handing it back to Loki.
The joint was passed around until it was gone.
Skye was more relaxed than she had been in so long and it was much needed. She closed her eyes and zoned out.
Inga shook her head.
"Hey. Trust me. She needs it," Loki said. "I do not think there has been any time I have seen her relaxed other than the one other time we have been high together."
"That's because I don't have the luxury of relaxing," she mumbled. "When you have the entire world watching you. You don't get to relax."
"The entire world is not watching when you are at home," Loki said.
"Except when there are cameras and listening devices," Skye said.
"That was in one room," Loki said.
"Mhm," Skye said. "Yet it was enough that if wasn't for you I would have been left behind in another world."
"I suppose," Loki said suddenly realizing how much pressure she was under.
A few hours later once they had eaten and the high was gone Loki and Skye started for the house. They were quiet.
"Look what was said in there," Loki said.
"Please forget it," Skye said.
"I understand the pressure. But to feel that at home," Loki said
"Loki please, I had a nice night I don't want to think about it right now," Skye said.
"Okay," Loki said.
They got back to the house and went inside.
"You two had fun?" Thor asked.
"Yes," Skye said with a smile.
"Yeah," Loki said with a shrug.
They talked for a little before Skye and Loki went to bed.
Skye was the first one up the next morning. She went into the kitchen and started to make coffee. Thor came into the kitchen.
"Good morning," he said.
"Morning," Skye said as she filled up two cups with coffee and handed Thor one.
"Thank you," Thor said.
Skye picked up hers, "can we talk?"
"Of course," Thor said as they both sat at the table.
"Orri showed up last night," Skye said. "He didn't stay long. But he and I had a conversation. He apologized for what he did. And he meant it."
"Glad to hear it," Thor said.
"I forgive him," Skye said.
Thor nodded slowly, "why are you telling me this?"
"Because I don't want you to stay angry at him," Skye said.
Thor let out a breath, "anything to do with Loki and him being friends?"
"If they stay friends is between them," Skye said.
Thor nodded.
"Skyler, you are sure you are not leaving something out?" Thor asked.
"I've told you all that's my business to tell you," Skye said.
"Okay," Thor said.
Loki came into the kitchen.
"What about you Loki? Anything you want to tell me about last night?" Thor asked.
"I told him I forgive Orri," Skye said quickly.
Loki nodded and grabbed a cup of coffee.
"You two really are too young to drink coffee," Thor said.
Skye and Loki smirked.
"Loki, sit," Thor said.
Loki sat down and sighed, "I will tell you if you tell me that you will not yell."
"When do I yell?" Thor asked.
"When you are angry at me," Loki said. "So often."
Skye went to get up.
"No stay he is less likely to yell with you here," Loki said.
Skye chuckled.
"I am not going to yell," Thor said.
Skye got up and took her cup and went to the living room.
"Thor. I am sorry I was not honest with you upfront. Orri and I were, are. I do not know exactly anymore. But were involved," Loki said.
Thor nodded slowly as he worked through the information. "How long?"
"Couple of months," Loki said.
"Skyler, are you just putting your feelings aside for Loki?" Thor called out.
"No," Skye called out. "He really did apologize."
"Thor. I defended her to him. I would not be bothering to think of a future with him if he was not sorry," Loki said.
"Okay," Thor said. "He still did do something that put Skye and everyone here at risk."
"I know," Loki said. "But I have done stupid things before too."
"Yes. I know," Thor said. "We all do stupid things sometimes. But some things you can not come back from. And putting Skye in danger intentionally. I can not forgive as easily as she has."
Loki nodded.
"Did you tell me this to ask my permission to spend time with or be involved with him?" Thor asked.
"Yes," Loki grumbled. He hated to admit that he knew that his brother was responsible for him and would be quick to intervene if he didn't want him to do something.
"Loki. If I tell you no, are you going to do the opposite of what I say? Thor asked.
"Are you going to tell me no?" Loki asked.
"Answer my question and I will answer yours," Thor said.
Loki narrowed his eyes.
"Or I can lock you in your room until further notice," Thor said.
"I can just teleport out," Loki said.
"I have a way to make sure you can not," Thor said.
"No you do not," Loki said.
"Try me," Thor said.
Loki crossed his arms.
"Just answer my question Loki," Thor said.
Loki sighed, "Fine. No. I will not spend time with him if you say no."
"I am going to speak to him and his father myself, and depending on that conversation I will decide whether or not I am okay with the two of you being friends or more," Thor said.
Loki nodded. That was fair.
Thor's phone rang. Thor answered it, "Hello?"
He was quiet as he listened to the other end of the phone call.
"Is that so?" he asked.
He was quiet again. Loki could hear a voice on the other end of the phone but couldn't hear what was being said.
"I was unaware. But I assure you I will speak to them both about this," Thor said.
He was quiet again.
"I promise you I will find out and let you know," Thor said. And if they did, I promise it will not be overlooked."
The call was ended.
"Skyler, in here now," Thor said loudly.
Loki went to get up.
"No you stay put too," Thor said to Loki.
Skye cringed. They were busted. She got up and went into the kitchen. "Yes?"
"Sit. Down," he said.
Skye sat down.
"Something happened last night you want to tell me about?" Thor asked
"I do not think so," Loki said.
Thor looked at Skye.
"What do you think happened?" Skye asked.
"I am the one asking the questions here Skyler. Answer mine," Thor said.
"I don't know what you think happened but I didn't do anything wrong," Skye said.
"So you don't know anything about a hole in a wall?" Thor asked.
Skye and Loki both looked confused.
"No," Loki said.
"Definitely not," Skye said.
"Where?" Loki asked. "We hung out in the basement. Was it in the basement?"
"It was not," Thor said.
"But I was told Skye you left the basement at one point?" Thor asked.
"Yeah. When Orri was there. I dragged him outside to finish our conversation privately. But when the conversation was done Orri left and I went right back downstairs," Skye said.
"Okay," Thor said.
"If an accident happened that I caused I would already have told you and be planning to help fix it or pay to fix it," Skye said.
"Same. Well, I would have told you and gone to apologize," Loki said.
"I believe you both. I know you are good kids," Thor said.
"Did Inga say we did it?" Skye asked.
"I am not sure," Thor said.
"Would be like her to place blame on someone else," Loki said.
Skye and Thor looked at him.
"She has accused others of things she has done in the past," Loki said.
"You ever get blamed for something she did before today?" Thor asked.
"No," Loki said.
Thor nodded
"Was it Loki or I blamed for the hole?" Skye asked.
"Was not specified. Inga's mother was understandably upset about a hole in her wall that was not there when she and her husband left last night," Thor said.
Both teens nodded.
"Were you two the last to leave?" Thor asked.
"We all kind of left at the same time," Skye said.
"And no one left the basement other than Skye and Orri for a few minutes," Loki said
"Where in the house was it?" Skye asked
"Upstairs bathroom," Thor said
"I did not see anyone go up there," Loki said.
"Me neither," Skye said.
"Okay," Thor said picking up his phone. "I will call Mrs. Lars back and tell her so." He called on speaker with the teens both there.
"Hello," Mrs. Lars said.
"Hello. I have spoken to both Loki and Skyler, and neither of them has any idea about a hole. Loki did not leave the basement and when Skye did so she was with another teenager and they were outside before Skye went back to the basement. They do not believe anyone left the basement. Both of them are here and hear this conversation," Thor said.
"My daughter says she heard Skye go upstairs after coming back inside after speaking to the teenage boy. She assumed to use the bathroom so did nothing about it," Mrs. Lars said.
Thor looked at Skye.
"I didn't," Skye said. "I left the basement with Orri. We went outside for ten minutes. Once he left I went back inside and back to the basement."
"Are you calling my daughter a liar?" Mrs. Lars snapped
Skye flinched and her voice softened. "No. Just maybe she was mistaken."
"Do not snap at her," Thor said sharply. "I was not there and neither were you. I have asked and both have no idea what happened. And I know when they are both lying. And I assure you if they were and knew they would be on their way to your place to apologize and help fix the hole."
Loki looked at Thor silently asking him if he could say something.
Thor nodded
"Your daughter has a habit of placing the blame for things she does on others. I am not saying I know for sure she did it because I do not know. But I do know it would not be surprising for her to have done it and place the blame on someone else," Loki said.
"Hold one moment," Mrs. Lars said before she called for her daughter who came.
"Loki says you have done things in the past and placed the blame on others. Is that true?" Mrs. Lars asked Inga.
"No. Never," Inga said.
"She is lying," Loki said. "I have seen her do things and others got blamed for it."
"Name one thing," Inga said.
"Are you sure you want to go there?" Loki asked.
"Yes. Because you are lying," Inga said.
Loki took a breath.
"Loki, what is it?" Thor asked.
"Orri wasn't the one who called the paparazzi," Loki said.
Skye looked at Loki. "I thought that was. . . "
"Yeah. I know. Orri and I talked last night. On the phone. He told me who you thought he was covering for," Loki said.
"Paparazzi?" Mrs. Lars asked confused.
"When Skye was here before. And everyone was supposed to keep quiet about it," Thor said looking between the two teens.
"I just found out last night," Skye said quickly. "And I thought he was covering for someone else. I didn't see the point of saying anything and making the situation worse."
Mrs. Lars looked at her daughter, "is this true?"
"No!" Inga said. "The two of them smoke so much weed they have probably fucked up their brains."
"Neither of them does marijuana anymore," Thor said but saw the guilty look on both teen's faces.
"They were smoking last night," Inga said.
"So were you!" Loki said.
"Excuse me?" Thor said his voice raised.
"You had people here smoking marijuana?" Mrs. Lars asked.
"Um. No, I," Inga said.
"She is also the one who sat down next to me on the bench smoking weed the other day," Skye said.
"So your daughter was the one who influenced both Loki and Skye to do weed when they both hadn't for months," Thor said.
"I told Skye not to break her soberness Loki is the one who handed her the joint," Inga said.
"I can not believe I am saying this but it has not been that long for me," Loki said.
Thor nodded, "Thank you for telling the truth." He looked at Skye.
"It had been months for me," Skye said her eyes filling with tears.
"Inga. Were you also smoking weed? Who made the hole?" Mrs. Lars asked.
"Yes. Me," Inga said looking down.
"Who brought the weed?" Thor asked.
"Me," Inga said.
"I apologize for my daughter. And I am sorry that they both were smoking here and I was unaware. And I am so sorry she was the one who called the paparazzi when Skyler was here before," Mrs. Lars said.
"You should not have to worry about a bunch of teens being alone for a couple of hours in your home. I am sorry my two teens were involved in the smoking weed. I promise you it will be handled. And I wish I had known at the time but when teens keep secrets we can not be expected to know these things," Thor said.
Both adults said a few more things before the call was hung up.
Thor took a breath. "Skyler. Who did you think Orri was covering for?"
"His dad," Skye said softly. "I didn't think there would be anyone else in the world he would cover for."
Thor nodded and turned his attention to Loki.
"Would you have told me it was her if this situation had not come up?" Thor asked.
Loki shook his head.
"Both of you go to your rooms," Thor said.
Both teens got up and went to their rooms.
Thor shook his head and took a few minutes to calm down. He was angry.
Once he was calm he went and knocked on Skye's bedroom.
"Yes," she said between sobs.
Thor went in and sat on the bed. "Come here," he said opening his arms.
Skye got up and went and stood in front of him.
Thor wrapped her in a tight hug.
Skye sobbed into him, "I'm sorry," she sobbed out.
Thor rubbed her back, "I know."
She slowly calmed down a little.
"Okay, can you look at me now?" Thor asked.
Skye pulled apart from him and looked him in the eyes.
"Skyler, why did you smoke?" Thor asked.
"Finding out that Orri and Loki have been dating, that Orri wasn't the one who called the paparazzi but not feeling like I could tell anyone because he begged me not to. If I had known it was Inga I would have told you. But I just thought he was his father and I too would protect my dad. I just was so overwhelmed and no. No one was pressuring me. But it was offered. And I broke," Skye said.
"I understand that it was a lot to hold onto secrets. Which is why you need to trust that telling the adults in your life who care about you will handle it appropriately," Thor said.
"But I thought he was covering his father. Had I come home last night and told you that? You would have been livid. And what would you have done?" Skye asked. "And it wasn't my place to tell you about Loki and Orri."
"I would have verified it before I handled it. And you are right. But Loki told me that himself," Thor said.
Skye nodded a little, "I'm sorry."
"This is the second time you have come here. And both times you have ended up with marijuana," Thor said
Skye nodded and looked down.
Thor reached up and gently forced her chin up to meet his eyes again.
"I'm sorry," she said again her voice shaky.
"You know you are going to be punished right?" Thor asked.
"Yes," Skye said.
"Bend over the bed," Thor said.
Skye did as she was told, Thor stood up, took off his belt, and folded it in half.
Thor brought the belt down on her butt.
Skye yelped and moved out of the way.
Thor placed a hand on her back "I need you to stay still Skye. I do not want to end up hitting you somewhere else."
"Okay. I'm sorry," Skye said.
Thor brought the belt down again and she yelped again but stayed still.
Thor continued giving a total of twenty with the belt. Skye was sobbing but staying mostly still.
When he was done he put the belt on the bed and sat back down. "Come here when you are ready," he said softly.
Skye stood up and Thor pulled her into a tight hug. Skye buried her face into him and sobbed out over and over again that she was sorry.
Thor rubbed her back. "It is forgiven little one."
Skye sobbed herself to sleep and Thor carefully moved her onto the bed laying her on her stomach. He picked up his belt and went and knocked on Loki's door.
"Come in," he said.
Thor went in and sat on his kid brother's bed.
"How many times have you smoked marijuana since the time I know?" Thor asked.
"I do not know an exact amount. But fairly often," Loki said.
"Is it true that Inga told Skye not to but you offered it anyway?" Thor asked.
"Yes," Loki said. "I did not force her."
"I know that," Thor said. "But Skye had not used it in a long time."
"I know," Loki said. "I fucked up. I am sorry Thor."
"I know you are a teenager. And are going to do stupid things. But you do not bring down other people when you do," Thor said.
Loki let out a breath and nodded.
"Anything else I should know?" Thor asked.
"No," Loki said.
"Okay, stand up. And over the bed," Thor said.
Loki got up and bent over the bed. Thor got up as well and folded the belt that he had been holding in half. He processed to bring it down on Loki's butt thirty times.
Loki was sobbing and fighting to keep himself still by the time Thor was done.
Thor fixed his belt and sat on the bed. He didn't even have to say anything before Loki practically threw himself into Thor's arms.
Thor didn't comment he just wrapped him in a tight hug, "It is forgiven, little brother," he said softly.
Loki sobbed for a good ten minutes before he calmed down and pulled away from Thor.
Thor let him pull away but held his arm to keep him standing in front of him. "I do not want you to be smoking marijuana anymore. Do you understand me?"
"Yes," Loki said.
"Do you need help to stop?" Thor asked.
"No," Loki said.
"If you find you do. Tell me," Thor said.
"Okay," Loki said.
Thor pulled him in for one last tight hug before he let him go.
"What are you going to tell Skye's dad?" Loki asked
"I am going to let her tell him. But he will know the full truth," Thor said.
Loki nodded and looked down.
"Are you scared of him being angry with you?" Thor asked.
"Yeah," Loki said. "He once mentioned he would not hesitate to put me over his knee," he mumbled.
"You were spanked already Loki. He is not going to add on," Thor said.
Loki nodded.
"Do you think otherwise?" Thor asked.
"Well he did tell Skye if she got in trouble here she would be in trouble with him too," Loki said.
"That is true. But that is between the two of them. You do not need to worry," Thor said.
"I just do not think it is fair for her to be punished twice," he mumbled
"Loki, that is not your business," Thor said.
"I am not allowed to have an opinion?" Loki asked.
"Of course you are. Keep it to yourself," Thor said.
Loki sighed, "Fine."
The next day they all packed and headed back to the compound.
When they got to the compound. Skye put her bag in her room before she went and found her dad. Thor had already found him in the office
"Something to tell me?" Steve asked Skye from where he was sitting at the desk
Skye nodded.
"Tell him everything. Or I will," Thor said before he left the room.
"Sit," Steve said.
"I'd rather stand," Skye said.
Steve raised an eyebrow.
Skye sat on the couch with a cringe.
"Ah. Skye, you must have done something pretty bad for him to have gone that hard on you," Steve said
Skye sighed. "Am I going to have to repeat it for Papa? Cause I don't want to have to tell it twice."
Steve texted Bucky to come to the office.
Bucky was there a couple of minutes later.
"Skye got in trouble while in Asgard. She doesn't want to have to repeat what happened to you after telling me," Steve said.
"Okay," Bucky said sitting next to Skye.
"Tell us," Steve said.
"I smoked weed," Skye said.
Steve took a breath. "Whole story please."
"I went with Loki to hang out at someone's house. There was weed being passed around I took it," Skye said
"Why?" Steve asked.
"I found out some information and got overwhelmed," Skye said eyes filling with tears.
Bucky pulled her into a hug while Steve got up and went over to her. He sat on her other side and rubbed her back
Skye turned to sob into her dad. "I'm sorry Daddy. Please don't spank me again."
"I know Peanut. We are going to talk about it. I'm not going to spank you again," Steve assured her.
Skye slowly calmed down and pulled away from her dad.
"What did you find out?" Steve asked.
"Let me tell you the whole thing before you react please," Skye said.
"Okay," Steve said. Bucky also agreed.
"While we were shoveling snow. Thor sent both Loki and me away from a specific house and cleared the snow at that one himself. I asked Loki if he knew whose house it was and Loki told me it was Orri and his father's. He told me that he didn't know why but that Thor told him to stay away from Orri. I told Loki what happened and he seemed annoyed. Later when we were done, someone had gotten a table with hot drinks and baked goods and Orri came to try and talk to me. Loki called him out and told him to leave me alone and I kind of saw something in both their eyes. Thor had told Loki to stay away from Orri but didn't tell him why so Loki ignored him and the two started to hang out and got close. They have been dating which I found out from Inga. When Loki and I went to Inga's house. Orri showed up. Inga told him he wasn't invited and to leave, Orri wanted to talk to me and before a fight broke out I told him to go ahead. He apologized for trying to force a kiss on me. He liked me and thought if we got together alone something could happen. I said I could understand that but not the calling the paparazzi. The look on his face. He was not the one who called the paparazzi. I dragged him outside and asked him to tell me the truth. He said he was him but I could tell he was lying," Skye said.
"I assumed he was covering for someone. And the only person I could think of that he would cover for would be his father. So I said I'd keep it secret. He kept saying that it wasn't him but I didn't believe him. But I said I wouldn't say anything," Skye continued. "The overwhelm I felt knowing these things and I couldn't say anything. I broke when offered the weed."
Steve nodded a little. "I feel like there is more."
"Loki did end up telling Thor about him and Orri. After I told Thor I forgave Orri for trying to force the kiss," Skye continued. "Um. Thor then got a call from Inga's mother. I guess a hole ended up in a wall and Inga said it must have been one of us. And that I had been the only one who had gone upstairs where the hole was. I didn't go up there at all. It wasn't me. In the argument between Thor, Loki, I, Inga, and her mother it came out that Inga was the one who called the paparazzi and she was the one who put the hole in the wall. Had I known she was the one who called the paparazzi, I wouldn't have covered for her," Skye said. "I just knew that Orri doesn't have anyone but his father so I didn't want to cost him that."
"Okay," Steve said digesting everything. "Inga's mother was part of the whole conversation?"
"Yes, she apologized for her daughter and all that," Skye said.
"Who supplied that marijuana?" Bucky asked.
"Inga," Skye said.
"And she offered it to you?" Bucky asked.
"It was being passed around. To be fair she did say she didn't want to be the reason I broke my soberness. Loki technically handed it to me saying he would take the blame for my using again," Skye said.
"Okay," Bucky said. "Anything else?"
"Uh. Don't think I'm forgetting anything," Skye said.
"So. I'm not going to spank you again. But I did say you would be in trouble here if you got in trouble out there. So I am going to find some extra chores to do around here," Steve said.
"Yes, Sir," Skye said.
Steve pulled her back into a hug and kissed her head.
Skye hugged him when the hug was broken Bucky pulled her into a hug as well.
"Can I go?" Skye asked when the hug was broken.
"Yes," Steve said.
Skye went to her room.
Loki knocked on the open office door.
"Loki," Steve said.
"Um, look. I am guessing Skye told you that I am the one who offered her the weed," Loki said rubbing the back of his neck looking very nervous.
Bucky hid his smirk behind his hand.
"She mentioned," Steve said.
"Look I do not know what your plans are but I do not think it is fair for her to be punished a second time. . . when I am not, " Loki said.
"True. I'm sure Thor won't have any issues with you also getting extra chores around here too then," Steve said.
"That is not what I meant," Loki said quickly.
"But you are right. It wouldn't be fair," Steve said
"Oh come on," Loki said.
"Go tell your brother I would like to talk to him," Steve said.
Loki groaned and went off.
Bucky smirked.
Steve chuckled.
"Came in here to help Skye ended up getting himself in trouble," Bucky said, shaking his head.
Thor came in a few minutes later.
"I assume Skye told you everything," Thor said.
"I think so yes, I seriously hope it's all of it," Steve said. "But this is about Loki."
"What did he do?" Thor asked with a sigh.
"He came in here saying he didn't think it was fair for Skye to be punished a second time when he wasn't going to be," Steve said.
Thor sighed and shook his head. He had told the boy to leave it alone.
"So, if you have no opposition. The consequence for Skye from me is extra chores around here I can find some for Loki as well," Steve said.
"No issues from me," Thor said. "If he gives you a hard time you let me know."
"Okay," Steve said.
The three left the office soon after.
At dinner that evening Steve looked at other adults. "Skye and Loki are looking for extra chores around the compound. So if anyone needs anything let them know."
Loki groaned.
"Told you to keep your mouth shut," Thor said.
"I can find lots for them to do," Tony said.
Skye sighed.
"You knew there would be consequences for what you did," Steve said.
"Yeah, yeah," Skye said.
"Excuse me?" Steve asked.
"Sorry, shutting up," Skye said.
After dinner, Loki went to his room and flopped on his bed.
Skye went and knocked on his door.
"Come in," Loki said.
Skye went in, "What did you do?"
"Stuck up for you," Loki said.
"What?" Skye asked.
"I told your parents that I did not think it was fair for you to be punished again when I was not," Loki said.
Skye laughed, "You're an idiot."
"Thanks!" Loki said annoyed.
"I'm sorry. I appreciate you trying to stand up for me but to my dad? Did you honestly see that working in either of our favors?" Skye asked.
Loki sighed.
"Well at least we are in this together," she said chuckling.
"Yay," Loki said half heartedly.
"Have you spoken to Orri again?" Skye asked
"Yeah. But still waiting on Thor saying I can continue dating him," Loki said.
"I'd talk to him for you but I don't want to get in more trouble," Skye said with a smirk.
Loki threw a pillow at her.
Skye chuckled and dodged it and left the room closing the door behind her.
