Aigis's POV
"Hey Aigis."
"Makoto?"
"Yeah, it's me."
It's true! He's really awake! (And talking this time)
I can't help but wrap my arms around him in excitement.
"I missed you so much!"
"You missed me? Did I go somewhere? Wait. Where am I?"
"You're in the hospital, how are you feeling?"
"A little groggy. Actually very Groggy, but I'm alright. Why am I in the hospital?"
"You don't remember?"
"No. Last thing I remember is planning to go to Seaside park with you, Yu, Rise, Sumire and Ren."
Oh. He's forgotten the last few days before he fell.
"You um, had a nasty fall from Gekkokan. And you've been in a coma for the last three months."
"Three months? Really? That's… I'm sorry Aigis."
"Wa- why are you sorry?"
"I don't really know to be honest. I just really feel like I should apologise to you. I'm sorry Aigis, and I love you."
I really thought I had done all the crying I could do. I'm just so happy! I've only ever heard the phrase 'tears of joy', but mow I know what it's like. For the first time in my life, I don't want to stop crying!
My body moves before I can even think! I just hold him as tight as I can. And this time, I'll never let go.
"I love you too! I've missed you so much!"
The room just got so much brighter! it's like the colours are just popping out of the walls. I just… I was so afraid I'd never see him alive again. But now he's here! It feels like a dream!
Everyone: "MAKOTO!"
Everyone comes barging in.
Makoto: "Guys, you're all here? For me?"
Oh, I texted everyone the good news the moment he woke up, (unbeknownst to Makoto).
Yukari: "Of course we are dummy."
Koromaru: "Woof!"
Labrys: "Wow Koro-chan that was very moving."
Futaba: "Wait. You understand Koromaru?"
Metis: "You don't?"
Futaba: "He's a DOG!"
Metis: "And Morgana is a cat, but we understand him."
Makoto (Nijima): "Fair point."
Morgana: "I'm NOT a… oh yeah right."
Yu: "Makoto, you have no idea how happy we are to see you, right Ren?"
Ren: "Huh? Oh, yeah right."
Me: "Ren?"
Ren: "I'm sorry, I was in my own head. It's really good to see you buddy."

Yukiko: "We were all so worried about you."
Junpei: "YOU were. I never doubted for a second that you'd make it through."
There's a voice behind the door that decides to comment: "Yeah huh, and just how many times were you in my arms?"
Junpei: "B-babe! Why'd you gotta out me like that!"
The voice chuckles and responds: "Well I'm sorry Junpei dear, but it was just so cute.
Isn't that-
Junpei: "Oh, I forgot to introduce you to everyone. This is my Chidorita."
Yu: "It's a pleasure to meet you Chidori-san, I'm Yu Narukami."
Ren: "… Ren Amamiya."

Futaba: "And that's Morgana."
Morgana: "It's a pleasure to meet you."
Chidori: "Aww I love cats. Especially when they meow."
Oh, she can't understand him. All her connection to the metaverse is really gone.
Me: "Chidori-san! It's been so long!"
Chidori: "It really has. I've just been so busy planning the wedding because a certain fiancé of mine is no help at all."

Makoto and Junpei just look at eachother and smile. They seem to have some kind of secret.
Chidori: "That sounds beautiful."
Junpei: "Yeah. It's perfect."
Chidori: "One more thing my fool of a fiancé probably didn't mention, everyone in this room is invited to the wedding. Actually, you'd better be there. Or else."
Junpei: "Trust me, you'd better be there, you don't want to make her angry. You wouldn't like her when she's angry."
Ryoji: "Really? Even us?"
Chidori: "Of course. Any friend of Junpei is a friend of mine."
Wow. She's changed so much. I remember a time when she was cold to everyone. Now look at her. She's happy.
Yusuke: "Why thank you miss Chidori-san. Perhaps I could paint something for the occasion."
Chie: "Uh, guys. We're here for Makoto remember?"
Youske: "Right, right. Totally forgot. It's great seeing you again Makoto."
Chie: "Dork."
Youske: "What was that!?"
The most unexpected thing just happened. Makoto laughed!
Makoto: "Thank you guys. Thank you for being here for me. Apparently I have a lot to catch up on, but I just want to say, I love you all."
Everyone just kinda gives me the signal to say it.
Me: "We love you too Makoto."
I really want to know what happened that day he fell. I want to know why. But now is not the time to ask. Right now? We celebrate.
