-[opening music] Endwalker Despair Theme "What Comes of Despair"-
The chaos was sweeping across Eorzea like a wildfire. The primal crystal
Tonberry, summoned by Tataru's careless blood donation, tore through the
lands, its glowing yellow eyes and massive knife striking fear into the
hearts of all who saw it. Duncan, the man behind this nightmare, stood in
the background, enjoying the devastation. His voice echoed as he
commanded the Tonberry to ravage more villages, to bring about chaos like
never before. Tataru knew she had to stop it—but she had no idea how.
As the primal continued its path of destruction, Tataru rushed toward the
Rising Stones, hoping that the Scions could help her fix the disaster she
had caused. She wasn't sure how to explain what had happened—how she had
given Duncan a drop of her blood for what she had thought was just a
harmless prank. But now the consequences were so much worse than anything
she could have imagined.
She burst into the meeting room, panting from the sprint. The Scions were
all gathered around the large table, as usual. Thancred, Y'shtola,
Urianger, Krile, Estinien, Alphinaud and Alisaie, and even G'raha Tia and
the Warrior of Light were present, exchanging news and reports from the
various regions. They all looked up as Tataru rushed in, her eyes wide
with panic.
"Everyone, listen!" Tataru shouted, trying to catch her breath. "There's
a giant crystal tonberry wreaking havoc on the world! It's wrecking
everything! And it's my fault!"
The room went silent, and the Scions exchanged looks. Tataru's heart sank
as she saw the looks of disbelief, disgust, and frustration spread across
their faces.
"What are you talking about, Tataru?" Thancred asked, raising an eyebrow,
clearly not believing her. "A crystal Tonberry? How could you possibly be
involved in something like that?"
Tataru took a deep breath, gathering the courage to explain. "I… I met a
man named Duncan. He said he could help me with a prank, and all he
needed was a drop of my blood. I thought it was harmless! But… but now,
he's used to summon this horrible primal beast, and it's causing chaos
everywhere! I didn't know…"
Y'shtola immediately stood, her expression one of disbelief and
frustration. "Tataru…" she began, her voice dripping with exasperation.
"How many times have we warned you about your pranks? How many times have
you endangered us all with your childish antics? But this? This is beyond
ridiculous."
Tataru shrank under Y'shtola's sharp gaze as the others chimed in, their
voices laced with anger and disbelief.
"This is the worst thing you've done, Tataru!" Alphinaud snapped. "This
isn't some harmless joke, this is a primal on the loose! Do you realize
how much danger you've put us in?"
Alisaie crossed her arms and shook her head. "I can't believe you. We've
faced gods and monsters, and now we have to deal with this mess?"
Urianger's eyes narrowed. "Ye hast forsooth summoned chaos upon us,
tataru. This misstep could most well marshal't to the end of eorzea. I
hope ye understand that."
Tataru could feel her cheeks burning with shame. She had never felt more
embarrassed in her life. It seemed like everyone was taking turns
scolding her for her reckless actions. The tone in the room was harsh,
and though she knew they were right, it didn't make the sting any less
painful. The Scions had every right to be furious, but it didn't change
the fact that she was the one who had to fix this.
After the ridiculing phase passed, there was a moment of silence, and
Y'shtola finally sighed, clearly exasperated. "Alright, enough. We can't
afford to waste more time. It's time to deal with this mess."
"Right," Krile said, standing up. "We've dealt with worse. Together, we
can stop this Tonberry primal."
The Scions quickly mobilized. The Warrior of Light led the way, calling
on their powers and rallied their allies via linkpearl to help in the
battle. They knew it wasn't just a primal they had to face, but a
dangerous force of chaos orchestrated by the treacherous Duncan.
-[battle music] Zodiark Theme "Endcaller-
The group made their way to the outskirts of Ul'dah, where the Tonberry
primal had been spotted. Duncan stood there, arms raised high to the sky,
his eyes gleaming with malice.
"Behold!" Duncan bellowed, his voice carrying over the winds. "I, Duncan,
the new overlord of Eorzea, shall reign over all! Nothing will stop me
now!"
The Tonberry, looming behind him, raised its magical lamp, its eerie glow
lighting up the sky. Without warning, the Tonberry charged toward Ul'dah,
its massive blade raised.
"Warrior of Light!" Y'shtola called urgently. "Summon your allies! We
need all the help we can get!"
The Warrior of Light nodded and lifted their Azem's crystal pendant,
ready to call upon their companions from across the land. But as the
pendant began to glow with magic, something unexpected happened. The
giant Tonberry raised its lamp and, with a surge of power, released a
blast of energy that engulfed the Warrior of Light.
In an instant, the Warrior of Light was sucked into the lamp, trapped
inside it. The group froze in shock.
"What… what just happened?" Krile gasped, her eyes wide with disbelief.
"No!" Thancred shouted. "They've been… trapped? How?"
Duncan laughed, the sound full of triumph and malice. "Ah, the great
Warrior of Light. How naive you all are. A mere trickster's magic, and
now you're all helpless. This is how I will end your reign over Eorzea!"
The Scions, horrified, turned to Tataru, who had been standing on the
edge of the chaos, her heart pounding. She slowly looked up at the lamp
where the Warrior of Light was now trapped. "Is... Is the warrior of
light okay?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.
From within the lamp, the Warrior of Light's voice rang out, laced with
fury. "Okay?! No, I'm not okay, Tataru! You've ruined everything! You've
doomed us all!"
Tataru took a step back, stunned by the intensity of their words. "I… I
didn't mean to," she stammered.
The Warrior of Light wriggled inside the lamp, their voice growing more
and more enraged. "You didn't mean to? You're a walking disaster, Tataru!
You're the reason we're in this mess, and now we're all royally screwed!"
The anger in the Warrior of Light's voice made Tataru shrink, the gravity
of the situation settling in. They were all in danger. Eorzea itself was
at stake, and it was her fault.
The Scions turned to her, their faces full of exasperation and
helplessness. Y'shtola spoke first, her voice sharp. "This is your doing,
Tataru. You need to fix this. And fast. Before Eorzea is no more."
Tataru looked at the trapped Warrior of Light, guilt and fear washing
over her. The weight of their words was crushing. It seemed there was no
way out of this now.
How would they ever stop Duncan and the Tonberry primal? How would they
ever fix what Tataru had done?
To be continued...
