A couple of days after the dance, Scott was in the hallway at school.
"I seriously need to talk with Hailey," said Scott while closing his locker door before taking a step away from it.
"So, you want to go to the beach this weekend?" asked Sanjay who walked by with Hailey as they held hands.
"Sure," said Hailey.
"Hey, can I talk with you for a second, Hailey?" asked Scott.
"Alright," said Hailey. The two then moved out of earshot from anyone else who was walking by.
"We need to get back to the list," said Scott.
"No," said Hailey.
"What?" asked a surprised Scott.
"I've decided that I'm not going to let that stupid thing control my life and I'm not going to do any of the things on it anymore as it's been nothing but trouble since we started it," said Hailey.
"What about the future and saving the world?" asked Scott.
"Let someone else worry about it," said Hailery before she started to head back to Sanjay.
"Is everything alright?" asked Sanjay.
"Yeah, I…," said Hailey, but she was cut off by a sudden explosion from outside.
"What is that?!" someone yelled while standing at the front door. Up in the sky was a giant fractured hole from which Chaos Bots were flooding out of.
"Oh come on," said Scott while looking at all the robots.
"Nice going, Hailey," said Beta who landed in front of them from nowhere.
"Your refusal to do the list has destroyed time itself!" he said while motioning to the chaos that was being created around the robots.
"No, it can't be my fault," said a horrified Hailey.
"Oh, but it is," came a voice from a large Chaos Bot that came through the fracture, standing before the school.
"And I have to thank you for this," the voice said as a woman in red and black armor walked out of the bot when a hatch opened. Her face was covered by a large metal mask.
