June slowly shifted into July.
The weather was getting hotter. Mia and Aerin's relationship continued to grow each day. Both were happy with how far they had come in their relationship which was still going strong.
They have been spending their days just continuing to make a life for themselves.
The former father of orcs was adjusting well and was truly grasping a firm understanding of this world, so that he may live within it in full understanding with the woman he has come to love.
Today was apparently a very special day in this country's history. For it was the fourth of July.
Aerin had read up on many of America's holidays and Mia filled in the rest. He knew that for this holiday, it was marked because it was around this time, this country received its independence from the country of England a few hundred years ago.
"So, are we going to watch these fireworks tonight for the holiday then?" Aerin asked her.
"Yeah, definitely. Never miss out on fireworks. The town has a couple places where they set off fireworks for the occasion. At least one of them is at one of the beaches a few minutes away from the house. It's usually where my family and I go to watch them." Mia informed him.
He had seen videos of fireworks on his laptop. They looked quite fascinating, and he certainly wouldn't mind seeing them.
"Sounds fun. How long do the fireworks last?" He asked.
"For a while. Probably around twenty minutes to a half hour." She replied.
"That long? They must have at least a truckload then of these fireworks." Aerin stated.
"That's because they do. They bring in boxes of them, set them, and light them. Obviously not all at once but they do several at a time. And they tend to light up the sky with a phenomenal show of lights." Mia says.
"Certainly, sounds amazing." He replied.
"It is. And that is why people of all ages enjoy them." She said.
At this time, they were packing things for the beach.
Seeing as it was gearing up to be another beautiful day out, they did not want to waste it by staying inside the house.
Since the warmer weather came, they have probably been spending more time outside of the house than in it. There were plenty of days, they would find themselves at the beach. Other times, they would do little walks through the woods.
The only drawback is that Mia was hardly getting much writing done.
Though she does keep telling herself that she will simply just go out into the backyard and sit at the wooden table and type on her laptop. At least then she would still be outside enjoying the weather while getting some work done.
Even Aerin had found time to try and come up with a fairly solid daily routine himself, trying to work around the nice weather.
It wasn't too long ago; he finally came up with an idea on what to write.
He didn't want to write anything too dark and depressing. Which pretty much summed up his old life as it was. So, he figured he'd give it a try and write some children's stories, with more lighthearted themes to them.
Either way, Mia supported his decision and so far, liked the ideas he did have for a story.
He only started writing it down a couple days ago. By writing, he was writing some things down on paper first instead of typing it into a Word Doc.
Aerin told her he wanted to be certain of his ideas first before he started typing them down.
She understood that. There were plenty of times she scribbled ideas down in a notebook first before transferring any of her main ideas to the computer. Sometimes, it just worked better that way because she would already have a solid storyline down and all she would have to do afterwards, is start typing it in.
As she finished loading the bag, he had filled a couple water bottles for them to add to the bag.
Then the pair left home and went into the garage. She opened it, so that he could go in and grab a beach chair for himself.
Mia didn't plan on taking one this time.
It was pretty hot today, so, she planned on going back and forth between tanning on the beach and going in the water.
Aerin did also grab the beach umbrella in there that was leaning against the garage wall inside not far from the beach chairs. While he didn't plan on using it much, he brought it anyway.
It was just easier to read under the shade of an umbrella than reading in the full sun.
Sure, the sunglasses helped in preventing a glare on the bright white pages but sometimes reading with the hot summer sun beating down on you gets to be a little much after a while.
So, the last few times they had gone to the beach, he carried the umbrella out with them.
The umbrella itself was in its own thin nylon bag with a large strap so you can carry it over your shoulder. Which made it easy for transport. Either way, it's not like they had far to travel.
What was better was that this part of the beach was private property. So, it was always just them here. Or sometimes the family would stop by for dip. Regardless, it was theirs and it stretched pretty far down too.
While Mia did have neighbors, they weren't right next to her. Most of the homes here were pretty spaced out and even then, their homes weren't built as close to the waterfront as hers was.
Still, by the time they got to a nice spot on the beach, they were already hot. At least Mia was. But then, she always overheated easily. Though if anyone were to ask her, she'd still prefer overheating in the summer sun to being cooped up inside during the winter months.
She set the beach bag down, stood straight up, and started fanning herself a little.
"Damn, some would say it's hotter than Satan's ass crack out here today and it's still not even noon yet." The young woman says, with a huff, while wiping the sheen of sweat off her brow.
Aerin chuckled a little at her vivid description of the heat.
"I don't think it's all that bad. Someone is just exaggerating again." He tells her as he sets the beach chair and umbrella down on the sand.
"Hardly, it is hot out here. Think the weather channel mentioned it getting up to ninety-two degrees today as a high. But honestly, I think it's already there." She stated.
"Even if it is, just go jump in the water. That'll cool you off really quick." He replied, as he opened the beach chair.
"You don't have to tell me twice." She told him.
Then Mia started pulling off her cover up and playfully tossed it at him.
Aerin quickly reached up and caught it with a small smirk as it hit his chest.
"What? This all you're going to throw at me?" He teased while waving the bunched up cover up in his hand.
"Oh, I'm sure there are some other things I'm bound to throw at you. Though I think I'll leave you guessing as to what it may be." She teased, as she pulled out her rolled-up beach towel and unrolled it, before lying it flat on the sand not far from his beach chair.
"As long as it's not the chair or umbrella, I'm fine with that. Don't need a reenactment of a scene from that wrestling show your nephew likes to watch. What's it called again? WWF?" He inquired.
"That would be WWE. And I don't blame you. I can't say I'm a fan of wrestling. Though there were some times I did watch boxing. It was rare when I did though. A couple of those times were with a few guy friends in high school. One of them was Sasha's brother, Carlos." She mentioned.
"I've seen some of this boxing. I think it looks like a more sufficient form of fighting than wrestling. Even in Middle Earth, warriors were more apt at throwing hits at their opponents and not so much at grappling with them and trying to force them to the ground." He informed her.
Which was true, the goal was to dish out the most damaging hits and attacks you could at your opponent, and this was just with hand-to-hand combat without the use of weapons.
He was more than efficient in both weapons and hand-to-hand combat. Thanks to the many centuries of being a hardened warrior.
"I agree. Boxing always seemed way more interesting than wrestling. I accredit it to my childhood years of watching the movie 'Rocky' and its sequels with John, growing up." Mia stated.
He grinned in amusement at that, seeing as she had the movie and some of its sequels on DVD and they sat down and watched them together a month and a half ago. The movie itself was interesting, and he did enjoy the initial storyline of it.
"Don't forget the times, you had me watch that movie series along with you not that long ago." He teased.
"Didn't hear you complain, in fact you're the one that requested we watch the sequels after we finished watching the first one." She teases back.
"I know, I was only teasing you." He replied.
The young woman just smiles and shakes her head.
Aerin had pulled off his t-shirt and slip-on sneakers, placing them aside on the sand. He really wasn't all that crazy about sandals, so, he opted for these lightweight slip-on sneakers instead.
"Looks like you're at least finally starting to get a tan. For a little while there, it looked like you were mostly burning rather than tanning and this was even with the sunblock on." Mia said.
"Good to know. Maybe now you will stop referring to me as that ridiculous cartoon character, Mr. Krabs." He says.
She laughed a little at that.
The only reason he became very familiar with SpongeBob Squarepants was because it was one of Robin's favorite cartoons to watch. One day when she was over, there must've been a marathon on, because she spent a good portion of her time in front of the TV in the living room watching it and then ended up dragging poor Aerin over to watch a few episodes with her.
By the end of it, he informed Mia that it was one of the most nauseating cartoons he has seen so far. The main character's nasally voice was nothing less than annoying and the starfish that played his best friend was the biggest idiot. Even worse, he ended up getting the stupid theme song that played at the beginning of each episode stuck in his head after that.
"What? For a while, you did kind of look like him there, especially when you had a frown on your face." She said with laughter in her voice.
He snorted at that, "Hardly. Your eyesight must be going. Don't look anything like the character."
"No, you're right you don't. I just like screwing with you." She continued teasing him.
"I've noticed." He stated, with a smirk.
"Just like I know you like messing with me at times." She pointed out.
"I don't know what you're talking about." He playfully replied.
"Liar." Mia says, with a teasing grin.
"That's a pretty bold accusation. Still, I am not." He said, with an amused smirk.
"If you say so." She countered, enjoying this little game.
"I know so, just as I know well enough that it's way more believable that you like to mess with me." Aerin replied.
Mia was silent for a couple moments, before a small smirk appeared on her face.
"And yet, it's actually been a while since I have done so." She surmised.
He arched a dark brow, wondering what she may have been up to. Judging by the mischievous smirk, he knew she was.
"Do I even know what you're up to? And don't say you're not up to anything. I know that look anywhere, Wilwarin." He points out.
"What look?" She innocently asked.
Aerin didn't go for it though.
"Well, whatever it may be, it will not work." He assured her.
"Suit yourself." Was all she said.
Then Mia reached up behind her and undid the bow that was holding her bikini top in place.
She kept her gaze at him the entire time, and as she shrugged out of the bikini top, his smile faltered a little and started to slowly morph into a small look of surprise.
Her perky breasts came into view as she let the top flutter to the ground. She didn't stop there either, she reached for her bikini bottoms next and pulled them down her legs, kicking them off.
Afterwards, she stood before him, completely nude beneath the bright, shimmering sun.
His eyes flickered up and down her body with an appreciative look.
"Alright, you completely had me this time. I'll give you that." He told her.
The young woman chuckled a little at that.
"Guess this means, I win this round." She teased.
Mia wasn't done yet though.
Instead of going in the water, like she originally was going to do once she got here, she instead went and laid down on her towel with a little stretch while pushing her chest up a little.
Her gaze shifted back to him, and she smirked when she saw he was still staring at her.
"Now you're just being, what's it called again…oh, right, a tease." He tells her.
Aerin can start to feel an erection coming on beneath his swim trunks as he continued ogling her bare body splayed out before him.
"Who me? Nah, if I were to tease you, I'd just start touching myself in front of you." She says, with an amused smirk.
"Don't even think about it. That's my job." He playfully replied.
"Well, if that's the case, why you still standing there?" Mia asked.
He just gives her a wide smirk.
Then he undid the drawstrings to his trunks before pulling them down his legs, and kicking them off. At this point, he was already fully erect.
Aerin crossed the short distance in a couple strides, before kneeling onto the large beach towel next to her. Then he laid down and leaned in to give her a kiss.
Mia reached up and cupped his cheek as she returned it and deepened the kiss.
The kiss gradually grew more intense by the second, until a gasp left her when she felt him lightly slide the tip of one of his fingers over her clit.
He then began to slowly rub it, drawing a muffled moan from her.
She parted her thighs and thrusted her hips up a little into his hand as he continued teasing her. He kept rubbing the sensitive bundle of nerves until it stiffened beneath the pad of his finger.
Mia eventually pulled back from the kiss and started panting as he continued his ministrations. Her pussy contracted and fluttered. Moisture started seeping out and she started to feel the pressure building up down below.
Aerin knelt down and placed a few small kisses down the column of her throat and started rubbing her engorged clit faster. A couple of moans left her as she threw her head back and bucked her hips.
Then just when she was about to feel that sweet release, he suddenly stopped, making it shatter and disappear.
Her gaze shifted to him with both a look of confusion and frustration. While he just smiled back.
"I think this means, 'I win'." He tells her.
She didn't reply. Instead, she reached up and shoved his shoulder, hard enough to send him onto his back.
Afterwards, Mia sat on top of him, straddling his waist. Then she looked down at him with a coy smile.
"Two can play that game." She says.
Then she lightly grips his erection and starts to pump it.
A small groan leaves his lips as she teased his length. His hips twitched when she ran the pad of her thumb over the tiny slit on the rounded tip.
She then lightly pushed it down and pushed her hips forward. She placed her wet and throbbing pussy over the length of his shaft and started running her opening up and down the side of his stiff cock.
His hands automatically went to her hips, gripping them as she rubbed herself up and down his erection in a slow, teasing manner.
Mia moaned as her opening and stiff clit rubbed against the soft skin of his prick, coating it in her wetness as she went.
So much for getting back at him and teasing him like he did her. It quickly backfired and now, it felt like she was teasing herself as much as him.
She stopped and pulled her hips back a little, letting his throbbing erection stand back up at attention.
She grasped it and lined it up with her wet opening, then she started to slowly sink down onto his swollen shaft.
Mia threw her head back with a moan as he filled her, while he squeezed her hips a little more as low groan left him as she enveloped him completely in her tight, warm heat.
She placed her hands on his chest and started grounding her hips down into his. He watched with eyes blown wide with lust as his cock would slowly disappear inside of her as she took him in with the slow gyrating motion of her hips.
Then she repositioned her hands and leaned forward over him to capture his lips in a passionate kiss.
She continued rolling her hips forward, taking him in. The pace is slow and sensual, spurring them on. His hands pulled away from her waist and he started running them up and down her bare back.
A few moments later, they pulled back to breathe, as they continued slowly grinding their hips together, creating some nice friction.
Aerin then rolled them over, placing him on top of her.
He spread his thighs, digging his knees into the towel, the sand beneath it gave a little from the weight. Then he started thrusting into her faster, the sound of skin slapping against skin mixed in with the gentle sounds of the soft waves that were rolling in and hitting the shore.
Mia clenched her arms around his shoulders and let out a cry of pleasure as he rammed his swollen cock repeatedly into her g-spot deep inside of her. A couple grunts followed by an elongated groan left him as he continued pushing them closer to completion.
She felt the pressure building up again, her inner walls were beginning to flutter around his shaft.
He then rolled his hips in a swooping motion, penetrating her deeply until Mia tensed up and let out a long loud moan as her pussy throbbed and spasmed hard around his cock.
Aerin arches his back and stills with a drawn-out groan as he pumps hot spurts of his seed deep inside of her, filling her up.
She continued fluttering around his girth, coaxing out every last bit of his release. Her body tingled as he flooded her womb.
He stayed above her for several seconds, trying to catch his breath. Before withdrawing his length, he shuddered as he pushed out one last spurt inside of her. Then he finally withdrew himself with a sigh.
The two of them lay there on the beach towel beneath the warm sun feeling a little spent.
"I don't know about you, but I think I saw fireworks when we climaxed." She says, between breaths.
Aerin let out a breathy chuckle as he gathers her up in his arms and places a loving kiss against the side of her forehead.
"You're not alone. As always, it was amazing." He replied.
The couple continued laying there relaxing, until they started feeling hot from the strong rays of the sun beating down on their heated bodies.
They didn't bother putting their bathing suits back on. Instead, they just went ahead and jumped into the water, which turned out to be very refreshing and cooled them off.
The waves were very calm today and not very big. So, most of the times they would just float over them.
At one point, they started splashing one another, which drew a round of laughter from them. This lasted for at least a couple of minutes, before he reached over, grabbed her, and pulled her to his front.
Mia wrapped her arms around his neck and lays against him.
They remained at the beach until around 4pm, before packing up their things and walking back to the house.
Once they got in, they were greeted by Tundra. Then they both headed for their bedroom looking to take a shower to wash off the salt and sand.
Mia started up the shower and they both got in together and started washing themselves, beneath the cool spray of fresh water.
Afterward a few minutes, they got out and got dressed in a fresh pair of clothes.
Both were a little too tired to cook dinner. So, they made a couple of sandwiches and had those instead. Then they went and sat together on the couch in the cool air conditioning and picked up the current books they were reading off the coffee table and started reading them.
They did this for a while, until they decided to place them back on the table and switched on the TV.
The pair remained in the living room until it started getting dark. Once the sun was almost down, Mia switched off the TV and turned to Aerin.
"Time to go. It's almost completely dark out and the fireworks will be starting soon." She told him.
"Alright. Let's go then." He says, as he got up and offered her his hand.
She lightly grasped his hand, and he gently pulled her up.
Then they walked around the couch and headed for the front door. Mia grabbed the keys out of the small ceramic dish on the small wooden side table and went to open the door.
"We bringing Tundra with us?" He asked.
She shook her head, "No, he doesn't really like very loud noises. Whenever there is a thunderstorm or fireworks, he starts to shake then goes and hides either under the kitchen table or under my desk in the office room."
Aerin nodded in understanding.
Then they left the house. They walked over to the car that was parked in the driveway and got in. The beach the fireworks were taking place at was not very far. Only a five-minute drive at best. So, they'll be there in no time.
Both knew that her brother John and his family would be there watching the fireworks too, hopefully it won't be too hard finding them when they get there.
Thankfully, it wasn't very hard finding parking spot when they got there. Mia just pulled into a friend's driveway. This friend had told her plenty of times before that she could use her driveway whenever Mia finds herself down this way looking to get a parking spot so she can go to the beach here.
Once they pulled up and parked in the driveway, Mia saw her friend and her family sitting out on the front lawn in some lawn chairs facing the direction of the beach a little further down the street.
"Hey, Mia!" The woman said, while waving.
"Hi, Cheryl! Thanks again for letting us use your driveway." Mia said, with a smile.
"No problem, enjoy the fireworks." Her friend says.
"Thanks, you too." Mia replied.
Then she and Aerin left and started walking down the street towards the beach boardwalk straight ahead. At least her friend only lived about a few houses down from the end of the street.
When they got to the boardwalk, they saw tons of people there. Some were lining the boardwalk, leaning against the metal railing. While many more were camped out on the beach in beach chairs, waiting for the fireworks to start.
Aerin noticed how quite a few people, particularly the kids, were wearing these thin, round bright glowing neon necklaces around their necks that varied in color. While some other kids were running around, holding a thin stick that was sparking at the top.
"Ok John, where are you." Mia says to herself, as she fishes out her iPhone and calls her brother.
It rang only a couple of times, before he picked up.
"Hey, sis. You here?" He asked.
"Yeah, Aerin and I are on the boardwalk in front of Avenel Street." She replied.
"Ok, we're not too far from there. We are on the beach just one block over to your left. I can meet you at the beach entrance." He says.
"Sounds good, we'll head on over." She told him.
"You got it, see you in a little bit." He said.
"See ya." Mia says.
Then she hung up the phone and turned to Aerin.
"John said that they are one block over on the beach. We're going to walk down the boardwalk and meet him at the beach entrance." She informed him.
"Alright." He replied.
Mia took his hand in hers and they started walking down the boardwalk together.
"May I ask, what are those glowing neon things around some of the children's necks and what are those sparking sticks they are holding?" He inquired.
She turned to him with a small smile.
"Those thin round tubes around their necks are glow sticks and what they are holding in their hand that is giving off a spark are called sparklers. They are just something festive and fun for the kids to have for the fourth of July is all." She explained.
"I see." He says.
It didn't take them very long to walk one block down before they came upon the beach entrance.
John was already there waiting for them. He smiled and gave them a small wave once he saw them walking over.
"Hey you two. Happy Fourth of July." He tells them.
"Happy Fourth of July to you as well." Aerin replied.
The three of them walked out onto the beach.
They followed John as he made a slight left and walked a little further down. After about four minutes, the rest of the family came into view. Tess and the kids were sitting in beach chairs waiting for the fireworks to start.
Both Camden and Robin wore glowstick necklaces around their necks. Robin also had a sparkler in her hand as well. While her brother seemed to be a little busy playing a game on his Nintendo Switch.
"Hi Aunt Mia! Hi Aerin!" Robin said with a big smile, and she shot up from her little beach chair to meet them.
"Hey, Sweetie. Looks like you guys picked a nice spot to watch the fireworks." Mia says.
"Yeah, we got a crystal-clear view this time." The little girl said.
"Indeed, and it also looks like no cloud coverage either." Aerin replied.
You can clearly see the bright waxing crescent moon as it started rising higher in the sky now that the sun was down.
The pair walked over, and Aerin pulled a medium size blanket out of a small nylon zip-up bag that Mia had packed to bring, and he unrolled it and set it on the sand for them.
Then they sat down together on the blanket next to the family.
"Hey, do you guys want sparklers? Daddy got a whole pack of them." Robin asked them.
"Sure, why not." Aerin said.
"Yeah, I'll take one, thanks." Mia added.
The little girl ran over and grabbed the small, thin packet of sparklers and carefully pulled two of them out. Then her mother pulled out a little lighter and lit them.
Robin came back a minute later with a sparkler in each hand. Then she handed one to them both.
"Thanks, Hun." Mia told her.
"Thank you." Aerin says.
"Welcome." The child replied.
She sat and chatted with the couple for about three minutes, then there was a loud pop, and their gazes shot to the sky. The fireworks were about to begin.
Robin went back to her beach chair a couple feet away and sat down and looked at the sky once more.
Soon, the sky started to fill with these amazing bright streaks of light. Aerin watched in amazement as the small rockets shot high into the sky with a shrill whistle before exploding with a loud pop or bang as streaks of light burst from them.
It was interesting how they expanded in the sky, almost like they were reaching towards you, giving it a neat 3-D effect. The colors varied from red, silver, gold, and green and each one was different.
Some made a round spear of what looked like bright colored stars when they expanded with a pop. While some others flared out in five streaks. There were also a couple that brightened and flittered downwards, their shapes resembling flailing fish of sorts.
At one point, Mia shifted her gaze to him. She could clearly see he was enjoying the fireworks that gave a spectacular light show.
They last for some time, before dozens of them were lit off at once, lighting up the whole sky in a dazzling display of bright colored lights. It amazed him that they had so many going off at once like this and lasted for several seconds.
Once they finished, the lights quickly dissipated, and the sky was dark once again. Not a moment after, everyone on the beach and boardwalk started cheering and clapping.
Then most of them started packing up the few things they brought like their beach chairs and started heading out.
Mia, Aerin, and the family started doing the same.
"So, what did you think?" She asked him as they started walking back towards the boardwalk entrance.
"It was amazing. Quite fascinating that they can make things like that." He replied.
"Yeah, and it still seems like the fireworks are getting better and better each year." She says.
"And you say that the Fourth of July is not the only holiday that they have them?" He inquired.
"Right, people will also light off fireworks on New Year's. I've even seen some go off on Memorial Day and Labor Day. Though usually that is just people setting them off in their own back yard on those last two holidays." Mia explained.
The two of them said their goodbyes to John and his family once they reached the boardwalk entrance and went their separate ways.
By the time they got home, both were pretty tired. As always, a day at the beach has wiped them out.
They didn't want to go to bed just yet though, it wasn't even 10pm. That was still early for them. The pair usually went to bed anywhere between 11:30pm-12:00am.
So, Mia and Aerin retired to the couch and switched on the TV to kill time.
Mia put on a movie, which happened to be the popular sci-fi action flick, Predator. Then her and Aerin got comfortable on the couch together.
The pair ended up laying down on the couch. She was laying half on top of him while he lay back with his head resting on one of the soft throw pillows.
By the time they had reached the end of the movie, both had fallen asleep.
For them, it was just the end of another perfect day.
Until Next Time!
