Chapter 6: Podcasts in Ben Avon
The next day, we all met up in Ben Avon to listen to two podcasts on sports and organizational skills. Prior to the two podcasts, we jammed out to NSYNC, 98 Degrees, Kate Bush, and Lizzo, as well as the Pop2Kountdown featuring the year 2001. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. The first podcast was about how beneficial sports can be to one's personality and well-being. "I love crafts the best, but I can also try out sports if I want to," Carly stated. "Nevel was always so mean and picky about what activities you could and couldn't do," Mr. Benson stated. "You don't have to choose either sports or crafts," Spencer stated. "You can always do both!" "I love both sports and crafts," Carly stated. "I love both of those, too," Alex agreed. "One of the summers when I was in high school, we did sports and crafts all in one day," Max stated. "I agree," Justin happily stated. "My favorite is showing school spirit in school colors, like tie-dying, for instance," Alex stated. "That is why I wore my colorful tie-dye shirt today." Then, we listened to another podcast on organizational skills. Then, we had a pizza bar for dinner and ice cream sundae bar for dessert. "What did you guys like best about the podcasts from today?" I asked my other friends. "I liked the part about organizing my bedroom and schedule," James stated. "That was exactly what we did the day of celebrating James's 16th birthday," Sarah stated. "If it weren't for cleaning out my closet, then I would not have worn my favorite pink cashmere sweater that day!" "I like organizing by color best," Henri happily stated. "Especially when we are trying to blend into a specific kind of environment, like all-black." "Scavenger hunts are also a good way to practice organizational skills," James pointed out. "No wonder we are so good at them," Sarah added. "We will be having another one very shortly," I told my friends. Pretty soon, it was time for all of us to go home. "Thanks for a great evening, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
