It was like a setting straight out of a fairy tale. Jo Grant burst from the trees into the woodland dell and twirled around, laughing.

"Isn't this beautiful? I can just imagine fairies dancing here in the moonlight. Wouldn't that be wonderful to see?"

The Doctor shook his head. "That's something I hope you'll never witness."

"Why? Fairies are just a myth, aren't they?"

"All myths have a basis in reality, Jo. The Fae are more dangerous than you can imagine; elemental spirits who exist outside of time. They're cruel, capricious creatures, and best avoided."

Jo shivered, suddenly feeling cold.
