The next world will be a Sonic world. The events will be based on Shadow the Hedgehog. Sure, Shadow the Hedgehog is not a great game, but I did enjoy the game and it had some decent levels and boss fights. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the next chapter.
Chapter 10: Rise of the Black Arms Part 1
The group was back at the Comet Observatory after their adventure to defeat an evil computer.
*Comet Observatory 1*
The group was seeing Rosalina.
Rosalina: Welcome back, you guys.
Caleb: I have a question, Rosalina. Why did our Drive Forms activate in the last world?
Rosalina: Well, as you can see, only when you have your regular bodies is when you can have access to your Drive Forms.
Aria: We see. Thanks for the answer.
Rosalina: Well, now it's time for your different world.
Then in the map, they see a thick, dark gray material covering it with various tentacle-like parts coming out from the side, making it vaguely resemble a jellyfish which is above a city, but also close to the floating material there is a half-special satellite.
Rei: So what is our next world?
Rosalina: That world is the different side from Mobius. The world is known as Path of Fate.
Aria: There's something familiar about that…comet.
Sara: Maybe we would find it out when we arrive here.
Luke: Well then, let's go.
The group nods before going to the next world.
*Stop Music*
World: Path of Fate
The group appears inside a spatial station as they looked at the windows where there is outer space outside.
Caeli: Look!
The two younger siblings approached the window before seeing the space.
Kibou: We're in space again.
Luxmon: Very similar like in the Comet Observatory.
Just as they continued watching, Caeli along with Floramon and S. Popplio spots a black anthropomorphic hedgehog wearing white gloves and white shoes.
Floramon: What did you find, Caeli?
S. Popplio: Pop?
Caeli: I think it's someone.
She then approaches the black hedgehog.
Caeli: Hey, excuse me. Do you know where are we?
Black Hedgehog:(Thinking)Huh? What is a human girl doing here?
Mario: Shadow?
The hedgehog named Shadow instantly recognizes Mario, but then he saw the whole group, meaning that Caeli is with them.
Shadow: You again? You're a colorful bunch.
Rei: What does that mean?
Ila: I think he refers to the color from our clothes.
*Laughter and Merriment*
Suddenly, they heard some steps as they turned to see a blue hedgehog with white gloves and red shoes, a yellow fox with white gloves and red and white shoes, a red echidna with white boxing gloves and red shoes, a female pink hedgehog with white gloves, red dress, and red boots, a female white bat with white long gloves, black suit, and white boots, a magenta chameleon with white gloves and purple shoes, a green crocodile with white gloves and black shoes, and a bee with white gloves, orange jacket, and orange shoes. Mario recognizes them.
Mario: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge, Espio, Vector, and Charmy.
Amy: Guys, look. It's Mario.
Sonic: Hey, Mario. Long time no see.
Mario: Yeah, since the first time when we were trying to get the Chaos Emeralds and the previous-a times-a in the Super Smash Bros. Tournaments.
Knuckles: And also the Olympic Games.
Herissmon: Olympic Games?
Vector: It's a special event where we, along with Mario and the others participate in sports.
Rei: Surely, that sounds cool.
Tails: So what are your names?
Then after the introductions...
Rouge: So what brings you here to the ARK?
Hackmon: The ARK?
S. Fennekin: Fen?
Tails: As you guys can see, we're in the Space Colony ARK.
Charmy: Even we saw the newspaper when Sonic prevented the ARK from colliding on the planet.
Lunamon: So what are you doing here?
Alcremie: Cremie.
Sonic: Right now, we're trying to find a way to stop the invasion from the Black Arms.
Knuckles: All of them came when the Black Comet passed above the planet.
Mario: Black Comet, so that's-a the thing above the planet.
Aria: I knew there was something familiar about it.
Espio: Did you see the Black Comet before?
Luke: Yes. In our homeworld, the Black Arms tried to rule our home before. Even Absol detected the upcoming invasion.
S. Absol: Absol.
Dracomon: And we defeated the Black Arms.
Shadow: Well, I have to keep going.
Abby: Shadow, we'll come with you.
Shadow: It would be too dangerous for you all.
Caleb: We can defend ourselves.
Just as Caleb said, he along with Luke, Mario, Aria, Sara, Rei, Ila and Abby summons their Keyblades.
Pomumon: Also, we can fight against the enemy.
Polteageist: Polt!
Shadow: OK, whatever.
Aria: Can you tell us why you came here?
Shadow glances at Aria before briefly flashbacking about a blonde girl with blue eyes and blue long-sleeved dress.
Shadow: Right now, I have Five Chaos Emeralds. I need the seven to uncover the truth from my past.
Vector: Well, in that case, me along with Espio and Charmy will go to the computer room of the Space Colony ARK
Sonic: OK. Me and the rest will go to the Black Comet.
Mario: Now let's-a go!
The group nods before taking separate paths. Sonic's group to the Black Comet and Caleb's group along with Shadow and Team Chaotix across the Space Colony ARK.
*Xehanort - The Early Years - Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance*
But unaware to them, inside the Black Comet, both groups were watched by a black and crimson creature with three red eyes, two horns, and wearing robes. Also, Young Xehanort and Seth are there.
Seth: I see that my siblings are here. Right, Black Doom?
Black Doom: Yes. I haven't forgotten the Aether Team. Because of them and even you, I had to sacrifice half of the Black Arms 1,000 years ago when we were forced to search for new planets to conquer and devour populations to save most of the Black Arms. Even if Ra Moon was destroyed, his death is a minor setback for my plans.
Seth: Extinguishing most of your kind wasn't part of my plans. I simply didn't know it.
Y. Xehanort: And also, the Heartless are loyal to follow your orders and even assist the Black Arms to fulfill your goals.
Black Doom: Thanks for the tip, Xehanort. And now this time, with the Heartless joining forces with my Black Arms, the Aether Team won't stand a chance against me or my troops. Also, Shadow will pay for his betrayal.
Seth: But I warn you one thing, Black Doom. Don't kill my two siblings, or you will answer before me.
Black Doom: I give you my word, Seth.
Even if Seth is on the dark side, he still cares for his two siblings and at the same time, he doesn't trust Black Doom's intentions.
*Cosmic Fall - Shadow the Hedgehog*
Now back with Caleb and the others who are in the Spatial Colony ARK, they are advancing across the place, but a lot of platforms are falling down and there were several explosions too.
Caleb: Caeli, hold onto me.
Aria: You too, Kibou.
Both siblings nodded a bit scared, but Caleb manages to hold his little sister in his arms and Aria did the same with Kibou.
Sara: I suggest we call the non-flying Pokemon inside the Pokeballs.
Luke: OK.
Just as Sara said, S. Absol along with Alcremie, S. Sobble, S. Popplio, S. Pichu, and S. Fennekin were called back inside their Pokeballs.
Dracomon: Now some of us should Digivolve.
The Digimon and their human partners nodded in agreement before using their Digivices.
Veemon: Veemon Digivolve to…GOLDVEEDRAMON!
Dracomon: Dracomon Warp Digivolve to...WINGDRAMON!
Pomumon: Pomumon Warp Digivolve to…TOROPIAMON!
Luxmon: Luxmon Warp Digivolve…ARKHAIANGEMON!
Then Caeli with Floramon and Kibou climbs onto ArkhaiAngemon's back, Caleb and Aria with Lunamon rode onto GoldVeedramon's head, Luke along with Rei, Herissmon, Ila, and Hackmon rode onto Wingdramon's back, and Abby with Sara and Pulsemon rode onto Toropiamon's head, while the Pokemon like S. Mew, S. Celebi, and Polteageist are floating naturally.
Espio: Impressive, young ones. Now we must be careful since everything is collapsing.
As the group advances through the falling platforms, they face black bat-like creatures called Black Wings along with red and blue mage-like Heartless called Red Nocturnes and Blue Rhapsodies.
Charmy: Black Arms and new enemies!
Mario: Those-a ones-a are called Heartless!
Vector: I deduce those Heartless are working with the Black Arms.
Shadow: Then let's destroy them properly!
Espio threw shurikens, Charmy uses his stinger, Vector breathes fire from his mouth, Shadow uses Chaos Spear to throw light energy spears, while Mario casts Thundaga to defeat them.
Shadow: Now we must get outta here!
Just as Shadow said, the group jumps across different platforms while the flying Digimon flew around the place while also avoiding the falling platforms and debris. But as they were advancing, bat-like shadowy Heartless called Fluttering and small black pterosaur-like creatures called Black Hawks appeared, but GoldVeedramon uses Cutting Shot which he fires multiple blades of wind, Wingdramon uses Wing Blast to create a shockwave, Toropiamon uses Petal Carnage which she fires explosive pollen, ArkhaiAngemon uses Heaven's Flame, S. Mew and S. Celebi uses Psychic, while Polteageist uses Magical Leaf with all those attacks defeating the enemies. The group keeps advancing, but then they face bulky black aliens called Black Oaks along with mechanical satyr-like Heartless called Mechanitaurs, but Mario performs Ragnarok while Shadow uses Black Tornado as he spins quickly around the enemies while emitting black energy wind and follows by using Chaos Spear to defeat them.
Mario: The coast is-a clear! Let's-a go!
The children nods before continuing as they jumped down through the platforms until Shadow goes through a yellow coaster while Mario along with Team Chaotix jumps onto Toropiamon's back. The Digimon and Pokémon advances through the place by flying and following Shadow and they returned to the Space Colony ARK where they heard the alarms. Also, the children with the other non-flying Digimon got off from the flying Digimon.
Luke: We're back inside the ARK. Now what?
Vector: We need to arrive at the computer room before this place collapse.
The group advances across the spatial station while facing the black aliens who are known as Black Warriors along with yellow and green mage-like Heartless called Yellow Operas and Green Requiems. Then Shadow teleports several times to punch and kick the enemies while defeating them, Mario uses Strike Raid, Vector also punches the enemies, while Espio turns invisible before punching and kicking the enemies.
Espio: We better hurry up!
The group nods before continuing. They climbed onto their Digimon to take flight while Shadow uses a different coaster with them going outside to the floating and spinning platforms.
Vector: What the heck is that? That passageway is floating and spinning!
Wingdramon: Well, we shouldn't have problems with that.
GoldVeedramon: Yeah. After all, we can fly above them.
The group kept advancing across the falling platforms and debris until Shadow went through another coaster and the rest of the group advances by staying above the group of flying Digimon.
Vector: This must be the ARK's power plant.
Just as Vector said, they entered back to the ARK, exactly in the power plant, first through the corridors, then a room where they face Soldiers and High Soldier Heartless, but Mario casts Firaga while Shadow uses Chaos Spear to defeat them and the group continues. But then in a particular room, they saw a purple jewel below them.
Vector: Save the Chaos Emerald for later! We need to get to the computer room, fast!
Sara: I got this!
Sara then unleashes an energy grappling claw which she grabs the Purple Chaos Emerald and then it arrives to her right hand.
Sara: Ready! Now we must keep going!
Shadow: Understood!
Then the group left the room as Shadow took another coaster and the others were above the group of flying Digimon, once again arriving to the falling platforms. Also, Shadow and even Mario rode into the Jump Vehicles to jump onto different platforms to later leave the vehicles and grab a Pulley Ring and jump through different Pulley Rings until both the black hedgehog and red plumber arrives at more floating platforms where they continued advancing, using Jump Panels, and arriving onto a platform which had two rockets. Both Shadow and Mario grabs the rocket before being fired upwards.
Vector: Hey, look there! It's the computer room!
Charmy: We did it!
*Stop Music*
The group manages to arrive at the computer room successfully where they got off from their Digimon. The four Digivolved Digimon reverts back to their regular forms while the children calls back their Pokemon outside their Pokeballs, knowing that they were in a safe place and Sara gave the Purple Chaos Emerald to Shadow who then grabs it and watches his surroundings.
Shadow: For what reason do I exist? The answers are just ahead.
*Villains of a Sort*
Even if they reached the place, unaware to them, they are being watched by someone who is a bald man who has an orange moustache close to his nose, wearing blue glasses and gray goggles, a red scientist coat, black pants, and black shoes. Also, he has an egg-shaped body and he is in the company of two robots. One yellow and the other gray. They are Dr. Eggman, Decoe, and Bocoe precisely. The three of them are riding in a vehicle called the Egg Mobile.
Bocoe: Did you see that?
Decoe: Shadow along with Team Chaotix and those children with their creatures arrived at the computer room.
Eggman: Yes. Even Mario is here and now he has a Keyblade, meaning that the other children are Keyblade Wielders too.
Then Eggman pushes a button and a projection of Ganondorf appears.
Ganondorf: Looks like those children are there. First, they've defeated King Dedede and foiled Dr. Wily's plans.
Eggman: And now they are in the Space Colony ARK.
Ganondorf: Well, you know what to do.
Eggman: Gladly, I'll take care of them.
Then he turns off the projection of Ganondorf.
*E.G.G.M.A.N. - Sonic Adventure 2*
Now back with the group, they are walking until Eggman along with Decoe and Bocoe appears while the three were above an orange spherical robot which has three panels from a slot machine and four legs with wheels at the end.
Mario: Eggman!
Luke: Let me guess, you met him in the Olympic Games too.
Mario: Yes.
Eggman: Well, long time no see, plumber boy. First, I have important issues with Shadow.
Shadow: What do you mean, Doctor?
Eggman: Hand those Six Chaos Emeralds to me like a good boy.
Decoe: If you do that, we will help you to recover your memories.
Bocoe: And we would work together again like the old times.
Eggman: Also, you were once a great invention from my grandfather's past. But this is my time…Give me the Chaos Emeralds and I will spare your life along with your little friends too.
Shadow: Doctor…
Eggman: What?
Shadow: This is something that I must do on my own…I must uncover the truth. This is for the victims aboard the ARK!
Caleb: Also, don't you see that we must find a way to destroy the Black Comet?
Eggman: This is nonsense! Shadow, you will obey me, or there will be dire consequences! And as for you brats! The good children shouldn't get involved in adult issues! So stand aside and no one will get hurt!
Luke: As if that were going to happen!
*Egg Dealer - Shadow the Hedgehog*
Then the group got ready to face Eggman with his two robots aboard the slot machine-like robot known as the Egg Dealer.
Eggman: I will not allow you to defile my grandfather's legacy! Now you'll get to see the destructive power of my strongest creation yet!
Vector: You know, I think you've made him mad!
Just as Eggman was speaking, the slot panels were spinning until they were showing missiles which were fired towards the group, but S. Mew uses Swift to block and destroy the missiles as the Egg Dealer was accelerating and advancing on the circular platform.
Mario: That robot is-a based on a slot machine. We have to hit every panel and then we could have the advantage.
The group nods before following the Egg Dealer. Shadow jumps before performing his Homing Attack two times which he hits two panels where they landed on the face of Shadow and Mario using Strike Raid which landed on Shadow's face again, giving the result.
Bocoe: This is bad!
Eggman: N-no! Not Shadow Fever!
Rei: Shadow Fever?
S. Sobble:(Confused)Sob…?
Suddenly, Shadow glows with red energy on his body.
Shadow: Grr…! Death to all who oppose me! Chaos Blast!
Just as he said, Shadow accumulates red energy before releasing it into an explosion which hits the Egg Dealer who kept driving and spinning the slot panels. The group follows the Egg Dealer again where Shadow uses a Homing Attack. When he was close to the robot, Shadow uses Chaos Blast to damage the robot again who kept advancing until tripping and the first slot lands onto the spherical bomb devices.
Vector: I've deduced that whoever sets the third reel gets to be the attacker.
Espio: Now it's my turn!
Espio jumps before using Homing Attack which he hits the second slot panel, followed by Caleb using Strike Raid which he hits the third panel with the two of them landing on the spherical bomb devices.
Decoe: Uh-oh!
Eggman: Gah! No! Don't drop them here!
Just as Eggman panics, the Egg Dealer drops itself on the ground before dropping a bomb which explodes onto itself, causing more damage. But the Egg Dealer recovers itself and then S. Mew uses Aura Sphere, S. Celebi uses Magical Leaf, while Luke uses Rising Sun with the three attacks hitting the three slot panels which lands on the panel images showing rings.
Eggman: No! My beautiful rings!
Then in the center of the room, golden rings appeared like a fountain.
Caleb: Mew, gather those rings with Psychic! We'll take care of Eggman!
S. Mew nods before floating towards the rings and using Psychic to gather them while the group kept following the Egg Dealer where Shadow and Espio uses Homing Attack to hit the two slot machine panels as the Egg Dealer stops momentarily.
Decoe: The Egg Dealer has 50% capacity!
Eggman: Ohh, that's it! Now you've asked for it!
The Egg Dealer tried to advance until Aria casts Flower Shoot which she was firing a golden ball of light which hits the third panel with the three of them landing on Shadow's face.
Bocoe: Not Shadow Fever again!
Shadow has regained red energy across his body before using Chaos Blast to hit the Egg Dealer who kept advancing, but Shadow uses Homing Attack which he hits the first slot panel, landing on the missiles, and follows by using Chaos Blast again. Shadow dashes to use Homing Attack on the second slot panel and uses Chaos Blast for the third time while deactivating the Shadow Fever.
Vector: Set the slot reels to missile or bomb and give Eggman a taste of his own medicine!
Caleb: I like how you think! Mew, use Aura Sphere on the Egg Dealer!
S. Mew: Mew!
S. Mew uses Aura Sphere which hits the third slot panel of the Egg Dealer.
Decoe: Yikes!
Eggman: What? W-w-wait! Abort launch!
Bocoe: It's too late!
Then the missiles were fired, but all of them collided onto the Egg Dealer which was damaged. Caeli and Kibou couldn't help but laugh quietly, seeing how Eggman receives a taste of his own medicine. After that, the Egg Dealer kept advancing until Shadow and Espio uses Homing Attack while Mario uses Rising Sun with the three attacks hitting the three slot panels, landing on the bombs.
Decoe & Bocoe: Not again!
Eggman: Gah! No! Don't drop them here!
But it was too late. The Egg Dealer drops itself to the floor with the bomb being dropped on the ground and exploding while also destroying the Egg Dealer which had several explosions.
Rei: So much for the destructive power of your so-called strongest creation.
Eggman: What? N-no! This…can't be…! Gaaaaah!
*Stop Music*
Then the Egg Dealer collapsed. Clearly, Eggman with Decoe and Bocoe were defeated and the three of them are lying on the ground, being close to the destroyed Egg Dealer as Shadow stares at Eggman.
Shadow: Begone! I will not allow you to defile the ARK with your presence!
Eggman: You ungrateful little pest…Have you forgotten that it was my grandfather who created you?
Shadow: I still have important matters to do. Now I must go to the Black Comet for the last Chaos Emerald.
Aria: Wait! We'll come with you.
Shadow: Isn't it too dangerous there? Why do you wanna come there?
Aria: Because we wanna protect the people of this world from the Black Arms.
Shadow flashbacks briefly the same blonde girl with blue eyes in Aria's place.
Shadow: OK. But be careful, because Black Doom is dangerous.
The group nods at Shadow's words.
Vector: You fellas go ahead. We'll stay here to search for more info about Gerald Robotnik.
Espio: Also, someone needs to make sure that Eggman and his robots doesn't follow you from behind.
Charmy: Just leave it to us.
Mario: Okey-Dokey.
Caleb: Now let's go to the Black Comet!
Then the same Digimon who Digivolved before, they Digivolved again for transport to go towards the Black Comet and stop Black Doom and the evil reign of the Black Arms while Team Chaotix stays behind at the ARK.
That's it for chapter 10. Decoe and Bocoe are Eggman's robots from the Sonic X anime. Next time, our heroes will reunite with Sonic's group in the Black Comet.
