A hero always comes when the universe is in dire need, many shapes and forms… - Eldress the First Sorceress
In the Jungle…
Teela was locked away in a prison while she was trying the find the voice inside her, looking for answers to find the champion.
She was meditating until she felt another person in her midst and opened one eye. It was the blond-haired boy, apparently adopted by the chieftain himself, and a tiger. This led to another question though… how did what she assumed to be an upper-class lord boy end up in the most dangerous jungle in the realm? How can he not remember anything from his life before and why has no one tried to look for him?
Adam came with questions for himself as well… with only memories of the jungle, his heart desired more to learn about himself. He hoped that he could communicate with her once again… he then remembered what Moss Man said.
"You know, Child, you have the heart to. For it is not your ears or your mind that you need to know of Tongue'di Lingual, but your heart. We are all connected, Child. To the trees, to the animals, to the stone, and even to the metal and technology and even the magic of the Universe. These threads bind us all together into a tapestry of the Fate design. Connect with your thread, let it vibrate and awaken, then you will know, you will see, you will feel." Kreann'ot n'Horosh informed the child while presenting the flower that glowed green with life while glowing threads appeared, connecting to everything, including Adam.
"How?"
"You know, Young Adam, you just need to remember."
Adam focused and then breathed then continued to enter the room. Teela looked up to him as the boy smiled at her.
"So, you're a magic user." Adam clumsily started while Teela chuckled a little bit.
"Yeah, and I can see your tribe is not a big fan of it." She answered while Adam leaned to the wall.
"Well, the Tigers don't trust magic users very much, they believe that the power of the celestials can corrupt and warp you." Adam explained to her, "They believe only Gods, like Kreann'ot n'Horosh-."
"God of Nature and the Wyld, he who breathes flora and dances the dance of life." Teela clarified on who Adam was talking about.
"Woah, you know about him."
"I've studied magic and knowing who you draw power from is especially important. But I'm not here for Moss Man, though he is an imposing Deity to the world. This is not the reason I've come here." Teela breathed then looked to her hands, "Though it seemed that magic is really is outlawed everywhere, not just Eternos."
"It is?"
"Yeah, thanks to that blowhard, Randor."
Adam frowned, feeling empathy for her.
"Well, he's no friend of ours. The king doesn't care about what's going on in the jungle and refuses to do anything about the poachers." Adam smiled while offering a hand to help her up.
Teela accepted and stood up.
"So… you said you're here for a reason, mind telling me what that is?" The blond wondered to the mage.
Teela then unveiled something from her clothes, something golden with a powerful shine.
"The reason I'm here, the reason I'm being hunted was for this," Teela answered as the sword to Adam, the blade looking hauntingly familiar…
A skull cackling!
Fire! People are burning!
Blood!
"I'll see you never find him or this place ever again!"
"I need to find this champion and give them their sword-."
"A true champion protects those who can't protect themselves…" Adam mumbled in a dazed state.
Teela looked at him oddly, "Hey, you okay?"
Adam shook out of his daze!
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Kinda lost myself a little bit there." Adam sighed while he wasn't so certain himself, "Well, I don't know where you'll find your champion, but I doubt he would be here-!"
BOOM!
Adam and Teela fell to the ground as the land rumbled!
Just outside a few minutes ago…
Krass was pacing back and forth while she was concerned about the newcomer and her magic.
Wun-Dar and Cringer looked at the girl and chuckled a little bit.
"Krasstine, there is nothing to worry about. Adam knows how to handle himself and though I don't trust her magic, the girl seems to be harmless." The Chieftain explained to her.
"But what if she pulls something or tries to steal him from us-."
"Or steal him from you?" Cringer joked, causing Krass to groan and blush, "Krass, Adam just wants to ask the girl some questions. He believes that maybe the secrets of his past may lie with her."
"Yeah, right. Why does Adam even want to know about that stuff? His home is here now, he has a family."
"Krasstine, this is a spiritual problem, one worth exploring. Adam just needs to figure things out by himself, and I say if he wants to learn about himself, he should."
"But what if he leaves, once he does?"
"Krass, if Adam leaves then it is his choice, we need to be supportive and let him know that no matter what choice he makes, we will stand by him."
Krass grumbled and continued to pace around.
"I just wish I could knock some sense into him."
"Now Krass, not every problem can be solved by ramming your head with it."
Krass then looked super determined and stubborn.
"Any problem can be solved by ramming my head with it."
They chuckled at her ferocity, but it would soon be short-lived.
BOOM!
"So, this is where the sword is," Kronis smirked while the Poachbots swarmed the area.
"What is the meaning of this?!" Wun-Dar snarled with Warhammer in hand.
"Simple Savage. We are here for the girl. Hand her over with the sword and we won't burn this place to the ground-hey!" Evelyn calmly explained but she was soon entangled by vines!
Moss Man then appeared.
"You are to leave this place of purity or be consumed by nature itself." He warned them as the Tiger Tribe stood with him.
"As if I would be afraid of a plant. Poachbots attack!" Kronis ordered as the Poachbots soon swarmed the village, freeing Evelyn!
"No one attacks the Grandwitch in such a manner!" Evelyn shrieked and summoned her magic!
The area was set ablaze, warriors were fighting off the robots while Adam was helping Teela escape the fire! The Poachbots soon spotted her while Adam armed himself with a spear, managing to take down a few robots!
But what is a tribe compared to the swarm of the Poachbots, armed with new technology and magic? They were being overwhelmed as Adam and Teela almost faced death! The spear broke and out of desperation, he took the sword without knowing it!
He saw his father fighting Kronis and ran to him!
"Adam, wait!" Teela pleaded but Adam was already on the scene!
"Get away from my dad!" Adam howled, causing Kronis to fall back while the boy took a swing at him.
Such bravery stirred something with the sword and Adam's bracelet.
"He has the sword! Kill him!" Evelyn ordered the Poachbots!
"ADAM!" Krass, Wun-Dar, and Cringer screamed at the boy while the Poachbots tried to slice him!
But the sword showed its magic and blocked them all.
Teela watched in awe, not even hearing her brother call for him.
"A true champion protects those who can't protect themselves…"
"Huh? Who said that?" Adam asked, his eyes' color turning from sapphire to gold.
"Speak these words and be reborn into your true self…. By the power of Greyskull, I have the power!"
"By the power of Greyskull, I have the power?" Adam questioned as Wun-Dar had not heard those words in such a long time.
That was all the sword needed.
The power was unleashed as Adam was soon transformed! The power of justice granted him incredible strength as he took the form of another! Someone who once protected the realm, the hero of the universe!
"Adam, he's the champion." Teela gasped, "Looks like your champion is here, Voice."
"Adam?" Krass gapped.
"He's…" Cringer uttered in awe.
"He-Man."
Somewhere in a forgotten kingdom…
Something stirred in a cocoon of flesh and dropped to the floor, levitating to his feet.
"The power returns."
