"It was too late. Making its way through Metropolis was Krang's ultimate weapon, the interdimensional war machine that could take over the world without using its eye cannon. The Technodrome, being used by Shredder who had upgraded his forces for a hostile takeover of the city and was capable enough to stand against Superman. It looked like there was no chance of stopping the moving fortress, however. They had faced greater threats that could have destroyed Gotham City ten times over, the gang could do it again."
Morning-Metropolis
Watching the sight from Lena Luthor's office. Harley and her friends watched the moving fortress attack the city and ward off the military, which was called in when the Technodrome appeared out of nowhere. There were tanks, planes, and soldiers surrounding the streets and shooting at the fortress. It was futile as the firepower was unable to penetrate through the armor, the Technodrome started to use its eyeball attachment to fire an energy beam at the military vehicles.
"It has a laser. Why didn't Karai tell us that thing has a fucking laser?!"
Harley shouted at Bebop and Rocksteady about what could be described as a moving metal golf ball with a fully armed laser that was capable of destroying buildings. The two said nothing since they didn't know it was operational since they were barely involved in visiting Krang's weapon and not knowing what weapons that was inside of it.
"Rock? We need your girlfriend. Right now."
Poison Ivy told Rocksteady that it felt impossible to face off the Technodrome without any type of muscle. While the mutant rhino's girlfriend could provide before he had a chance to pull out his phone to call her. They heard something booming past them as the four saw Power Girl making her way to assist the military in fighting the war machine. The blonde Kryptonian was the moving fortress as its cybernetic noticed the woman flying in the air, locking the target on her. The Technodrome's eye pupil changed to green as it fired a beam of Kryptonite sending Power Girl flying their way.
"I got her. I got her. I got her!"
Rocksteady called out as he saw Karen flying their way as he prepared himself to take the collision. Unsure if it would hurt, the Kryptonian collided into Rocksteady as they crashed through several officers before stopping in an office that could have pushed them outside.
"Damn. That eyeball is seriously going be a pain in the ass."
Bebop responded to its immense firepower that knocked Power Girl out of the sky and sent her their way. The trio walked past through the rubble to see Rocksteady holding Power Girl since the attack left her vulnerable and unable to move. Helping her stand up, Karen noticed the others in the office as it was a surprise to see them together.
"Kryptonite. I don't know how but that machine has Kryptonite."
Responding to the projectile attack she experienced was genuine Kryptonite. The same rock that could weaken her and any Kryptonians around it, yet that didn't stop her as she continued to hear the screams of people outside who were running away from the Technodrome as she attempted to stand up.
"We have to think this through, we need a lot of muscle. As in a big blue missile that can turn that moving ball into a heap of scrap metal?"
Harley suggested that while Power Girl was indestructible and could help out in fighting the Foot clan, she wanted this to be over once and for all. Karen realized who she was talking about since there was one person who could withstand Kryptonite and handle the combined might of Lena Luthor and Shredder at the same time.
"If you're talking about Superman, then he's gone. After announcing about taking a vacation from everything, he took Lois and John off Earth to some other planet. It'll take a week to contact him."
Power Girl informed them that it was impossible to tell Superman about the Technodrome terrorizing the city. Annoyed by the response and seemingly having no way to handle it, they heard a phone buzzing coming from Bebop. He answers it. The group looked at the warthog's face which went from annoyed that they couldn't get Superman to surprised.
"He brought what?"
The warthog inquired about something that could assist them in battling the Technodrome. Informing the group that something was approaching the building, the five of them hurried downstairs, still questioning who had contacted Bebop and providing him with somewhat positive news regarding the crisis unfolding in Metropolis. As they made their way outside of Luthor Enterprises, they heard a horn honking, which caught their attention.
"That's impossible."
Rocksteady responded to what was driving up toward them as if it was a truck. It had a turtle shell in front of the grill with a color palette of green and yellow, spinning over to park in front of them. The door opened up to show Splinter behind the wheel with Karai inside with a set of weaponry for the gang.
"My son's party wagon. You didn't think I walked through the sewers to get here?"
The old rat asked them about how he originally arrived at Metropolis. Opening the door to help them inside, Ivy looked concerned thinking that they might have left Frankette back in the penthouse with no one watching over her.
"Relax. Shinigami is back at the penthouse watching over your plant, she invited Clayface over for extra protection."
Karai informed the worried adoptive mother about Frankette's safety as they were unsure about what Splinter had planned. Finding seats inside of the truck that were connected to monitors, it displayed the Technodrome traveling across the city at random continuing to rampage randomly and displaying its destructive power.
"Rocky. As much as I would want to hang out in an eighties fashion van, the city needs me helping people out."
Power Girl declined to offer to fight the Technodrome again and join the others in the van due to her enhanced hearing from the screaming that was coming from the buildings that the war machine had destroyed. Rocksteady could see she was serious about staying back since Metropolis was her responsibility, giving her a hug in case anything would happen to either of them. The Kryptonian woman launched herself into the air to help out with rescuing civilians.
"Alright, Splinter. Show us what this hunk of metal can do."
Harley commented on the truck being capable of standing a chance against the war machine. The old rat smiled at the challenge before setting the truck to auto which made the vehicle rev up its engine. Going off in a flash, everyone held on to their seats as Splinter drove them to the Technodrome where they would engage Shredder and Lena Luthor at the same time.
Later-Technodrome
The streets were filled with panic and disaster as the Foot Clan showed no mercy toward the city. Right in the command center was Shredder along with Lena Luthor watching the destruction happening before them, it felt strange to see the city that her brother helped build crumbling in front of her. The ninja master noticed the mutant coyote looking at the destruction of people fleeing in terror to that of a billboard of her former human self engulfed in flames.
"Do you regret your decision?"
Shredder questioned Lena on her betraying Metropolis, deceiving everyone into believing that she was nothing like Lex, and then taking in recently mutated people and turning them into Foot soldiers. Lena said nothing but continued to look at the city as the sight reminded her of something from her childhood.
"When I was a kid, I used to always play with my brother's modeled city. He always worked on the model to make it withstand anything, one day I played with a train that destroyed his building. When he found out, I told him it was an accident. You know what he said to me? I was an accident."
Responding to Shredder about being a mistake at birth and growing a resentful side toward Lex and what he built for himself. Oroku Saki could see the same anger he had for people who believed he was nothing and mistreated. Hearing a growl coming from Lena and her fist tightening up, was a sign that she didn't care for the city anymore.
"I can't play with his city as an adult. Then I'll just destroy it all and build it on the remains!"
Lena barked at the rage she had for Lex and the will to destroy Metropolis to get back at him. The two continued to watch the Technodrome continuing its path of destruction until they saw another set of tanks and soldiers making their way in front of the Technodrome.
"It is time we offer the survivors of our new city the Foot's ferocity."
Shredder announced as he gave the command to send his ground forces to handle the military. Outside were the reinforcements continuing the effort to destroy the war machine, only to see the bullets flying off the exterior. Noticing the Technodrome stopping its movement, the army saw a door opening up with animal sounds being made from inside. The soldiers were petrified at the sight of mutant animals wearing Foot Ninja garments with Dogpound and Fish Face leading the attack.
"For the Foot Clan!"
The dog mutant roared as he led the assault toward the humans and they started taking them out like wild animals. Continuing their attack, Fish Face kicked several humans to the sound as he enjoyed the destruction they were making. His moment of excitement was cut short by a honking sound coming from the corner of the street.
"The turtles? In Metropolis? Unbelievable."
Responding the horn since it would be impossible for the ninja turtles to make it to the city at the same time when Shredder started his assault. Hearing the sounds of vehicles getting smashed into, Dogpound and Fish Face saw the turtle's means of transportation coming toward them and their mutant army. Believing they had the turtles at a disadvantage, they saw coming up from the roof was Harley who was on a custom-made turret.
"Here come the bad guys!"
Harley shouted a battle cry before firing off a manhole toward Fish Face, the fish mutant moved but saw one of the Foot mutants being hit and flying into a nearby store.
"Holy shit, I thought you said these don't kill. That guy is going be in the hospital."
She commented on what they were using to attack the mutants as the truck had various weapons to face off against Shredder's army. Opening up from the truck's side, Bebop and Rocksteady were occupying a set of turrets for themselves and started to open fire on the mutants that were going after them.
"An army of wannabee us. And me with a turret, the best way to settle copycats."
Bebop spoke out at the creatures that Shredder was using as he opened fire on the mutants. The warthog and rhino shot lasers from their turrets as they were strong enough to render the mutants unconscious. Splinter focused on making their way to the Technodrome while avoiding hitting Foot ninjas and mutants at the same time. Dogpound rushed out in front of the truck and tried to stop it, Ivy came out from the passenger's seat and threw a set of seeds on him which tangled him up in vines.
"No hitchhikers asshole!"
She shouted at Dogpound as Splinter gave the redhead a questionable look due to how serious their situation was. Ivy couldn't help herself at the moment she had but pointed ahead as they saw Foot Ninjas throwing shurikens at them, it didn't penetrate the windshield as they drove through the ninjas and they hit the ground on impact. Seeing the entrance closing up, Splinter hits the pedal as the truck drives into the Technodrome right when the opening closes behind them.
"Next time. I'm driving, if there ever is a next time."
Harley responded to the reckless driving Splinter did which was more dangerous than her or Bebop's driving experience. Getting out of the truck to find themselves in the Technodrome, the group was in the lobby room where they saw a set of Foot ninjas surrounding them.
"Okay. Now I can use the explosives."
Rocksteady spoke out about not having the chance to use the grenades that he was given by Karai and the others as the rhino hurled a set of grenades toward the ninja's ground which exploded on impact. Unable to react toward the surprise attack, Harley and Karai worked together using her baseball bat and katana as they worked together in fighting the remaining ninjas. Bebop and Rocksteady looked to the side and saw a set of blasters that came from Luthor Enterprises that the Foot Clan was using.
"Not bad hardware. I wonder if they can make a hole through Shredder's face, or maybe my horn. Either way, I'm not leaving until the bastard pays for shooting my girl."
Rocksteady growled at the thought of hurting him in the most gruesome way after he and the others saw Power Girl shot out of the sky. With the ninjas now taken care of, they heard a speaker going off as their presence had been already detected by Shredder and his forces.
"Hamato Yoshi. It has been a while since we last met, I've seen you've taken up new students as well as my daughter. Know they will suffer the same punishment I gave your sons whenever we met in combat."
Shredder's voice spoke from the PDA to warn them about sharing the same results of being hurt and injured when the turtles encountered him. Karai hurled a kunai at the speaker to help them remain focused on finding him and Lena Luthor. Looking down at a hallway where that could lead them to his location, the six started to move to prevent being ambushed again.
"Not trying to be a killjoy like Shredder. But how the hell are we going to get rid of this metal nightmare? None of us don't exactly know how to use alien equipment."
Ivy questioned how they could get rid of the Technodrome and prevent it from teleporting back to Metropolis. Just as they were going around the corner, they saw a trio of advanced Foot robots waiting for them. Splinter decided to handle them as the rat took out his frustration that the Shredder gave him when talked about harming his friends like he did whenever he fought his sons.
"Who needs alien know-how? We got ourselves a badass ninja master."
Harley responded to her wife about finding a way to deal with the war machine later. She was captivated by the mutant rat's ability to fight three robots at the same time with only his cane and tail. Delivering swift punches toward the robots and ripping off their limbs, he takes out the last robot with a kick and sends its head against the wall.
"Skill is nothing without a plan. And the plan for this attack is to take the head of the Foot."
He responded on what they needed to do as he led the charge to find where the Shredder was located. Following the rat down the hall, they found themselves in another room where they saw a variety of Luthor bots being modified to represent the Foot Clan. Keeping close and watching their surroundings, they heard the roar of a tiger from above the rafters and were able to recognize the sound. It came from Tiger Claw who was stalking them from above as he descended toward them from his jet pack and landed on the ground in front of the group.
"I thought you had left the city after I killed your plant. It seems you find it amusing when I take your loved ones away."
Taunting toward Ivy as she armed herself with a Naginata and was ready to fight him by herself. Splinter stopped Ivy since he was tempting her to attack him, right by the railings was Shredder and Lena Luthor who looked downward at the intruders. However, the group's attention was focused on Lena's new look.
"Wow. Lena, you're a literal bitch. I mean you were that when you lied to us but now you're a genuine bitch since coyotes are dogs. Right guys?"
Harley asked her friends if a coyote was related to dogs which started a conversation since most of them thought she looked like a scrawny wolf. Rolling her eyes at their annoying mumbling, she snaps her fingers which made the bots turn on by themselves and armed their weapons toward the group.
"Well. This bitch is going wipe Metropolis off the face of the planet and turn it into the strongest city ever. Lex could have made Metropolis his if he wasn't focused on Superman. Now it'll belong to us."
Lena responded about how Lex had the resources and money to turn Metropolis into the jewel of the world if he wasn't vengeful toward Superman. But it didn't matter now since Shredder would tear it down to create a city that no one would be able to destroy. Harley scratched her head at the response as she used her psychiatrist skills to piece together why Lena was doing this.
"You not making a city to hurt Lex. You're making a city because you wanted him to spend time around you."
Summarizing the reason for Lena to be doing this since all this time Harley and Ivy had spent time around the businesswoman. Her reason for making Metropolis better than before wasn't to make Lex look bad but as a way to get his attention.
"That's what this is about right? Getting his attention because he was too much of a prideful asshole to spend time with anyone else but himself. But you of all people have to know that can't happen, he's an asshole. Just like the Joker was when I did everything to get his attention. Just Karai and the boys did with Shredder."
Making a speech about how they were the same when it came to impressing people who believed that were bigger than everything around them. That no matter what they did that helped them stand out, the people they wanted to impress wouldn't care. Lena took a moment to think about it as it was the truth, she did all of this to get Lex's attention and for her to acknowledge him. The expression on her face went away since it was too late, she'd already made her choice and chosen someone else to stand with who acknowledged her as an equal.
"Words mean nothing to a soul that is willing to take whatever it wants. Lena is now a member of the Foot, and her first objective in her new allegiance is killing you all."
The Shredder informed the group about where Lena stood as the coyote mutant leaped down to join Tiger Claw in combat, she pulled out a set of katanas. Just as the group prepared to fight Lena, Tiger Claw, and a handful of Luthor bots that had been changed with Foot technology. They felt a sudden shake from outside as there was something strong enough to attack the Technodrome. Shredder looked over at the side where Baxter Stockman was stationed and turned on the monitor to see who was attacking them.
"It seems that Metropolis has another power-hungry tyrant."
Karai questioned her teammates as she was looking on the monitor was none other than Brainiac's skull ship. Hovering above Metropolis and looking directly at the war machine, it changed the monitor from the ship to Brainiac as the Coluan looked upset.
"Human. You have Utrom technology, restricted technology that no one can possess, and attacking a city I proclaimed as mine."
The former world collector talking directly to Shredder as it was a sign that the Foot leader was a threat that could jeopardize the planet. Unsure of what Brainiac had in mind for everyone, he had skull ship fire an energy beam that froze everyone within the Technodrome.
"To avoid any more destruction to Metropolis. You all be collected."
Brainiac told them about being shrunk and taken aboard the Skull Ship, where they would be unable to escape. As the Technodrome began to shake and shrink, Ivy realized she had one last seed in her pocket. Channeling her power from the Green, she made the seed sprout into a tree that crashed past Shredder and struck the control console. The combination of Brainiac's shrinking beam and the technology within the war machine caused a cancellation effect, forcing both alien vehicles to teleport away from Metropolis. This allowed them to settle their confrontation elsewhere without putting anyone else in danger.
