Something I want to clarify.

While I appreciate the suggestions of making artwork for my story, I'm not really interested in collaborating. This is just for hobby purposes. But I hope you still enjoy it and support it.

At their market stand, Lucia is stacking products while Eda is dusting the table, both looking bored. In the meantime, Luis is doing a handstand on his board, while Luz is reading the first Azura book to King.

"Emboldened by the dishonor Hecate had shown, Azura lifted her staff to the cotton-candy skies and shouted, 'I challenge you to a Witch's Duel!'" Luz read from the pages and then focused a little drawing on its corner. "And look! I drew a flip book. Pew, pew, pew!" She flips between the pages."

King peeks over the book, "Show me the picture."

Luz looked at him in amusement, "What?"

"Show me the picture!" He repeated, and Luz tilted her book to show her drawing, "Hah! I can draw better than that. You know, they once called me the King of Artists."

Luis flips off his board and raises an eyebrow, "Wait. I thought you were the King of Demons." He recalls as King froze in place.

"Are you just making this up now?" Luz asked in amusement.

"Doesn't matter," King waved it off. "What's important is that my followers would leave me offerings in fear of me."

"Offerings like what, tasty snacks?" Lucia smirks at him, and he flinches.

"Possibly…"

"Well, I can offer you more of this tantalizing book." Luz offered.

"Yo, E." Lucia finished stacking and turned to their caretaker, "Is it usually this slow?"

"Sometimes." The Owl Lady answered with an annoyed expression, "But it won't get better unless this one stops reading that book." Eda looked at a confused Luz, "Its flowery language is an insult to witches and driving away all of our serious customers." She stated, shaking her feather duster in front of Luz.

"Um, Eda?" The youngest child stood up, and all of them looked around to see nothing but the empty street with only their stand set up, "What customers? There aren't even any other stands around. What's going on?"

"This is a bad omen," Eda said ominously as she narrowed her eyes. "There must be something horrible happening today."

"Hey, guys!" Gus called out as he and Willow ran up to their stand, "Something amazing is happening today!"

"Gus, Willow! Hey!" Luz waves at them with a grin.

"How's it going, guys?" Luis asked.

"It's going great, Luis." Willow blushes at the boy as his sisters smile at them. Then she shook it off, and held up a poster, "It's the annual covention! Student witches get to see all the types of covens before they're placed in one." She explained before she pointed at the bottom, "There's even a mystery guest this year!"

"A job fair for witches!" Luz said in excitement, leaning on her teacher, "Eda, can we go?"

"Absolutely not," She denied, causing Luz to groan and slide to the ground in disappointment. "I never joined a coven for a reason."

"Due to your lack of decent social skills, you detest social and group activities?" Lucia guessed with a smirk and a quirked eyebrow.

"Ha ha ha ha! No!" Eda answered angrily at the oldest child, causing Lucia to deadpan. "A coven might seem like a fun club for witches, but you're also giving up your magical independence to be part of a crooked system." She declared as she slammed her fist on the table, causing Willow to lower her poster in disappointment. "Eh, but, you know, no judgment. In any case, I haven't been to one since we were girls."

"'We'?" Luz asked.

Eda's widened in realization of what she just did, "I—the—I mean—"

Luz popped back up with a smile, "Who's 'we'? You have a mysterious past!" She pointed up at Eda. "Now we gotta go!"

"No," Eda's mind didn't change no matter how many secrets they found out.

"I say we just go without her and find the answers for ourselves," Luis suggested to the others. "We never needed her permission to do anything before, and we don't need it now. She wants to sulk alone here all day, let her."

Eda scoffed in disbelief as they began to walk away. Then she stood in front of them, "I'm perfectly capable of hearing you guys diss me, and I don't appreciate it." Eda told them with her hands on her hips, "And as your mentor, I expressly forbid any of you to set foot at that covention!"

"Look, teach, how about I make it easy for you?" Lucia tried to look as reasonable as possible to their difficult teacher, "Let's all go to the covention, or else."

"Ha! Am I supposed to say, 'Or else, what?'" Eda snorts at the threat she made. "You and Luis might know how to fight. I'll give you that," She then stood in a posturing manner. "But I'm the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles." She bragged, causing the older duo to roll their eyes unimpressed, "I have years of experience in magic on my side. What could either of you possibly do to me?" Eda smirked as she leaned with her hands behind her back.

"Who says we're the ones who's gonna do anything to you?" Lucia asked rhetorically, causing Eda to become confused. "Luz, call it," She smirked at her sister.

"Okay." She knew what she was up to, "And just so you know, Eda, you brought this on yourself."

King held up her book and started reading, "'You shall not shan't doeth no more harm,' Azura callethed out…"

As he continued reading, Eda slowly became sustained by the words, "So flowery, so awful." She stepped from the table, opening the portal door.

"'Hecate could only screech,'" He read as she stepped into the portal. "'Screecheth did she, for the screeching did worseneth.'" Luz then tosses King through the portal as it closes. When it opens a second later, Eda comes back through with King sitting on her head still reading.

"Stop it! Stop it!" She demanded wanting this torture to end, "I will literally do anything to stop this!"

The group then stood in front of a long building with a sign in front of it reading 'COVENTION TODAY alchemists anonymous tomorrow'.

Most of them looked in admiration and excitement at what was to come with Luz bouncing on her feet and Willow was clapping. Of course, Eda wasn't too happy as she groans while pinching the bridge on her nose as she now had a cowl on.

Season 1 Intro

The portal door appears and opens showing Luz, Luis, and Lucia seemingly going through the sky upwards, but they were actually falling. Eda rescues the human trio, and along with King, appear flying the Owl Staff, in the direction of The Owl House.

Afterward, it then showed Hooty at the front door, which opened to show Luz twirling the staff until Eda took said staff back with Luz getting nervous as Luke and Lucia smirk at her before King pops up in front to wave with his arms outstretched.

Then a mural appears with Willow, Gus, and Amity in three frames, with Willow making a heart with her hands, Gus holding out his arms in celebration, and Amity just turning her back with crossed arms.

King appears holding a stuffed rabbit, along with many other stuffed animals around. He pretends to rule these stuffed animals, until some of them fall on him.

Triple LN are Eda's staff flying over Bonesborough, where they meet the big-nosed prisoner, Tinella Nosa, and give high-fives to Willow and Gus. Then, Eda and King appeared while running from the guards before the Noceda trio helped them escape only to lose control of the staff, and they appeared safe… until they hang on for dear life as a massive monstrous worm-like monster, mouth wide open, lunges at them as they scream in horror.

Then five of them are seen on the roof of the Owl House, where the three humans cast their Light Spell, making them go into the night before they each explode in a bright light with "The Owl House" logo appearing with the Light spell streaking across it with background sounds.

"I can't believe you talked me into this." Eda groaned at her human apprentices.

"Stop whining. You practically begged us to take you here," Lucia reminded her with her hands in her pockets.

"You forced me to bring you kids here!" She accused the trio.

"Eh, whatever helps you sleep at night." The eldest child shrugged with an eye roll.

Eda sends a look her way before she struggles to pull her hood on with King helping her, "Gotta keep a low profile." She grunts getting most of her hair inside it.

Luis tries to shove the ready of Eda's hair in her cowl, "Is this cowl really necessary?" He asked as the rest of the group watched.

"Do you think all my wanted posters are for petty theft?" As soon as they finally managed to get her hair in, small objects fell out of her hair.

"We've had our suspicions, yes." He answered looking up at her.

"Okay, partly." She acknowledged her crime before she knelt down, "But the big whammy is I disobeyed the law and refused to join a coven." She scooped all her junk back into her cowl, "If I'm seen, I could go to jail. Again."

"Maybe this informative event will inspire you to join a coven." Willow suggested as she held up Eda's wanted poster. The elder witch responded by tracing a spell that pulls Willow's cowl over her face.

"Not cool," Luis pulls the cowl off Willow's face. "Don't mind her. She's just in a mood because she's here out of spite out of never has anything else she could be doing." The group snickered.

"Watch it." Eda warned him with a scowl, "Let's just get this over with."

Once they entered the building humans marveled at the sight around them, "Whoa. Was I even alive before now?" Luz managed to ask at the sight before them.

Several booths were set up inside with some students discussing with their representatives and others were flying on broomsticks. What drew their attention were the nine banners hanging on the ceiling, each with their own color and symbol: blue with a bandaged hand, green with a flower, orange with a hatching egg, purple with an eye, brown with a cracked fist, red with a lyre, light blue with a mirror, orchid with an Abomination head, and yellow with a potion bottle.

"Schmancy." Luis said in awe as he looked up at the banners, "Hey, guys, those banners up there…" He points up to them.

"Of all the covens here, those are the main nine for students to join," Gus informed him.

"They're Abominations, Bard, Beast Keeping, Construction, Healing, Illusion, Oracle, Plants, and Potions, right?" Lucia asked and the kids looked at her with wide eyes, "Oh, after our 'field trip' at Hexside, we did a little research on how the education system works here."

"We only snuck into Hexside only once," Luz told them with a raised eyebrow and her hands on her hips, "How much could you have possibly learned from that?"

"There's a thing called 'reading', sis," Luis told her snarkily. "It makes no difference where you're from or how talented you are. No one achieves great success without working for it," He shared his wisdom with the others.

"That is so wise," Willow said to Gus who nodded in agreement.

He blushed at the compliment, "Thanks. And if you're curious, we put together a little presentation to share with you guys if you're interested," Luis told them, and they shrugged thinking it couldn't hurt.

"Why not?" Gus says feeling interested, "I'm curious about what you guys put together from your studies."

"Cool. Nothing major," Lucia said as she pulled down a chart from above, which caused slight confusion among the group.

Lucia and Luis ripped off their clothes to reveal they were wearing different attire underneath. Lucia had on no beanie and was wearing a burgundy v-neck sweater, a white collared button-up shirt, black jeans, and matching flats. Luis had on the wardrobe of Steve Jobs: a black turtleneck, blue jeans, and gray sneakers. Then Luis pulls out a projector and a remote causing the screen to show photos of the coven system. The group was compelled to ask, but the two began their lecture with the screen showing the nine coven symbols.

"To begin, I suppose we should start by saying that the Boiling Isles wasn't always this way," Lucia explained to the group as Luis pressed the remote to the next slide. "According to history, long ago, witches used to practice wild magic, but by declaration of the emperor, it was upsetting the Titan and became too dangerous." He pressed it again to show some Hexside students in different uniforms.

It was Luis's turn to speak, "The purpose of the covens is to protect us from the dangers wild magic possesses. For that, the Isles' educational system works to train young witches along scholastic tracks that will prepare them for membership in their chosen coven. And they are allowed to choose any one of the main nine, or of the countless others they hail from."

The screen changes to demonstrations of some of the main nine covens, "And to list those in color that would fit each student best," Lucia faced the ones on the screen, "The orchid one is for Abomination magic, basically having slime to obey its wielder's will and command, whether it's to summon a sludge monster, conjure a weapon or change their shape. The color red is Bard magic, for the manipulation of the world using sound waves. Beast Keeping hails under the color orange and allows for its members to know how to tame and control fauna. The brown one is Construction, for the use of creating tools, pillars, statues, and other structures using earth-based constructs for various projects. Healing is colored blue, for the study of the Isles' field of medicine." The screen changes to the rest and Lucia passes it to her brother.

"Next up is Illusion magic, which is light blue, where the users deceive others around them using projections from their imaginations. The one in purple is Oracle, and it focuses on fortune-telling, controlling spirits, and using various mind-based magics. The color green is for Plant magic, allowing for the control of flora. Lastly, Potions, which is colored yellow, and focuses on brewing various potions with different effects like becoming explosives, keeping curses at bay, even bringing inanimate objects to life, et cetera; depending upon the ingredients used in them." Luis finished their trivia session before he gave the final rundown, "For each student, the track of which type of magic they wish to study depends on the Coven it hails from. Hence why all students from all schools are often seen having to wear the color-coded uniforms." The other kids clap at the knowledge they gained from their studies, "Now, any questions?"

"I got one," Gus stepped forward and looked at them with an expression of bewilderment and confusion, "Where'd this chart come from?"

"I'm personally going with, have you guys been wearing those under your clothes this whole time?" King pointed at their wardrobes.

"And, uh, where'd the two of you get this… What do you call it?" Willow pointed to the device.

"It's called a projector." Luz answered before being the last to speak, "But more importantly, between when we snuck into Hexside and now, where'd you two find the time to make all this?"

"All very good questions, though to sum it up in one answer, a lot can happen in these half-hour shows." Lucia answers them in a knowing manner.

"And it's way more fun if it's made into a fanfiction where the writer thought it would be a good idea to have some fun with their version of the story with their ideas in it," Luis finished, and everyone just stared at them in awkward silence for a moment.

"That answered four questions, yet at the same time raises so many others," Eda tells the kids.

"Yeah," Willow agreed with him, "Show? Fanfiction? Story?" She couldn't help but feel confused. "What do you mean by that?"

"Sorry." Lucia held up a hand, and she and Luis changed back into their old clothes, "For the sake of keeping your own reality intact, any more info is highly classified." She winked at the viewers as she rolled the chart up.

Willow shakes off and decides to continue with the Convention, "Well, as you guys said, there are hundreds of tracks that a person could choose." She grabs Luis by the arm causing him to blush a little and making Luz and Lucia gush a little at the sight. Eda tries to reach upward, but couldn't grab the chart like they did, and shrugs with King as they try to catch up with the kids. "There's Flower Coven, Artist Coven, Big Dog Coven, Small Cat Coven, Tiniest Cat Coven—" Eda groaned loudly as Willow listed the number covens. "Also the Grumpy Coven," He whispers to Luis.

"What was that?" Eda demanded holding up a fist, causing the kids and King to run off.

"Uh, excuse me, ma'am," A man came from behind, getting her attention. "You look rather familiar." He then glances at Eda's wanted posters nearby and compares them.

"Uh... No, I don't. Distraction spell!" Eda reaches into her cowl and throws a bag of Hex Mix on the ground, which does nothing. Eda runs away anyway but returns when the man bends down to grab the bag of snacks, and drags his hood over his face, taking the Hex Mix, and running away again to rejoin the kids.

"Ooh, what's that?" Luz pointed ahead at a bearded witch in a hard hat and Tinella Nosa standing next to a pallet of wood and a pallet of bricks.

"Wild guess, that's one of the main nine covens, the Construction Coven, right?" Luis asked, and Willow nodded.

"That's right," She confirms as they see the witch grab both pallets from the bottom and toss them in the air. The materials fall down to perfectly construct a small house, "They use power glyphs to increase their strength."

"Cool."

The Construction witch removed his hard hat to pull off a power glyph from a stack atop his head, peeled the adhesive off the back of one and puts it on Tinella's face.

Tinella then felt a rush of power flowing through her and let out a powerful shout. She then picked up the witch, and tossed him in the air, "Ha-a-a! I'm the destroyer of worlds!" She started rampaging and grabbing the Construction Coven sign before tossing it.

"Hey, that's the opposite of construction!" Two other Construction witches run in to stop Tinella Nosa as she grabs a giant hammer.

"Yowza-wowza!" Luz said at the sight.

Then a light blue double of Luz appeared from behind her, "Yowza-wowza!" She repeated.

"Yowza-wha-a-a?" Her illusion double walks over to two Illusion track witches and waves before she completely disappears.

"Ah, you've been taken in by the allure of the Illusionist Coven." He gestures to himself as this was his track. "While your brother and sister are right about us using our imaginations to create projections, it's more about using magic with a hint…" He disappears in a cloud of smoke, and reappears a few feet to the right, "Of showmanship." He bows as the other two appear next to him.

"I can respect that," Luis nodded in approval. "There's something for everyone here!"

Luz nodded in agreement, "I know. I mean, acceptance? Comradery? A sense of belonging? What more could you ask for? Covens sound incredible!" Then she looks at their teacher, "Eda, why haven't you joined one?"

"Well, that brings us to knowing that something as cool as this even comes with a catch," Lucia looks at Eda, "It's the sigils, right?"

"That's one reason, sure. Watch closely, kids," She directs Luz's face to another illusion student standing with one of the other ones. "Think of it as a branding you gain when you join a coven, one that seals away all your other magic." The Illusionist seal appears on the boy's wrist, light blue lines running from it up his arms and face, and pales slightly as the lines fade.

"Wait, so in his case, he's only going to be limited to illusion spells?" The youngest child asked with a pointed thumb to the illusionist.

"In short, yeah." The Owl Lady nodded.

"Personally, I think that's stupid," Lucia looked at her group. "I mean, why would anyone want to limit themselves from the full experience of a big part of their lives?" She inquired.

"Exactly my point. But since I never joined a coven, I can do every kind of magic without any restrictions," She emphasizes her point further by creating a fireball in one hand and a ball of water in the other, then making both disappear. "That's why I'm the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles." She brags as she walks.

"You know, I always thought that was just her spouting out hot air," Luis told them with his hands in his pockets. "But when she puts it that way, I guess her baseless claim might just have a tiny shred of credibility."

"I heard that!"

The kids follow after her as King is stopped with a hand on his shoulder, "Weh?"

He looked up to see an Oracle student, "The tea leaves foretell that this will lead you to your destiny." She spun a pen and placed it in his hands.

"Destiny?" King raised an eyebrow, not buying what she was selling. "Feh! I'm not paying for…"

"It's free-e-e." She said eerily as she retreated into the shadows.

"Are you bestowing gifts upon me?" He questioned before he pumped his fists, "Yes! I accept your offering! The King of Demons is back!" His outburst got the attention of others around him.

The rest of the group continued looking around until they made their doorway flanked with mannequins of their members. The banner displaying it had a winged sword and shield in the center of a golden triangle. There were also mannequin soldiers lining the entrance wearing the same uniforms. It consisted of dark gray, long-sleeved jerkins with brown belts at their waist, black harem pants and pointed boots and gloves colored brown, white cloaks, and light gray bird masks with shadows on their lower faces and large round eyeholes.

"That panel looks popular," Said Luz pointing at it in curiosity.

Gus gasped at it in excitement, "It's the emperor's coven!" He then looked up at Willow, "Do you think they'll sign my forehead?" The young illusionist asked as he held his head.

"Only one way to find out!" Willow Stated as she and the boy ran in to see the panel.

Before the humans could go in further, they looked back at their teacher, "Aren't you coming Eda?" asked Luz.

"No way," She dismissed her request, "Out of all the covens they're the worst."

"Really?" Lucia asked, raising an eyebrow, "What type of magic does this one do?"

"All of them."

"Wait, what?" She questioned as her younger siblings were just as surprised, "In that case, why haven't you joined this one?"

"That falls under the category of being none of your business," She told the three of them. "I'll wait out here, so don't bother dragging me in."

"Touchy, touchy, touchy," The older girl shook her head as she looked at the ceiling.

"Look, we get it, Eda." Luz assured her as she understood Eda's ideals, "Covens: bad. Individualism: good. But, we're still figuring this world out, so we're gonna go in there to make up our own minds, okay?"

"She's right, you know." Luis spoke to their teacher, "Everyone's free to make their own decisions, but we're never gonna figure out how things work around here if we don't take any chances. Come join us if you change your mind. Noceda trio, out!" He declared as he and his sisters walked in the panel.

"I'm telling you I just saw her," Said a familiar voice gaining Eda's attention. She saw the same man who recognized her talking to a guard, "She's over there, I think that's her." He said holding up her wanted poster as they both turned to her direction.

"Aw, crud. Kids, wait up!" Eda called out as she followed them inside.

Inside the panel was a large stadium with rings of seats and a chattering audience. Eda sits down next to Luz with Lucia sitting with her hands pocketed between her and Luis, who was sitting with his face resting on his palm.

"All right, let's see this mess." She spoke in displeasure.

"Someone ratted you out, didn't they?" Lucia asked knowingly.

"What'd you expect? All she did was give herself the appearance of someone with a large head," Luis noted how lazy her disguise was. "I'm not claiming to be an expert, but if you didn't want to be seen why not make yourself invisible, or use magic to turn into someone else if you didn't want to be recognized? You can do that, right?" Eda's eyes widened at his question, and she lightly jabbed her head for not even thinking of either of those. "Figures. For someone so smart and has a lot of confidence in her abilities, you are hopelessly stupid and have zero imagination about using them."

Before Eda could retort, the lights dimmed and Principal Bump rose from the floor of the stadium with spirals of green magic. The audience applauds him as he is shown in a spotlight and summons a microphone, "Hello, Bonesborough!" He greeted the crowd with a smile, "Students ask me all the time, 'Principal Bump, what's the height of magical achievement?'"

"Is it this?" A Construction student casts a spell on his head, and everyone is surprised to see his head increased. Eda, Lucia, and Luis's shocked expressions turn blank, however, when his head falls over and crushes a Beast Keeper student next to him.

"That's definitely not it," Lucia spoke up as they witnessed the blunder. "What do you think he gets?" She inquired with a raised eyebrow.

The middle child smirked and answered, "Low expectations and about two points." All four of them burst into laughter.

Bump, however, was not impressed by the Construction boy, "Wow! I failed you as a principal," He grimaced before he held the mic. "It's being selected to join the best of the best. And there are none better than the jewel of the coven system and the enforcers of his will," Three witch soldiers wearing the same uniform as the mannequins at the entrance appear during his announcement, "The Emperor's Coven."

"Whoa!" Luz was amazed at their appearance. Then felt Lucia nudge her shoulder and saw her sister point to the side at their friends.

"Guys!" Willow and Gus are pointing to the boy's signed forehead.

"Feast your eyes on this elite force, each member handpicked to help usher in a new age of controlled magic." All three trace a white spell circle above their head with one producing a jet of flame, another stream of water, and the third producing a streak of lightning. All three elements come together in a firework that turns into confetti. The humans were amazed by the display as Luz grabbed some in her hands.

Eda leaned to the demon next to her, "When does that 'elite force' get here?" She laughs as she slaps her knee, which causes the demon next to her to become uncomfortable and move away.

Back down into the arena, the soldiers are now holding the same elements in balls between their hands as Bump continues, "Members of the Emperor's Coven have access to all, yes, all forms of magic. Ooh! Ahh!" He stated.

"Ooh! Ahh!" The audience copied him.

"Say that it isn't just me." Luis looked towards the viewers, "You guys often question the intelligence, and I used the term loosely, of these denizens by how easily they repeated that 'Ooh, ahh,' right?" Luz looked at where he was looking but saw no one and shrugged it off.

"But…" He started gaining their attention, "Only the best can ascend these ranks. Some day that could be one of you!" He points directly at Amity, who brightens and squeals.

Eda continues to laugh as the three humans look down at the girl. Luz, in particular, hasn't seen her since they snuck into Hexside, "Hmm?"

The three guards grab their capes and disappear in flashes of white light, "And now, I'm pleased to introduce the esteemed leader of this coven and this year's mystery guest. You know her, you love her! Lilith!" The audience gasps in sheer joy as Eda stops laughing in astonishment at the sight of a bright flash of light near the ceiling that turns into a blue raven sitting on a branch.

It flies off to the stage, landing to reveal Lilith. It disappears with a screech as she lifts her arms and sends her mask flying. Lilith is revealed as a tall, middle-aged woman who looks to be in her mid-to-late forties. Like Eda, she had ivory skin, pointy ears, and she had a jewel on her sternum, only it was a sky-blue kite-shaped gem. She had dark blue lips, dark gray claw-like nails, long, dark blue hair, and cyan eyes. She also wore a long-sleeved two-tone black dress and black laced boots. The audience applauds and cheers at her appearance while Eda is looking at her at a loss for words. It didn't go unnoticed by her apprentices.

"You know her?" Luz asked.

"You…could say that," Eda answered as stared at the woman.

Luz gasped as she recalled their talk before coming to the covention, "Mysterious past!"

"Thank you, all," Lilith threw her cape and mask onto Bump, who took them away. "It wasn't easy for me to rise to the top. I also started from humble beginnings."

"Like me?" The big-headed boy's eyes got misty.

"As far as we're concerned, not even close," Lucia shattered his delusions and he narrowed his eyes.

"Now I have the highest honor of enforcing the Emperor's will. So be more. The Emperor's Coven awaits you!" She twirled and summoned a larger raven, which expanded and exploded into little orbs, eliminating the entire auditorium. Lilith poses with her arms out, smirking, while everyone cheers at her display. Everyone except Eda, who glares at her.

Eda stormed out of the auditorium with her human apprentices following after her, "Eda! Where are you going?" Luz asked as she tugged her arm.

Eda pulled the girl's arm off her, "I'm gonna head home and wash the con funk off my skin."

"But we haven't even taken the quiz to determine our coven type!" Luz pulls out a magazine above her head. Eda doesn't even look as she casts a laser beam through it and walks away.

Luz pulled the magazine down to read it as they walked away, "Ooh, a punky potionist."

"Told you we should have come with her." Luis held his hands behind his head, "You were right about her being touchy, hermana mayor."

"Right?" Lucia asked rhetorically, then she looked up at Luz, "And, sis, you should watch where you're…" It was too late as she bumped into Amity, causing her to drop her magazine. "Going."

"Watch where you're…" Amity turned and saw who bumped into her. "Oh, it's you three. Willow's...abomination things."

"Uh... Hey, Amity." Luz waved at her nervously as her siblings looked annoyed at the sight of her, "So, funny story. Not abominations. Sorry for the confusion last week. I-I'm Luz, and this is my big sister Lucia, and our middle brother Luis. We're humans. Hi!" She properly greeted and offered her hand out to her.

Amity smacks it away still remembering the time at Hexside, "Ugh. Put that away. You three are responsible for getting me in trouble with Principal Bump, and I never get in trouble," She stated as she stormed off.

The humans followed her and Luis spoke, "Yeah, I find that hard to believe. And if it is true, all I can say is welcome to the wild side, kid," Luis joked about her situation with her principal. "Besides, you had it coming for how you treated Willow and nearly got Luz here dissected. So, who's really to blame?"

"Shut up!" Amity snapped as she whipped around to them, "And none of you can be here! This covention is for witches only."

"Funny." Lucia spoke with her arms crossed by the attitude she was giving, "I didn't see any 'No Humans Allowed' signs at the entrance, mint-head." Amity glared at her at the nickname.

"Uh…" Luz tried to keep the peace in their group, "Just so you know, we're learning how to be witches. We're receiving magic lessons from a powerful witch and a ferocious demon."

Amity gives a skeptic look over Luz's shoulder, "Is that your 'ferocious demon' there?"

The three humans turn around to see King, decked out in merch, walking towards them with two bakers walking behind him, "Cupcakes in my tummy-tum makes the King say yummy-yum!"

"So you'll join the Bakers Coven?" One of them asked hopefully.

King looks at them as he eats his cupcake in one bite, "Hmm... Nope!" He steals another cupcake off the other baker's tray and runs. "Oh, hey, guys! Look at all those offerings—Wah!" He trips on his scarf and drops his cupcake. Luz goes to help him up and they reach out for his dropped cupcake, failing to reach it before Amity steps on it, making King gasp.

"Oops! That was an accident." She mocks them. Then another cupcake gets thrown in her face. She wipes most of it off and glares, seeing the culprit to be Luis.

"I'd appreciate it if you didn't mock my sister and friend here," He addressed, standing up to the younger girl. "What is your problem, anyway?"

"You guys are my problem," She answers, glaring back at him. "The three of you and your pet are giving witches in training a bad name."

"I'm not a pet!" He shouted at her while scratching his face with his hind leg.

Luz hugs him closely, "He's a very good boy and the King of Demons! I'll tell you what, Amity," She then stood against the girl, "It's one thing to say I can't be a witch—"

"'Cause you can't." Amity interrupted, earning a smack on the back of her head from Lucia, causing them to glare at each other.

"But it's another thing to bully my friends! Just like the good witch Azura said when facing down her rival Hecate at the Bog of Immediate Regret, I challenge you to a witch's duel." Her challenge caused other students around her to gasp as her siblings looked at her in bewilderment.

"You what, now?" Lucia asked her.

Amity stepped forward in front of her, "I accept. Let's set the terms for this duel, shall we?"

"One, if I win, you apologize to King for squashing his cupcake!" Luz pointed to King holding the smashed cupcake close.

"Goodnight, sweet child." He consoled it, as Luis patted his back.

"And two, you admit that humans can be witches too," Luz added defensively.

"Fine by me," Amity then smirked as she brought her own conditions. "But when I win, not only do you have to tell the whole covention you, your brother, and sister aren't witches, all three of you have to stop training forever." Amity emphasizes, causing Luz's confidence to drop at her condition.

"Do it, Luz!" King called out from the ground, and then squashed the remains of his cupcake, "For my honor!"

"...Fine. Let's shake on it," Luz held out her hand.

Amity, however, drew a spell circle around it and they shook hands, "The everlasting oath is sealed." She gave a smug look as she let go of Luz's hand, and the spell circle disappeared.

"That's probably fine." Luz spoke.

"Oh, no, it is not." Luis chuckled out, causing Lucia to nudge his arm.

"Meet back inside the theater in one hour," Amity walked off and flicked her hair. "Let's see what kind of witch you are."

"Guys, I-I can win this, right?" Luz nervously hoped at least one of them would say yes, and saw King stuffing his face with a fallen cupcake.

King looked up at her, "Hmm? Oh, yeah. No," As he continued eating, he felt a slap on his head. "Ow!" He glared up at Luis, who was responsible. "The heck was that for?"

"You're the idiot who told her that she should 'do this for your honor'! Now you're saying she doesn't have a chance?" Luis scolded him.

"I was being dramatic!" King yelled back at him, "Between the three of you, you know only one spell! And it's not really that suitable for combat!"

"Wait, you think I do have a chance?" Luz clasped her hands at her brother.

"Ohhhhh, no, you are as hopeless as this brain-dead bonehead over here." He pointed at King.

"Hey!"

"That's not filling me with confidence," Luz urged the two of them. "Lucia, what do you think?"

"Depends." Lucia started off before looking at their sister, "Do you know any other spells or have any combat experience?"

Luz's eyes widened knowing the answer to her question and was filled with immediate regret for doing this. "Oh, crud!" She whimpers.

Back with Eda, she was still finding her way towards the exit when a familiar voice called out to her, "Sister?" The Owl Lady looked behind her to see Lilith, now stating them to be blood, as she stared at her as she was signing autographs to some Hexside students, "It's been so long since I've seen you last." She finished signing the paper and handed it to one of the students as they approached Eda, "What are you wearing? You look like some sort of trash collector. Oh, right. You are," Lilith mocked her sister.

"Oh, Lily, I just had to see the leader of the Emperor's Coven in action," She then bent down to the students, "You know, when we were kids, Lilith was so excited to see the Emperor's Coven, she peed a little," The kids laughed causing Lilith to blush in embarrassment and glare at Eda.

"T-That's all for today," She gently pushed them away gently and waved to them as they left. With the students gone, she points at Eda. "You shouldn't even be here. You're a wanted criminal," Lilith reminded her before her eyes widened. "Unless..." She gasped causing Eda to look at her skeptically, "I don't believe it! You're here to join the Emperor's Coven!" She stated in overjoyment as she grasped Eda's hands.

Eda chortles at Lilith's suggestion and lets go of her hands, "In your dreams!"

Lilith glared at her sister at how she hadn't changed one bit, "You think being coven-less makes you so much smarter than everyone else." Lilith said, getting Eda's attention, causing the Owl Lady to glare at her sister, "But while you run from the law like a degenerate, I'm mentoring the next generation of powerful witch students into the world." She bragged knowing she was clearly living a better lifestyle.

"Well, I have a few students." Eda told Lilith and narrowed her eyes, "And I bet just one of them could wipe the floor with any of your prissy little blue bloods."

"Is that a challenge?" Lilith stepped up to her face.

"Oh, it's a promise," Eda growled a bit, pointing at her.

Lucia pushed the sisters apart, "Sorry to interrupt whatever this is, but Eda, Luz has a problem."

"I accidentally challenged Amity to a witch's duel, and I think she's going to kill me all the way dead!" She slumped onto the ground.

"Mmm," Lilith looked at Eda knowingly, "It seems one of your students has met my strongest protégé." She then bent down specifically at Luz, noticing her ears, "And look at those ears. Are they human?" She reached out to Luz's ears, only for Luis to smack her hand away.

"Unless you hate where they are, keep your hands to yourself," He glared at the woman, and she glared back at the boy as she stood up and scoffed.

"One has to ask where you even found just one of these, let alone three? Okay, Edalyn," She spun a spell circle to incinerate all of Eda's wanted posters around the building. "For one day, you won't have to hide from the law, because I want to see how good a teacher you really are," She declared as she walked away from the group.

"Come on, kid." Eda knelt down to Luz, "Time to prepare for bloodshed."

"But...whose blood?" She asked worriedly.

"Anyone's guess," Eda smacked her back, chuckling, causing Luz to smile nervously.

The four were now in a hallway with Luz sitting on a box, Lucia sitting on the floor with her legs criss-crossed, and Luis leaned on the wall with his hands in the jacket pockets. All of them watched as Eda put a sweatband on, "All right, Luz. Let's start your training." She declared as she cracked her fingers, "Now, I'm coming at you with a blast of fire. What do you do?" They watch as Luz pulls her hood up and leans off of the box she was sitting on, landing on the floor in a fetal position. "Oh, that's right. I haven't taught any of you guys many spells, huh?"

"Nope," Lucia looked up at her with hands behind her head and a blank stare. "If it hasn't been confirmed yet, I'm going to say it now. You are an awful mentor, and even worse a person."

"Okay, I'm obliged to live by that, but I don't appreciate the attitude," Eda scowled at Lucia's ridicule of her life. "But boy, I hope you didn't make an everlasting oath to stop learning magic or anything. You'd be toast."

Luis facepalms himself as Lucia cringes and Luz sits up to look at Eda, "I-Is there a glowy hand thing that happens, or, uh…"

"Abomination. Rise," Their attention was directed to Lilith and Amity who are preparing for the duel themselves.

Lilith watches her protégé create an abomination that comes up to Amity's shoulders from her spell circle on the ground with a groan. It twists its head off and throws it, hitting a one of the bakers' coven witches in the face. Tinella grabs his hand, chucks him, and then power screams again.

"Ooh, boy." Eda cringes at the sight.

"I can't believe I'm gonna have to stop learning magic!" Luz said in despair.

"It could be worse," Luis said as the ladies all looked at him. "Not exactly sure how, but I'm trying to keep a positive attitude."

"Where's that kind of outlook for me?" Eda asked, wondering if he and Lucia could spare the same positivity for her at least once.

"It immediately flies out the window, catches fire, crashes into the ground, and explodes," Luis answered dryly.

"Funny," Eda said unamused before refocusing on Luz. "But listen to me, Luz. We are not gonna let those snobs win that easy!" She encouraged her as she glared at their rival duo, "We are not gonna let them win at all. I've got an idea." Her sweatband rips as her hair wins its fight against it.

"Nice," Luis says as he takes the torn sweatband off his face. Then he deadpanned at Eda's plan, "And is anyone else feeling uneasy about where this is headed?"

"Big time." Lucia answered dryly, "If it's her idea, it's bound to be full of holes." Eda glared at the two of them for their lack of faith.

"Could you two at least pretend to be nice to me and respect my methods?" She asked with a hand on her hip.

The older duo just glanced at each other thinking it wasn't much of a question before turning blankly to Eda, "No." They replied to her annoyance.

An hour had passed and everyone had made it back into the theater for the duel. Both teams and opponents were standing on opposite sides of the arena from each other, "Beloved citizens, the Emperor's Coven proudly presents an impromptu demonstration of the sort of witch we seek every year." Lilith announced as Amity stepped up next to her, "Introducing Amity Blight."

The crowd cheers as a Beast Keeping student raises a foam finger, "Woo, Amity!"

"Versus…" Lilith gestures forward, Eda steps out of the way and proudly presents a very nervous Luz as her hermanos stood behind them. "Some human girl."

"A human?" An Oracle student questioned.

"Humans can't do magic!"

"She's not Amity." The young beast keeper grimaced as Willow and Gus shared a nervous look with each other.

"Eda, what am I going to do?" Luz asked as she grabbed Eda's arms.

"Yeah, I think this is the part where you told us your big idea," Lucia deadpanned with her arms crossed.

"Okay, listen and learn." She frees her arm and gestures to the ground. "You see those mounds? Get Amity to land on one of those and she'll set off my magic traps."

"And you wonder why we never respect your methods," Luis spoke up to her.

"Yeah, that's cheating!" Luz looked up at her with a frown.

"Nobody'll know," She waved it off. "To all eyes up there it'll look like you're performing magic. Just trust me."

"But I will know in my heart," The girl gestured to herself. "Even if I win now, I lose."

"That's the spirit!" Eda cheers for her, but she sees Lucia shaking her head disapprovingly as Luis groans in disappointment, "What, bad mentor and terrible person again?"

"What do you think?" The former asked rhetorically. "Well, good luck, hermanita. You're gonna need it." Lucia then jumps onto Luis's locked fingers to spring upward and hooks the top of the arena and into the seating area. Luis followed her by pressing one foot on the wall and jumped off to press the other on one side of a wall spike and flips to the bleachers with Lucia as they sat in front.

Eda and Luz couldn't help but be impressed by their maneuvering, "In hindsight, one of them couldn't have challenged her?" The witch asked the girl who was clearly not feeling as confident as she should.

A bell rings/screams to commence the match as both girls approach each other with Luz still nervous, and Amity looking confident. Amity cracks her knuckles with a look that says she's going to enjoy this, and Luz waves with a nervous smile.

Amity traces a large spell circle on the ground, "Abomination, rise." An abomination rises out of the spell circle and towers over the two girls. Luz whimpered as Amity looked surprised by how much bigger it was from earlier. "Whoa!" She then grins at Luz, "Show me what you got, human."

"I'm not good under pressure!" She screams as she runs away and the abomination tries to stomp on her.

With a groan, it twists its head off and throws it at Luz, only to narrowly miss her. Luz is backed against the wall by the advancing abomination as its head regrows. She sinks to the ground in fear, whimpering, and grows nervous when she realizes she's right in front of one of Eda's mounds. She closes her eyes to brace as the abomination steps on it. When it did, a towering jetstream of fire erupted out of the mound.

"How did you do that?" Amity demanded.

"I, uh…" She stuttered only to give her jazz hands and a nervous smile, "Magic?"

"Well, this isn't gonna end pleasantly." Lucia worried that the trap could have actually hurt one of the two if they stepped on it.

Up in the bleachers, King scats as he enters the theater, piled high with hats, shirts, buttons, and scarves, "Things that are free! People are giving offerings to me!" He eventually reaches Willow and Gus. "I love offerings! What did I miss?"

"Luz is in a witch's duel!" Willow tells him worriedly.

"Yeah," Gus's expression was the exact opposite of hers. "And she can win it all. Yeah-yeah!" He raises his arms in enthusiasm.

"Weh?" King looks at the arena in surprise.

The steaming abomination steps onto another mound, and it produces a current of air strong enough to launch it and Amity into the air. She creams. The abomination grunts as it lands on its back as Amity slides on the ground, "I-I saw you that time! You didn't use your hands!" She pointed at the human, "What are you getting at?"

"Not dying!" Luz shouted back at her.

Amity grits her teeth and glares at her as her abomination sits up and stomps toward Luz again. The girl yelps and runs away with the slime monster chasing her.

In the stands, King is making his way down the row of seats for a better look at the fight, "This I gotta see."

Then he notices the beast keeper student waving his foam finger, "Go Amity!"

"Hey! You root for Luz or nobody!" He tries to run at the student but his foot gets caught on his scarf again and tumbles down the bleachers. As Luz runs from the abomination, it steps on a mound and sets off an explosion. In the meantime, King continues falling down as his 'offerings' start falling off as he goes with a hate landing on a bard girl's head.

Back down in the arena, Amity advances on Luz, "How are you doing that?"

Luz sees a mound in front of her and stops the mad Blight, "No, Amity, don't step any closer!"

Amity glances down, and back at her suspiciously, "Why, Luz? What happens if I step closer?" King's screams were heard as they saw him fall flat on his back, directly on the mound. Spikes burst from the ground, forcing the girls to back up.

"Mmm?" King sees that he's unharmed, but his 'offerings' are pierced through, "I'm okay!"

"Spikes?!" Luz exclaimed at Eda and she responded by giving her two thumbs up.

"I knew it! You were cheating!" Amity pointed at her angrily as Lilith walked up to them.

"Amity, no!" Luz said as guilt was plastered on her face.

Lilith touches the top of a shorter spike, making it crumble, and begins standing in disappointment, "Oh, Eda. I do believe this means you lose!" Eda groans.

Luz tried to plead to Amity, "It wasn't my idea to cheat. And when I found out, I tried to stop it, but—"

"Who could believe anything you say?" Amity looked disgusted as she turned around and walked away, but there was something on her neck.

"Wait just a sec, Ms. Protégé," Eda walked over to the young Blight, and Lilith's eyes widened as Eda lifted up the back of her hair.

"Hey. What are you…" Amity couldn't finish as Eda ripped something off her neck and her Abomination's body shrunk down, with its head destroying it.

"A power glyph from the Construction Coven!" She revealed.

The crowd gasps at the revelation, "I mean, I knew it," The Oracle student who gave King a pen lied to save face.

"If you did, you would've said something," Lucia called the Oracle girl out, making her flinch.

"She cheated," Willow whispered to Gus in disbelief.

"Not cool." Luis said to Lucia, who shook her head disapprovingly as she thought the same thing.

"Aha! Yes, yes, yes-yes-yes!" Eda cheered as she started mocking her sister. "You cheated. Perfect, prissy Lilith cheated. Hot dang, I love coventions," She then started dancing around Lilith, "La, la, la, la."

"I only did that because I knew you would cheat!" Lilith argued with her.

"Still cheated. Welcome down to my level!" Eda cheered over how despite Lilith's behavior compared to her own, she was just like her.

"But...I didn't know," Amity rubbed the back of her neck and saw Luz approaching her and ran away.

"Amity, wait." The girl tried calling out to her.

"Luz!" She turned around to see King upside down with the spikes. "Help me!" Luz grabbed his arms and started pulling, but it ended up getting his coven swag ripped off him, "My offerings!"

"You'll get more offerings, King," Luz patted him on the head before running after Amity.

"Hey, wait for me!" King ran after her.

"Knock it off. You're making a scene," Lilith was annoyed by Eda's childish behavior.

"You cheated!" Eda pointed at her then turned her attention to the audience, "Hey, where's the Rhyming Coven? What rhymes with cheated?"

"Stop acting like a child!" Lilith demanded as she looked like she was about to snap in annoyance at any second.

"You were defeated, don't get heated. Get your stank face treated," Eda mocked her.

"Rhyme one more thing." Lilith challenged her sister, "I dare you."

"Oh, it's okay. I'm done." Eda waved it off, only to give her one last rhyme. "Because my rhymes are depleted!"

"Oh, that's it!" Lilith snarled, summoning her white staff and fired a stream of blue flames at Eda, knocking her into a wall. The entire audience gasped, not expecting that.

"Not what I expected from the leader of the jewel of the coven system." Luis commented at the display.

"Think they share more history than we thought?" His sister questioned as she looked down at them.

When the smoke cleared, Eda smirked at Lilith, "There she is." She got out her own staff and spun it in a magic circle only for her to drop it the next second.

"You totally ruined the moment, E!" Lucia shouted from her seat.

"I see that now!" Eda yelled back as she picked her staff back up and fired back a blast of her own. Lilith blocked it with her own power.

"Witch's duel!" The beast student called out as the witches were evenly matched, and their blasts exploded in a white light.

Luz runs out of the theater and looks around trying to find Amity. Eventually, she saw her hiding near the bathrooms, "Amity..." She started as she walked up to the mint-haired girl. "I'm sorry."

Amity just glared at her and scoffed at the apology, "Seriously? Just leave me alone." She shut her eyes and buried her face in her arms.

"I didn't mean to embarrass you." Luz stated softly.

"That's all you ever do!" Amity told her a bit angrily. "First at school, and now this!"

"Yeah, but—" Amity interrupted Luz by standing up to her face.

"You made me look like a fool in front of the Emperor's Coven. My future! You think it's so easy to be a witch," She told the human, who flinched at her frustration. "I have been working my whole life to get to the top!" She pointed at Luz who backed away as she got closer, "You lost! You cheated! Say it! Say you're not a witch!"

Luz just looked down in depression, "I'm not a witch. Not me, nor my brother or sister," Luz admitted and sat down, and Amity expected her to be more sorrowful. She then saw the human take out a notebook and Amity curiously sat down to find out what she was doing. Luz drew the light glyph symbol she learned and pressed a finger against it. It glowed and turned into a light orb, and Luz smiled softly at Amity, "But I'm training hard to be one." Amity stared at the light in awe.

Back in the theater where the sisters were still fighting, Lilith was spinning her staff to deflect Eda's attacks, then fired a large blast of magic out of hand. Eda spun and made a circle on the ground to summon a wooden pillar to block it off. As it grew and bent towards Lilith, it turned into Hooty and hooted lowly. Lilith spun a spell circle to teleport herself out of the way. Unfortunately, stray magic began to pelt the audience, making them run away, except for Luis and Lucia; who ducked as they continued to watch the duel.

Eda spun her fingers to make several smaller Hooty around Lilith to attack her, but she teleported to avoid all of them. She then used her magic to bring herself into the air, and she threw her staff at Eda and destroyed all the wooden Hootys at the same time. Eda spun her own staff around. to create a bubble to protect herself as Lilith tried to pierce her staff into the bubble further. As her shield cracked, Eda's expression didn't change and Owlbert's eyes glowed, and he came to life, smacking her against the face and pulling her hair.

"Ow, ow, ow-ow-ow. Ow-ow-ow-ow-ow!" Lilith cried out as Owlbert pulled her from Eda.

"Say goodnight, sister," Eda spun around her staff and tapped it against the wooden Hooty. Owlbert flew out of the way as the giant wooden owl swallowed Lilith. She smirked as Owlbert landed back at the top of her staff. Her smirk disappeared when she looked over to see a hole with blue flames appear on the side wooden owl tube.

There was no sign of Lilith anywhere until she appeared behind her. "Enough of this," She declared as blue energy came from her hand. Eda was too late to react as Lilith knocked her into the wall hard enough to leave a crater. Lilith smirked as she spun around her staff and was about to finish her off.

Eda stood up, and grasped her arm, "Lily, wait. The curse," When Lilith saw Eda's face, she stopped spinning her staff and her expression softened. "Look at me. Look at my face. The curse is worsening and I can't keep up with it. I don't know how much time I have left." Luis and Lucia looked at each other wondering if what Eda's saying was true.

Lilith then walked up to her sister, and looked sympathetic, "I'll admit, I was surprised when I first saw you today."

"I just had to see my sister for...possibly the last time." The two humans widened their eyes at Eda's confirmation of the two of them actually being related.

"Eda, I—" Lilith began before a bag of Hex Mix was thrown into her face causing her to yelp. She stares at the bag and then growls as she sees Eda running away.

"It's been fun, but let's call it a draw!" Eda called out as she ran out the door. Lilith just gave an angry shout at her.

Up in the stands, Lucia and Luis deadpanned at the fake display of sentiment, "And those two are sisters." Luis looks up at his own as they share a look of disbelief. "Is she sure that it's by blood, and neither of them were adopted?" He asked.

"Either way, it's enough to make me feel sorry for Lilith by how much of an embarrassment Eda is," Lucia confessed. Then after a moment, she thought of another possibility, "Then again, we just met Lilith today, so who's to say she wasn't the embarrassing one growing up? Heck, both of them might've been when they were kids." Luis rubbed his chin at how that might be possible.

"Ahem!" They heard Lilith clear her throat, and saw she was giving a disapproving look at them from the arena, "I can hear the both of you."

"Oh, well that is just embarrassing," Luis chuckled as he rubbed his head. "Force of habit must be catching up to us. Our apologies, but it's just hard to believe that an embarrassing scumbag like Eda is related to a success like you."

"We meant no disrespect, Lilith." Lilith was surprised by how they just bowed their heads before heading out.

Amity stared at the light orb and back at Luz for a moment, "That's nothing. A child could do a light spell." Luz's expression falls as she extinguishes the ball of light and turns away, scooping up her notepad. "But I've never seen it cast like that."

"It doesn't come naturally to me or my siblings like it does for you, so we've had to improvise," Luz explained as she held her notebook.

Amity then sighed before she spun a spell circle, and grabbed Luz's wrist and put it through it. Their hands glowed briefly before it went away, "The oath is unbound." She stood up and began to walk away.

"Did it work? Can we still learn magic?" Luz asked.

"Humans have no magical ability." Amity began before she looked back at the human, "But I doubt that'll stop you, your brother, or sister." She left the human girl.

"Here, she is." Luz heard Luis's voice and saw him and Lucia approaching her. "Hey, sis. How were things…with Amity?"

"Good…ish," Luz wasn't sure how to put it into words. "I'm not sure where the relationship will go between us from here. But the good news is, she undid the oath, so we can continue studying magic wherever we want."

"Well, that's a relief," Lucia smiled at that.

"Guys!" King ran up to her, and she bent down to him with a smile as her sister approached behind him. "Luz, you left me."

"Yeah. Sorry. Your legs are just so tiny," She walked her fingers in the air.

"And where were you two during all this?" King looked up at the others, and Luz looked up at them, wanting to know the answers too.

"We were still in the theater, watching a real duel displaying magic power between Eda and Lilith." She answered, and the two were shocked to hear that. "I have to say, I was impressed."

"Agreed," Luis nodded as they felt satisfied by what they saw. "It's just a shame our teacher hasn't shown any interest in using her talents to make a real living. If only she showed that kind of fortitude in… Well, life in general."

"I hear that." King agreed to what they were saying.

Luz shook it off, and focused on the small demon, "Should we get you more offerings?"

"Nah. That stuff just weighed me down." He waved it off and looked up at them, "But I have something for you three. And it's the best thing, because it's free, comes from my heart and I always have more than I need."

Luz gasped happily at what he meant, "Is it love?"

"Ugh! No," King denied before taking out a Covention Tote bag. "Tote bags!" He gave it to Luz and she had it wrapped on her arm as he stood on her shoulder, "And they have so many uses." He hopped into it, "Away, fair chariot. Away!" Triple LN smiled at the demon's antics.

Eda came from behind them, "We gotta go."

"How'd you get away from Lilith?" Luz asked Eda.

"Let's just say she—"

"She threw a bag of chips in her face and ran off," Lucia cut her off to answer, causing the Owl Lady to scowl.

"I had a joke ready, and you ruined it!" She yelled at the older girl.

She just smirked at the woman, "You're welcome."

"Eda..." Luz started off, and Eda glanced at her. "Do you ever think we'll be a true witch?"

"What? I don't know. Who's a true witch? These suckers?" She points to some of the witches behind her, "According to them, that means being in a coven, but I never joined one and I'm better than all of them combined. You gotta be your own witch."

"Our own witch," Luz smiled at the advice.

"I like the sound of that." Luis smiled with his sisters as they agreed.

"I think we can pull that off," Lucia fist-pumped her younger siblings.

"Now, let's go before my sister realizes I tied her pointy shoes together." Just then they heard Lilith screaming, "And that's our cue!"

"Sister?" Luz asked as the door opened.

"Yeah, you may find it hard to believe, but Eda and the coven leader of the Emperor's Coven are actually related." Lucia said to the young girl.

"For real?! Now that's a mysterious past payoff!" Luz said.

"Oh, you think that's all the mystery I got? Wait until you hear about my parents." Eda stated as they stepped outside, shocking Luz even more.

"What? You've got parents? I need to know more!" Luz exclaimed.

"You very much don't!" King retorted.

"Agreed." Luis told them, "Meeting just one member of Eda's family is more than enough."

"Ditto." Lucia comments, causing Eda to narrow her eyes at them.

"Why don't you guys tell me how you really feel?" The Owl Lady asked rhetorically.

"Because you don't wanna find out," Luis answered, then thought about the lack of spells they had for combat. "But I may be willing to change my opinion a little if you could do me a favor when we get home." Everyone was confused about the boy's sudden request.

Lilith then enters her dressing room, and trips over her tied laces on her face. She uses the table to stand up, "You make it so hard to want to help you, Edalyn," She grumbles. Her compact mirror on the counter opens, and she gasps as a small demon appears on it.

"Lilith, I see you let The Owl Lady get the best of your temper," She informed her in a not-so-pleased tone. "Just remember what Emperor Belos has promised to you."

Lilith looked away with a nod, "I will capture her, ma'am. You have my word."

"Very good." She smiled as she faded from the mirror.

Lilith looked at her reflection, "Your days are numbered, Edalyn."

Season 1 Outro

Luz, Luis, and Lucia are seen walking down a part of Bonesborough called Thistle Street. Lucia had her hands behind her head, as Luis's were in his pockets with his skateboard wrapped in his arm as they all looked around in amazement.

The trio then walked through the marketplace with various stalls in it, especially blinking meat with multiple eyes. The meat horrified Luz and disgusted the other two.

Luz was in the Slayground, kicking a Grudgby ball. In the background, Lucia was break dancing and Luis was showing kids how to do a handstand on his board.

They are now walking through the hallway of Hexside greeting Willow and Gus while Amity can be seen leaning on a pillar. Willow blushed at Luis as Luz raised her eyebrows at him and Lucia was nudging her brother knowingly.

Lucia is walking through the Bonesborough Library before the book Lucia was holding flew off. Her younger brother and sister were reading manga at a desk.

The trio walked through a dark part of the Boiling Isles forest with bones on the ground. Luz looked around with her hood on and a frightened expression as her siblings seemed prepared to fight anything that may come out.

Luis was lightly pushing his foot against the ground as he skateboarded along a river path of the Boiling Isles while his sisters were sitting by the river as they all looked at the Titan's skull. After a kickflip, he turned his attention towards the skull as well.

Triple LN are running through the forest, and arriving at the Owl House where King was chatting with Eda excitedly as Hooty watched them from the back with a happy expression. King and Eda noticed the trio and waved at them before the trio smiled back and ran toward them before the camera pans up, showing the clear purple sky.
