Chapter 59: CatNap DogDay Vs RebelRaven (Morris): Lives At Stake
Mr. Wolfgang meanwhile was running through town square when he came across Miss Delight who was on the ground with a twisted ankle. He went over to get her up.
"Apocalypse here got you as well, huh?" Mr. Wolfgang asked her while starting to find some shelter,
"Yes, it did…" Miss Delight replied while hopping on one leg from time to time, "All this running made me trip and fall and twist one of my ankles. It's not a good sight for me."
"By the way, you're Miss Delight, yeah? I think I taught one of your students in their 9th and 10th Grade years. I'm an English teacher, well, I used to be one. Now I'm a librarian."
"Yes, I am, and why did you stop teaching?"
"I don't know… I just didn't like the atmosphere I was in. The chaos from some students… Especially the 10th graders… But I had some kind-hearted students like DogDay."
"I know DogDay! I taught him from Kindergarten to 5th Grade! Same for his friends!"
"Kindergarten to 5th Grade? That's a lot of work."
"Believe me, it is."
"What school do you teach in? I was a teacher in Cunning Curiosity High."
"Lucky Learning Elementary School."
"Ah, that's the one some of my students were at."
Then, they heard an explosion as they saw some masked critters in black point their guns at them. Miss Delight was frightened.
"I'll take care of them!" Mr. Wolfgang said, "Can you try and stay put?"
"I'll try…" Miss Delight replied,
"Halt!" A voice shouted,
The masked critters in black stood aside in different directions for Miss BatBite to appear.
"Oh… Look who it is." Mr. Wolfgang said, sarcastically,
"Long time no see, old friend." Miss BatBite said as she got out her Duel Disk, "Duel me and if you win, I might let you and your new friend go."
Mr. Wolfgang took a deep breath and activated his Duel Disk.
"Gladly." He said,
Miss Delight was confused.
"Oh? Isn't this the card game these kids are into?" She asked, "They play this game a lot for fun."
"Yes, but at this time, the adults are playing this game for survival." Mr. Wolfgang replied,
DandyDragon and RatedRat meanwhile were hiding in a fast food joint.
"When will this end?!" RatedRat shouted with emotion,
"Stop complaining!" DandyDragon said, "It will only make it worse!"
Then, the back door was kicked down as Lenny LemurLaugh appeared.
"Did someone order up a jester?!" He shouted,
"Hell no!" DandyDragon and RatedRat both shouted,
"Here's a funny story to tell! A purple cat took a deck away from me after I lost a duel, but I got it back!"
"Purple cat?" DandyDragon said, "Wait, that's CatNap you're talking about!"
Lenny activated his Duel Disk while giggling with mischief.
"Well, guess I'm going to work." DandyDragon said as she activated her's, "Once again."
Bubba and his friends meanwhile were outside of Bubba's house and into the streets to find Holden. KickinChicken leads the way.
"Holden called me!" KickinChicken said, "And he told me to take you guys outside of our high school!"
"Cunning Curiosity, huh?" Bubba said,
"Yup, that's the one!"
Everyone then made it outside as Holden was running out from the exit door of the high school, out of breath.
"We're here!" KickinChicken said,
Holden looked at KickinChicken and his eyepatch.
"Good God, what happened to your eye?!" Holden said,
"Long story short, a masked critter stabbed me in that eye." KickinChicken replied, "What's going on?"
LabRat kicked the exit door down with masked critters in red and black appearing behind him.
"THAT is what's going on!" Holden replied as he ran back and hid behind Bubba,
LabRat smirked.
"Well, what do we have here?" He said, "CatNap and DogDay do have some friends."
"What did you do to them?!" Bubba shouted,
"You wanna know what I did? Duel me and I'll let you go and tell you what I did to your little friends if you win!"
LabRat then activated his Duel Disk.
"Fine." Bubba said as he activated his, "Have it your way."
Bobby then looked at the last pink pillar of light that was far away from where she and the others were at.
"If CatNap and DogDay are still alive…" She said with her hands folded together, "I hope they can break out of their current situation and take down this Morris guy that's causing all of this chaos."
CatNap and DogDay meanwhile were outside of a tall building where the final pink pillar of light is at from above.
"This is it." DogDay said, "This is where we meet the critter that took control of us."
"Yes…" CatNap said,
"Shall we head inside?"
"...Before we do so, can I say something?"
"What's up?"
"...I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier and for being frustrated."
"No worries, CatNap, I forgive you. Just try and leave that aside."
"Ok…"
"And by the way, once this is over, we can return to our normal life and maybe we can do something about your anger issues."
"Please do so, once this is done…"
CatNap and DogDay then looked back up at the building.
"Well, no more wasting time." DogDay said, "Let's get in there and end this apocalyptic hour together."
"Yes." CatNap said, "Let's do it."
CatNap and DogDay then head inside the entrance. They made their way up the spiral stairs as casual and as serious as possible. CatNap looked down at the machine used to power the final pink pillar of light. DogDay then looked above at the top floor, which is where he and CatNap will be headed to face Morris.
The two critters then finally arrived at the top floor as they were outside of the top room.
"Alright, for us." DogDay said,
"And for the rest of us in Crittopia." CatNap said as he and DogDay fist bump one another, "Let's go."
CatNap then kicked the doors down as Morris was seen in front of them.
"Morris!" CatNap shouted,
Morris turned back to CatNap and DogDay as he snapped his fingers to lower the roof of the pink pillar of light as the three critters were near the pink pillar's light shining up at the red sky below them and up close.
"So… You two are free from my control." He said, "And you decided to target me together."
"Why are you doing this, Morris?!" DogDay said, "What did all of us at Crittopia do to you?!"
"Heh heh heh… You all treated me like an outcast."
"That's not helping our question! You need to be more specific!"
"Be more specific? Ok, I'll do that. After dropping out of high school, I heard a voice. He told me that I would abandon my normal pathetic life to become one with him. I follow him as a Prince."
"A Prince?" CatNap said, "There it is again…"
"Yes and you two were my perfect candidates to help me by force. I hired a team and we all got to work on setting up The Hour Of Joy, one step at a time. Even though it only took a year, it was sure as hell worth it! And I hope it was worth having you two on our team as well, despite freeing yourselves from my control."
"It wasn't worth it you idiot!"
"Says the cat that dragged himself and his anger to my team!"
CatNap looked down, confused and disgust.
"Damn it…" He said,
"This is what you want, huh Morris?" DogDay said,
"Huh? DogDay?"
CatNap looked up at DogDay, who was in a different expression. CatNap has never seen his lifelong friend like this before.
"You want us to suffer only because you suffer?" DogDay asked Morris, "I know you have a heart of black, but your brain isn't as clear as day."
"Wh-Woah!" CatNap said, shocked,
"Just because some of us suffer in a certain part of our lives doesn't make us outcasts. Look at me, I've had a mother that manipulated me emotionally and mentally. I wasn't ready to cut her out of my life until my friends helped me after telling them what I was going through. Without them, I wouldn't be here doing your crappy tasks to make others suffer only because they had better lives than you. Maybe, just maybe. If you had some friends of your own and some common sense, then they would have helped out with what you're going through."
CatNap and Morris were frozen for a few seconds until Morris started clapping, slowly.
"Well, what a bunch of words from a happy-go-lucky leader like you." Morris said, "And you know what?"
"What?" DogDay wondered,
"I don't care."
"Figures." CatNap said,
"Don't pay attention to his words." DogDay said to CatNap, "If he doesn't care, then I'm gonna force him to care, the same way he forced us to be a part of this apocalyptic hour!"
DogDay activated his Duel Disk.
"...I'll help you." CatNap said as he activated his Duel Disk as well,
DogDay then looked at Morris.
"Well?" DogDay asked him,
Morris chuckled a bit.
"You want to force me to care?" He said, "Then try and defeat me!"
Morris activated his Duel Disk as things got serious between him and CatNap and DogDay. A tension filled in the air as this duel has lives at stake.
"Duel!" They all shouted to start the Duel,
Turn 1.
CatNap DogDay: 8000
Morris: 8000
"I will go first." Morris said, "And DogDay, formally known as Baldwin, I will make sure you regret your words."
"I'm no longer afraid." DogDay said, confident,
"...And I'm no longer alone." CatNap said, serious,
"CatNap, formally known as Theodore, you're gonna feel alone again when I send you two to Hell!"
Morris then draws his 5 cards to start the duel and his turn. He then noticed a familiar card as something glowed a bright pink on his free arm, being the mark of the hummingbird. He revealed his mark to CatNap and DogDay and chuckled menacingly.
"What?!" CatNap shouted, "Already?!"
"How?!" DogDay shouted, "We just started it!"
"I guess it was the luck of the draw." Morris replied, "Now then, let's begin this duel to determine the future of Crittopia the future of The Hour Of Joy."
Morris then played a Field Spell to start the duel and his turn.
"I'll start by activating the Field Spell, Mausoleum Of The Emperor!" Morris said, "With this Field Spell, I can Normal Summon a monster needed to be Tribute Summoned by paying 1000 or 2000 of my Life Points equal to the amount of tributes needed. And since this monster I have requires 2 tributes, I'm giving up 2000 of my Life Points!"
Morris then paid 2000 of his Life Points through Mausoleum Of The Emperor's effect, leaving him with 6000 Life Points left. He then took the card he wanted to summon in the air for the giant rock in the air to appear from the pink pillar of light.
"Oh great, he's already bringing it out!" CatNap said,
DogDay gulped.
"This…" He said,
Morris chuckled menacingly.
"Now, bare witness to the monster that will help me open the doors to The Hour Of Joy under my perfect rebellion!" He chanted, "I summon, Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu!"
Morris then played the card as the giant rock in the air exploded to reveal a giant black hummingbird with orange-yellow nazca lines around its body. The monster was Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu as it was Normal Summoned in Attack Position with 2500 ATK Points. It looked down at CatNap and DogDay, which gave them flashbacks to where it was Morris himself and that same monster that took CraftyCorn down and the sacrifice to occur.
Down below the streets of Crittopia, everyone was eying on Aslla Piscu no matter how far they are.
"That's the last Earthbound Immortal…" Bubba said with his friends while dueling Lenny, "And it's the one that almost killed her… Crafty…"
"HA HA!" LabRat shouted, "MORRIS WILL STAND STRONG!"
"Look at the size of that thing!" RatedRat shouted while she and DandyDragon were inside the fast food joint as DandyDragon was dueling Lenny, "It's as big as the other giants!"
"Oh? Interesting…" Lenny said, "Morris has already brought out his Earthbound Immortal."
"Ah…" Mr. Wolfgang said as he, Miss Delight and Miss BatBite were watching Aslla Piscu from town square,
"This card game has took a serious approach." Miss Delight said,
Miss BatBite chuckled menacingly.
"Excellent work, Morris." She said, "Whoever is dueling you, finish the job."
Back up to CatNap and DogDay as they looked above at Aslla Piscu.
"There's no denying it." CatNap said, disgusted, "It was you and that monster that almost took CraftyCorn's life."
"I can't believe it…" DogDay said, shocked, "And now we're gonna be fighting this thing…"
CatNap looked at DogDay who was then scared.
"DogDay…" He said,
Morris then sets a card in his Spell and Trap Zone.
"I set a card face-down and end my turn." He said, "Good luck trying to take my Aslla Piscu down. For it is Immortal, and cannot be targeted by your attacks."
It was Turn 2.
CatNap DogDay: 8000
Morris: 6000
CatNap then turned to a frightened yet emotional DogDay.
"DogDay, listen." CatNap said,
DogDay turned to CatNap.
"You know better than this." CatNap said to him, "And I understand how much CraftyCorn's sacrifice also affected you."
"Wh-Really?" DogDay said, softly,
"Really. Aside from me, she's also your best friend."
"You're right. Whenever I feel down, not only are you always there, but also her. You two have always given me advice to keep moving forward…"
"Yes, that's true."
"...Why didn't I share my emotions more often? I know Bubba has feelings for her and all, but…"
"It's always ok to express your emotions. It doesn't matter what level of relationship you're in with Crafty, she's your best friend. She's my best friend too. We all need to be there for one another. No matter how difficult life can get, I know you can put yourself back up and get back to winning a race that you started."
CatNap then puts his hand on DogDay's right shoulder.
"We're gonna be best friends, no matter the obstacles we face." He said to him, "No matter what."
DogDay shed a tear as he then smiled.
"CatNap…" He said, "Your words…"
DogDay closed his eyes, wiped his tears and got happy again.
"They motivate me!" He said, "I haven't seen you done that in years!"
CatNap chuckled a bit as he backed away with an arm on his hip on the same side.
"Yeah…" He said, "Anyways, where's the real DogDay at? I want my motivated leader to take the wheel for this turn!"
"I'm right here!" DogDay said as he pointed to Aslla Piscu, "And I'm gonna start by taking down this giant bird and Morris for revenge and to save this world!"
DogDay then places his fingers on the top card of his deck.
"Here… I…" He said as he drew to start Turn 2, "GOOOO!!!"
DogDay's sun collar charm started to shine as CatNap smiled while Morris covered his eyes.
"What now?!" He shouted, "Those two didn't even do anything and now one of their charms started to glow!"
DogDay looked at the card he drew and reveals it.
"I'll start by activating the effect of The Bystial Lubellion!" He said,
"Bystial?!" Morris said, "No… He's got new cards?!"
DogDay then sends The Bystial Lubellion from his hand to his Graveyard.
"By sending this card from my hand to the Graveyard, I can add another Bystial monster from my Deck to my hand!"
DogDay then adds another Bystial monster and reveals it.
"And that will be Bystial Magnamhut!" He said as he then added it to his hand and revealed another monster from his hand, "Now for the effect of my Ascator, Dawnwalker!"
"There it is!" CatNap said,
DogDay then discarded Weeping Idol from his hand.
"By discarding a card, I can Special Summon not only Ascator, Dawnwalker, but also the Tuner monster Fire Ant Ascator from my Deck!" He said,
Ascator, Dawnwalker was Special Summoned in Attack Position with 2300 ATK Points where Fire Ant Ascator was Special Summoned from DogDay's deck in Defense Position with 1300 DEF Points.
"Now, I tune my Level 3 Fire Ant Ascator with my Level 5 Ascator, Dawnwalker!" DogDay said,
"Yes…" Morris said, "Synchro Summon, I dare you."
A Synchro Summon has started with the Level 3 tuner Fire Ant Ascator and the Level 5 non-tuner Ascator, Dawnwalker.
"Shine high up in the sky that's always the limit!" DogDay chanted, "Synchro Summon!"
A familiar Synchro monster with 4 dragon heads coming out of a sun with a face on it emerges from the Synchro Summon.
"Shine bright, Level 8, Sun Dragon Inti!" DogDay shouted,
Sun Dragon Inti was Synchro Summoned in Attack Position with 3000 ATK Points.
"Welcome home, Inti…" DogDay said,
"What a welcoming party, but unfortunately, that will be cut short!" Morris said,
"Huh?"
"What is it now?" CatNap asked him,
"I reveal my face-down card, the Continuous Trap, Ultimate Earthbound Immortal!" Morris replied as he revealed the Continuous Trap, Ultimate Earthbound Immortal!"
Ultimate Earthbound Immortal was activated.
"What does that do?" DogDay wondered,
"Simple." Morris replied as he chuckled, "While an Earthbound Immortal monster is on the field, I can destroy 1 face-up monster on the field. So say goodbye to your Sun Dragon Inti!"
Sun Dragon Inti was then destroyed from the effect of Ultimate Earthbound Immortal.
"Damn it!" CatNap said, "He got your monster!"
"Don't worry." DogDay said, "I have another idea."
"Whatever that idea is, it has to help us!"
"I'm sure it will… But for now, I'm gonna have to stand strong."
DogDay then sets a card in his and CatNap's Spell/Trap Zone.
"I'll set this card and end my turn." He said,
"...I don't like this already." CatNap said,
"Very well, my turn!" Morris said as he drew to start Turn 3 and looked at the card he drew and put it in his hand, "Well, looks like I won't be needing that. Time for battle!"
The Battle Phase.
"DogDay, his Earthbound Immortal, can attack directly!" CatNap said, "And even when you had Sun Dragon Inti on the field, it cannot be targeted for attacks!"
"Shoot, now I don't know what to do…" DogDay said,
"Wh-What?! You just lost that motivation like that?!"
"Aslla Piscu, attack CatNap DogDay directly!" Morris shouted, "This is your friendship? All I see is a broken mirror that's still destined to crack!"
Aslla Piscu then screeched as its wings started to glow and shot out a glowing orange-yellow whirlwind at CatNap and DogDay, dealing 2500 points of damage to their shared Life Points, draining it to 5500. They were knocked back from the whirlwind created by Aslla Piscu.
"That was the first attack." Morris said, "Only three more attacks to go, and I'll be down with you two."
Morris then watches CatNap and DogDay slowly get back up.
"Urgh… You ok, DogDay?" CatNap asked him,
"No…" DogDay replied as he was down again, "I screwed up. I'm sorry…"
"Don't worry, you'll make up for it later. For now, I'm taking the wheel."
"How?"
"Just watch, ok?"
"Ok…"
Morris then chuckled.
"Hurry up and think about your plan, CatNap." He said, "I will end my turn."
"Good." CatNap said as he and DogDay were fully back up, "It's my turn."
CatNap draws to start Turn 4.
Turn 4.
CatNap DogDay: 5500
Morris: 6000
As CatNap drew, his charm representing the moon on his long tie started to glow as well.
"Alright, here I go." He said as he played a Spell Card, "I activate the Spell Card, Branded Fusion!"
"A Fusion Summon under Lenny's cards, huh?" Morris said as he chuckled again, "Classy."
"What's also classy is me using whatever I Fusion Summon to help me take down your giant hummingbird! And by the way, that clown's deck has found a better owner, me."
CatNap then sends Fallen Of Albaz and The Golden Swordsoul from his Deck to the Graveyard he and DogDay shared.
"And now I send Fallen Of Albaz and The Golden Swordsoul as the required LIGHT monster for this Fusion Summon!" CatNap said as he started to chant while the Fusion Summon occurs, "Brand yourself under a raging fury to help awaken your true power! Fusion Summon!"
A red dragon has slowly appeared out of the Fusion Summon.
"Awaken, Level 8, Albion The Branded Dragon!" CatNap shouted,
Albion The Branded Dragon was Fusion Summoned in Attack Position with 2500 ATK Points.
"And Albion has an effect upon being Fusion Summoned!" CatNap said, "And that's the effect to Fusion Summon another Level 8 or lower Fusion Monster by banishing materials listed from my hand, field or in my Graveyard!"
"Oh?" Morris wondered, "Go on."
"I'm banishing Fallen Of Albaz from my Graveyard and Albion The Branded Dragon from my field to bring out another powerful Fusion Monster on the field!"
Another Fusion Summon has occurred as Fallen Of Albaz and Albion The Branded Dragon were used as Fusion Materials.
"Shroud yourself under crystallized blades and unleash them under your full rage!" CatNap chanted, "Fusion Summon!"
Another dragon has appeared out of the 2nd Fusion Summon, but covered in crystals.
"Rebrand yourself under the blades of ice, Level 8, Mirrorjade The Iceblade Dragon!" CatNap shouted,
Mirrorjade The Iceblade Dragon was Fusion Summoned in Attack Position with 3000 ATK Points.
"Yes, Mirrorjade is back!" DogDay shouted with glee,
"Not for long!" Morris shouted, "I'll use Ultimate Earthbound Immortal's effect to destroy your Mirrorjade!"
"Not happening this time!" CatNap said, "From my hand, I activate the Quick-Play Spell, My Body As A Shield!"
My Body As A Shield was activated.
"What?!" Morris shouted,
"By giving up 1500 Life Points, I can negate the effect of a Spell, Trap or monster effect that would destroy a card on the field!" CatNap shouted as his and DogDay's Life Points went down to 4000.
Ultimate Earthbound Immortal was destroyed through the effect of My Body As A Shield.
"You saved your dragon!" DogDay said, "Good call, buddy!"
"Damn it!" Morris shouted,
"Damn indeed." CatNap said, "Now for Mirrorjade's effect to activate!"
CatNap then sends Brigrand The Glory Dragon from his Extra Deck to the Graveyard.
"By sending a Fusion Monster that mentions Fallen Of Albaz as material, I can banish a monster on the field!" CatNap said, "So say goodbye to your Aslla Piscu! Mirror Roar!"
Mirrorjade then roared as Aslla Piscu was slowly banished from play.
"NO! MY ASLLA PISCU!" Morris shouted, "AND I CAN'T USE ITS EFFECT SINCE IT'S NOT IN THE GRAVEYARD!"
"And unfortunately you can't!" CatNap said, "Prepare to get a taste of what's coming to you in the next turn! Battle!"
The Battle Phase started again.
"Mirrorjade, attack Morris directly!" CatNap shouted, "Branded Ice Blades!"
Mirrorjade then shoots out blades of crystals at Morris, dealing 3000 points of damage to him, leaving him with 3000 Life Points left.
"Yes!" DogDay shouted, "We're gonna win this one!"
During the aftermath of the attack, Aslla Piscu faded away like a phoenix fading away to ashes, but faded away into darkness instead of light. Then, red smoke came out of Morris's mask as he deactivated it and threw it aside and out of the tall building.
"Huh?!" CatNap said,
"W-Wait a minute…" DogDay said, "Did he just… throw away his mask?"
"Guess we're about to find out who Morris really is the whole time…"
The red smoke faded away as Morris's true identity was revealed. He was some sort of raven critter with feathers on his hair in the style of a mohawk. His face surprised CatNap and DogDay very much.
"N-No way!" DogDay shouted,
"It can't be!" CatNap shouted,
"RebelRaven?!" They both shouted,
RebelRaven smirked as he looked at the final pink pillar of light behind him.
"So you finally found out my true identity." He said, "And all it took was to get rid of my Aslla Piscu while the duel continued…"
CatNap and DogDay were serious.
"But I guess you two wanna know why I did all of this, huh?" RebelRaven asked them,
"Please do!" CatNap replied,
"Tell us everything!" DogDay replied,
RebelRaven chuckled.
"Alright then." He replied, "As you may know, I did go to the same high school as you, but I decided to drop out in the 10th grade."
"Why did you drop out?" CatNap wondered,
"Because school was shit! I always wanted to start a punk rock band, but I was lacking talent! And I was lacking in being part of society by having friends."
"And you were treated like an outcast, yeah?" DogDay wondered,
"Of course I was! People called me a freak! One time I was beaten up while working at a gas station!"
"And then what happened?" CatNap wondered,
"I heard a voice. I couldn't tell you who, but let's just say that he's my Prince."
"Your Prince, huh? What was his name?"
"...You want to know? Well, since I'm still standing as the last of the Dark Critters, I'll tell you anyway. His name is Prince Prototype."
CatNap gasped.
"The same one that took control of Mr. Wolfgang…" He said,
"Back to my story." RebelRaven said, "My Prince gave me dark powers to take down anyone that opposes me, being you shitheads."
"Of course it would be us…"
"What did we do to you?" DogDay said,
"I was friends with two of your buddies… KickinChicken and CraftyCorn…" RebelRaven replied, "I didn't know who to get rid of first, so I thought it would be nice to get rid of CraftyCorn first to test out these new powers while gathering what I needed for The Hour Of Joy to occur."
"And it worked… She was sacrificed under your powers, wasn't she?"
"Of course it did! And during that year, I went out and beyond to recruit those that respect me, mostly Sneaky Sal, or Seraphina as I called her. The two of us weren't using this red smoke or any needles to mind control anyone, so we stayed true to our word to one another."
"And you two were close friends?" CatNap wondered,
"Correct. Outside of my punk life, Sal respects me the most. The same goes for her friends, LabRat and Lenny LemurLaugh."
"She was friends with those freaks as well, cool."
"And what about those you kidnapped to become Dark Critters?" DogDay wondered, "Aside from us."
"Well, Howard, or Harriet, was a test of kidnapping someone to become a Dark Critter before you two." RebelRaven replied, "Winnie, or Wendall and BuffBuffalo, or Albert, wanted to join and be mind controlled by yours truly. We even went to fake Winnie and BuffBuffalo's kidnapping since they were in your high school as well…"
"You are insane." CatNap said, "Anyone else?"
"Miss BatBite, ever heard of her?" RebelRaven asked them,
"Yes, she used to be our old history teacher." DogDay replied, "Until she got fired for being inappropriate to the male students."
"Why have her on your team?" CatNap wondered,
"She and I are on the same boat in terms of being treated like freaks by your society." RebelRaven replied, "But in order for her to team up with me, I had to not only pay her 50 dollars…"
"But also?"
"But also to sleep with her."
"What the fuck?!" DogDay shouted in disgust,
"Dude!" CatNap shouted in disgust, "Aren't you young?!"
"I'm 18 and I just turned 18 a week before I met Miss BatBite, ok?!" RebelRaven shouted,
CatNap and DogDay sighed in relief.
"At least that's the consensual age here in Crittopia…" DogDay said,
"Thank God for that…" CatNap said,
RebelRaven then started to laugh menacingly. CatNap and DogDay looked at him.
"After all of that, I thought this Hour Of Joy was gonna go well under our Prince's commands!" He shouted, "But unfortunately, it didn't! Because of your friends and you two freeing from my control and reuniting with that unicorn that I almost killed, I was the last Dark Critter standing! And I'm about to make sure I am once I bring The Hour Of Joy under my feathers!"
CatNap and DogDay then prepared themself.
"Alright, you asked for it." CatNap said as he sets a card in his Spell and Trap Zone that he and DogDay are sharing, "I set a card and during the End Phase, I activate the effect of my Brigrand The Glory Dragon from my Graveyard. When it's sent there, I can add to my hand or Special Summon to my field another Fallen Of Albaz or a Tri-Brigade monster from my Deck."
CatNap then revealed Tri-Brigade Mercourier from his Deck.
"I'll just add Mercourier to my hand." He said,
CatNap then smirked after doing so.
"Now, I'll end my turn, so come on, I'm ready for you." He said, "Ready for you to unleash your rage the same way as I did."
RebelRaven then clenched his teeth as he placed his feathered fingers on the top card of his deck.
"It's my turn." He said as he drew to start Turn 5, "I DRAW!"

RebelRaven then played the card he drew.
"I activate the Spell Card, Pot Of Greed!" He shouted as he drew 2 from his card, "A simple card that lets me draw 2 from my Deck!"
RebelRaven then looked at his now hand of 5 cards and smirked.
"This is MY rebellion!" He said, "And I'll show you why it's part of me and my Hour Of Joy!"
"This isn't good." DogDay said,
"It really isn't." CatNap said, "But I'm sure we'll find a way out of this."
RebelRaven then revealed a monster in his hand.
"I'll start by activating the effect of Raidraptor - Bloom Vulture from my hand!" He said,
"Raidraptors!" CatNap said, shocked, "I remember that deck! You used to play that deck with KickinChicken a few times before you dropped out!"
"Well this Deck isn't the same as it was years ago! Now, if I control no monsters or if I control only Winged Beast monsters, I can Special Summon this card alongside another Raidraptor monster from my hand!"
Raidraptor - Bloom Vulture was Special Summoned in Defense Position with 1900 DEF Points.
"And the other Raidraptor monster I'll be Special Summoning from my hand will be Raidraptor - Fuzzy Lanius!" RebelRaven continued,
Raidraptor - Fuzzy Lanius was Special Summoned in Defense Position with 1500 DEF Points.
"Two Level 4 monsters on the field…" CatNap said, "You're gonna Xyz Summon, aren't you?"
"Read my mind like a book!" RebelRaven replied, "I overlay my 2 Raidraptors together to build the Overlay Network!"
The Overlay Network appeared as Raidraptor - Bloom Vulture and Raidraptor - Fuzzy Lanius were used as Xyz Materials for an Xyz Summon.
"For my first Xyz Summon as a part of my rebellion, I Xyz Summon, Rank 4, Raidraptor - Force Strix!" RebelRaven shouted,
Raidraptor - Force Strix was Xyz Summoned in Defense Position with 2000 DEF Points.
"Now to activate the effect of my Force Strix." RebelRaven said as he detached Raidraptor - Fuzzy Lanius from Force Strix to the Graveyard, "By detaching 1 Xyz Material from it, I can add 1 Level 4 DARK Winged Beast monster from my Deck to my Hand."
"Seems simple." CatNap said,
"Yes, it is…"
RebelRaven then added the monster Raider's Wing from his Deck to his Hand.
"And that will be Raider's Wing." He continued, "Now for the effect of my Fuzzy Lanius from my Graveyard, which lets me add another Fuzzy Lanius from my Deck to my Hand."
RebelRaven then adds another Raidraptor - Fuzzy Lanius from his Deck to his Hand.
"And now, when I control another Raidraptor monster, I can Special Summon my 2nd Fuzzy Lanius!" He said,
Another Raidraptor - Fuzzy Lanius was Special Summoned in Defense Position.
"And I still have my Raider's Wing in my hand, so I'll detach the other material from my Force Strix to Special Summon Raider's Wing!" RebelRaven continued,
Bloom Vulture was detached to the Graveyard from Force Strix as Raider's Wing was Special Summoned in Defense Position with 2000 DEF Points.
"Now for the 2nd Xyz Summon!" RebelRaven said, "I overlay my Raider's Wing and my 2nd Raidraptor - Fuzzy Lanius to rebuild the Overlay Network!"
The Overlay Network was formed again as another Xyz Summon took place with Raider's Wing and the 2nd Raidraptor - Fuzzy Lanius as Xyz Materials.
"I Xyz Summon this time, Rank 4, Raider's Knight!" RebelRaven shouted,
Raider's Knight appeared out of the Overlay Network as it was Xyz Summoned in Attack Position with 2000 ATK Points.
"Now for Raider's Knight's effect!" RebelRaven said as he detached Raider's Wing from it to the Graveyard, "By detaching 1 Xyz Material, I can Special Summon a Raidraptor Xyz monster 1 Rank higher than my Raider's Knight!"
"How many times is he gonna Xyz Summon?!" DogDay shouted,
"I guess as many as he wants!" CatNap replied,
"Once again, I'm rebuilding the Overlay Network as I overlay Raider's Knight to Xyz Summon a monster 1 Rank higher!" RebelRaven shouted,
Raider's Knight was used as Xyz Material, alongside its materials as the Overlay Network was formed yet again.
"For the 3rd Xyz Monster, I Xyz Summon this time, Rank 5, Raidraptor - Brave Strix!" RebelRaven shouted,
Raidraptor - Brave Strix was Xyz Summoned in Defense Position with 2500 DEF Points.
"Now for Brave Strix's effect…" RebelRaven said, "If it has a Winged Beast monster as material, I can add a Rank-Up-Magic Spell or Trap from my Deck to my Hand."
"A Rank-Up-Magic Spell?!" DogDay shouted,
"That's right!"
Raider's Knight was detached as Xyz Material as RebelRaven then added a Rank-Up-Magic Spell from his Deck to his Hand. But then, he looked at the card he drew and took a deep breath.
"This is it." He said, "This card will help me win this duel and achieve The Hour Of Joy at hand! I don't need my Aslla Piscu to help me! Instead, I'll use a monster more powerful than it!"
RebelRaven then revealed the card he added.
"I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Rise Rank-Up-Magic Raidraptor's Force!" He shouted as he activated it,
"That's not good." DogDay said, worried,
"Yeah, I have a bad feeling about this too." CatNap said, worried,
"Prepare for my rebellion to demolish you two!" RebelRaven shouted, "I target 2 or more of my Raidraptor Xyz Monsters on my field and in my Graveyard with at least 2 on my field, and I'll join them together to create an even powerful Raidraptor Xyz Monster!"
"But doesn't Raider's Knight have Raidraptor in his name?" DogDay wondered,
"That's true, but he is treated as a Raidraptor card! With Raider's Knight in my Graveyard, Raidraptor - Force Strix and Raidraptor - Brave Strix on my field, I'll be able to Xyz Summon a Rank 13 Raidraptor monster!"
CatNap and DogDay were surprised by what he said.
"RANK 13?!?!" They both shouted,
"That's impossible!" CatNap shouted,
"Unfortunately for you two, IT IS, because I can add them all up together for the Rank 13 monster to be inevitable!" RebelRaven shouted, "For the last time, I'm rebuilding the Overlay Network as I overlay my Force Strix, Brave Strix and Raider's Knight as Xyz Materials!"
The Overlay Network was formed again as Force Strix, Brave Strix and Raider's Knight were used as Xyz Materials for a Rank 13 Xyz Monster. It was so powerful that CatNap and DogDay had to cover their eyes. RebelRaven then started to laugh like a maniac.
"Unleash your inner rebellion and strike down anyone that dares to step in front of you!" He chanted, "And bring me closer to the hour that I dare crave under MY rebellion! Go! RANK-UP XYZ EVOLUTION!!!"
A powerful new Raidraptor Xyz monster has slowly emerged from the Overlay Network.
"Revolutionize your raid and inner rebellion, Rank 13, Raidraptor - Rising Rebellion Falcon!!!" RebelRaven chanted,
The new Raidraptor Xyz monster came out of the Overlay Network, spreading its purple mechanical wings full of electricity and screeches. It was Raidraptor - Rising Rebellion Falcon as it was Xyz Summoned in Attack Position with 4000 ATK Points. CatNap and DogDay were shocked as they were looking at a monster possible enough to be summoned.
"4000 ATK Points?!" DogDay shouted, "It's huge!"
"I can't believe he did it…" CatNap said, stunned, "A Rank 13 Xyz Monster…"
RebelRaven then looked up at his Rising Rebellion Falcon and smiled like he was in relief.
"This monster will definitely help me." He said, "Aslla Piscu has failed me, but I will let that slide if I win with my Rising Rebellion Falcon…"
RebelRaven turned to CatNap and DogDay.
"Now, I activate the effect of my Raidraptor - Rising Rebellion Falcon!" He shouted, "Upon Xyz Summoned, I can destroy as many cards you both control as possible!"
"What?!" DogDay shouted,
"But wait, it gets better! If my Rising Rebellion Falcon has 3 or more Raidraptor monsters with different names as materials, then you both take damage equal to the combined original ATK Points of the destroyed monsters! Although you only have Mirrorjade, it's enough for me to end this duel in the Battle Phase!"
"Not if I stop it!" CatNap shouted, "I activate the effect of Tri-Brigade Mercourier from my hand!"
CatNap then sends Tri-Brigade Mercourier to the Graveyard.
"Now I'll negate the effect of your Rising Rebellion Falcon!" He shouted,
Tri-Brigade Mercourier appeared to go to Rising Rebellion Falcon and exploded on impact.
"Did it work?!" DogDay shouted,
Suddenly, a wave of pink lightning came out of Rising Rebellion Falcon and destroyed everything CatNap and DogDay had and shocked them as well. CatNap's monster, Mirrorjade The Iceblade Dragon and his face-down card, Branded Expulsion were destroyed. DogDay's face-down card, Evenly Matched was also destroyed. The two critters were pushed away from the lightning that struck them as they were dealt 3000 points of damage, leaving them with only 1000 Life Points left. They were on the floor, weakened. CatNap slowly got up, angry.
"What the fuck… WAS THAT?!" He shouted,
DogDay slowly got up as well.
"It's effect wasn't negated from Mercourier?" He wondered, "How?"
The two then heard RebelRaven laughing a bit.
"Oh, what bait I've set up for you two!" He said, "In case you wanna know, my Rising Rebellion Falcon is unaffected by other cards' effects!"
CatNap and DogDay were shocked.
"No way…" CatNap said,
"A monster with 4000 ATK Points AND it's unaffected by the effects of other cards?!" DogDay shouted, "We're so done!"
CatNap and DogDay fully got up to their feet as they looked at Raidraptor - Rising Rebellion Falcon.
"Well, looks like you two are truly done for!" RebelRaven shouted, "Hope this experiment of forcing you two to become one of us was worth it! Battle!"
The Battle Phase started again.
"Go, Raidraptor - Rising Rebellion Falcon, attack CatNap and DogDay directly and end this duel to start MY Hour Of Joy and rebellion!" RebelRaven shouted, "REBEL'S RISING STRIKE!"
Rising Rebellion Falcon then went down to strike at CatNap and DogDay, but CatNap clenched his teeth and played a card from his hand.
"I activate Battle Fader's effect from my hand!" He shouted as he Special Summoned Battle Fader in Defense Position with 0 DEF Points, "I negate your monster's attack and end the Battle Phase!"
The Battle Phase ended as RebelRaven smirked.
"Oh? You want to delay your meetings with the devil?" He said, "Fine. I end my turn. Go ahead and try your best with whatever cards you have!"
Bubba Bubbaphant meanwhile saw the Rising Rebellion Falcon from a far, same for LabRat.
"What… is that?" LabRat wondered,
"That Earthbound Immortal was destroyed…" Bubba said, "And that Morris guy has a new monster?"
"That Morris… He somehow found a way to turn that duel into a rebellion he won't get rid of… I applaud him."
Turn 6.
CatNap DogDay: 1000
RebelRaven: 3000
DogDay looked at his deck, a little saddened.
"I don't know if I can continue on, CatNap…" He said, "That monster… It's too high to take down, and it's invincible."
CatNap looked at DogDay, worried.
"I appreciate the save from your Battle Fader." DogDay said, "But… We might as well raise the white flag while we're at it."
"No." CatNap said, "We're not giving up. We're not giving up when our lives are at stake."
"How?"
"Look at your hand."
DogDay looked at his hand. Super Polymerization was in his hand, alongside Bystial Magnamhut and Assault Synchron.
"Super Polymerization…" He said, shocked, "I have that card too?"
"Apparently so." CatNap replied, "Whatever you have, it's best to save that card for last."
"You're right… I need to dig deep for whatever bone I have buried and use it like a sword to slay a dragon in my way!"
"There it is again… Now, draw whatever card you got and just pray to God that it's enough!"
"I will!"
DogDay then placed his fingers on the top card of his Deck, closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Then, his sun charm collar started to glow again.
"Here goes." He said as he drew to start Turn 6, "I DRAW!"
DogDay then looked at the card he drew and smiled.
"This card came through." He said as he activated it, "I activate my Spell Card, Swords Of Revealing Light!"
5 swords made of light came down and blocked RebelRaven's side of the field.
"Oh, so I can't attack for 3 of my turns then, huh?" He wondered, "Fine, I can wait for the moment to come."
DogDay looked at his hand now.
"Ok, what's next?" He wondered, "There's got to be something I can do…"
"You still have Bystial Magnamhut." CatNap said, "Whatever that card does, it has to help out with at least something."
"I might as well use that card now, but who do I banish under its effect?"
"Do you need Sun Dragon Inti?"
"No… I don't even have Moon Dragon Quilla."
"Then banish that monster. I think your Bystial Lubellion is still important for this duel."
"It is, you're right. And I still have Super Polymerization for later, so I'm gonna use what I got for now!
DogDay then revealed Bystial Magnamhut from his hand.
"I activate Bystial Magnamhut's effect from my hand!" He shouted, "By banishing 1 LIGHT or DARK monster from either Graveyard, I can Special Summon Bystial Magnamhut from my Hand!"
Sun Dragon Inti was then banished from the Graveyard CatNap and DogDay shared.
"I'm sorry, Inti, but I have to use what I got for this duel!" He shouted, "So come out, Bystial Magnamhut!"
Bystial Magnamhut was Special Summoned in Attack Position with 2500 ATK Points.
"And when he's Special Summoned, I can add a Dragon monster from my Deck to my Hand during the End Phase of this turn!" DogDay said as he then smiled, "Now, for me to Special Summon The Bystial Lubellion from my Graveyard, and I'll do so by tributing a Level 6 or higher DARK Dragon monster I control! So I'll sacrifice Bystial Magnamhut!"
Bystial Magnamhut was tributed.
"Reborn and be free from the branded mines around you!" DogDay chanted, "So awaken, Level 8, The Bystial Lubellion!"
The Bystial Lubellion was Special Summoned from the Graveyard in Attack Position with 2500 ATK Points.
"And now for Lubellion's effect!" DogDay said, "I can place a Branded Continuous Spell or Trap from my Deck to my field, face-up!"
DogDay then went into his deck and searched for a Branded Continuous Spell or Trap to place on his field, face-up.
"And I know what card that will be." He said as he placed that card on the field, face-up, "The Continuous Spell, Branded Regained!"
"What good will that bring you?" RebelRaven wondered,
"Doesn't matter, I'm gonna make sure this battle is in my and CatNap's favor!"
DogDay then Normal Summoned a monster.
"I summon the Tuner Monster, Assault Synchron in Attack Position!" He said,
Assault Synchron was Normal Summoned in Attack Position with 700 ATK Points.
"Good call." CatNap said, "You didn't want to activate the effect to Special Summon and then take 700 points of damage!"
"Appreciate it, buddy." DogDay said as he then grew serious with a clenched fist, "Now, I tune my Level 2 Assault Synchron with my Level 8 The Bystial Lubellion!"
A Synchro Summon has started with the Level 2 tuner Assault Synchron and the Level 8 non-tuner The Bystial Lubellion.
"Play a melody that will bring this apocalypse under our favor to help end it all!" DogDay chanted, "Synchro Summon!"
A long white dragon appeared with 4 arms and tentacles growing out of it.
"Raise Hell, Level 10, Bystial Dis Pater!" DogDay shouted,
Bystial Dis Pater was Synchro Summoned in Attack Position with 3500 ATK Points. RebelRaven laughed a bit.
"So close!" He shouts, "Only 500 ATK Points away from matching the ATK Points of my Rising Rebellion Falcon!"
"I only need my monster out here for its effect!" DogDay said, "And that's Special Summoning a banished LIGHT or DARK monster back to my field! So come back, Fallen Of Albaz!"
Fallen Of Albaz was Special Summoned back to the field in Attack Position with 1800 ATK Points.
"And I won't be using Albaz's effect since it's up to CatNap now." DogDay said as he looked at his Super Polymerization, got serious and set it with CatNap nodding before he did so, "I set a card and end my turn. And now, I'll add a Dragon monster through the effect of Bystial Magnamhut."
DogDay then adds Bystial Druiswurm from his Deck to his Hand through Magnamhut's effect.
"It's your turn now." DogDay said to RebelRaven,
"Alright, I draw." RebelRaven said as he drew to start Turn 7 and looked at the card he drew and groaned, "I end my turn."
"Wh-Already?!"
"Yes, already! Go! I end my turn!"
"You heard him! Now it's my turn!" CatNap said as he drew to start Turn 8 with a glowing charm on his tie, "I draw!"
CatNap looked at the card he drew and activated it without hesitation.
"I activate Branded In White!" He shouted, "I'll Fusion Summon another monster, but this time I'll send Fallen Of Albaz from my field and Incredible Ecclesia, The Virtuous from my hand as the LIGHT Spellcaster monster needed as Fusion Materials!"
A Fusion Summon has started as Fallen Of Albaz and Incredible Ecclesia, The Virtuous were used as Fusion Materials.
"Free yourself from the branded curse and shine bright as a new purified dragon!" CatNap chanted, "Fusion Summon!"
A pure white dragon with yellow flames surrounded it shined bright.
"Shine bright under the ending act of the apocalypse, Level 8, Albion The Sanctifire Dragon!"
Albion The Sanctifire Dragon was Fusion Summoned in Attack Position with 3000 ATK Points. RebelRaven smirked.
"Come on, this is just ridiculous." RebelRaven said,
"Is it though?" CatNap wondered, "You can't attack us, and my Albion The Sanctifire Dragon cannot be targeted with card effects!"
"So what?! It's weaker than my Rising Rebellion Falcon!"
CatNap turned to DogDay.
"Can I?" He asked him as he looked at Bystial Dis Pater,
"Oh, sure!" DogDay happily replied, "Go right ahead, buddy!"
"Thank you! I activate the effect of my friend's Bystial Dis Pater!"
CatNap then brings back Albion The Branded Dragon in Attack Position again after it was banished.
"Where is this going?!" RebelRaven shouted,
"It's going to your downfall!" DogDay said,
"Yeah, do the honor, buddy!" CatNap said,
"I activate my face-down card, the Quick-Play Spell, Super Polymerization!"
Super Polymerization was activated as strong winds started to form. RebelRaven was shocked.
"NO!" He shouted, "IMPOSSIBLE!"
"That's right!" DogDay shouted as he discarded Bystial Druiswurm from his hand, "CatNap, tell him what we need for this one!"
"2 DARK Monsters on the field!" CatNap replied, "So we'll be fusing my Albion The Branded Dragon with your Raidraptor - Rising Rebellion Falcon!"
"IT CAN'T BE!" RebelRaven shouted, "NO! I REFUSE TO LOSE TO A CARD THAT'S CAUSED BY YOUR TRICKERY!"
"Unfortunately, you're gonna have to wake up and accept it!"
The Fusion Summon under Super Polymerization with Albion The Branded Dragon and Raidraptor - Rising Rebellion Falcon as Fusion Materials has started. CatNap and DogDay's charms started to glow as they raised their hands together.
"With your odd-eyes of starving venom that illuminates the darkness!" CatNap chanted,
"Become a part of the ending act to bring us to a new path forward!" DogDay chanted,
"FUSION SUMMON!!!" Both chanted,
A new Fusion dragon with plants around it appeared.
"Absorb away the poison that Hell has brought us, Level 8, Starving Venom Fusion Dragon!" DogDay chanted,
Starving Venom Fusion Dragon was Fusion Summoned in Attack Position with 2800 ATK Points.
"NO! MY RISING REBELLION FALCON, IT'S GONE!" RebelRaven shouted, "HOW?!"
"You said your monster was unaffected by other cards' effects!" CatNap said,
"And we found our answer to get rid of that thing!" DogDay said, "It was there without us noticing!"
RebelRaven then slowly grew insane.
"I REFUSE TO LOSE!" He shouted, "I AM THIS CLOSE TO MY HOUR OF JOY!!!"
"Unfortunately, you're gonna have to accept this loss." DogDay said, "Because this is for everything that you've done to us!"
"What he says!" CatNap said, "It's over and there's nothing you can do about it!"
"BATTLE!" They both shouted,
The Battle Phase started again, for the last time.
"Albion The Sanctifire Dragon!" CatNap shouted, "Sanctifire Scream!"
Albion The Sanctifire Dragon then screams out flames of holy light.
"Bystial Dis Pater!" DogDay shouted, "Branded Phenomenon!"
Bystial Dis Pater then used a dark crystal it was holding to shoot out a beam of dark magic that made contact with Albion's flames of holy light.
"Starving Venom Fusion Dragon!" CatNap and DogDay both shouted, "Venomous Fury!"
Starving Venom Fusion Dragon then spreads its wings to shoot out purple beams of magic from them and made contact with Albion's flames of holy light and Bystial Dis Pater's beam of dark magic and shot out a blast of energy fused as one at RebelRaven, who was backed up near the final pink pillar of light.
"NO! I REFUSE TO SEE MY DEFEAT!" He shouted as he was then devoured by the attack of the beams fused together, "URAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"
RebelRaven's Life Points went down to 0, making CatNap and DogDay the winner. Then, they saw the last pink pillar of light shine a bright white this time as it was shining brighter than ever.
"What's happening now?!" DogDay shouted,
"It's too bright!" CatNap shouted as he and DogDay covered from how bright it's becoming,
Bubba and his friends meanwhile saw what was happening from afar.
"N-NO! MORRIS!" LabRat shouted in fear,
"Dude, did you guys see it?!" KickinChicken shouted, "That new monster was fused with what seems to be one of CatNap's monsters!"
"I can't see what's going on!" Bubba shouted, "It's shining so bright!"
The light was shining so bright that it not only devoured RebelRaven, but also CatNap and DogDay.
"AHHHHH!!!" Both CatNap and DogDay shouted as their voices weren't present anymore,
