Chapter 19

Rose watched in horror as the Dutchman was pulled under into the spinning depths below. She was worried about Elizabeth, Will, and Jack. She hoped that nothing bad had happened to them.

Gibbs helped pull Elizabeth over the rail and then Jack.

Rose's eyes went wide seeing that Will wasn't there. Her heart sunk in her chest. Did that mean something happened to him? She couldn't bear something happening to Elizabeth's other half. It would be something that she wouldn't be able to happen.

"Thank heaven, Jack. The armada is still out there, the Endeavour is coming up hard starboard, and I think it's time we embraced that oldest, noblest of pirate traditions." Gibbs said to Jack.

"I've never been one for tradition." Jack said shaking her head. Jack moved towards the wheel. "Close haul her! Luff the sails and lay her in irons!"

"Belay that! We'll be a sitting duck!" Barbossa shouted.

"Belay that belay that! Belay it! Stow it! Stow it, stow it, belay, belay, stow!"

Gibbs watched the Enddeavor move into position against them. "Didn't figure for it to end this way. Always pictured an angry husband."

"Reasonable." Jack said to his friend.

Suddenly the Flying Dutchman appeared sailing on the other side no longer encrusted clean slate grey.

"Full canvas!" Jack yelled.

"Aye full canvas!" Barbossa shouted.

Rose saw Will on the deck. Her heart clenched in her chest.

The two ships trapped the Endeavour between the two of them.

"FIRE!" Will shouted from the Dutchman.

"FIRE!" Jack yelled.

Rose took a sharp breath as the two ships open fired on the Endeavor. Her hand went to her chest as she gripped onto her shirt as the Endeavor was fired upon.

James came up beside her and wrapped his arm around her as the ship splintered apart from the cannon fire.

Rose's lips quirked a little bit as the ship sank into the water below. She could hear the cheering from all the pirates around them.

"They're running!" Marty shouted noticing that the armada was running away.

"Aye, they're terrified to take on the combined might of the Dutchman and the Pearl!" Gibbs mused with a smile.

"I've never seen a retreat from the other side before. Gibbs, you may fling my hat."

Gibbs took Jack's hat and threw it in the air. "Hurray!"

"Now go and get it."

PIRATES

Elizabeth slowly went to the longboat that they had set up for her.

Barbossa nodded his head to Elizabeth.

"Your chariot awaits. Oars are inside."

"Mrs. Turner." Barbossa said offering the young woman a smile.

Elizabeth nodded her head.

Jack stood next to the longboat.

"Jack Sparrow. It would have never worked out between us."

"You keep telling yourself that." Jack said with a smile.

Rose watched with a worried gaze knowing that this wasn't going to be easy on Elizabeth. But she knew that she was going to have to make a promise to watch out for her sister and who ever was to come along after this.

James came up beside Rose and wrapped his arm around her.

Rose looked up at James.

James's lips quirked into a small smile.

Rose watched her sister begin to row away from the ship to spend time away from the crew and spend much needed time with Will.

"Hard price to pay." James said softly looking out at the sea.

"Ten years out on sea and one day upon the shore…" Rose said softly as the wind blew through her hair. "She'll be alone…"

James let out a hum and shook his head. "No, she won't be alone." James mused softly.

Rose looked up at him blinking a few times wondering what he meant. "She won't?"

James shook his head. "No, we'll be there for her."

Rose's cheeks flushed slightly knowing that was very true. They would be there for her sister no matter what and if the time spent with Will was a time of passion they would help Elizabeth raise the child. "Really?"

James nodded his head. "Really. You two have been through so much… I don't see it any other way." He said softly stroking her side softly.

Rose took a soft breath as she looked out to the sea. "She'll have a lot of regrets." She said softly biting her lower lip softly.

"Don't we all?"

Rose took a soft breath and nodded her head knowing that was very true. They did have a lot of regrets. But the regrets they couldn't live with forever. They just had to keep moving forward. She just hoped that her sister would be able to move forward without Will there with her.

This is the end of Chapter 19. I know it is a bit on the short side. I do apologize for that, but there wasn't much more that I could add to this chapter. I hope that you guys enjoyed it though. I tried my hardest to write it all out. Please leave a review and let me know what you think of this chapter. Reviews help me keep going when it comes to writing. The next chapter is probably going to be on the short side as well since it is the ending of this story. Perhaps not the series… I'll figure that out soon enough. I hope to have the last chapter out shortly. Until next time.
