Prompt: "Timing is key."

"Says the one that's always late."

Ra's face was grim as she followed Jacob and Cassandra back through the Back Door and into the Annex. She sighed as she shut the door firmly behind them, talking over her shoulder to the room as she did so. "We have an even bigger problem than we originally thought."

"She's right." Jacob shook his hands out as he looked over at where Jones and Baird were sitting at the workroom table. "Santa's not missing. He was grabbed."

Jones nodded as he began to explain what he was doing. "Alright, the local surveillance cameras use Wi-Fi, so I popped open the hard drives. There's no sign of him on here."

The Archivist scoffed as she moved to stand next to Baird. "There wouldn't be, seeing as who took him."

Jacob nodded in agreement. "People who grabbed him had tattoos. Joe Blakes. Snakes."

Baird's eyes widened at that development. "The Serpent Brotherhood."

"It's him."

All of the team looked at Cassandra, whose eyes had yet to leave the picture that Jones had up on the computer. After a moment, they all gathered behind her to see an older man pictured there. Jones was the first one to decide to question the math genius. "Him who?"

"From the Serpent Brotherhood." Ra groaned as Cassandra continued. "You all met Lamia, but I'm the only one who met him. He's the boss. Um, Dulaque."

The moment that Cassandra spoke the name, Ra's eyes widened in recognition of the name. She could have sworn she recognized it from The Legend of King Arthur. Before the Archivist could put this idea forward, however, the sound of glass shattering echoed through the workroom. The source of the sound was quickly discerned as Jenkins spoke in (what sounded like) disgust. "Dulaque? Of course that's what he's calling himself. Of course."

Ra shared a concerned look with Baird before the latter decided to address the Researcher. "Uh, quick question, Jenkins. What the hell are you talking about?"
Jenkins, it would seem, had decided to default back to his cryptic deflections. "If Dulaque and the Serpent Brotherhood have Santa, at least we know what happens next. Dulaque kills him. He kills Santa Claus."

The Archivist sighed before speaking. "Alright. That just means that we have to ensure we find them before that happens. Timing is key."

"Says the one that's always late."

"Jenkins, enough. Acting like that will not help your friend. Let's get to work."
