Hey guys, Cath here. So... Fire is having a "little" trouble with his computer trying to break itself in every way known to man and a few that aren't, so he might not be uploading as often as y'all are used to till its fixed. (Fire is the coauthor for this work.)
Chapter 1- Izuku
Izuku blinks rapidly, confused as to what just happened. One moment he was destroying the Zero Pointer and the next he's…. Where is he actually? He takes a moment to look around an old, half destroyed temple, with a feeling like he should be remembering something yet can't put his finger on what exactly it is. This feeling is amplified when he turns around to see the absolutely giant statue of some Goddess, who looks extremely familiar, illuminated by the sunshine streaming down through the sparse clouds and through the destroyed ceiling.
Izuku shakes his head and starts to walk towards the entrance, jumping a bit at the sounds of his own footsteps, and freezing in place when he sees a shortish, red goblin looking figure stalk into view, sniffing around and idly swinging a club around. The red goblin-thingy swings its head towards izuku before letting out a screech that is probably supposed to be a battle cry. Izuku backpedals as he hears a faint voice in his head, almost like the whisper of a barely remembered dream, telling him to use his quirk, to fight, it's why he's here.
Izuku pulls upon One For All, immediately feeling a difference in his body as it is almost forcefully circulating around his body, and at a much, much lower output than he would have used otherwise. The goblin-thing swings the club in a wild, telegraphed move that even a child could predict, and so Izuku lunges to the side to try and dodge, and sends himself flying farther than anticipated. As he tumbles across the ground the goblin-thing looks around dumbly for his prey for a few moments before finding Izuku once again and charging at the green haired boy once more.
Izuku blindly scrambles back until his hand lands on a fist sized piece of rubble and throws it at the red goblin-thing desperately. The piece of rubble streaks through the air and for the first time Izuku realizes he is covered in faint red veins of power and viridian lightning sparks across his skin. His attention is snapped back to the goblin-thing as it screeches in pain, scrabbling for its club.
Izuku dives for the club, ripping his shirt on the rubble on the ground, and manages to snatch it from the goblin-thing's hand. The green haired boy swings it wildly, hoping to hit the red goblin-thing, even as he hopes he doesn't kill it by accident. The wild swing connects with the goblin-thing's chin and sends it stumbling back.
"S-stay back." Izuku demands, obviously shaken by the fight. Even so he lifts the club for a second swing, absently noting that the red power viens and viridian lightning are still dancing across his skin, and wishing he could afford to just watch them for a while.
While Izuku is distracted the goblin-thing gathers itself and throws a wildly telegraphed punch, which lands, sending Izuku staggering back with a hiss of pain. The forest haired boy swings the club in his hand desperately, and is astonished when he hits the goblin-thing in the head, causing it to explode into a noxious smelling purple smoke.
Izuku falls to the ground, mentally and physically exhausted. Looking back into the decrepit temple in shocked horror that he killed something. Something that could very well have been sapient! The flow of power over his skin and in his bones starts to flicker away, gradually disappearing and leaving Izuku with a distinct feeling of cold and loss.
