In a simulation at Leo Corporation, Reji is about to test the refined prototypes of his Pendulum Cards.
"Using Scale 1 DD Magical Savant Galilei and Scale 10 DD Magical Savant Kepler, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Reji says as the refined versions appear in the scales.

"With this I can simultaneously summon multiple monsters from Level Two to Nine! Grand power which shakes my very soul, arise within me and give birth to a new light that rends the darkness! Pendulum Summon! Come before me, my monsters! The three transcendental deities who rule over all kings... DDD Death Great King Hell Armageddon!" Reji chants as his renewed monsters appear.

"Pendulum Summoning confirmed! Summoning energy levels are stable!" the technicians confirm.
"Good! If it can stabilize at this stage..." the lead technician says.
As his monsters hover above him Reji imagines facing Yuya and her Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon.
"Yuya Sakaki..." Reji mutters as he is about to pick up the last card in his hand.
"President! We have cleared today's benchmarks! Our experiment this time was a success!" Nakajima says, making Reji sigh in relief.
Back in his office Reji sits at his desk, with Nakajima standing in front of him.
"Congratulations, sir. We are now one step closer to creating our own Leo Corporation Pendulum Cards." Nakajima tells Reji.
"However, they are still incomplete. Compared to the original Pendulum Cards Yuya Sakaki possesses... there is a far gap between their activation energy output." Reji points out as he puts the energy readings he has collected from Yuya's cards on screen next to the ones from his cards.
"As they are now, they're far from being usable in the tournament." Reji says as he fixes his glasses.
"Yes sir, my apologies! I will make sure the research department resolves this! We will do whatever it takes to make them usable in the tournament." Nakajima vows.
"That is the deadline. We cannot underestimate our competition... in the tournament that will be taking place in this city. No matter where our opponents may come from." Reji says as he sits up and looks out the window.
At You Show Duel School Yuya is sitting in the duel field lost in thought.
"Big sis Yuya has been sitting like that for a while now... And she seemed so happy yesterday talking about the fact that she only needs two more wins to qualify for the tournament... Maybe her brain is all shivered out from all those quizzes?" Ayu, Tatsuya and Futoshi say as they look at her.
Yuya at that moment thinks about her conversation with Nico the night before.
"Allow me to congratulate you again on your second victory Yuya." Nico told her over her duel disk.
"Thanks. But you don't seem very happy even when you're saying congratulations..." Yuya points out.
"Oh, I'm happy! You learned proper hospitality from the Cooking Duel. Then, you learned that Duels are a communication tool from the Quiz Duel... And managed to rack up successive wins! I can say that this is a good start for my project of getting Yuya Sakaki into the Junior Youth Championship." Nico exclaims.
"Then why aren't you getting more happy about it then?" Yuya asks.
"That's your job." Nico tells her.
"My job?" Yuya questions.
"Entertaining people comes first for Pros! If you're aiming to be a Pro Duelist, you have to surprise and steal the hearts of your audience! All while earning a raucous applause! As you are right now, you're only within my expectations." Nico tells her.
"Within your expectations...?" Yuya mutters.
"Being able to surpass your audience's imagination is the mark of a pro! I hope that in the next Duel you'll allow me to experience the same!" Nico exclaims.
Back in the present Yuya growls frustrated and lets herself fall onto her back.
"Being able to surpass their imagination is the mark of a pro huh...?" Yuya muses.
"That's right... When Dad first took to the skies during his Action Duel, they often said the crowd had their hearts stolen too..." Yuya says as she remembers Reji's praise of her fathers exploits.
"Reji Akaba... He surprised me too." Yuya says as she remembers Reji Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and even Pendulum summon.
"That's not it either... he also..." she mutters remembering his declaration that he knows the next evolution of Pendulum summoning.
"Further possibilities of evolution for Pendulum Summoning... Using it to further the other summoning methods... my use of Ritual Summoning confirmed that suspicion... But there is more to it... why can't I see it?" Yuya questions frustrated as she takes her pendant and lets it swing above her head.
She then gets up and leaves the duel field.
In another room Shuzo is drawing cards from a dispenser.
"383! 384! 385! 386! 387! 388!" Shuzo says as Yuya comes in.
"I don't understand! I don't understand what should I do principal! I can see a part of it but the bigger picture still eludes me! What can I do to see it?" Yuya asks, hoping for some advice, while Shuzo keeps drawing.
"The road is long! But don't give up! You have to take it one step at a time! Pressing forward step after step! You have to go onward!" Shuzo tells her as he keeps drawing.
"But if I can't see the path I can't go forward! What should I do to be able to see it?!" Yuya asks him.
"I can't see it either! Not at all! Even though we've come this far together! Right now I can't see my daughters heart at all!" Shuzo says with tears in his eyes.
"Huh? Daughter?" Yuya says, realizing he is not going to be helpful at all.
"Well, big sis Yuzu hasn't come to Duel School recently, has she?" Ayu points out sweat dropping.
"She is with Sora again today?" Futoshi asks.
"Yeah, if I remember this is their fifth match." Tatsuya confirms.
At the same time at another duel school Sora's opponent has just ended his turn.
"Cool, so cool! That was really interesting! You might give Yuya's Entertainment Dueling a run for its money!" Sora exclaims, amused by his opponents antics.
"Hey stop messing around and draw already! You're going to end it this turn!" Yuzu tells him partly annoyed of him comparing Yuya's dueling to his opponents.
"Fine fine... But recently, it seems like you've been really excited... Oh well." Sora tells her.
"My turn, Draw!" Sora begins his turn.
"Alright here it is Edge Imp Scissors!" Sora exclaims.
"I've been showing you all my cards so far, so you know what's in my hand, right? What should I do next?" Sora asks Yuzu.
"It's obvious! You use the Fusion card in your hand and fuse the Edge Imp Scissors and Furnimal Bear in your hand!" Yuzu points out.
"That's it! Looks like you've got it now, Yuzu!" Sora tells her.
"From my hand, I activate the Magic Card, Fusion!" Sora exclaims as Yuzu mimics his movements.
"The monsters I choose to fuse are Edge Imp Scissors and Furnimal Bear! Claws of demon, Fangs of the beast! Become one and reveal a new form and power! Fusion Summon! Appear, horrifying beast that shreds everything! Death-Toy Scissors Bear!" Sora chants in sync with Yuzu as she keeps mimicking his movements.

"I attack directly with Death-Toy Scissors Bear!" Sora declares in sync with Yuzu, as the attack connects and he wins the duel.
"All right, that does it! The fifth one was a pushover too. Well, I'm glad that Yuzu is learning how to use Fusion properly, so it's all good." Sora exclaims as he glances toward her.
"I won't think about unnecessary things anymore! I have to completely master Fusion Summoning for the Junior Youth Championship! In order to defeat Masumi Kotsu!" Yuzu says with determination, her anger rising at the last part.
At the same time at LDS lobby.
"Hey Masumi, are you going to go out searching today too?" Yaiba asks her.
"Of course! I have to find that black-masked man and ask him about Professor Marco!" Masumi exclaims.
"But is that guy really the culprit?" Yaiba questions.
"You haven't seen him using Xyz, have you?" Hokuto asks.
"That's why I need to find him and see if he uses Xyz with my own eyes!" Masumi declares as she turns around and leaves.
"Man, she really is stubborn..." Yaiba comments.
"Don't let her catch you saying that or she'll send you flying." Hokuto warns him.
"But she is right though. If we don't find the culprit fast, the situation is only going to get worse." Yaiba points out.
"Yeah, it's been rumored that some top members of LDS are being taken out." Hokuto exclaims.
"Eventually they might show up in front of us-" Yaiba says before Gongenzaka stands in front of him apparently brimming with rage.
"Wh-what do you want!? You wanna go?! You wanna face me again?!" Yaiba questions intimidated as he gets into a fighting stance with his wooden katana.
"I, the man Gongenzaka, have a request for a fellow man!" Gongenzaka says as he drops to his hands and knees.
"Wha huh?!" Yaiba babbles, even more shocked by this turn of events.
Meanwhile Masumi enters the alleyway where Yuya ran into Shun.
She looks around but is unable to find anything until a falling stone catches her attention. Looking up she sees the marks Shun's monster left on the overpass, making her blood run cold.
"That's...? This is where members of the top team were..." Masumi thinks shocked, barely able to think at all.
"What are you doing over there!" someone yells at her snapping her back to reality and she flees in fear.
"It can't be... Professor Marco was attacked by that kind of monster?" Masumi thinks scared for her teacher.
Later at the harbor.
"You could have ended the Duel one turn earlier! Your opponent's monster only had 1500 Attack points. Instead of summoning Furnimal Bear you could've summoned Furnimal Lio with 1600 Attack points..." Yuzu points out as they walk toward the warehouses.
"I knew that I just wanted to show you Fusion Summoning. It seems like you didn't get it last time, after all." Sora exclaims.
"I've got Fusion down now! I've gotten enough practice too! All that is left is to polish my skills in a real match!" Yuzu declares confidently.
"Well, aren't you confident. Then I guess I should have you show me your Fusion Summoning. I've been wanting to have another match for some time now." Sora tells her.
"You're on!" Yuzu replies as they reach warehouse 35. Though they are stopped by Masumi.
"You're... Masumi Kotsu!" Yuzu exclaims surprised to see her.
"Do you know what's going on inside Maiami City right now?" Masumi asks them.
"What do you mean?" Yuzu asks her.
"The repeated assault incidents by a mysterious duelist." Masumi exclaims with a rather grim tone.
"Repeated assault incidents?" Yuzu questions shocked.
"All of the victims are connected to LDS. But none of them can say what actually happened... Because all of them have disappeared." Masumi explains.
"Disappeared...?" Yuzu mutters while Sora seems completely uninterested.
"They're all gone! Professor Marco and members of the LDS top team... They were all attacked and never seen again... This is just a rumor from within LDS, but... Please! Tell me where I can find him! You know don't you!? Masumi begs her, confusing Yuzu.
"The one who was with you back then, the black-masked man!" Masumi elaborates.
"If I had caught him then... I could've been able to prevent the incidents after that! It's all because you let him get away!" Masumi says, her desperation shifting to rage.
"You can't be serious... I don't know anything..." Yuzu protests.
"Don't lie to me! Professor Marco has disappeared! The kind and strong Professor Marco has...! He might be suffering right now! That's why I have to find him as soon as possible! Hurry up and tell me where he is!" Masumi yells with tears in her eyes, having lost control of her emotions.
"I already told you, I don't know!" Yuzu protests.
"Then why were you with him at the scene of the first incident!?" Masumi counters.
"If you're going to insist on feigning ignorance, then...! Then as a Duelist, I'll force an answer out of you!" Masumi declares as she pulls out her duel disk.
"An LDS Fusion Summon is no problem at all for you now. You could take her out in a jiff!" Sora tells Yuzu.
"You're saying I should accept her challenge?" Yuzu asks him.
"Yeah, and besides, you've been saying for a while now that you've had enough practice, and all you need now is to polish your skills in a real match." Sora points out, as Yuzu takes out her duel disk.
"Who's going to be taken out in a jiff!? Did you forget that she lost to me!" Masumi exclaims.
"Well, she almost had you, and the Yuzu here now is on a different level from back then." Sora says.
"How is she different?!" Masumi asks not getting it.
"She understands that LDS Fusion Summons aren't actually a threat now." Sora tells her with a wink, infuriating her.
"Those words are an insult to Professor Marco who taught me Fusion Summoning! I won't forgive you! I'll beat some sense into you first!" Masumi declares as she directs her rage toward Sora.
"Huh? You want to Duel me? I don't think you should, you'll just hurt your confidence more." Sora shrugs her off, uninterested in her challenge.
"Shut up! LDS is the strongest! I'll make you never forget it!" Masumi declares.
"You're LDS!?" a voice questions filled with rage.
Everyone is shocked as Shun rushes forward, pushing Yuzu aside, making her fall to the ground along with her duel disk which spills her cards all over the ground.
"If you're LDS... then I'll be your opponent!" Shun declares as he activates his duel disk.
Masumi is stunned and Sora frowns at the sight of Shun while Yuzu starts getting up, and finally sees the person that knocked her down.
Shun takes a step forward making Masumi back away a bit in fear.
"Are you... the culprit of the repeated assault incidents?" Masumi asks through her fear.
"Now, face me!" Shun simply says ignoring her question.
"Duel me!" he exclaims enraged seeing Masumi paralyzed in fear.
"Stop it, Shun!" the Phantom Knight user shouts at him as he jumps off the roof of a warehouse and grabs his arm while landing.
"Stop being so reckless!" the Phantom Knight user says as he restrains Shun while everyone watches in shock.
"Yuto!" Shun addresses him.
"I thought I told you before that this isn't our battlefield! I told you they aren't our enemies!" Yuto says as he takes off his mask.
Shun flings his arm out of Yuto's grip and pulls down his scarf.
"This is MY battlefield! In order to get Ruri back I have to do this! If you're going to get in my way, I'll defeat you too!" Shun yells at Yuto.
"I've found the culprit behind the assault incidents. Send backup, Yaiba, Hokuto!" Masumi contacts her friends over her duel disk, making everyone look at her.
"Wait! We don't know if he's the culprit yet!" Yuzu tells her.
Shun turns around and his eyes widen in shock when he sees Yuzu.
"Ruri!" Shun says making Yuzu back away a bit.
"Why is Ruri here...?" Shun mutters to himself and takes of his glasses.
"Did you get away?! Did you manage to escape on your own!?" Shun says as he approaches Yuzu, confusing the girl.
Right before he reaches her though Yuto steps up and punches him in the stomach rather hard.
"Ruri..." Shun says one last time.
"She is not Ruri." Yuto tells him as Shun falls unconscious and Yuto puts him over his left shoulder.
"Contact LDS and send as many people as possible!" Masumi tells her friends over her duel disk.
In the streets Yaiba and Hokuto are running toward her location.
"Understood, Yaiba is on it right now!" Hokuto tells her over his duel disk.
"That's right, they're at the Southern Warehouse District within the city!" Yaiba tells the LDS over his duel disk.
A bit further away Yuya is reading a dueling magazine.
"Even Yuzu is trying to learn Fusion from Sora... She is pressing forward while I am stuck. Just what should I do?!" Yuya mentally questions herslef.
A second later Hokuto runs into her and they both fall to the ground.
"You're-!" they both say recognizing each other.
"Yuya Sakaki!" Yaiba finishes for Hokuto.
"You're not even apologizing when you're the one who ran into me!?" Yuya asks Hokuto.
"You should also learn to be more aware of your surroundings!" Hokuto retorts.
"That's enough Hokuto! Let's go!" Yaiba snaps him back to the matter at hand.
"Did something happen?" Yuya asks as she gets up.
"We found the culprit of the assault incidents. The mysterious duelist!" Yaiba explains, shocking Yuya.
Back at the harbor Yuto leans down and picks up Yuzu's Fusion card to look at it.
"This card doesn't suit you." Yuto tells her as he holds the card over his right shoulder so she can see it.
"Huh?" Yuzu exclaims in confusion.
"Well, isn't that too bad. I don't like hearing that about presents I give to people though." Sora says catching Yuto's attention.
"I wouldn't mind showing you just how amazing that card is though!" Sora provokes him as his face twists slightly.
"Hey!" Yuzu tries to stop Sora, while Yuto just glances at him, and Sora returns the look.
"Cut it out Sora! And you too!" Yuzu tells them as she steps between them.
"Masumi!" Hokuto yells as he Yaiba and Yuya get closer.
Seeing them Yuto takes a leap backward while activating his duel disk. He takes out a card and slams it on it causing a black lightning storm to from around him while the towering shadow of a black dragon with violet eyes looms behind him. The dragon roars to the skies and an energy shockwave is unleashed around it making everyone cover their eyes. When it stops they look again and to their shock Yuto and Shun are gone without a trace.
"Masumi!" Hokuto says as he reaches her.
"What was that just now?" Yaiba asks.
"He disappeared..." Masumi says in shock, while fear of what she just saw is edged into her voice.
"Yuzu, are you okay?" Yuya asks concerned as she reaches her.
"Those people kept saying I am and I'm not Ruri..." Yuzu mutters.
"What are you talking about?" Yuya asks confused.
"I don't know! I don't know what is going on anymore!" Yuzu says as she starts crying and buries her head in her hands.
"Yuzu..." Yuya mutters concerned for her as she reaches toward her, though she stops when she sees Yuzu's cards on the ground.
"Why're they thrown around like this..." Yuya mutters as she starts picking them up.
"Looks like you're worried for Yuzu as well. But also scared of that black thing... seems like I'm not the only one who got a bad feeling from it." Yuya thinks as she senses the feelings of Yuzu's monsters and remembers the cold feeling she got when she saw the thing that created the shockwave before.
"Here." Yuya says as she hands Yuzu her deck and duel disk, though Yuzu still seems to be out of it.
"LDS is here!" they hear Yaiba say as Masumi runs toward them.
"I'm sorry. The culprit was just here!" Masumi says as she approaches them.
"Well, looks like things are going to get troublesome... You should hurry too, Yuya." Sora tells her as he starts pushing Yuzu away from there.
"Y-Yeah!" Yuya says as she is about to head off.
"Hey! I heard you need to win two more matches to enter the Junior Youth Championship." Yaiba tells her making her stop.
"Huh? Why do you know that?" Yuya asks him.
"Well, good luck, although it might be impossible for you." Yaiba tells her before he leaves.
"What? Impossible?! You-!" Yuya says offended.
"Yuzu? Sora?" Yuya asks as she looks around realizing that they already left right before something catches her attention.
"This is a card Yuzu forgot to pick up, isn't it...?" Yuya mutters to herself as she picks up the card.
"Fusion..." she mutters as she looks at it.
Later that night in a dark room.
"Everyone is rushing around in a panic to qualify for the Junior Youth Championship, but I'm just fine." a girl wearing a black cloak says to herself as she puts seven cards on the table in front of her.
"Because my fortune-telling has foretold me winning six matches in a row starting tomorrow! And so..." she says as she flips over one of the cards.
"Th-this is-!" she stuters as she sees the card being Arcana Force VI - The Lovers, and falls backward off her chair with a slight nosebleed.
"I-I'm going to meet my fated person!? Oh no! Whatever shall I do?" she says excited as she gets up.
At the same time Yuya is sitting on the floor in her room looking through her deck while thinking about her prior conversation with Nico.
"Even if you tell me that, I don't know what to do!" Yuya groans as she falls onto her back.
"It's no use. I can't see how I'm going to do this... What I'm going to do in the future, or what truly lies beyond Pendulum Summoning..." Yuya exclaims as she turns to her side.
"This card... I better hurry up and return it to Yuzu." Yuya says as she picks up the Fusion card she found earlier.
The next morning.
"So noisy..." Yuya grunts half asleep as the barking of one of her dogs starts to wake her up. Two seconds later said dog lands on her face before jumping onto a ball.
"What the heck..." Yuya says now fully awake.
"I overslept!" she exclaims panicked as she sees the time.
"Crap, I'm going to be late for the duel!" she exclaims as she quickly changes clothes.
"My cards, my cards!" she says as she starts picking up those on the ground.
"Did I leave them on top of my desk?" Yuya wonders as she looks for the rest before hitting her head on the bottom of her desk causing half her deck to fall to the ground.
"Not now of all times!" Yuya exclaims.
Meanwhile at Unno Divination School.
"Soon my fated person will be coming here, won't they? I wonder what kind of person they are... A cool elite duelist?! Or maybe wild and strong!? Or it might be a kind one with family values!" Mieru squeals in the middle of the dueling field.
"Hurry up and get here my fated person!" Mieru exclaims inpatient.
Meanwhile Yuya runs toward the address Nico gave her.
"Uhh, this should be the address Nico gave me, but this is..." she exclaims as she stops in front of the location, which looks like a castle out of a horror movie.
"Unno Divination School?" Yuya reads as she stops in front of the gate.
"Yuya!" Nico says as he suddenly appears in front of her wearing a black cloak.
"A ghost!" Yuya yelps as she gets scared and takes a step back.
"Oh, it's just Nico..." she realizes after a second, feeling embarrassed.
"I've been waiting for you Yuya." Nico says as he turns around and opens the gate.
"Why are these stairs so dark?" Yuya asks as they head downward.
"Yuya be sure to watch your step." Nico warns her.
"Yeah... I kno-" Yuya is about to shrug him off but slips and falls all the way down landing on the dueling field.
"Ow... Jeez what is with this place?" Yuya questions as she raises her head only to accidentally look under Mieru's dress.
The girl in question is flustered and embarrassed, while Yuya is freaked by her situation, all the while in the stands Tatsuya sweat drops while Ayu and Futoshi look at Yuya with a condemning look.
"Y-y-y-you... Lucky pervert!!" Mieru yells as she smacks Yuya's head with her crystal apple.
"Unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable! To think someone like that is my fated person...!" Mieru mutters angrily as she walks away from Yuya but then pauses.
"But wait a minute... Up until now, I've predicted everything with fortune-telling... When I'd lose my way... on my test... and even today's weather!" Mieru thinks as she remembers those times.
"My fortune-telling has never once been wrong. Then does that mean this time too...?" Mieru thinks.
"Umm, excuse me..." Yuya says, back on her feet, snaping Mieru out of her thoughts.
"What do you want loudmouth?!" Mieru yells at her for interrupting her thoughts.
"Um... can we start the Duel soon?" Yuya asks.
"I know! I'll do it! I'm going to Duel to divine whether you're my fated person or not!" Mieru declares.
"Everyone thank you for waiting! The official match between the shocking Entertainment Duelist Yuya Sakaki, and the Infallible Fortune-Telling Girl, Mieru Hochun will now begin!" Nico starts announcing as he flings off his cloak revealing his usual outfit.
"With that Unno Divination School's Principal, if you would!" Nico says as he hands the spotlight to her.
"Fate is predetermined. But people passing through the ages are unable to accept this. Fortune-telling is a light meant to guide them. That in itself is a microcosmos of life." the principal exclaims and snaps her fingers.
"Action Field On! Field Magic, Fortuneterror!" the principal says as the action field is generated, a temple like tower structure with levitating crystal orbs and stone platforms.
"There's something carved into those pillars!" Futoshi points out.
"Death, The Magician, The Hanged Man... They're engravings of Tarot cards!" Tatsuya says as he recognizes them.
"It makes it look so... mystical!" Ayu says excited.
"We're going to Duel here...?" Yuya questions as she looks around.
"That's right! I'm going to determine if you are my fated person with my infallible Divination Duel." Mieru declares.
"Wait you keep saying fated person... what do you me-" Yuya tries to question confused but
"We're starting!" Mieru says as she holds up her crystal apple.
"Duelists locked in battle!" Mieru starts
"K-kicking against the earth and dancing in the air alongside their monsters! They storm through this field!" a still confused Yuya continues
"Behold! This is the newest and greatest evolution of Dueling!" Mieru says
"Action!" Ayu, Tatsuya and Futoshi finish
"Duel!" "Duel!" Yuya and Mieru say as the action cards are dispersed and the duel begins.

"Shall we determine who goes first with a coin toss?" Mieru asks holding up a gold coin, surprising Yuya.
"Heads is a dragon, tails is a demon. If you choose correctly, I'll allow you to go first." Mieru says as she shows Yuya the coin and flips it into the air.
"Now, which is it?" Mieru asks as she catches it.
"Um... um... I've got it! It'll be the dragon!" Yuya declares.
"To bad, it's the demon." Mieru tells her.
"As I suspected, you're a pitiful person who has no foresight." Mieru says.
"I just guessed wrong on a 50/50!" Yuya says, not understanding her opponent.
"I'll be going first with my ability to see what lies ahead! I set a monster face down in defense mode." Mieru says as she jumps onto a flying orb and sits on it while her monster is set.
"What? Face down defense mode?" Yuya questions, not expecting that move.
"Not knowing what's going to be summoned is creepy..." Ayu exclaims getting nervous.
"I end my turn with that." Mieru says.
"What? You're ending it with just that?!" Yuya asks surprised.
"When this card is revealed, your fate and mine will be made clear." Mieru says.
"No seriously, what is this "fate" stuff you keep going on about?" Yuya asks wanting answers.
"Eventually you will understand. Now it's your turn, but you can't see what lies ahead." Mieru simply tells her.

"You have something you're worrying about, don't you?" Mieru asks her already knowing the answer.
"Worries? How can you tell that?" Yuya asks her.
"Just now, in the coin toss, you chose the dragon. That is an expression of you desiring a strong power that will break you out of your current situation. Right now, you are at a standstill, unable to see where you can move forward." Mieru explains as the orb she is sitting on starts floating upward.
"It' true that I am stuck... I can't see what truly lies beyond Pendulum Summoning... But right now, I have to put my all into this Duel...!" Yuya thinks.
"Draw!" Yuya exclaims as she draws.

"I knew it." Mieru muses.
"Huh!? She didn't Summon a single monster let alone set any cards!" Futoshi exclaims in shock.
"What's wrong with big sis Yuya?" Ayu questions.
"Don't tell me she bricked!" Tatsuya realizes.
"In times like this, I need... an Action Card!" Yuya says as she jumps from the plattform she was on and runs up some stairs.
At the same time at the warehouses.
"I'm sure it was somewhere around here... Where did it go?" Yuzu says looking for her lost card. Though just then her duel disk rings.
"Hello?" she asks as she picks up.
"Yuzu! Where are you and what are you doing!?" Sora shouts from the other line, so loud that Yuzu has to hold her disk away.
"Wh-what did you ask me..." Yuzu asks.
"I'm going to win my sixth qualification match for the Junior Youth Championship today, so you need to be here to see it!" Sora exclaims.
"Yeah, but..." Yuzu tries to say.
"No buts! Hurry up and get over here!" Sora demands intimidating her.
"All right!" Yuzu says shell shocked.
Back with Yuya.
"My turn, Draw!" Mieru says as she starts her turn.

"At this moment, Coinorma's Flip Effect activates!" Mieru exclaims.
"Flip Effect?" Ayu asks confused.
"It's an effect that activates when a monster is flipped face up. Monsters who have that effect are called Flip Monsters." Tatsuya explains.
"When Coinorma is Flipped face up, I can set a Level Four or lower Flip monster from my hand, Deck or Graveyard. And so again, I'll set this card!" Mieru explains as a card is ejected from her duel disk and she instantly sets it.
"Face down defense mode again!" Yuya observes.
"Let's have Coinorma predict your future as you run around aimlessly." Mieru says as Yuya runs off, and Coinorma tosses her coin.
"Heads, Tails, Tails. That means you will soon have to make a fateful decision." Mieru says explaining the result.
"Big sis Yuya's field is empty right now!" Tatsuya says.
"If she doesn't do something, she's going to eat a direct attack!" Futoshi exclaims.
"If she could get an Action Card..." Ayu says.
"Battle Phase! I make a direct attack with Coinorma!" Mieru declares as her monster flies toward Yuya.
"Found one! With this I should be able to-!" Yuya says as she spots an action card but stops when she reaches it
"There are two cards!" Yuya observes.
"You can only have one Action Card in your hand, this is your fateful decision!" Mieru says.
"Which is it... This one!" Yuya says as she grabs one, but
"Great Misfortune?!" Yuya exclaims when she sees the action trap.
"The Action Trap, Great Misfortune deals you 800 points of damage." Mieru explains, not surprised by the outcome.
The action trap activates in Yuya's hand exploding and blasting her a few platforms down.

"The chance of drawing Great Misfortune on this Field is one in tens of thousands. You must have some horrible luck." Mieru exclaims, right before Coinorma runs her coin over Yuya's face.

"The divination hit the nail on the head!" Ayu exclaims shocked.
"It's not over yet!" Mieru says as Coinorma returns to her side.
"I now release Coinorma and Advance Set a monster!" Mieru exclaims as her monster is released and another face down appears.
"An Advance Summon in face down defense mode too...?" Yuya observes as she gets up.
"That's right, this is a card that represents your unknown future. I set one card and end my turn!" Mieru declares as her facedown materializes.
"Alright, this time! My turn!" Yuya says as she draws.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you. When unlucky ones like yourself attempt to do something, it never ends well." Mieru warns her.

"Battle Phase! I attack the first set monster with Entermate Handsome Liger!" Yuya declares as her monster charges forward, sword in hand.
"I activate my Trap, Glare of the Black Cat!" Mieru says as with a snap of her fingers the trap activates and a horde of black cats glare at Yuya.
"She got glared at by black cats, that's bad luck!" Ayu exclaims.
"And thirteen of them too!" Futoshi adds.
At that Handsome Liger starts falling to the ground.
"When I have two or more monsters in defense mode, Glare of the Black Cat ends my opponent's Battle Phase!" Mieru explains.
"No way...!" Yuya says before she falls forward.
"I tripped over nothing...!" Yuya realizes.
"See? I told you that it would never end well." Mieru points out.
"All I did was fall over!" Yuya retorts.
"But you had all these black cats glare at you. You truly must be unlucky!" Mieru tells her.
"I end my turn!" Yuya says frustrated.
"To think you'd ignore my good advice and do something so meaningless..." Mieru says as she leaps of the orb and moves to the fields edge.
"That's enough. As I thought, you aren't my fated person after all! Prepare yourself because I'll erase you without a trace!" Mieru declares.
"There she goes saying whatever she wants again..." Yuya mutters as the whole fated person thing gets old.

"Following that, I Flip Summon the monster I Advance Set earlier! You're up, Prediction Princess Crystaldine!" Mieru says as her second monster is flipped face up.

"When Crystaldine is Flip Summoned, I can add one Ritual Monster from my Deck or Graveyard to my hand. The Ritual Monster I will add to my hand is, Holy Prediction Princess Tarotrei!" Mieru explains as the card is ejected from her duel disk.
"If she's added a Ritual Monster and Ritual Magic to her hand, then..." Tatsuya notes as he, Ayu and Futoshi realize what Mieru's plan is.
"I'll have Crystaldine predict your fortune..." Mieru says as her monster starts glowing and Yuya is reflected in its crystal orb.
"Dark clouds of an enormous power are enveloping you..." Mieru says what she sees in the crystal orb.
"I activate Holy Divination Ritual!" Mieru says as she activates her card and eight blackish crystal spikes are blasted into the fields ground, right before a stone pillar with a coffin in the middle falls on top of them.
"With its effect I can release the Level 4 Arrowsylph and Level 5 Crystaldine! The total levels of the two released monsters is 9, which means a Ritual Summoning of the Level 9 Holy Prediction Princess Tarotrei is possible!" Mieru explains as her monsters turn into flames that surround the coffin, right before a red light surrounds the pillar and the coffin is burst open by a red energy pillar.
"Priestess of ancient times who foresees everything! With the ancient description, now be revived! Ritual Summon! Level 9! Holy Prediction Princess Tarotrei!" Mieru chants as her monster appears.

"I sense that your dragon in the center has an aura of fear and uncertainty emanating from it. The elephant is a marker of great power, and the bird reflects your feelings beginning to improve. But the scorpion shows there are obstacles at your feet, and the snake shows that it is a very clever obstacle at that. In other words your future holds a large failure, and after that your future becomes engulfed in darkness!" Mieru explains.
"A large failure..." Yuya mutters.
"Big sis Yuya! You shouldn't listen to that divination!" Tatsuya tells her.
"But she's been right on everything up until now!" Ayu exclaims.
"This occult stuff is giving me the shivers!" Futoshi says as he panickily wiggles around.
"If that's my future, then... I'll change it!" Yuya declares with unwavering determination.
"Big sis Yuya!" Tatsuya cheers at that.
"Fate is already predetermined." Mieru says with a smirk.
"When Partnaga is Normal or Special Summoned, I can target one monster I control and increase its Attack points by 300 for every Entermate monster I control!" Yuya explains as her monster forms a chain that connects all her monsters to Odd-Eyes.
"Big sis Yuya has four Entermates on her field!" Tatsuya observes.
"So Odd-Eyes gains 1200 Attack points!" Yuya explains as her dragon powers up.

"The card Tarotrei has shown is The Tower in Upright Position. The meaning this card holds is collapsing, falling and disaster." Mieru explains.
"Just stop! If you continue what you're doing, your life will be at risk!" Mieru declares shocking Yuya.
"Her life will be at risk...?" Ayu repeats in shock.
"That's ridiculous! She's just saying nonsense to throw her off!" Tatsuya exclaims.
"But Yuya is in a shiver-inducing pinch right now! All of her Pendulum Summoned monsters have been forced into Defense mode. And because of Petalelf's effect, she can't change their modes this turn. On top of that since she did a full field Pendulum Summon her hand is empty!" Futoshi points out.
"She really is in a life or death situation!" Ayu exclaims panicked.
"It's true I don't have any options right now, but I still have my monsters! As long as they are by my side I can still fight!" Yuya thinks.
"It seems you're still willing to fight! But if you don't wany to be seriously injured, hurry up and surrender!" Mieru declares.
"What're you talking about, getting seriously injured during a Duel? I end my turn!" Yuya says.
"So you don't intend on stopping... My turn, draw!" Mieru observes as she starts her turn.

"They're face down again!" Ayu observes.
"The defense points of all monsters on Yuya's field is less than 2600... Any of them could be destroyed by Tarotrei!" Futoshi and Tatsuya exclaim as Yuya braces herself.
"With that I end my turn." Mieru declares surprising Yuya.
"I have no reason to attack you now. After all, your fate has already been decided." Mieru exclaims as she turns away from Yuya.

"Next, I activate Prediction Princess Petalelf's effect! This card changes all monsters my opponent controls to Defense Mode, and they cannot change their mode for the rest of the turn!" Mieru explains as her monsters blows petals at Odd-Eyes, switching it back to defense mode.

"I knew it..." Yuya grunts in frustration.
"That means Yuya's monsters will remain in Defense Mode this turn too!" Tatsuya exclaims.
"So she can't attack this turn either!?" Futoshi panickily realizes.
"Furthermore, I activate Prediction Princess Ouijamorrigan's Flipp effect! At the end of this turn, it will destroy all of my opponents monsters that are in Defense mode! Then, it will deal 200 points of damage to my opponent for each monster destroyed this way!" Mieru explains as her monsters sword grows bigger, shocking Yuya and her friends.
"So the reason she didn't attack last turn was to make this effect deal more damage!" Tatsuya realizes.
"My victory was decided ever since I Set my first card on the Field!" Mieru declares.
"Th-There's no way that's..." Yuya stutters in disbelief.
"No, there is. Do not avert your eyes look at the truth presented in front of you! The fate of destruction that awaits you!" Mieru declares.
"My own fate..." Yuya thinks as she remembers everything that happened to her during this duel.
"You can still make it. To save yourself from your own destruction, surrender now." Mieru exclaims.
"Fate... destruction..." Yuya mutters.
"This won't do... She's being entrapped by a fortune-telling opponent. Yuya needs to break the mold and show me an unexpected Entertainment Duel!" Nico thinks as he observes her.
"Allowing this Duel to continue is dangerous. Yes, my divination tells me this as well. We should have stopped them as soon as possible. You truly cannot defy fate." members of the duel school say to each other.
"I set one card and end my turn..." Yuya says as her facedown materializes.
"At this moment, Ouijamorrigan's Flip effect destroys all your monsters! And you take 200 times 5, 1000 points of damage!" Mieru explains as Yuya's monsters are destroyed and she takes damage.

"Now do you understand? I'm saying this out of concern for you. If you continue struggling like this, you'll do something that can't be undone!" Mieru exclaims.
"It doesn't matter what I say, does it?" Mieru asks as she sees the look in Yuya's eyes.
"My turn, Draw!" Mieru says as she starts her turn.

"I activate Tarotrei's effect! All Flip monsters on my field are put face down in Defense Mode! Full sleep!" Mieru explains as her flip monsters get set again.
"The card I just set, Entermate Call, allows me to negate a direct attack... And add Entermate monsters from my Deck to my hand whose Defense points are equal to the Attack points of the monster whose attack was negated. With Petalelf and Ouijamorrigan face down, the only one who can attack me now is Tarotrei. With this I can fend off a direct attack and add another monster to my hand..." Yuya mentally reviews her situatuon.
"Didn't I tell you to stop struggling?" Mieru asks snapping Yuya out of her thoughts.
"Let me divine the consequences of your actions with this Action Card." Mieru says as the platform she stands on starts flying upward to an action card.
"This is...! I activate the Action Magic, Draw Lock! Until the opponent sends an Action Card to their Graveyard, they cannot draw!" Mieru explains as she activates the card and a chain binds Yuya's duel disk.
"Draw sealing!?" Yuya observes shocked.
"The cards themselves are telling you to stop fighting against your destiny. I won't criticize you, just surrender." Mieru tells her.
"If I give up here, my path to being a pro will... I don't want that!" Yuya exclaims as she runs off to find an action card.
"It's come to this, and she's still... If this is how it's going to be, then I have to end this duel as soon as possible! I set one card and end my turn!" Mieru declares as her facedown materializes.
"The card I set, Reverse Reuse, is a Trap Card that allows me to Special Summon two Flip monsters from my Graveyard to my opponents field in face down Defense mode. When I activate this, I can use my Petalelf and Ouijamorrigan combo to end this Duel for sure. I can end it without fulfilling that prophecy!" Mieru thinks certain of her victory, while Yuya runs up the tower structure and a link in the massive chandelier above them snaps.
Meanwhile at another duel school.
"I will now make a direct attack with Death-Toy Scissors Bear!" Sora declares singing slowly in opera fashion while wearing a royal gab.
"With that, my life points are zero!" Sora's opponent sings as he is hit by the attack.
"I did it, that was six wins!" Sora cheers happily, now back in his usual attire.
"Congratulations! Now you're qualified to enter the Junior Youth Championship!" Yuzu congratulates him.
"Well, for someone of my ability, this was a given." Sora says, not surprised by his success.
"Umm, actually, Sora..." Yuzu tries to tell him.
"Alright, let's go! If we don't hurry, Yuya's Duel will be over!" Sora cuts her off as he grabs her arm and starts running.
Back with Yuya.
"My turn!" Yuya says as she runs up the tower structure.
"Due to the effect of Draw Lock, you can't Draw!" Mieru reminds her.
"I already know that! Bu still, I will...!" Yuya retorts as she leaps for a higher walkway.
"Stop this already! Continuing this Duel will not benefit you in anyway! Give up already! Don't you hear me telling you it's dangerous!?" Mieru exclaims, as Yuya sights an action card on a pillar and runs toward it.
The chains shatter and the chandelier above begins to sway, causing stone from the ceiling to fall down. Yuya leaps for the action card as chandelier completely breaks and falls down on Yuya, Burying her underneath the rubble. A cloud of smoke erupts making everyone cover their eyes. When they look back they see the destruction and gasp in horror.
But when the debris starts moving they gasp in surprise to see Yuya reemerging from it.
"Action Magic, Miracle!" Yuya presents the card as she stands up.
"Alright!" Tatsuya, Ayu and Futoshi cheer.
"You did it Yuya!" Ayu exclaims.
"Shivers!" Futoshi says as he wiggles around.
"It can't be... Her fate changed? She overcame her life threatening crisis with a miracle!?" Mieru observes shocked.
"She opened up the previous closed off path to her future!" the principal observes.
"I send one Action Card to my Graveyard and dispel Draw Lock!" Yuya says as she sends miracle to the graveyard and the chains around her duel disk burst away.
"Alright, with this I... I'll bet it all on this one card! Draw!" Yuya says as she draws, her hand slightly shaking.

"That's why, it was back then... I was betting my future on this draw... Why did I draw a card I can't use?!" Yuya thinks disheartened as she falls to her knees.
Then in her mind she sees the shadow of a green eyed one eyed dragon and gasps.
"What was that?" Yuya questions as the answer becomes clear to her.
Yuya stands up and walks up a part of the rubble with a smile on her face.
"Ladies and Gentlemen!" Yuya declares with spread arms, surprising Mieru and getting her friends excited.
"Already set in my Pendulum Scale are Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and Scale 8 Timegazer Magician! With this I'm able to summon multiple monsters from Level Two to Seven!" Yuya exclaims as her magicians join in in her performance taking a bow.
"Swing Pendulum of the Soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Appear my monsters!" Yuya chants as her pendulum monsters are revived.

"With Petalelf's Flip effect, all of my opponents monsters are switched to Defense mode!" Mieru declares as Odd-Eyes is forced into defense mode again.

"Not this pattern again!" Futoshi exclaims worried.
"Isn't it great you avoided your fate of destruction? Now I can win this duel with a clear conscience." Mieru says as the platform she is on floats down a little.
"When this turn is over Ouijamorrigan's effect will destroy all of your monsters that are in Defense mode and deal you 200 points of damage for each one. Since you only have 500 life points, this will be the end for you. Now you understand don't you? You cannot win this Duel!" Mieru declares.
"I wonder about that, miss." Yuya replies.
"Miss?!" Mieru questions flustered by what she called her.
"I activate Entermate Springoose's effect! By banishing him from the Graveyard, I can return two cards on my field to my hand. Return to my hand, Stargazer and Timegazer!" Yuya explains as her magicians return to her hand.
"Just wait, I'm going to free you..." Yuya mentally tells the dragon she saw.
"Now, I release Entermate Kaleido Scorpion and Advance Summon the Level Five Stargazer Magician." Yuya exclaims as her monster vanishes in a colorful whirl and Stargazer emerges from it.

"Good it's not over yet!" Sora says as he and Yuzu arrive in the back of the stands.
"And now!" Yuya says as she holds up a card.
"That's-!" Yuzu says as she sees the card.
"I activate the Magic Card, Fusion!" Yuya declares.
"What?!" Nico exclaims shocked.
"Yuya is going to Fusion Summon!?" Sora asks shocked just like all of Yuya's friends.
"The monsters I choose to fuse are Stargazer Magician and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Wielder of Mysterious powers, become the bright light in the eyes of the dragon! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Arcane dragon wielder of ancient magic! Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya chants as her fusion dragon appears with a mighty roar.
Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon (LV.8) (3000ATK/2000DEF)
"You never cease to amaze Odd-Eyes." Yuya thinks with a smile as her new dragon hovers behind her.
"Th-this is...!" Nico says unable to say anything after that.
"A Fusion Monster with 3000 Attack points?!" Mieru exclaims shocked.
"But too bad you won't be able to wipe out my life points with that! Your fate remains unchanged" Mieru confidently declares.
"Miss, if Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon is Fusion Summoned using a Spellcaster type monster that was on the field as material, then the number of times it can attack my opponents monsters changes based on that Spellcasters Level!" Yuya explains.
"What did you say?!" Mieru exclaims shocked.
"Stargazer Magician's Level is 5!" Ayu says as she Tatsuya and Futoshi cheer.
"When the Spellcaster level is 5 or 6, he can attack three times!" Yuya explains.
"It's showtime!" Yuya declares as she leaps onto Rune-Eyes back and a ghostly form of Stargazer turns into a shining energy orb, which then splits into a triangle and bonds onto Rune-Eyes's ring.
"Battle Phase, miss." Yuya says as she flies past Mieru with her dragon, making Mieru's heart flutter.
"I attack Ouijamorrigan, Petalelf and Tarotrei!" Yuya says as her dragon targets those monsters.
"Now here comes the climax! Unending Shining Burst!" Yuya calls as her dragon fires three energy blasts from its ring, destroying all of Mieru's monsters.
In her mind Mieru sees Yuya wink at her midair making her heart skips a beat and her nose bleed as her life points are wiped out.

Rune-Eyes lands on the ground and Yuya jumps off it as the action field deactivates.
"Hey!" Tatsuya says as he, Ayu and Futoshi run to Yuya.
"You did it Yuya! " Ayu congratulates her.
"A Fusion from a Pendulum Summon, it should be called Pendulum Fusion right?" Tatsuya asks still excited about what he just saw.
"Pendulum Fusion?! Gives me the shivers!" Futoshi says as he wiggles around.
Yuya simply smiles at them.
"That was amazing! I knew you'd do something amazing!" Sora says excited as he and Yuzu run toward them.
"You pulled off a perfect Fusion Summon without me teaching you anything!" Sora exclaims amazed.
"Wait, Sora, Yuzu! When did you get here?" Yuya asks.
"Yuya, that was..." Yuzu tries to say.
"Ah, sorry! I used this without asking you." Yuya says as she holds our the fusion card.
"I'm giving this back to you." Yuya says with an apologetic look.
"Huh? Are you sure?" Yuzu asks her.
"Of course!" Yuya replies as Yuzu takes the card.
"With that, you're trying to change yourself into a different Yuzu from up until now! Now it's my turn! I will find the solution eventually, and thanks to you I might be one step closer to it." Yuya tells her.
"I will find what truly lies beyond Pendulum Summoning with my own hands, just wait and see!" Yuya cheerfully declares.
As the two of them seem lost in their own little world Yuya's heart flutters, while Sora, Tatsuya, Ayu and Futoshi look at them with knowing smirks. But...
"My fated person!" Mieru says as she jumps toward Yuya with open arms, snapping Yuya and Yuzu out of their moment.
"Yuya!" Yuzu says startled as Mieru hugs Yuya to the ground while Yuya herself has an uncomfortable look on her face.
"I knew it you were my fated person! You made my heart go pitter patter just now! My divination wasn't wrong after all!" Mieru says as she starts snuggling Yuya, while Yuya's friends look at them with shocked expressions, with the exception of Yuzu who is brimming with rage.
"Hold on, fated person? What is the meaning of this?" Yuzu question angrily as she readies her fan.
"No, I don't really get it either!" Yuya explains as she clearly wants to get away from Mieru.
"Oh my darling, there's no need to be so shy!" Mieru says.
"Yuya!" Yuzu says as her anger literally forms a dark aura making her friends back away a bit.
"I just told you this isn't-!" Yuya tries to say having noticed the aura around Yuzu.
"Who is that girl to you?!" Yuzu shouts in a mix of murderous rage and jealousy as she charges at them with her fan.
"Darling and I are bound together by fate!" Mieru says only making things worse.
"I wonder what fate awaits this young girl that can create her own destiny...?" the principal wonders as she holds up a crystal ball and points it at Yuya.
"This is...!" she says with a gasp as the crystal shows a silhouette of light and a silhouette darkness holding on to each other, right before the crystal breaks in half.
"Stop running!" Yuzu yells at Yuya, still chasing her with her fan, while Mieru is latched on to Yuya.
The principals prior amusement changes to worry as she looks at Yuya.
"Darling? When can I meet your mother and father?" Mieru asks as Yuzu's fan hits Yuya's head.
"I'll definitely change that fate!" Yuya cries out.
