Olivia became increasingly uncomfortable rather quickly. Tears started to sting her eyes and she pulled away from Trevor and ran into the bedroom, locking the door behind her, leaning against the door and silently crying.
Trevor watched her run into the bedroom and looked at the movers. "Excuse me." He walked to the bedroom and lightly knocked on the door. "Liv? Baby? Can I come in?"
Olivia unlocked and opened the door letting him in. She quickly closed and locked the door behind him. "I'm sorry," she whispered and wiped her eyes.
Trevor rubbed her arms. "Hey, talk to me, what's going on?"
Olivia took a deep breath and wiped her eyes. "I dated Billy in college, moved in with him, got engaged, and got pregnant. He was the sweetest, most caring man… at first. But then it changed, the sweetness and caring went away. Then I had a miscarriage. When he found out it was because of my endometriosis he called me worthless and slapped me across the face for keeping it from him. I told him to leave and that I never wanted to see him again. He promised me I never would. Trevor, I had no idea he was working as a mover or I'd have asked you to ensure he wasn't here today. Last I heard he was going into med school. I don't want him anywhere near my apartment, much less in it."
Trevor wrapped her tightly in his arms. "I'll take care of it. We'll figure this out. I promise."
Olivia looked up at him and smiled. "You're a good man, Trevor Langan." She stood on her tiptoes and kissed him, wrapping her arms around his neck. At that moment her foot popped. Trevor was the only man ever to make her foot pop, and she secretly loved it, almost as much as she loved Trevor.
Trevor held her hips as they kissed. He broke the kiss but stayed close. "I would do anything for you, Olivia. I love you so much."
Olivia kept her eyes closed as he spoke then she opened her eyes. "Mm. I love you too, Trevor, so damn much."
Trevor smiled. "You stay here, I'll take care of Billy."
Olivia smiled and kissed him softly. "My hero."
Trevor smiled and kissed her temple and walked back into the living room.
Olivia opened the door just a crack so she could hear and see what was going on.
Trevor walked over to the man in charge. "Billy has to go, I'll pay for him to leave, but my girlfriend doesn't want him anywhere near our apartment."
The man looked at Trevor. "No can do, pal. I need a full team and everyone else is on other jobs."
Trevor stepped closer, menacing. "Then you're going to call up and get someone to switch. This isn't up for debate."
The man moved closer to Trevor. "Look pal, I can't do anything about it today. I could come back in a week without Billy, but not before. Your call."
Olivia watched and saw it getting heated. She walked out, all her cop confidence shielding her.
Billy saw her. "Olivia."
Olivia looked at him with a fire in her eyes. She put her finger up. "Don't. Fucking. Talk to me." She rested her hand on Trevor's shoulder. "Calm down baby."
Billy seethed with jealousy. "Baby, huh? He know you're a waste of a woman?"
Trevor pushed past her and got in Billy's face. "What did you say about her?"
Billy looked at him. "She's a waste of a woman. She can't have kids."
Trevor moved to hit him, but Olivia got between them and stopped him from hitting Billy. "You're damn lucky she got between us asshole."
Olivia rested her hands on his shoulders. "Trev, look at me." She waited for his eyes to meet hers. "He's not worth it, okay, he's not worth it," she whispered.
Trevor took a deep breath and wrapped her in his arms, glaring over her shoulder at Billy.
Billy scoffed. "I bet she lied to you, too. Poor dumb sap."
Olivia pulled out of Trevor's arms and turned around, rage in her eyes. "Ever heard of menopause Billy, even if I wanted to I couldn't get pregnant anymore. But my son is happy and healthy. So sincerely fuck off."
Billy's mouth dropped. "You have a kid?"
Olivia nodded. "Now shut your mouth and go wait in the truck or something, get out of my sight."
The man in charge came over. "Hey, lady. Don't talk to my workers like that."
Olivia turned to him. "You have a man who likes to hit women when he deems them as useless on your team, you know that?"
Billy looked at her. "I never hit you."
Olivia quickly turned back to him. "Liar. When I had the miscarriage and told you about my endo you called me useless and slapped me for not being able to give you a family. I told you to get out and that I never wanted to see you again. You told me I wouldn't have to worry about that. But what can I expect from a med school washout? Or did you finish med school and get your license revoked for domestic violence?"
Billy stepped closer to her. "Shut your mouth, bitch."
Olivia stepped even closer to him so there was barely an inch of space between them. "I can look real easy, I'm a cop. Try me."
Billy looked into her eyes and backed away. "Fine. You're right. I hit you. I have a conviction for felony DV and lost my medical license. Happy?"
Olivia shook her head. "I'll be happy when I truly don't need to see you again. I don't want you near my apartment, in my apartment, or near me, my boyfriend, or my son. I'll get an order of protection against you, and if you think I'm bluffing, I'm a captain. I can get one real easy."
Billy looked at her then at his head mover. "I'm going to wait in the truck." He turned and left.
Once he was gone, Olivia looked at his manager. "Now, you can either switch him out with someone today or we won't be needing your services."
The man took out his cell phone. "Let me see what I can do." He said gruffly.
Olivia took a deep breath and looked at Trevor, tears building up in her eyes.
Trevor wrapped her in his arms. "I'm so proud of you," he whispered. "Go in the bedroom, I'll wait to see what the head mover says and meet you in there."
Olivia sniffled and nodded. "Thank you," she whispered. She walked into the bedroom and closed the door. She let her tears fall silently. After a few minutes, Trevor knocked on the door and Olivia let him in. "I'm so sorry," she whispered, crying into his chest."
Trevor held her tightly, stroking her hair. "For what my love? You were amazing."
Olivia wiped her eyes. "For crying. I was so strong with Billy and I ruined it by crying."
Trevor rubbed her back and kissed the top of her head. "So you cried, it doesn't change what you did back there, you're still strong. Sometimes tears are the best show of strength."
Olivia sniffed and looked up at him. "You mean it?"
Trevor wiped her tears away and smiled at her, holding her face in his hands. "I mean it." He leaned in and kissed her softly.
Olivia wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed him back. "Mm," she broke the kiss and looked into his eyes. "I love you."
Trevor tucked a tendril of hair behind her ear. "I love you too. And hey, badass Benson got the head of the moving team to agree to switch out Billy with someone else. They're on their way over now and then we can start packing the trucks and breaking down the bed."
Olivia smiled gently. "She's useful for more than just busting a perp."
Trevor smiled. "You are useful for more than just busting a perp. And never forget that."
Olivia blushed. "Thank you." She kissed him softly. She broke the kiss and bit her bottom lip. "I love kissing you."
Trevor rubbed her arms. "I love kissing you too." He kissed her forehead and wrapped her in his arms, he felt her instantly relax. "You're okay. I promise. I'm never going to let anyone hurt you, not if I can help it."
Olivia nodded. "But with my job, you won't be able to help it."
Trevor swayed them softly. "Well, outside of work I can help it, and I promise, no one will hurt you again."
Olivia smiled. "Is this what it's like?" She wondered aloud.
Trevor furrowed his brow. "Is this like what?"
Olivia looked up at him. "To be loved?"
Trevor tucked her hair behind her ear. "Yes, my love."
Olivia nuzzled into him and closed her eyes. "Thank you for loving me."
Trevor rubbed her back. "You never have to thank me for that. Olivia, you're not unloveable. It's difficult not to love you. Get whoever told you that you are unloveable out of your head because it's not true."
Olivia looked up at him again, in awe of him. "God, I love you."
Trevor smiled. "I love you too, Olivia Margaret. Now, what do you say we go out to the living room so the movers can come in here and break down the bed?"
Olivia nodded. "Yeah, let's go." Olivia took his hand and walked out tentatively until she heard Trevor whisper in her ear.
"I've got you."
Olivia smiled and walked with some more confidence behind the couch. "How's everything going?" She asked gently.
The head of the team looked up at her, obviously grumpy. "Fine."
Olivia looked at Trevor. "I guess I pissed him off," she whispered.
Trevor snickered a bit and wrapped his arm around her. "This is it, you sure you still want me to move in?"
Olivia looked up at him. "Nothing would make me happier."
Trevor and Olivia started helping the movers bring boxes down to the truck. They stayed out of the way when the couch bed parts and mattress came down. Then Trevor and Olivia went back up to the apartment for one last look to make sure they got everything. Trevor opened the nightstand and took out the picture of Simone.
They then stood in the kitchen and smiled. "One last kiss in here before we leave?"
Olivia grinned and nodded and Trevor put Simone's picture down, wrapped his arms around Olivia's waist, and kissed her passionately. Olivia moaned and cradled his face in her hands. "Mm."
Trevor broke the kiss and rested his forehead against hers. "Perfect. Just like you."
The head mover came in and looked at them. "Hey, love birds, are we goin' or not?"
Olivia giggled and felt his hands slip away from her waist. He grabbed the picture, took Olivia's hand and they went downstairs to catch a cab. Once they got a cab they gave Olivia's address and the truck followed. Olivia rested her head on Trevor's shoulder and smiled. "We're doing this." She looked up at him, a big beaming smile on her face.
Trevor kissed her temple and caressed her face. "We are." He whispered and smiled back.
Olivia's face dropped. "Promise this won't be the beginning of the end?"
Trevor stared into her eyes. "Promise." He whispered. "I told you, I'm here until you tell me to leave."
Olivia smiled again and nuzzled into him as the cab weaved in and out of traffic. "I love you, Trevor Langan."
Trevor rubbed her back. "And I love you, Olivia Benson."
When they finally reached the apartment, Olivia and Trevor helped the movers bring the boxes up. They brought Trevor's couch up took Olivia's couch out, and set up the bed, taking Olivia's bed out. The movers were there for a couple of hours working and when they left, Trevor gave the head mover a tip and closed and locked the door behind them.
Olivia smiled and looked at him. "We should shower, we're all sweaty."
Trevor chuckled. "Not my favorite way to get sweaty with you."
Olivia smiled. "Let me just call Noah and let him know we'll be over in a couple of hours to pick him up. Then we can get in the shower and have a little fun."
Trevor kissed her head. "Sounds like a plan. You call Noah and I'll get the shower hot."
