A powerful enemy seeks after a special weapon that threatens the entire multiverse, which lands in Bikini Bottom. As SpongeBob and Patrick grapple with the thought of a shocking secret that threatens their friendship, the two of them, along their friends, must race through the multiverse, making new friends, in order to save everything they love from their most powerful enemy yet!

Back in Bikini Bottom, Plankton was playing solitaire on his computer, having no plan on how to steal the secret formula.

Plankton: (sighs, very bored) After all that trouble, I'm gonna take a break from stealing the secret formula for a while.

Karen: (approaching) Sheldon, why not go outside for a while? Sitting here bored is not the key to being more happy.

Plankton: Right, and a portal opening up to a magical land will happen. Who's proven wrong, in this case?

Suddenly, an energy portal opens up.

Plankton: (surprised) Apparently, I am.

Plankton and Karen enter and notice the area and see a giant castle renovated to look like a school. They then see a sign that says, "Welcome to Auradon Prep."

Plankton: Auradon? (smiles) I think I have a new idea! I'll take over Auradon instead! (laughs evilly) But, first, we gotta plan, in case anything bad happens.

Karen: Okay, we can plan, but what bad thing could happen?

As the two survey the area before walking back into the portal, inside Auradon Prep, a mysterious pocket watch, shown inside of the dorm rooms, is sitting outside the window. Next to it, one of Dark-SB's severed arms, which briefly reactivates, foreshadowing his revenge in the future.
