———Jean's POV———
It has been a couple of days since I had agreed to join my father and I'm regretting it. We have done absolutely nothing these past few days. It makes me want to scream. Although, I have been working on my magic. I've started to work on projection magic so something like what happened at the Einzbern's castle won't happen again.
"EARTH TO JEAN TOHSAKA!!!!"
I frowned as Brooke yelled in my ear, I turned towards her with a sharp glare. "Do you mind? I think I might be going deaf with how many times you've been doing that."
"Then maybe don't zone out." I rolled my eyes slightly before looking down at the ground. We were on our way out of school as it had just ended, and might I say, I am so so glad it did. Why you might ask? Because for once I'll be doing something for the Grail War compared to these past few days. I'll be going around Fuyuki disabling bounded fields, easy and quick. Thankfully, I won't have anyone 'keeping me safe' as I'm strong enough to go out on my own.
"So, Jean what are you going to do tonight?"
I looked around to make sure there was no one nearby before answering. "Grail War stuff."
Seri nodded, "I forgot that your dad had asked you to help out."
"Yeah but I'm starting to think it's not him who asked me to help out."
"Why would you say that?"
I stopped and motioned for them to follow me to a more secure area, an alley not too far away from the school. "When my dad asked me to help, it was almost as if he wasn't doing it willingly. I think he wanted me to leave it alone, but something had made him say yes."
"Or someone," Seri added.
"No, the only other people who are helping my dad are Kotomine and Archer. There's no way either of them would make him get me to join the war."
"Well, Archer did interrupt our call the other night to take you to a king's banquet."
"Still can't believe you met King Arthur, so freaking cool," Brooke stated.
"If he did I'm kind of glad he did. This means I can keep an eye on Kirei and him," I replied.
"True, but you are also in the middle of a war between strong mages and strong historical figures," Seri added with a small bit of concern in her eyes.
"I'll be fine, I've been training ever since I could walk for this," I gave them a look of confidence. "Now, I got to go, there's something I need to do tonight."
"And that is?" They both raised their eyebrows as Seri spoke.
"Don't worry about it," I turned and waved goodbye before leaving. I walked towards the main part of Fuyuki, already knowing what to do after having a conversation with my father. We had both agreed that we needed to know who was the man who saved me from Caster a few nights ago. He had given me the task of finding out who it is, so I am going through Fuyuki looking for him. Not the smartest move, I know but it's the only one we can think of. I sighed before walking farther into the city, people started to disperse, most going into their homes for the night.
I frowned slightly as I no longer saw anyone, especially the guy from a few nights ago. "This was a bad idea, wasn't it?" I asked myself mumbling slightly.
"Yes, mongrel, it was."
My frown deepened as I heard the voice of pineapple head, wait, pineapple head. YES!!! Another nickname I could give him! I turned towards the Archer Class Servant. "If this is such a bad idea then why are you following me?" I questioned raising an eyebrow.
"You still don't know who I am, do you?"
"Other than being a royal prick? No, no I don't." His red eyes narrowed towards me into a glare telling me to shut up. Did I listen? Nope. "I need to go find that guy," I turned around to leave. However, he teleported in front of me, which made me bump into his chest.
"I didn't give you the authorization to walk away from me."
I looked up to him with a glare while taking a step back, "Who said I needed authorization? You was a king. Keyword was. Which means that you're not anymore. You died so your title doesn't count anymore," I walked around him. But, he grabbed onto my upper arm roughly. On instinct, I ripped my arm away and punched him in the face. His eyes widened slightly, mine did as well but his turned into a sharper glare while mine stayed wide. "Sorry about that, I have no clue what the heck came over me. I usually don't punch people for no reason. Even though I did have a reason..."
"Sorry, that was my fault."
A woman's voice rang in my head, I flinched slightly. "Umm...who are you?"
Archer clicked his tongue, "It's about time you asked, although I would've preferred it to be more—"
"Not you," I cut off focusing on the voice I heard.
"It's best we don't talk with him around," the voice responded.
"Alright..." Not knowing what else to do, I turned and ran off, using my magic circuits to get away faster. Which left Archer with a confused and aggravated face. I looked behind me slightly, only seeing a gold misty trail behind. Figuring that he wasn't following me anymore, I stopped. "Alright, explain. Who are you?"
"I'm Allura. Allura—you know what it's best if I don't say my last name. I'm here to help you with this Grail War, in a way I help boost your mana, and if you're in real danger then I can take over your body. Like what happened against Assassin."
"That was you?!"
"Yes, and there are some things that are going on in this war that I wish I could tell you but I can only communicate for so long."
"Are there any quick tips you can give me possibly?"
"Yeah, watch Kotomine and Archer closely, and don't piss off Archer too much his real name is Gilgamesh and he is extremely strong Servant wise."
"Alright, thanks..."
"Also, watch your si—"
Allura got cut off, almost like we were on a telephone call and the call dropped. Watch my wh—six. I whipped around and looked around, when I didn't see anyone I slowly backed up. "She said to 'watch my six' but I don't see anyone," I mumbled to myself. All of a sudden I felt a presence behind me, my eyes widened and I pulled up my sleeve and fired a Gandr shot in that direction. My eyes darted around the area, however, I didn't see anyone. "What the..." I looked around some more and took a few steps forward. My arm was still raised in case I saw anything move.
"Oh! It's you again!" An orange-haired male appeared out of a pillar. "You know, the big guy was so upset when you and the kids got away. But, we made up for it."
"Made up for it..." I trailed off not wanting to imagine what he meant by that. The purple-wearing Master walked closer to me, a Gandr shot started to appear at the tips of my fingers. "Stay back!" I ordered. He ignored me and instead kept walking, I glared and fired a warning shot right-wear his feet are. He jumped back slightly and let out a little laugh.
"You like to play huh?"
"You're psychotic huh?" I retorted tilting my head slightly with a 'really' look.
"Hey, big guy! I found another one!"
The thought of his Servant crossed my mind as he waved behind me. "Oh no..." I mumbled to myself, I turned slightly to see Caster standing a few feet behind me. "Well, sugar honey iced tea."
"Wonderful! Let's get this started, shall we?"
"Nope."
I darted to the right the only other open space as the left had a wall. For some reason a parody from Dory's song in Finding Nemo came to my head, Just Keep Running, Just Keep Running, what do we do? We run, run, run. I shook my head slightly to get the little jingle out of my head. I continued running, only stopping when a bunch of those octopus monsters got in the way. I skidded to a stop, almost hitting one. They started circling me like before, making me turn around and make sure they were getting too close. I bit my lip, "A way to get out..." I mumbled looking for a way out. "Allura, you here somehow...?" When I didn't get a response, I shot a few monsters and just chose to make a run for it.
I ran back to the house, hopefully going to lose them on the way there. But, before I could take even a few steps I bumped into a plate of armor. I fell and looked up to see who it was. However, I could not see who they were, only a slit of bright red and a black matter. The only thing I could guess was that this was the Servant Berserker. I gulped not knowing who had summoned him, I backed up slightly as Berserker let out a roar of some sort.
Berserker ran towards the monsters completely missing me, I turned my head slightly to Berserker. He swiftly but crazily killed off the monsters, he looked to me and the red on his helmet shined brighter. I quickly decided that instead of staying there I'd run as far away from the battle as I could. Some of the monsters got in my way, but they were easily killed by my Gandr shots.
I finally started to slow down when I knew I was far enough, I leaned onto my knees, breathing heavily. Why do I always end up getting tangled up with Caster? I stood up properly and looked around to figure out where I was. I wasn't far from the Matou house, which means I'm not far from my house. I sighed and started to walk to the house, deciding to take it slow to store up any mana for later. As I was passing the Matou house, I stopped for a second to look at it. Sakura was in the house, which made me a little sad knowing that they probably aren't treating her well. I had met Zouken Matou once in my life and he was a horrible man. I looked closer to the mansion when I saw movement, a little girl with purple hair was looking out. A girl that looks very similar to Sakura. "That can't be...tghis ecnahe."
My eyes glowed a slightly purple tint showing the power of the spell. My eyesight zoomed in towards the window, before widening when finding out that it was indeed Sakura. I frowned as I noticed the hollow look in her eyes, the spell disappeared as I closed my eyes and looked away slightly. She's nowhere near the happy girl she used to be...I sighed slightly before turning and continuing to walk. A small tear escaped my eye as I now knew that Sakura wouldn't be living a happy and loving life.
