Chapter 86: Things are Heating Up!
There was a meeting in Nezu's office. The last few months Nezu was dii g something very important.
After quite of a bit of delays this was a meeting a long time coming. In the room, Inko, Toshinori and Aizawa were waiting for someone.
That was when Tensei entered the room.
"So you needed me for this meeting?" he asked.
Nezu nodded.
"As you are a pro-hero and part of Midoriya's bond it's a good idea for you to be a part of this meeting." Said Nezu.
"We haven't discussed this topic since he joined." Sighed Toshinori.
"What's going on?" asked Tensei.
"Never has been abusing his children." Said Nezu.
"What?" asked Tensei.
They brought her up to speed who was just shocked.
"Since all Might is no longer injured you're not longer using the excuse of protecting her?" asked Aizawa.
Nezu sighed.
"so you gifted it out." Said Nezu.
"It's hard not to see." Said Aizawa.
"You're right. It was an excuse because I knew if I tried to take him down it would just make things worse." Said Nezu.
"You're talking about my injury." Said Toshinori.
"I am." Sighed Nezu.
Toshinori sighed at this.
"Should have known…" she grumbled.
"Having the number 1 hero retire close to the number 2 having a scandal would cause so many problems." Sighed Nezu.
"At the time you couldn't tell the kids…" said All Might, "But why hide it from us?"
"I have my reasons." Sighed Nezu.
"Of course you do." Said Aizawa.
"So what's the plan?" asked Tensei.
"I wasn't able to get any evidence… the marriage on paper was just a arrange marriage. Though there was that accident with his eldest son." Sighed Nezu, "But All signs pointing to it just being an accident."
"And unfortunately us not getting this sooner means that Endeavor is going to be the number 2 hero again." Muttered Aizawa.
"I'm sorry, after the healing I should have made this more of priority but there were other things going on." said Nezu.
The others did understand there were so many things that did take priority sadly.
Nezu was a very busy animal after all… not just the school…
"We're going to have to talk to Todoroki about this and ask his siblings to help." Said Nezu.
The others nodded in agreement.
Toshinori sighed.
"I will still have to do deal with him at the hero billboard." She sighed.
"Just try not to do something back stage." Sighed Tensei.
Tensei due to the magical girl was invited to be part of Toshinori's entourage.
"Don't worry I won't have a big fight back stage." Said Toshinori.
Everyone looked at Toshinori as if reading between the lines…
"You might have a small fight." Said Aizawa.
"Don't worry it won't be a fist fight." Said Toshinori.
Tensei sighed.
"Gran Torino and Sir Nighteye will help you." Said Inko.
"I know…" sighed Tensei.
Even if he didn't know the other two heroes, he knew that they would have an easier time wrangling in Toshinori better than she could.
Meanwhile in the dorm, they were waiting for the guests while teasing Tokoyami had a giant sneeze.
And soon the guests showed up, the Wild Wild Pussy Cats in their civilian wear.
It should be pointed out that Izuku wasn't the only one kidnapped during the incident. So was Ragdoll. And unlike Izuku, her quirk did get stolen, they had spent the last few months recovering and reassuring that it was fine.
Of course they their introduction when they entered the room the class was also celebrated that the team brought in Paw Pad Manju.
Izuku looked at the team unsure what to say.
"Sorry we couldn't protect you." Said Tiger.
"It's fine really." Said Izuku.
"You shouldn't blame yourself." Said Rag Doll.
"Do you…" said Izuku.
But Rag Doll stopped him before he could finish it.
"IT's fine and it would be fair to the others." Said Rag Doll, "Even if I did get my quirk back."
"Wait you can't get it?" asked Kaminari.
It turned out that it wasn't a good idea to get back from All for One for obvious reasons.
Eri who was there noticed Kota, who noticed her back.
Eri approached him.
"Hi…" she said nervously.
"What?" asked Kota.
"Wait… why is there a little girl?" asked Pixie Bob.
"Oh that's Eri… it's a long story." Sighed Izuku.
"Well you better make it quick we also have to say hi to class B." said Pixie Bob.
"I accidently bonded with her, then rescued her from a bad situation and now mom is her guardian." Said Izuku.
"Inko is in a meeting right now so we're babysitting." Said Ochaco, "Though sometimes she just likes to hang out here."
"Wait you were rescued by him too?" asked Kota.
"Too?" asked Eri looking a little excited by another kid who was saved by Izuku,.
"Yeah." Said Kota, "He saved me."
"Thank you for the letter by the way!" said Izuku.
"I'm glad you're okay…" said Kota blushing.
Kota had sent thank you/apology letter after Izuku got rescued.
"Oh by the way…" said Mandalay.
She pointed to a small pair of bright red shoes that looked like Izuku's .
"He said they had to be bright red." Said Mandalay.
"It's not like that!" said Kota blushing.
"Now we match!" said Izuku.
"Oh by the way! The reason why we're here." Said Pixie Bob, "We're going to announce we're coming back!"
The class all cheered.
"Wait… I thought you quit." Said Izuku.
"Well I would be on the front lines per say but I'm going to be the cat-ministrative assistant." Said Rag Doll.
"Are you sure you don't want to bond…" said Izuku.
"I keep saying it would be fair to the others!" said Rag Doll.
Tiger sighed at that.
He knew he was main the reason why she didn't want to bond… yeah to keep things "fair" between them when she knew he would never want to bond with Izuku.
IT was clear with the other three they didn't agree with her, but it wasn't the right time to try to convince her.
Maybe in the future but not right now.
"But why return now?" asked Yaoyorozu.
"Because it's almost time or the Billboard announcement." Said Pixie Bob.
"We know." Said Izuku and all of her student partners.
"Tensei is going to go as All Might's guest." Said Tenya.
"Not to mention just the fact we're telepathically connected to All Might." Said Izuku.
"Oh right." Said Pixie Bob with a sweat drop.
"Well we're in 411 place." Said Mandalay.
"Oh you're doing despite your shar delice?" asked Kirishima.
"Wrong! Why do you think we're still in the triple digits despite zero action!" said Rag Doll.
"Our approval rating is still as high as ever." Said Tiger.
"Which means people are counting on us." Said Pixie Bob.
"So we can help but to move forward." Said Rag Doll.
"I heard you Wild Wild Pussy Cats!" cried Kirishima, "You are clearly the manliest."
Katsuki just playfully rolled er eyes at her boyfriend.
"By the way Tiger I want to thank you for your efforts in the trying to change the uniform law." Said Tenya.
"I understand what you mean." Said Tiger, "Trust me. When I was your age that law annoyed me… especially since hero schools can't exactly break that law without hurting their reputation."
"Um… can I stay here while you visit class b?" asked Kota.
Mandalay smiled, "Of course."
And so with the Billboard fast approaching, the next hero list will soon be announced… wit especially with tension between the top two heroes.
