After a long breakfast it's almost lunch time and Burt offers to go to the store to get some stuff for the evening. Rachel is in her room, talking to her dads and Santana decided to take a bath which means blocking the bathroom for at least one hour. Probably more. Enjoying their little time alone Kurt and Blaine sit down on the couch to cuddle and Blaine decides that he should confront Kurt now.
"Sweetheart I just realized when we talked to Marisol that you aren't fully back to being healthy when you have your finals. Do you already have a plan or should I help you with anything?" he asks. The other man smiles "It's cute that you thought about it. Thank you. Do you remember that I told you that I have a lot to do while you're at NYADA next week so I won't get bored?". "Yes. Why?" Blaine asks confused.
"Early tomorrow I have to go to the police station for my statement. Dad is coming with me before he has to go home again. On Wednesday I have a check-up at the hospital in the early noon and on Friday afternoon I meet up with Ms. July. We'll see what comes after that" Kurt explains.
"When do you have your check-up?" Blaine asks, impressed that Kurt thought everything through. "10. Why?" the younger man answers. "And you would have to take the subway?" Blaine asks further and when Kurt nods he continues "I'll drive you before my next class. After all your supportive husband wants to hear what the doctor has to say. After that I'll bring you home again and drive back to NYADA". "Honey you don't have to do that" Kurt says but the other man waves it off "I want to".
"Also on Friday you have to get to NYADA with the subway but if you stick around a little until my last class ends we can drive back together" Blaine proposes and to that Kurt gladly agrees with a dirty smirk "Even better. We'll be alone at home because the girls will be at work". "Kurt I won't have sex with you when you're still injured" Blaine says. He's serious but he can't stop himself from laughing when he sees Kurt pout.
When the girls go to work Blaine cooks for the Hummel men and him. Kurt told him that Burt isn't a good cook and with the cast he isn't the biggest help in the kitchen himself. So before they order again Blaine offers to be in charge of the food this evening. During dinner they already talk about what games they can play later since Twister is out of question now and even tho last time they enjoyed SkyJo but the game is still at Blaines apartment. They still have a lot of games at the loft to choose from.
As soon as the three men start with playing games they put the snacks and drinks on the table. Burt bought himself a beer and another bottle of apple cider. Kurt doesn't drink at the moment and he wasn't sure if Blaine drinks. There's also lemonade and water on the table as well as various snacks.
They play game after game, laughing, having fun and enjoying their time together. Kurt tries not to laugh too much since it still hurts a little but sometimes he can't help it. He's way too happy and his dad and boyfriend are silly. He's happy that his family is happy. Happy that they all get along so well because they will have to in the future. Blaine and him is the future. Still after laughing Kurt needs a moment to breathe and every time Blaine watches him closely, trying to support him by taking his hand or stroking up and down his back.
Around 11 Kurt takes a pain killer because the last one started to wear off and the pain started to get somewhat unbearable. "We can stop if you want to kiddo" Burt says but his son shakes his head "We're having so much fun. Let's play a little longer". "Okay but not too long anymore. We all have to get up early tomorrow" Blaine says.
Half an hour later Blaine sees that Kurt is getting tired. He leans over to kiss Kurts cheek and says "Time for bed sweetheart". Kurt nods and lets Blaine help him get up. "You two get ready for bed. I clean the table" Burt says, standing up as well. The curly haired man thanks him and together with his boyfriend goes to the bathroom. They spend the whole day in their pajamas and Blaine only takes off his shirt again before they both start to brush their teeth.
While going to the bedroom Blaine notices that Burt is still cleaning up so he says "You go to bed already and I help your dad real quick. Then I come and join you". "Okay. See you in a few minutes" Kurt says before he kisses his boyfriend goodnight. "Don't wait for me. Goodnight sweetheart. I love you" Blaine says. "I love you too" Kurt answers and goes in his room.
"I'm sorry to hear about what happened in high school" Burt says "I forgot to say that earlier today". "I recovered and that's the most important thing" Blaine answers "Dalton helped me deal with it and feel comfortable again so I'm okay now. This week's events just brought back some memories but thanks to Kurt I'm okay".
Once the table is cleared Burt and Blaine say goodnight and Blaine joins his boyfriend in bed. After this amazing day Blaine falls asleep quickly and with a smile on his lips.
Although it didn't happen the night before Blaine wakes up in the middle of the night again. Kurt next to him wakes up too, first confused but then fully focused on his boyfriend "It's okay Blaine. You're safe". "I hate this. Last night everything was perfect. I mean it wasn't as bad as the nights before but I thought it stopped" the other man says, clearly frustrated. "It's a progress honey. Some days are better than others and some night too. We both know that's true" Kurt reminds him.
"Can you sing something for me again?" The curly haired man asks as he lays back down. Kurt lays down again too "Of course honey". He can feel Blaines arm around his torso as his body cuddles to Kurts side. The older man kisses Kurts shoulder before he mumbles "Thank you. I love you". "I love you too" Kurt whispers back before he quietly starts singing the same song as always.
