Everything pretty much returned to normal after the fun day at the fair. Sure they didn't forget the mysterious threat that loomed over them, but they no longer truly focused on it. They were able to set their fears aside and enjoy their lives, and get excited for Julie's upcoming wedding. Now the toons weren't going to be at the main ceremony as even with disguises the idea of being around so many strangers was a frightening one, especially since it would be easy for the one that had lured Bendy into a trap to join the crowd of well wishers to get close to the toons with them out even realizing it, so instead the Julie and her soon to be husband Jason agreed to have a small private reception after the main one with just the Stein's so that the toons could celebrate too.
Alison and Tom had volunteered their yard for the reception as they had plenty of space and were a bit out of the way so they didn't have to worry about any party crashers and the toons wasted no time in decorating the area, wanting this reception to be just as magical and memorable as the real one with all the human guests. The toons being toons though, there was some arguing about what decorations should go where, and at one point the mini toons got tangled up in the ribbons the others had been hanging. But the messes were sorted out and disagreements settled, leaving the toons plenty of time to get dressed in fancy clothes as they waited for the wedding to finish and the bride and groom to come for this little celebration.
Henry and Linda arrived first, greeted happily by their gaggle of toons and bombarded with whistles and questions as they tried to learn how the ceremony had gone and when Julie and her new husband would be here. Henry and Linda laughed at the toons' excitement and Henry told the toons, "They should be here soon, so why don't you guys get into position."
The toons nodded and scrambled into place.
Not much longer later Julie and Jason drove up in their own car, which was decorated with ribbons and flowers, proudly declaring it belonged to a newlywed couple. As soon as the couple stepped out, the toons cheered in excitement and threw rice in celebration. Julie and Jason laughed and made their way to the crowd. Once the toons calmed down, they eagerly began giving the couple the presents they had gotten them. The butcher gang gave the couple some violets in a decorated pot, having helped grow the flower themselves and decorating the pot too. Boris played a song for them that he had written himself and Alice gave them matching scarves that she had knitted with Linda's help. And finally gave them a pair of plushies he had made of them out of his ink. He also gave Julie a bracelet made of his ink as well, promising that she would always have his protection and that she could use the bracelet to call him if she ever needed help.
Once all the gifts had been given Boris and Sammy began to play cheerful music and the toons began dancing, both with Julie and Jason and with just each other as well. Eventually Bendy took his turn dancing with Julie, growing into his ink reaper form so she wouldn't have to bend down so much to do so.
"You still look terrifying like this," Julie teasingly told Bendy as they danced. "Even more so than when I first met you, but I'm not scared it like I had been then. Because I know you're just a goofy cinnamon roll underneath."
"I may be a cinnamon roll but I'm still dangerous," Bendy replied, trying to be joking but coming out more melancholy instead. "I can hurt people so easily. There's a reason people think 'monster' when they first meet me like you did."
"Hey none of that now," Julie lightly batted Bendy's arm. "Looking like a monster or being capable of hurting people doesn't mean you are a monster. Everyone has the potential to hurt people, but we don't. It might be easier for you to hurt people than others sure, but it just makes the fact that you don't all the more special. Besides, no matter the crazy way you were brought to life or all the terrible things you've been through you're still Dad's creation at your core. He created you with love with the intention of you bringing joy and laughter to others and I know you'll never be truly evil because that love is still a part of you. Joey might have been forced to do bad things, but that's because he's the evil one. Not you. Look at everything dad's told me you've been up to since you got out. You made friends with the neighborhood kids and did everything to protect them and the others in town. Does that sound like something a 'monster' would do?"
"No," Bendy admitted.
"Well there you go," Julie grinned. "I'll admit it was weird getting used to you and the others, but I'm happy you're here and part of the family. Whatever's bothering you or the doubts that you carry they don't define who you really are. You're not perfect, but neither am I or anyone else on this planet. The only thing we can do is to try to be the best we can be and to be kind to others and I think you're doing a pretty good job at it. Just look at this wonderful party you and the others had set up just because you guys wanted to show how happy you are for me. If that doesn't show how much of a cinnamon roll you and the others are I don't know what will."
"I guess you're right," Bendy chuckled. "And we can't let all this hard work go to waste."
Any worries Bendy had faded away for now as he enjoyed this moment, soon leaving Julie to dance with Jason as he went and joined Alice and Boris instead. The rest of the party went smoothly but soon Julie and Jason had to leave to head out on their honeymoon. The toons waved goodbye and got to work cleaning up, happy they got to celebrate their family expanding.
