He laid in that bed and grumbled to himself. "Damn that Kakashi. He won't get away with this when we next meet." A boy walked over to him, a mask strapped to his side. "Well you'll still need to heal if you want to do anything to him." Zabuza only grumbled some more. "I know that. So hurry it up and help me get better." The boy only smiled.

"Well look what we have here." They both looked to see three men at the now open door to their hideout. "How useless could ninja like you possibly be. You had one job and you couldn't even do that. Honestly I think killing you would be better for you." Zabuza snarled at Gato as he began to get up. "Kakashi Hatake was tougher than I expected is all. Next time we see him I'll gut him."

"And how can I believe that when he did this to you. You're so useless that paying you would be a waste." The boy approached the smaller man with rage in his eyes. "Don't talk to Zabuza like that!" Gato only laughed. "Or what?"

He then felt it. His hand began to get crushed by the boy's vice-like grip. The man screamed in pain as his two thugs drew their swords to attack, only to have senbon needles pierce their throats. Gato watched them hit the ground as the boy's hand let go of his own. He looked in fear as he began to scurry away. "That bridge builder better be dead. Or else!" He ran as the two ninja watched him flee.

"I wish we didn't have to follow him." The boy said as he went back to Zabuza's side.

"Soon we won't Haku. But for now, we have our orders."

Team 7 walked behind Tazuna as they made their way to the bridge. Naruto was excitedly talking about having finally gotten tree walking down while Sasuke gave a cool smile. Sakura was happy for the two as she wished she could get water walking down though she was still struggling. Kakashi just walked in silence as he read from his book. He felt something was off though what it was he didn't know.

Naruto cheered to himself once more as Kakashi did a little eye smile and patted his hair. "Yes, yes you did very well. But don't be too cocky. All of you still have a lot to learn." They all nodded in agreement as they finally made it to the bridge. They could all tell something was off.

No one was around. It was abandoned as everything was left how it was when everyone left it the previous night. Kakashi knew this meant trouble. Getting in front of everyone he told the kids to watch Tazuna as mist descended onto the bridge, Zabuza appearing through it.

"Well, did you miss me?" He asked as the masked ninja from before emerged from the mist as well. Kakashi showed his Sharingan to them as it swirled to life. "Not in the slightest."

The kids stayed with their charge while Zabuza and Kakashi approached one another. They both knew what was about to happen as they prepared to fight. Just then, Kakashi's Sharingan noticed something. He looked to see a dark shadow disappear under the bridge. Fast enough where even his own eye couldn't see a clear view of what it was. Doing that nearly cost him.

"You better pay attention!" He dodged Zabuza's swing from his sword as he leapt to gain some distance. The bandaged man didn't let up as he continued to take swings at the masked man. Kakashi brought out a kunai as he blocked a swing for his shoulder, skidding across the ground as the heavy blade made him move across the bridge. The masked ninja ran at Tazuna and the kids while Zabuza kept Kakashi from following, much to Kakashi's concern.

"Now don't you worry about them. We have unfinished business to attend to." Kakashi grunted as he brought the giant sword to the ground before kicking Zabuza in the chest, sending him skidding across the bridge. "Oh don't think I wasn't ready for that." Kakashi went in for a punch that Zabuza blocked with his arm. Raising up his leg, Zabuza kicked Kakashi before going to slash him in the side. Kakashi expected this as he put his right leg on the still rising sword and with all his might stuck it into the ground.

Zabuza grunted in frustration as he grabbed Kakashi's shirt and headbutted him. Kakashi became dazed as Zabuza prepared a jutsu. "Water Style: Water Bullet!" A jetstream of water propelled itself out from Zabuza's mask as Kakashi was hit with it, going flying and slamming into the wall behind him. He gave a cough before noticing Zabuza flying down onto him in the reflection of the water on the bridge. Kakashi moved just out of the way as Zabuza's sword sliced through the waist high wall.

Kakashi tried to ready a jutsu but Zabuza was too quick as he slashed at Kakashi. Slash after slash came at him as Kakashi continued to dodge and block Zabuza. Taking a chance, Kakashi ducked a swip from him as he readied his own attack. "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" Fire spewed from Kakashi's mask as Zabuza now had to jump out of the way, just nearly being roasted by the fire. Kakashi then prepared another attack as lightning began to coat his hand.

The masked ninja ran at the trio and Tazuna as they all got in front to protect the man. The ninja jumped up as Sasuke did the same, intercepting them in mid air as kunai met senbon. Naruto jumped up as two clones appeared beside him, all three preparing to attack the ninja. They knew they needed to make distance as they pushed against Sasuke, sending him to the floor, before dodging the Naruto's easily. All three charged at them as they dodged each of their strikes with ease. The Naruto's became more and more flustered with each miss as one grabbed a kunai and threw it at the ninja, only for them to deflect the attack as the kunai went into the waters below.

Sasuke got up as he looked to Sakura, "Stay with him!" He ordered before running to catch up with the Naruto's. Jumping he tried to deliver a kick on the ninja only to be blocked and thrown aside, nearly falling into the water, as he caught himself with his chakra on the side of the bridge. Concentrating, he just stopped himself from sliding off the stone as he grabbed onto the top and climbed up onto the bridge. Looking over the ledge he saw that the ninja just put senbon into a Naruto as they puffed into smoke. The other two Naruto's ran to attack them as they grabbed one's hand and spun them around, slamming them into the other. The one that was slammed into puffed into smoke as Nauto hit the ground hard.

The masked ninja pulled out more senbon as they prepared to strike when they just dodged a punch from Sasuke, punching him in the side as senbon stuck into the boy's side. He gasped in pain as he fell beside Naruto, the two watching the ninja walking towards them. Suddenly they all heard what sounded like many birds chirping as the ninja stopped. While the mist obscured what was going on the ninja seemed to know as they said a single word. "Raikiri!" Naruto and Sasuke became confused as they then watched the ninja start to do hand signs as ice seemed to form around them. They both began to stand as the ice became mirrors that surrounded them.

"What is this?" Naruto asked as Sasuke didn't answer, just as confused as he was. The mirrors completely formed as the ninja went up to one and began to meld with it. Sasuke tried to stop them as he threw a kunai only for it to just miss them as they entered the mirror and the kunai clinked against the object. Sasuke was amazed with the sturdiness of the mirror as he went for an attack. "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" The fire roared as the ice seemed to not even be affected by it.

"It's no use. Once you've entered into my trap there is no escape." The ninja said as they flew out of the mirror and hit Sasuke with senbon. Naruto watched them appear in another mirror as he made another Shadow Clone as he attempted to have it smash the mirror, only for the ninja to hit him and his clone with senbon as the clone exploded. Both boys grunted as senbon began to rain from all directions. Sasuke tried to use a kunai to block them but a senbon hit the kunai out of his hand as he watched Naruto get hit again and again.

The boys began to resemble pin cushions as they both had a hard time standing. Blood dripped from them both as Naruto once again struggled to make shadow clones, the ninja wasn't amused. "So then you've chosen to die first." They said as senbon rained down from all directions. Naruto was mid jutsu when he saw the rain of death as he didn't even have enough time to brace himself.

A push in his side had him fall to the ground as he felt blood hit his cheek. He looked up in horror as Sasuke was over him, his back and neck covered in needles. He looked into Sasuke's eyes as they had changed. They were red with weird markings surrounding his black pupils. Sasuke gave a rough cough as blood poured out of his mouth. He felt weak as Naruto heard him say something that he didn't fully understand.

"I'll tell them…you're…o…k." He whispered as he fell into Naruto's arms. The boy couldn't move as tears ran down his face. Those dreams of his started to run through his mind. That boy, those people, her. They started to come back to him as a raging fire burned in his heart. His body began to change as he held Sasuke's lifeless body. His teeth sharpened. His nails grew. His eyes became slit as they changed to a hellish red. Orange chakra burst from his body as it swirled into the shape of a fox. The ninja looked at the boy in surprise as he looked at him and gave out a deafening roar. It shattered the mirrors as he was flung out of the one he was using. He felt his body spinning as he almost struggled to stand. And then he heard the voice.

"I'll make you PAY! I'll KILL you!"

The lightning charged in Kakashi's hand as his Sharingan gave him the perfect path for his target who stood in shock. The lightning cutter blazed to life as he spoke its name. "Raikiri!" In that instant he charged down Zabuza who couldn't even dodge such a lightning quick strike. Kakashi zipped up to the masked man as he hit him in the side, blood exploding out of him as he screamed in pain and hit the ground. Kakashi slid to a stop as Zabuza's lifeless body moved no more. He took a breath when he heard Sakura's scream.

Looking to his students he saw Sasuke fall into Naruto's arms. His eyes widened in shock as the boy almost looked dead. "Please no." He said to himself. He ran to get to the two when he felt something he hadn't felt in twelve years. A roar followed as it destroyed the mirrors and even to his shock pushed him back. Kakashi hit the ground as he saw Naruto scream in furry and anguish. The masked ninja hit the ground as their mask shattered. They looked up to see Naruto in this state as they looked just as shocked as Kakashi. Naruto ran at the boy, claws raised to kill.

Kakashi knew he had to stop him now or the plan would fail. He raised both hands as they came together into a seal. "KAI!" He screamed as markings began etched across Naruto's head and formed into a seal on his forehead. Naruto stopped just inches from the boy as he looked at him with bloodlust. The boy looked back at him with pure shock on his face as the boy finally fell to the ground unconscious. Kakashi gave a great sigh of relief as he began walking to Naruto. He checked him over while the boy began to stand. "Haku, right?" Kakashi asked the boy.

Haku nodded as he looked to the grown man in front of him. They both radiated bloodlust now as they both killed those special to them. Sakura was very worried as she kept Tazuna behind her just in case. And then they heard a laugh.

"Looks like I was right. You two were useless." Gato said as behind him was an army of thugs. He laughed some more as he brought his foot to Zabuza's face and inspected it. "What a shame he died. And unfortunately for the rest of you it will be the same." Haku growled at the man as he was about to pounce on him. A few of Gato's men began to move in to attack as Gato just laughed some more. "What's the matter kid, mad that I'm…" but what he said next never came as Zabuza raised from the ground and sliced him down with his sword. The man's upper body flew through the air as it landed in the middle of the crowd. Some of the men screamed in terror as Kakashi and Haku saw the opening. The three started charging and killing all who stood in their way as Sakura stood there in shock. She had seen Zabuza hit the ground before Sasuke had died, and the man even still had blood running down his side and yet he looked completely fine. She didn't get why her sensei was working with them either. What was going on?

The three killed many as the rest began to retreat in fear. All three stopped their killing as the mercenaries all ran away. They all gave a sigh of relief as Zabuza looked to Kakashi in anger. "You almost hit me, you know." Kakashi only eye smiled as he covered his Sharingan. "Oh you'll live. Now help me get these two. We don't have much time." Zabuza only grumbled to himself as he picked up Sasuke's limp body, Kakashi doing the same for Naruto. Sakura still stood there in confusion as Kakashi went up to her. "Let's go you two, they won't be coming back now and we need to get these two back. Tazuna just went with what he said as Sakura stood still. "Wha…what's going on?" she asked as Kakashi stopped.

"I'll tell you later but we need to get back now or they won't make it. I know you're confused but once we help these two I'll tell you everything. Sakura stayed still as she looked at her teacher, still so confused. Kakashi was getting impatient now. "SAKURA NOW!" She finally moved as she gave a small eep and followed the group. Yet even then she didn't know what was going on.

It watches them run back to the man's home. It couldn't be bothered to remember his name. Not like he matters. It watches them as they are now out of its sight. It jumps down to look at the bodies. A smile forms across its face as the corpse's surround it. "This is beautiful isn't it?" The others are not impressed. "Let's just get to them already." It smiled at his frustration. "What's wrong? Feeling impatient?" He growled at it. A dark chuckle followed. "Hahaha, I think he is." It chuckled too. "I believe you're right. Don't worry, we'll make it in time. Besides, we still have a long time before our proper meeting." Darkness swirled around them as they disappeared from the now battlefield. A dark laugh echoing throughout the bridge.
