After Lynn and Ronnie Anne's victories at the Cortondo Gym; everyone was waiting for Ronnie Anne's Pokemon to be treated.
"So where's Cascarrafa at?" asked Clyde.
"Well, first we head west of Cortondo and go north through West Province Area One." said Nemona.
"That's where we took on our first Team Star base, right?" asked Clyde.
"Yeah." said Penny.
"Hopefully that wall that was there before is gone." said Lincoln.
"Once we make it through that area, we should reach Cascarrafa shortly." said Nemona.
"Awesome!" said Lincoln, making Nemona smile at him.
"Maybe after bro's gym battle, me and Ronnie Anne can go to Artazon to challenge the gym there." suggested Lynn.
"Sure, we can do that." said Lincoln.
"Thanks, Lame-O." said Ronnie Anne.
"Maybe we can also stop by Mesagoza so Nemona can get us some Tera Orbs." suggested Lana.
"That's a good idea." said Nemona.
Soon, Ronnie Anne gets her Pokemon and everyone starts to head out of Cortondo.
"Hey, Lincoln; what kind of Pokemon does the Artazon gym leader use?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"He uses grass types." Lincoln replied.
"So fire, flying, bug, and ice types would be a good idea." said Ronnie Anne. "I think I'll get my Snom out of storage and swap him with my Psyduck; she would have a disadvantage against grass types."
"And Snom would have more advantages against them." said Lincoln. "But he should be careful with Brassius's Sudowoodo since rock type moves would be very effective against him."
"Good idea." said Ronnie Anne as she uses her Rotom Phone to exchange her Psyduck for her Snom. "And maybe I'll train up Snom for a while also."
"Let's get going then." said Lincoln. Nemona hooks one of her arms around one of Lincoln's, making him blush and Ronnie Anne glare at her before she hooks one of her arms around one of Lincoln's, making Nemona glare back at her.
The group then exits Cortondo and begins heading for West Province Area One; as they make their way through a small canyon, they see a Pokemon with a round body covered in cream-colored fur, triangle-shaped ears, arms and legs, a pig snout, and a monkey tail.
"What's that?" asked Lana as she points her Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Mankey, the Pig Monkey Pokemon. It lives in groups in the treetops. If it loses sight of its group, it becomes infuriated by its loneliness." said Lana's Rotom Phone.
"A Pokemon that's like a pig and monkey combined?" asked Lana. "I wanna catch this one."
"And I think Mankey's a fighting type Pokemon." said LIncoln. "So Rabsca would be your best choice against it."
"You got it." said Lana as she lets her Rabsca out of her pokeball; the Mankey notices this and starts acting aggresively before getting into a battle stance.
"This Pokemon really wants to rumble." said Lynn.
"Rabsca, use Psybeam!" said Lana. Her Rabsca releases a beam of psychic energy from her ball at the Mankey; the opposing Pokemon jumps up to dodge it and comes down while scratching at Rabsca repeatedly.
"That was Fury Swipes!" said Clyde.
"It'll take more than that to stop us!" said Lana. "Rabsca, use Confusion!" Her Rabsca releases a blast of psychic energy from her ball that hits the Mankey, landing a critical hit, and dealing super effective damage; the Mankey starts acting very ferociously as energy flows through it.
"What's with that Mankey?" asked Lincoln.
"Lana better do something quick." said Lucy. The Mankey leaps at Rabsca, grabs her, leaps into the air, and throws her towards the ground, slamming into it with such force it makes cracks spread for several feet.
"That had to hurt." said Lynn.
"That was Seismic Toss." said Nemona.
"At least Rabsca can handle fighting type moves since she's part bug and psychic types." said Lincoln.
"Rabsca, try using Psybeam again while Mankey's still in midair!" said Lana. Rabsca fires another beam of psychic energy from her ball at Mankey, and since it was still in midair, it couldn't jump to avoid the attack; Psybeam hits the Pokemon, dealing super effective damage, and making it crash to the ground. Lana quickly takes an empty pokeball out of her backpack and throws it at the Mankey, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"Nice one, Lana!" said Ronnie Anne.
"Yes! Mankey's mine!" said Lana. While her new Pokemon is being sent to storage, she looks it up on her Rotom Phone. "This says my Mankey's a girl, she knows Scratch, Leer, Focus Energy, Covet, Fury Swipes, Low Kick, and Seismic Toss; she has the Anger Point ability which powers her up to her max when she's hit with a critical attack."
"Are you gonna exchange her for one of your Pokemon?" asked Lincoln.
"Maybe my Cyclizar." said Lana. As she uses her Rotom Phone to do the swap, Ronnie Anne looks around and sees a Tera Den.
"Hey, a Tera Den." said Ronnie Anne. She runs to the Tera Den and walks inside; once inside, she sees a crystallized, light brown, crocodile-like Pokemon with a black stripe on its snout and black stripes around its body, and a crystallized crown covered in spikes on top of it. Ronnie Anne takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Sandile, the Desert Croc Pokemon. It submerges itself in sand and moves as if swimming. This wise behavior keeps its enemies from finding it and maintains its temperature." said Ronnie Anne's Rotom Phone.
"Judging by that crown, Sandile's Tera Form's a dark type." said Ronnie Anne. "Sandile is part ground; could be what I need when I face Iono." She takes a pokeball from her waist. "Let's go, Fomantis!" She throws Fomantis' pokeball and releases her. "Fomantis, use Growth!" Fomantis grows and her attack and special attack strength increases. Sandile glares at Fomantis and its eyes glowed red; Fomantis slumps.
"That looked like Leer." said Ronnie Anne. "Fomantis, use Fury Cutter!" Fomantis leaps at Sandile and slashes it with one of her leaf arms, dealing super effective damage. Sandile lunges at Fomantis and bites her, dealing damage, and making her flinch. Sandile jumps up and down, releasing a shockwave that hits Fomantis, dealing moderate damage.
"Fomantis, Fury Cutter once more!" said Ronnie Anne. Fomantis leaps at Sandile and slashes it with her leaf arm, dealing more damage than the previous Fury Cutter. "Good thing Fury Cutter gets stronger after each consecutive time it's used." Sandile's Tera Form shatters and it collapses. Ronnie Anne takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Sandile, crystallizing on the way and it hits Sandile; it gets sucked into the pokeball and it falls to the ground. It wiggled a few times until it clicked.
"Woot woot; Sandile's mine." said Ronnie Anne. Sandile's pokeball vanishes and gets transported to storage. Ronnie Anne finds herself back in West Province Area One; she sees three pearls and several berries on the ground and picks them up.
"How did it go, Ronnie Anne?" asked Lincoln as he and the rest of the group walked over to her.
"Great; I caught a Sandile." replied Ronnie Anne. She then uses her Rotom Phone to look up Sandile's information. "This says Sandile's a girl, she knows Leer, Power Trip, Sand Attack, Hone Claws, Sand Tomb, Scary Face, Bite, Torment, and Bulldoze; she has the Moxie ability which increaes her attack strength after she defeats an opposing Pokemon."
"That ability would come in handy in a gym battle since gym leaders use more than one Pokemon." said Lincoln.
"Yeah." said Ronnie Anne.
Just then, they hear the sound of a vehicle nearby; they all look to see a navy blue van with a satellite on it heading towards them.
"Let's get out of the road." said Lincoln as everyone steps to the side, allowing the vehicle to pass by them; they all see it come to a stop and hear the engine shut off.
"What's going on?" asked Clyde. Just then, the back doors of the van open, and someone that everyone recognized leaps out of it and tackle hugs Lincoln to the ground.
"Hi, cutie!" said Coral as she nuzzles Lincoln's cheek, making him blush, and Ronnie Anne and Nemona growl.
"Oh, not you again!" said Nemona.
"Get off him!" Ronnie Anne shouts.
"Make me!" said Coral before she kisses Lincoln on the cheek, making Ronnie Anne snarl before she runs over and grabs Coral by her pigtails.
"I said get off him!" shouts Ronnie Anne before she yanks Coral off of the white-haired Loud.
"OW!" shouts Coral before she turns towards Ronnie Anne and shoves her. Nemona runs over to Lincoln and helps him up.
"Coral." another voice from inside the van says, making everyone look to see Sidian climb out of it.
"Aren't you that Sid guy we saw at Naranja Academy before?" asked Lana.
"Actually, my name is Sidian." said Sidian. "And we have a mission to focus on right now, Coral."
"Hey, I had my cutie in my arms before that girl forced me off of him!" said Coral.
"We're here to capture him, not for you to hug and kiss all over." said Sidian.
"Why can't I do both?" asked Coral with a pout.
"What do you two want with Lincoln?" asked Lynn.
"We know about his Bond Evolution ability." said Sidian.
"Bond Evolution?" Lucy replied.
"You mean that thing he did with Lycanroc?" asked Lana.
"Yes." said Sidian. "Master Gibeon is aware of him and his ability and wishes to study him and his Lycanroc."
"He'll be staying with me in my room." said Coral with a big grin, making Nemona growl before wrapping her arms around Lincoln.
"That was never said." said Sidian.
"You're no fun!" said Coral.
"Let's just focus on capturing the boy." said Sidian.
"You got it!" said Coral.
"If you want to get to Lincoln, then you'll have to go through us!" said Lynn.
"Yeah!" said Lincoln's friends and sisters as they formed a perimeter around the white-haired Loud.
"I love it when they want to do things the hard way." said Coral as she takes a pokeball off her waist and tosses it, releasing her Glalie.
"Let's make this quick." said Sidian before he takes a pokeball off his waist and tosses it, releasing a large, bipedal Pokemon that looked like it was made of square rocks, including the triangle-shaped array of white rocks framing its head and upper body, dark brown and regular brown arms with white hands with matching legs and feet.
"What's that?" asked Clyde as he points his Rotom Phone at Sidian's Pokemon.
"Garganacl, the Rock Salt Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Nacl. Garganacl will rub its fingertips together and sprinkle injured Pokémon with salt. Even severe wounds will promptly heal afterward." said Clyde's Rotom Phone.
"Looks like they wanna battle." said Lynn as she steps forward while pulling a pokeball off her waist.
"Careful, Lynn." said Lincoln. "A fully evolved Pokemon is usually a pretty high level one."
"I got this." said Lynn as she tosses her pokeball, releasing her Crabrawler.
"I'll help." said Lana as she tosses a pokeball, releasing her Whiscash.
"I wanna help Linky also." said Leni as she lets out her Finneon.
"It'll take more than you three to stop Garganacl." said Sidian.
"We'll see about that!" said Lynn.
"Who am I gonna battle?" asked Coral.
"I'll battle you." Lucy says from behind Coral, startling her.
"How did you get behind me?" asked Coral.
"She does that sometimes." said Lynn. Lucy then takes a pokeball off her waist and tosses it, releasing her Haunter.
"I'll battle also." said Ronnie Anne as she glares at Coral before letting out her Hawlucha.
"Careful, guys." said Lincoln. "I got a feeling that Sidian isn't gonna be a pushover."
"Relax, bro." said Lynn.
"Yeah, we got this." said Lana.
"Totes." said Leni.
"Crabrawler, use Brick Break on Garganacl!" said Lynn. Her Crabrawler slams one of her claws onto Garanacl, and though the attack did super effective damage, it didn't seem that fazed by it.
"Garganacl, use Headbutt." said Sidian. His Gargancl rushes at Crabrawler and rams her with its head, dealing damage, and making her flinch. "Now use Hammer Arm." His Garganacl brings down one of its arms hard onto Lynn's Crabrawler, dealing enough damage to knock her out.
"No way." said Lynn with stunned shock. Garganacl's legs give out a bit.
"What's wrong with it?" asked Lana.
"Hammer Arm lowers the speed of the Pokemon that used it." said Sidian.
"Finneon, use Rain Dance!" said Leni. Finneon does some midair twirling, making dark cloud appear overhead; rain soon starts to come down.
"Garganacl, use Rock Polish." said Sidian. His Pokemon's body becomes covered in a white light; when it fades, Garganacl's body was shinier.
"What did that move even do?" asked Lynn.
"Increased my Garanacl's speed." said Sidian.
"Finneon, use Water Pulse!" said Leni. Her Finneon releases a blast of pulsing water at Garganacl, hitting it, and dealing more super effective damage thanks to the rain she made before.
"Garganacl, use Salt Cure." said Sidian. His Pokemon forms white orbs in its hands before releasing blasts of salt from them that hit Finneon, dealing more damage than expected. "Salt Cure is more effective against steel and water types."Now Garganacl, use Rock Tomb." His Garganacl drops a bunch of rocks onto Finneon, dealing enough super effective damage to knock her out.
"Finneon!" said Leni as she runs to her Pokemon.
"This guy's good." said Lynn.
"Well, we're not letting these two get Lincoln." said Lana. "Whiscash, use Muddy Water!" Her Whiscash releases a large wave of brown water from his body and washes over Garganacl, dealing super effective damage and more thanks to Finneon's rain.
"These kids are getting on my nerves more than Coral." said Sidian. "Garganacl, use Headbutt." His Garganacl rushes at Whiscash and rams him with its head, dealing damage.
"Whiscash, use Aqua Tail!" said Lana. Her Whiscash swings his tail while it was covered in water and strikes Garganacl with it, dealing super effective damage; the rain suddenly stops.
"Enough of this." said Sidian. "Garganacl, use Hammer Arm." His Garanacl swings its arm down onto Whiscash, dealing damage, driving him into the ground, and knocking him out.
"Whiscash!" said Lana.
"You've lost." said Sidian. "Now hand over the boy."
"No way!" said Lynn.
With Coral, Lucy, and Ronnie Anne; their Pokemon were having an intense battle themselves.
"Glalie, use Bite on Haunter!" said Coral. Her Glalie chomps down on Haunter, dealing super effective damage, and making him flinch.
"Haunter." said Lucy with what could be worry in her voice.
"Hawlucha, use Aerial Ace!" said Ronnie Anne. Hawlucha flies at Glalie and slams into it, dealing damage.
"Glalie, use Ice Spinner on Hawlucha!" said Coral. Glalie spins around and turns into an icy twister; it rams into Hawlucha, dealing super effective damage.
"Hawlucha, use Wing Attack!" said Ronnie Anne. Hawlucha flies at Glalie and strikes it with one of his wings, dealing damage.
"Haunter, use Hex." said Lucy. Haunter forms a ball of black energy with a red eye in the middle above her; dark blue energy rings fire out of the eye and they hit Glalie, dealing damage.
"Glalie, use Blizzard!" said Coral. Glalie releases a blizzard from its mouth and it hits Hawlucha, dealing super effective damage, and knocking him to the ground; he struggles to get up.
"She's tougher than I thought she'd be." said Lucy.
"Well, we're not letting them get Lincoln!" said Ronnie Anne.
"Don't think that you two will keep me from getting my cutie." said Coral with a grin. "Glalie, use Sheer Cold!" Glalie begins to glow with a white aura before a surge of cold emanates from its body that washes over Hawlucha and Haunter, knocking them both out.
"Haunter." said Lucy as she and Ronnie Anne run over to their Pokemon.
"You are not on our level." said Coral.
"Now this is the last time we're going to say this; hand over the boy." said Sidian.
"No way!" said Lana as she and her sisters stand in front of their only brother.
"Garganacl, retrieve the boy." said Sidian. Garganacl starts to advance towards the Loud siblings. Suddenly, something flies over everyone, making them look to see an orange, dragonlike Pokemon with horns, navy blue wings, and a flame on the end of its tail, soaring overhead with a man with tan skin and white-gray hair, wearing a brown leather jacket with yellow fur trim over a black shirt, pilot goggles on his head, beige slacks, and black boots with yellow soles and red laces.
"Who's that?" asked Lynn.
"And what's that Pokemon he's riding on?" asked Lincoln as he points his Rotom Phone at the flying Pokemon.
"Charizard, the Flame Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Charmander. If Charizard becomes truly angered, the flame at the tip of its tail burns in a light blue shade." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"What's a Charmander?" asked Lana.
"Probably a Pokemon we haven't seen before." said Clyde.
"Oh, not Friede again!" said Coral. From atop the Charizard, a small yellow Pokemon with black-tipped ears, and a lightning bolt-shaped tail, wearing a sea captain's hat leaps down and lands in between Lincoln's group, and Coral and Sidian.
"O-M-GOSH, THAT POKEMON IS, TOTES, ADORBS!" said Leni. She then points her Rotom Phone at it to see what it was.
"Pikachu, the Mouse Pokemon, and the evolved form of Pichu. When it is angered, it immediately discharges the energy stored in the pouches in its cheeks." said Leni's Rotom Phone.
"Hey, we're busy here!" said Coral.
"This is troublesome." said Sidian.
"Pikachu, use Volt Tackle on Garganacl!" said the man now known as Friede. The Pikachu charges at Sidian's Garganacl as its body becomes covered in electricity and slams into the rock Pokemon with such force that it's sent flying past Coral and Sidian and into a cliff wall where it passes out.
"Whoa." said Lincoln.
"Wouldn't wanna get hit with that tackle." said Lynn. Coral looks at the Pikachu with anger in her eyes.
"I'm trying to get some alone time with my cutie and you're ruining everything!" Coral yelled.
"What do you want with the boy?" Friede asked.
"That is none of your concern." said Sidian.
"Glalie, use Self-Destruct!" shouts Coral.
"Take cover!" said Lincoln as he and his sisters and friends dove to the ground, just as Glalie exploded, making a cloud of dust cover the area.
"Why did you have to do that, Coral?" Sidian asked his associate.
"They made me seriously angry!" said Coral.
With Lincoln's group, they were all getting up off the ground; Friede's Charizard lands near them as his Pikachu hops on with him.
"All aboard, everyone!" Friede said.
"Can that Pokemon carry all of us?" asked Lincoln.
"Not on Charizard." Friede said as a strong gust of wind appears, blowing away all the dust; Lincoln's group looks around until they see, to their amazement, a massive flying vehicle that looked like a combination of a ship and a blimp.
"WOW!" shouted Lana.
"I meant on that." said Friede. A small hatchway opens up on the side of the ship and a ramp comes out.
"Should we get on?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"Would you rather let that Coral girl get her hands on Lincoln?" Lynn replied with a grin.
"Good enough for me." said Nemona as she grabs Lincoln's hand and starts pulling him up the ramp with Lincoln's sisters and other friends running up after him.
"Give me back my cutie!" shouted Coral.
"He's not yours!" shouted Ronnie Anne.
"Charizard, use Smokescreen!" said Friede. His Charizard releases a plume of smoke that washes over Coral and Sidian, making them cough.
"Cheap trick!" said Coral.
"This complicates things." said Sidian.
As soon as Lincoln's group finished getting on the airship, the hatchway closes and it flies away; but before the ship got out of Coral and Sidian's sight, the latter takes a small device and throws it at the ship where it sticks to the side.
"My cutie got away!" shouts Coral.
"It's fine." said Sidian. "I put a tracking device on the side of the ship."
"Good." said Coral.
"We'll get the boy soon enough." said Sidian.
"I hope so." said Coral as she giggles at the thought of being with Lincoln again.
Lincoln, his sisters, and his friends have had a close call with Coral and Sidian. Who is Friede, and why did he help Lincoln's group. Wait and find out.
