Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, the assault on the Skull Ship began. Black Adam sent the living lightning across continents with the aid of Hawkgirl's mace, and once the lightning was sent cross the planet, everybody arrived to fight off Brainiac's response force deployed when the shield was destroyed. Meanwhile, Blaze, Batman, Supergirl, Belial Aether, and Black Diamond made their way in through the hole in the hull. In response to the attack, Brainiac told Doctor Fate, who Darkblood left behind as a sign of their new alliance, to summon him. Things are about to kick off, so let's not waste a moment! Here we go!
(Our scene picks up in Brainiac's control room, where he and Doctor Fate are observing the entrance of Blaze and her team through the hole in the Skull Ship's hull)
Brainiac: They may be our enemies, but I must give them credit for creativity. They know my knowledge of magic is incomplete, and used it against me.
Doctor Fate: That will not be true much longer. Once Lord Darkblood arrives, they will be finished.
Brainiac: And when was he supposed to get here again?
Doctor Fate: Soon.
(At that point, a flash of dark flame erupts behind Brainiac and Doctor Fate, the two turn around expecting to see Darkblood arrive, but instead, they find Enchantress and Horror-Show)
Brainiac: What is this? I requested Darkblood's presence.
Enchantress: My husband sends his regret that he cannot make it. He's pursuing a lead on something else. But he has sent me, and an associate of my choice in his place.
Doctor Fate: (Looking over Horror-Show) I didn't expect to see you again.
Horror-Show: You actually got that fool Nelson under your control. Tell Darkblood I'm impressed.
Enchantress: That is not Kent Nelson.
Horror-Show: (Catching the concept) Wait, that's the Helm of Fate itself?!
Doctor Fate: Exactly.
Horror-Show: Consider me extra impressed. Darkblood's good, for a fleshed one.
Enchantress: Watch who you mock, ghoul. You may not respect my husband, but last I checked, you vowed to obey him.
Horror-Show: Why do you think I'm here?
Enchantress: Exactly. Now, getting to the point. What is the situation?
Brainiac: Fate didn't tell you?
Doctor Fate: I told Lord Darkblood. I guess the lead was urgent if he didn't have time to inform his messengers.
Enchantress: (Reading the screen behind them) I think I get the gist of it. Blaze and some of her friends have made it into the ship, and you need our help to defend your fortress.
Brainiac: An apt summary.
Enchantress: (As her hands glow with sickly green magic) Doable.
Brainiac: Excellent.
(As the new quartet of villains looks back on Blaze and her team entering, we switch through the screen to their location, just as the hole in the hull repairs itself.)
Blaze: (Not expecting the hole to repair itself) Well, there goes any hope of getting outside help.
Belial Aether: Assuming we can't take over the ship and disable the shield for good.
Supergirl: I wouldn't consider that too likely to happen.
Black Diamond: Hope for the best, prepare for the worst, they always say.
Batman: Blaze, what's the plan?
Blaze: Being honest, I didn't really have one detailed out beyond getting in. All I know is we need to find Spyro, Cynder, and Superman, take out Brainiac, restore the cities he's taken. You know, the obvious. I didn't quite work out how we were going to do that, because I had no idea what to expect once we got in here. I had hoped either you or Kara would know what to expect.
Supergirl: I've got nothing.
Belial Aether: Looks like we're going to have to improvise a little. (To Batman) I understand you might have a problem with that, since you've got backup plans for your backup plans.
Batman: Is now really the time to joke?
Belial Aether: Just trying to lighten the mood.
Black Diamond: At this rate, the only thing that'll lighten any mood is accomplishing our goals.
Blaze: I'm with Black Diamond on this one. And we're not going to accomplish anything by standing here. Let's get moving.
(Wanting to not waste any more time, the quintet starts making their way through the Skull Ship, hoping to find anything that can help them accomplish their goals. But as they head deeper, the scene shifts back to Brainiac and company, looking over the surveillance system)
Enchantress: And so the game begins.
Horror-Show: Just tell me where they are, and I'll go exterminate them myself.
Enchantress: And where's the fun in that?
Brainiac: This is not a time for fun. Especially since there are more than them to worry about.
Enchantress: (Not amused) You had better be joking.
Doctor Fate: Sadly, mistress, he is not. Spyro, Cynder, and Superman are also aboard this ship, and apparently loose.
Brainiac: Out of custody, yes, but not unaccounted for. (Pulls up their locations on the security system) I have been tracking them since they escaped my study. They will not get away.
Enchantress: Horror-Show, perhaps you will have some task to accomplish. If you can stop the two dragons from reuniting with the rest...
Horror-Show: Shall I kill them then?
Doctor Fate: No. Brainiac's bargain with the Master requires them to be alive.
Horror-Show: Well, he's no fun.
Enchantress: Just bring them to us alive.
Brainiac: Our alliance did not say anything about the Blaze girl, if I recall.
Enchantress: She was my husband's ex in a past life. Don't harm her either. (Flares her hands with green magic) I want to be the one who snuffs out Blaze.
Horror-Show: You guys are way too dramatic.
(With that remark, Horror-Show leaves on his mission, as our tale ends for today)
And that looks like a good spot to end off on for today. So, everybody is running around the Skull Ship trying to find each other. This is going to be interesting. But at least we don't have Darkblood to deal with. So, will everybody find each other before the villains can find them? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
