Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, Blaze and Belial Aether flew to Kahndaq to check in with Wonder Woman and Black Adam. Before they landed, Belial and Blaze discussed what's really going on. Blaze honestly doesn't trust Wonder Woman on the intel she was given, but she's really exploring Kahndaq to find out if the Living Lightning and the Blood of Olympus from her list of items are indeed related to Wonder Woman and Black Adam. After landing, the two teams met up and immediately Black Adam and Belial started arguing before the ladies brought them down. They discussed Black Adam's dreams and the motive for possibly attacking Kahndaq was made plain: The Rock of Eternity. So they head out to prepare their defenses. Now what awaits in Black Adam's kingdom? Read on to discover...

(Our scene picks up in some kind of courtyard in Kahndaq, where Blaze, Belial Aether, Black Adam, and Wonder Woman enter the scene. The group appears to start making their way towards some kind of ruin, but immediately Blaze's eye is caught by a familiar silver helmet)

Blaze: (Looking at the helmet) Is that who's I think it is?

Wonder Woman: Indeed. It's Peacemaker's

Blaze: Damn. (Picks up Peacemaker's helmet) I know he was one of your most loyal.

Black Adam: A good soldier through and through.

Belial Aether: Really? He sounds like he was a prick.

Blaze: You'd be right. He was.

Wonder Woman: Since we're working together, you wouldn't happen to know what happened, would you?

Blaze: Are you accusing us of taking out Peacemaker?

Black Adam: To be frank, yes.

Blaze: I doubt you'll take our word for this, but I will answer honestly. No, we didn't take out Peacemaker. Being honest, I didn't even know he was still active until I saw his wrecked helmet. But whoever did went absolutely ham on him.

Blaze: So you're as clueless as we are then?

Blaze: Pretty much. But whoever they are, I'd like to shake their hand honestly.

(Wonder Woman doesn't even grace that with a response beyond a glare. Blaze doesn't even need to look at her to know she's staring daggers into the top of her head, so changes the subject)

Blaze: Alright, since the Rock of Eternity is the primary target of any attack that may happen here. We had best fortify the entrance. Where is it?

Black Adam: (Points to a jackal headed sphinx statue near the edge of the courtyard) That is it right there.

Belial Aether: (With a slight chuckle) I see even you trust the image of Anubis to guard the doorway. So, what is it the entrance to a tunnel or something?

Wonder Woman: No.

Black Adam: The Rock of Eternity is in a pocket dimension. I've refrained from opening the gateway since Brainiac's invasion.

Belial Aether: Because it would attract him about as much as the city itself. Right.

Black Adam: Regardless, if that door is opened, it will only be a matter of time before our enemies will descend upon us.

Blaze: Assuming they're not here already.

(As Blaze makes that ominous remark, the scene zooms out from their location and into the surrounding dunes, where a trio of femme fatales can be seen traversing the sands: Enchantress, Raven, and Killer Frost have arrived.)

Killer Frost: Did I ever tell you two how much I hate the desert?

Raven: Yes. Several times.

Killer Frost: To be honest, the heat isn't the thing I hate most about this. It's really the sand. It's coarse, it's gritty, and it gets everywhere. I really don't like sand.

Enchantress: Quit your whining, Frost. Once we get to the Rock of Eternity, we'll be out of here and you won't need to complain about the sand.

Killer Frost: I'm surprised you're both taking this so well. Neither of you strike me as particularly warm blooded.

Enchantress: I've walked through the molten deserts of Hell. This place may as well be a walk in freezer in comparison.

Raven: And having actual demon blood in my veins helps.

Killer Frost: Still! I'm a freaking heat vampire and I've been on fire all day!

Enchantress: Enough! We have a task to accomplish here. And if I hear...

(At this moment, Enchantress appears to snap into a trance, she's receiving a message from somewhere, or more accurately, someone)

Killer Frost: What's with her?

Raven: Our mutual husband must be talking to her

(After a second, Enchantress exits her trance)

Enchantress: Just got an update from back home. Our beloved husband is sending us some aid.

Killer Frost: What? Does Darkblood not trust us?

Enchantress: He does, I'm sure. But an extra hand couldn't hurt. Anyways, it's beyond dispute. They're coming in now. Be prepared.

(With that, one of Doctor Fate's ankh portals opens up, allowing two unseen figures to step through, though one of them is clearly carrying a bow and the other appears to be wearing fishnets. So it's pretty clear who these two are. The sadistic grins from Darkblood's wives clearly makes the point.)

Raven: Oh, this will be fun.

(And as the now quintet forms in the sands outside Kahndaq, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good place to wrap up for now. I've put this one off for long enough, honestly. Next time, the siege of Kahndaq begins. And it looks like Darkblood's wives aren't alone. It might be pretty obvious who Darkblood sent to help them out, but for those who can guess, don't spoil it for anyone. Also, is anybody else noticing that Killer Frost is acting unusual? It seems something is up there. More on that later. Anyways, next time, enemy forces converge on Kahndaq. So how's the battle going to shake down? Tune in next time to start finding out! Same time... same channel!
