Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, two archvillains met up. Darkblood appeared before Brainiac, who is at this point the only member of the Society left. And Darkblood knew this, so he used this opportunity to present the Coluan with a dire proposition. Darkblood will give Brainiac the secrets of Aether and the Elements, and in return Brainiac will hand Spyro and Cynder over to Darkblood. Brainiac is a bit hesitant, as his calculations show near equal odds of success and failure from this venture. So Darkblood leaves an assurance policy, leaving Doctor Fate as a guard aboard the Skull Ship. But neither is truly sure the other won't betray them, something Darkblood plays to his advantage. Because by the slimmest margins, the results turn out in Darkblood's favor. And sure enough, with a devil's handshake, the bargain is sealed. And that where we left off. So, what comes next? Read on to discover...

(The scene opens up in the Legion's base's hangar, where the Javelin 7 is being prepared for the assault on the Skull Ship. And once again, we see Blaze writing in her journal. Is this her jotting down her feelings about what's about to happen, or is it something more? I'll show you what it says, then I'll let you decide...)

"This is it. Our final strike against Brainiac. Just wanted to get one more entry in this thing in case I don't make it out. We have no real idea if this is going to work. We don't know if Black Adam's lightning can actually break Brainiac's shield. We don't know if Hawkgirl's mace can let us transmit across continents. We don't know if we stand a chance against Brainiac once we get in there, if we get in there at all. And above all, we don't know if Spyro and Cynder are even still alive in there. I could care less about Superman, though. There's so much we don't know. But then again, this isn't the first time I've been in this situation. All I can think of is our final charge against the Regime all those years ago. Drago was in the same situation then that I am now. We somehow pulled out of that one, for better or worse I can't say for certain. But... oh what am I kidding? Somebody needs to be confident in this. And if it's not going to be me, then it won't be anyone, I don't think. One thing's for certain. We're going to need all the luck we can get."

(As Blaze places down her pen, she reminisces back to the last time she was in this world, recalling the last time she prepped for a massive battle in this universe. Entering her old memories, she's immediately confronted by Dragnarok, back when he was alive)

Dragnarok: Blaze? (Placing a caring paw on her shoulder) Everything alright?

Blaze: (Feeling the paw on her shoulder) Just... a little nervous about all of this. I mean, this is Superman we're going up against. We've seen what he can do, do we even stand a chance?

Dragnarok: (Throwing a caring wing over her) I believe we do. I believe we're the ones who can make it happen.

Blaze: (Struggling to hide her blushing cheek) You'll forgive me for not being sure of our ability in this situation.

Dragnarok: Trust me, my little dreamsicle, you'll have everything you need, if you just believe. I believe in you, and I know you believe in us, deep down.

Blaze: (With some of her confidence restored) Well, if you're confident, I suppose I don't have that much to worry about.

Dragnarok: That's right. (Kisses her cheek) Now come on, the One Earth Regime's not going to take itself down.

(And just like that, the past version of Dragnarok walks off, as a voice seems to be snapping Blaze back to reality, eventually revealing itself to be Belial Aether)

Belial Aether: Blaze, are you okay?

Blaze: (Adjusting to being back in the real world for a second) Just, a little nervous is all.

Belial Aether: Believe me, you're not the only one. This has all of us nerve wracked. I'm just glad Kori and I chatted about this in advance.

Blaze: (Knowing exactly what Belial Aether is talking about) I heard you guys talking last night. It sounded... hopeful.

Belial Aether: (Knowing that Blaze knows exactly what went on between the two the previous night) It was... magical.

(Blaze can hardly suppress a giggle at this, throwing Belial Aether for a loop)

Blaze: I wonder what Dick Grayson would say.

Belial Aether: I'm not sure.

(At this point, Hawkgirl and Blue Beetle approach)

Hawkgirl: We're just about ready to depart. But Vandal Savage said you wanted to speak with us first?

Blaze: Yes. There's a reason I put Jaime on this.

Blue Beetle: You mean beyond trying to transmit the lightning?

Blaze: Exactly. Jaime, do you think Khajit Da can collect a sample of the lightning?

Blue Beetle: Let me check. (Mentally converses with the Scarab) We should be able to.

Blaze: Excellent, it's essential that you do.

Blue Beetle: Why?

Hawkgirl: (Knowing exactly why it's important) I'll get you caught up later kid. Right now, we'd better find your fiery friend and set off. Cyborg's got a boom tube ready to take us to Kahndaq.

Blaze: Good. (To Belial Aether) Is the Javelin ready?

Belial Aether: We're ready to fly, Bruce is already at the controls, just waiting on your command to take off.

Blaze: Good. (Checks the time) Dawn nears, we must be off.

(And with the last minute precautions sorted out, the group sets off on their missions, and as the Javelin 7 takes off, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good spot to end for today. Next time, the final battle against Brainiac begins. So be sure to tune in for that! Same time... same channel!
