Jun decided it was probably a good idea to go home for a bit, if anything to just check up on Motoko. It shouldn't really take much longer than a minute or two, maybe a half hour if they decide to eat before he left. Hopefully his sister had softened up when it came to burritos and they could swing by a... what's that music.
It didn't put Jun on edge, nor was it very lyric heavy. If anything it was kind of... bouncy and upbeat. That's not really something Motoko would ever be listening to, maybe that "Ichi" guy he heard about her doing odd jobs with before. He wasn't going to judge if that was the case, recalling his days as an old Silverhand fanboy who would grab whatever music could be salvaged off the net or memorabilia could be found in the dump.
"You'd be fallen in love. Oh oho oho oho!"
He opened the door, expecting about three or more of Motoko's friends and crew to be there with her. Instead, it was just his sister, standing in front of a mirror in... a full leopard outfit. Gloves, shirt, pants, face paint, all with a leopard print.
Then the rest of the song played.
"Cali-fornia Girls! We're unforgettable! Daisy Dukes! Bikinis on top!"
As the lyrics played, Motoko started dancing. First throwing her fist in front of her, before swinging her arms over her head and to her side... and then she saw him.
"KYAHHH! JUN-NII WHY ARE YOU HEREEEEE!" He didn't even have it in him to say anything...
For several solid minutes he could only stand there and stare at the girl as she yelled, cried in embarrassment, and throw things at him. Among the thrown items was a stuffed tiger doll with a tongue sticking out, a plastic robot action figure, and a doll with a single red pigtail.
Maybe he should have just been back sooner, or should he have been away longer?
Either way, maybe his sister should get some new friends. Her current ones are clearly a bad influence.
First of all, why did I write this? It gave me second hand embarrassment when the intrusive thoughts of this scene popped up in my brain.
Second of all, I hope you at least got a little chuckle or something out of this. I did giggle to myself when I looked at memes to try to put the dance to typed words.
Lastly, funny sibling moments go brrrr.
