Anne looked through the opening in the side of the ship, seeing the dozens of other ships in the harbor. The canons were quiet now, and most of the crew had gotten shore leave.
"It seems so calm here right now," she said.
Frederick nodded. "It's been cleaned up quite a bit, as well, otherwise I wouldn't have dreamed of bringing you down here, even with most of the men on shore."
"Well, it's quite interesting," Anne said. "How much more of the ship will you show me today?"
"I doubt you would like the smell down below," he laughed.
