Everyone had agreed that they needed a break, however when
Penelope and Bentley tried to do their own, they slowly started to make an idea to get Bethanie down.
Bentley wrote some plan ideas up and was going to ask Penelope's opinion, he saw her staring at the laptop screen.
…
Penelope has started to feel jealous how Kate has put Julia into her place. She isn't angry at them, just upset.
"Penelope?" Bentley asked, where she blinked her eyes and looked at him.
"I know that look. You are thinking of someone." Bentley said, starting to guess Penelope's thought.
Penelope put her laptop on the bed, raised her hands and smiled, still unhappily.
"Busted."
A clock on the wall and the laptop whirring were the only sounds in the room.
"Bentley, I… I think that I have lost a friend, forever." Penelope said, swallowing a piece on her throat.
Seeing how that hurt Penelope, hurt Bentley as well. He knew clearly what those two had been through.
…
Both have lost something in their lives and got something in their lives, they have moved in their lives and then changed in their lives.
Bentley put his hand on Penelope's shoulder.
"Penelope, I saw how good friends you were years ago. She will apologize, when Kate's ready for that."
"You really think so?" Penelope asked carefully hoping that it might come true.
"I know her."
They started to work again, but Penelope's mind didn't work how she wanted. She looked at Bentley who had started to write.
"Bentley, is it okay that I will do something else? I don't wanna give you an extra job, but…"
"That's okay, I actually got heureka." Bentley answered, while writing a plan on the tablet.
"Thanks, I'm on the other side if you need help." Penelope said and shut her laptop.
Penelope opened her bag, where she took her pencil case and blueprint.
"What are you planning?" Bentley asked, looking at the blueprint.
"This is a very early project, but I hope that this will help us, in the future." Penelope answered and looked a little bit more herself.
Kate sat on the stairs, tightening her shoes. No matter how she focused on her shoelaces, she always got a flashback when she had seen Penelope after a long time ago.
Kate wants to talk to her, but something is between them.
…
A large wall which is endless, a mountain which is huge or then a hole, which is endless.
Kate looked over her left shoulder, when she heard Penelope's walking to the kitchen table. She looked back to her shoes, but blinked, being sure that she saw something familiar.
Kate looked again over her shoulder, but now carefully and felt how her breath stopped.
Kate saw a pencil case which she had given to Penelope, after her pencil case zip had broken.
Kate gulped, feeling something in her throat and tried to focus again on her shoes.
*Years ago*
"Oh no!" Penelope groaned, when they got ready to go to China.
"Please don't say it's your RC-car." Kate looked to Penelope, who held something in her hand.
"No, luckily." Penelope sighed and showed her pencil case, which zip was on her other hand.
"Well if this help that has happened to me as well."
"What a coincidence." Penelope said and started to empty her pencil case on the bed.
Kate looked in her backpack and took her pencil case, which boys had given to her after the Italy mission.
"Here." Kate said and gave it a green pencil case, where it could fit many pencils, erasers and couple rulers.
Penelope looked for a cat eared girl, who's the youngest in the team, but felt to be around her age.
"From me?" Penelope asked and took a pencil case.
"Yeah, it was actually from the boys. I think they just took that from the Sale basket and gave it to me like a 'Happy birthday, we didn't forget your day!'" Kate joked, where they both laughed.
Kate heard Penelope saying her name, which she first ignored, but then she heard her name again.
"Kate, that wasn't me, really. Le Paradox-"
"Le Paradox, Le Paradox, blah blah blaah." Kate snarled and stood up, to look at her dryly.
"Here's some words for you; I don't care what happened to that skunk or that other Penelope, or even that crazy Doctor. The only thing I care, is how my friends feel, when they're hurt." Kate answered to her and closed the door behind her.
…
Penelope sat on the chair and hid her face in her hands, when Murray came out of his room.
"Are you okay?" he asked, keeping another hand on the slide door, which came to the backyard.
"I'm going to, thanks." Penelope decided to say, where Murray nodded silently.
He was going to open the terrace door, when he looked behind him.
"If you want, I could go after her."
"No Murray, don't put yourself into this mess. I'll talk to her when she's ready, but now I want to focus on this thing." Penelope said and looked at Murray, before rolling a blueprint open.
