Honestly it was between Charizard and Infernape, because we know a lot more of the turmoil that Chimchar went through before joining Ash, where as we know the troubles Ash had with Charizard.
"Bouffalant use Head Charge!" Hugh called out, leading the team of him, Rosa, and Elliot outside of the arena.
"We can't just leave them like this!" Rosa argued.
"We're not, if Elliot thinks he can shut down whatever they used to fuse Kyurem and Reshiram, then we need to focus on that first." Hugh reminded, as attacks flew overhead.
"Up ahead, that must be the air ship Virgil was talking about!" Elliot said, seeing it just outside of the tunnels coming in for a landing.
"Are any of you Elliot?" A guy with brown hair dressed like Virgil asked as the trio ran up.
"Yeah, that's me, are you Virgil's brother?" Elliot asked.
"Names Davy, I was told to get you all on that sky ship, come on." Davy replied.
"Emboar, Bouffalant return!" Hugh called back, as he followed Rosa and Elliot onto the craft.
"Alright, we'll be there in no time." Davy said, as the craft took off into the air.
"Umm, we have company." Rosa said, seeing a few Swoobat flying after them.
"I've got it Eelektross, Flygon come on out!" Hugh called.
The Swoobat launched at the two mid air Pokemon, both having to take the hit in order to now have the trainers get hit.
"Eelectross use Flamethrower, and Flygon combine it with your Fire Blast!"
The two fire attacks combined into a swirling star of flames, engulfing the trio of Swoobat causing them to fall back and retreat as they approached the Team Plasma air ship.
"Alright Bisharp we need an opening!" Davy said, sending out the dark and steel type, its blades slicing through the metal hull of the ship with ease. "I'll wait here with the ship, you three go on ahead."
"Eelektross, Flygon stay with the hover craft and protect it." Hugh commanded as the three trainers hopped off into the air ship.
After a lot of running through halls and exploring, the trio came upon a set of warps.
"There the control room!" Elliot said.
"The cells are that way, my sisters Purrloin might be there." Hugh said, the two single mindedly running through the warps.
"Wait! We were supposed to stay together." Rosa groaned, about to head to the control room as the warp turned off. "That's not good."
"Min Min." Minccino agreed.
"Let's go for the cells and then maybe Hugh can help us get to Elliot." Rosa said, turning around to see the other warp offline. "Okay not a problem, we'll just head back to Davy."
Meanwhile back on the ground
"Kyurem use Ice Burn!" Ghetsis called out.
"Charizard use Flamethrower! Pikachu use Iron Tail!"
"Kingambit use Kowtow Cleave!"
"Sawk use Close Combat!"
Charizard melted the storm of ice as Pikachu and Kingambit sliced some shards into pieces, leaving the part handled by Sawk being sent rocketing straight up into the ship.
"Hope that didn't hit anyone." Ash admitted seeing the ice spikes nothing through the hull.
Back on the ship
"Ahhh!" Rosa exclaimed as every exit was now blocked by ice.
"Don't scream yet little girl." A member of the Shadow Triad commented appearing from a wall.
"No, save your screams for later, we want them to be caused by us." The second said.
"So please, let us savor them." The third said, all three sending out a duo of Bisharp.
"Now Bisharp, use Slash!" All three exclaimed.
"Aiyeee!" Rosa screamed running out of the way of the attacks. "Any time you want to show yourself would be appreciated."
"Sorry to tell you this little girl." The second member said.
"But we're the only ones here." The third shadow triad pointed out.
"No one else is getting in or out." The first member proclaimed.
"Not talking to you." Rosa said, ducking as an ice pillar shattered.
"What was that?!" The first member of the triad exclaimed.
A green and black blur whooshed across the ice pillars, shattering each one as it left it.
"Stop whatever you're doing!" The second shadow triad said. "Bisharp use Night Slash!"
Two Bisharp launched at Rosa as the remaining blurs began spinning, green turning to red as the Bisharp were thrown back.
"What is that thing?!" The third shadow triad said.
"Melo. ETTA!" The Pokemon exclaimed spinning in a pirouette.
"Thank you for sticking with me." Rosa said, as she sent out Herdier. "Now Herdier use Helping Hand!"
Herdier jumped up and down, avoiding the group of Bisharp as Meloetta struck them, sending each flying into walls respectively.
"I didn't sign up for this kind of fighting power." The third member of the shadow triad said, disappearing into smoke.
"Don't run away, she's nothing!" The first said. "Absol get in there!"
"You too Banette!" The second member called out.
"Herdier use Bite! Mincinno use Attract!" Rosa called out.
Mincinno drew the attention of all the Pokemon, allowing Herdier to sink her fangs into the Banette as Meloetta struck the Bisharp and Absol once more sending them all into a KO.
"We don't get paid enough to deal with that kind of power, I'm out too." The second shadow triad said, disappearing into a cloud of smoke with his Pokemon.
"Cowards!" The first and now final member of the shadow triad said, turning back around to see his Bisharp and Absol all knocked out with Rosa and her Herdier and Mincinno as well as the mysterious Meloetta all still standing. "You should have been the easy option, no matter, you're still stuck in here." He said, disappearing as well.
"Alright Meloetta, while you're out want to help me finding my friends?" Rosa asked.
"Mellll." Meloetta said with a singsong voice before slamming into and collapsing a wall.
"Guess we're going this way." Rosa said, following Meloetta with Herdier hot on her heels, Mincinno riding atop the dog.
