( Code Total Drama Reality Introduction Song Starts )

( No Pain No Game (From Btoom!) )

(The ending of this story)

The song starts, showing the end of Code Lyoko where the Supercomputer is shut down and the former Lyoko Warriors leave the factory seemingly for the last time.

(I will hold it close as I wonder so aimlessly)

A single computer is shown coming online, lines of 1s and 0s streaming across the screen before the screen is replaced by a glowing sphere with the Eye of XANA, at least eight variations appearing on it. From the sphere came lines of data emerging in eight different directions. The lines of data formed into various regions, all of them floating landscapes resembling a forest, a desert, an arctic, mountains, volcanoes, swamp and a jungle.

(Into this new world)

The new lands orbited the golden sphere as the camera zoomed in on the Eye of XANA staring at the screen.

(The game has only just begun)

The Eye then flashes red, and the sphere turns black.

(I can see it in your eyes)

A girl with pink hair sits on her bed, panting as she turns to see two pictures of her friends and her father. She smiles briefly but that smile turns to a look of horror as both her friends and her father are engulfed by a great darkness and the red Eye shines down on her. The Supercomputer, thought to be shut down, is reactivated and there is a flash of light.

(This is where tomorrow brings a new game)

Aelita is shown alone both in the real world and in Lyoko, hordes of monsters surrounding her.

Geoff is first shown in his human form before transitioning to his Lyoko form.

Next to him is Bridgette, holding her surfboard in the real world before changing into her Lyoko form, her board splitting into two swords.

(It's time to learn that pain is gain)

Gwen is shown sitting in front of tree, looking up and is instantly changed into her Lyoko Avatar, brandishing her scythe.

DJ is shown in the woods, tending to a little rabbit as he stands up and morphs into his Lyoko form, turning to face the camera with a stern glare.

LeShawna is last, ready to fight in both her human form and her Lyoko form.

(Ready fight!)

William and a dark reflection of himself as XANA's General are shown standing back-to-back, turning to face each other and swinging their swords.

The screen is split by the two swords, showing New Lyoko as the title appears:

CODE: TOTAL DRAMA REALITY

(I gotta crush and paint away the anguish)

Aelita is shown first, sitting at the computer before she is then shown as the DJ of a party. She morphs into her Lyoko form and conjures an energy field.

This was followed quickly by Geoff wildly waving his hat while riding something with Bridgette holding onto him by the back.

(Of my past for the sake of my future)

Gwen is shown next, drawing in her sketchbook and signifying with a sad face as Duncan, Courtney and Trent appear behind her, their backs facing in her direction.

(Until my life comes to an end)

DJ is shown running for his life from appears to be a giant bear.

(I am gonna fight to tear apart that destiny)

LeShawna is shown next, standing confidently with her team, ready to face whatever crazy challenge comes next.

(Aoh, break out and start a revolution)

The antagonists of Total Drama: Heather, Courtney, Justin, Anne Maria, Jo, Lightning, Scott and Alejandro in the Total Drama Machine are shown from left to right, grinning or glaring at the camera, holding up an imaginary case of the million- dollar prize money in their hands. Chris Mclean is shown next, arms crossed as the chair he is sitting in spins to meet the camera, zooming out to show it is the monitor room for the Total Drama show.

A dark shadow appears above them, scrawny in appearance and hair falling over the left eye as it glares darkly at the screen.

(Until you find the answer you're looking for)

The camera then shows Aelita with the new Lyoko Warriors, the TD Lyoko Warriors and William sitting around a campfire, all of them staring up into the starry night sky, a picture of her friends and father resting in Aelita's hands.

(I'll challenge all my limits)

Aelita in her Lyoko form with her wings sprouting from her back is shown, clutching Mr. Puck in her hands as she seemingly falls back, her friends and relatives in the background.

The camera moves down to show William kneeling down, clutching his sword in both hands. As this happens, the camera moves down, showing depictions of the TD Lyoko Warriors and other characters in the background.

The camera continues to move down to show Geoff pulling Bridgette into sharing a picture with LeShawna bringing her face up over Bridgette's shoulder, the three of them in their Lyoko forms. While this happens, Harold, Lindsay, Beth, Trent, Katie and Sadie are shown in the background.

Below them is Gwen with her arms and legs curled around her with her cape swirling behind her like wings while Heather and Courtney are shown in the background glaring at each other followed by Sierra clutching Cody who looks distressed, Eva crossing her arms along with B and Beth both waving, the latter looking very shy. Behind Gwen appeared Dawn in her own Lyoko form in a meditative pose while upside down while facing Gwen with her eyes closed, her light robe contrasting with Gwen's cape with dark clothing, almost forming a yin-yang symbol.

Behind Dawn appears Scott, snickering evilly.

(Knowing this could be my only chance now)

DJ is shown last, seemingly falling back while holding his pet rabbit: Bunny in his hands with a happy smile. His teammates shown in the background starting with Duncan, Tyler, Justin and Alejandro ending with Chef Hatchet and Chris McClean.

He is followed by Mike and Zoey, both clutching their hands and smiling at each other as in background appears Brick, Jo, Lightning, Sam and Staci.

And lately Cameron appears staring up at the others.

(To overcome this fate that has come over me)

The screen turns black and the Eye of XANA immediately flashes into existence, glowing red and shadowing the outline of a singular person with red glowing eyes.

(The ending of this story)

Aelita is shown, standing in a meadow now with the wind gently blowing through her hair.

(I will hold it close as I wonder so aimlessly)

She holds up a hand, gazing sadly up as the images of her friends and parents appear in the sky.

(Into this new world)

Her hand then becomes digital, transitioning to Lyoko.

((The game has only just begun))

She gazes up a little longer before she notices her new friends and allies standing with her and smiles before looking forward, seeing a tower in the distance.

(I can see it in your eyes)

Just as they are about to rush towards the tower, the camera angles up into the digital sky as the song reaches its end.

The scene then shifts to pictures of Aelita and her friends both old and new on a desktop as the title appears on last time:

CODE: TOTAL DRAMA REALITY

( No Pain No Game (From Btoom!) Ends )

Episode 20: The Beautiful Lie

He could do this.

He wouldn't fail like he did before.

William's eyes went wide, and he let out a loud yell as he swung his sword, sending all the energy right back at the Guardians.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

One by one, the Guardians exploded and released their captives.

Ulrich, Odd and Yumi were free.

"Aelita, look!" Bridgette called out.

Aelilta turned around to see a new monster materialize between her and the tower.

This one was different, even compared to the new monsters.

Aelita and the others stepped back, all of them sporting looks of fear and surprised, eyes widening at the sight.

It was a giant, ape-like monster almost twenty feet tall. It was covered head-to-toe in black metallic armor whiles its 'face' was a smooth metallic white with the Eye of XANA imprinted on it. In one hand, it held a large axe with the blade glowing fierce red.

The monster held up its weapon and let out a metallic roar.

"Just what is that?!" DJ squeaked, jumping back with a freaked outlook on his face.

"Looks like a robo-Kong." LeShawna commented, gripping her hammer tightly.

The aforementioned beast raised its axe and swung it down on Aelita who quickly jumped back, holding her right hand forward. "Energy Field!"

An orb of pink energy shot forward, aimed on the Eye that was likely its weak spot. However, the Kong raised its axe and blocked Aelita's attack. The pink energy turned red and the monster swung its axe, releasing a red arc of electrical energy, similar to Aelita's Energy Field right at her.

"Aelita!"

DJ jumped in, forming a barrier to take the hit…

BOOM!

Despite DJ's efforts, the attack was strong enough to knock both of them back and send them skidding along the ground.

"DJ!" Gwen called out.

"Aelita!" Bridgette called for their other downed companion.

The Kong turned to the other two remaining Lyoko Warriors, Gwen and Bridgette.

"Oh boy." Gwen gulped.

The giant mechanized ape raised its axe…

"Laser Arrows!"

Three golden pointed arrows shot from behind the two and impacted the Kong in the chest, causing it to stagger back. Gwen and Bridgette spun around to see William and Dawn running towards them with three more, two boys and a girl, one of them firing more 'Laser Arrows' at the Kong before it could fully recover.

Aelita lifted her head in time to see the reinforcements, gasping with joy. "Yumi! Odd! Ulrich!"

Gwen and Bridgette shared a look.

Those were Aelita's missing friends?

The boy dressed like a samurai shot forward, leaving a yellow comet trail in his wake. "Super Sprint!"

He dashed under the Kong's axe as it was swung at him and then jumped up, unsheathing his katana. "Impact!"

The boy's sword stabbed into the monster's Eye, causing it to stagger backwards and collapse onto the ground. Ulrich pulled his sword out and jumped away as the monster dissolved into a red wireframe and exploded.

"Oh yeah! That's how we do it!" Odd pumped a fist into the air. "Never lost a touch!"

"Odd! Ulrich! Yumi!" Aelita cried out, rushing up to the three and pulling the nearest, Yumi into a deep hug. "You're safe!"

"Yeah." Yumi nodded, hugging Aelita back. "William saved us."

Aelita sent a grateful look to William who smiled back.

"Not to rain on the parade but don't you have a tower to deactivate, Princess?" Odd asked, gesturing to the still red glowing tower. "We can catch up later."

Aelita nodded and headed for the tower.

"Wow, so you guys are the original warriors?" DJ asked as he walked up. "Pretty impressive, taking out that giant monster right there."

"Just years of experience." Ulrich shrugged. "You helped Aelita while we were gone. Thanks for that."

Meanwhile, the polymorph threw LeShawna against the wall and she screamed in pain. "AH! MY ARM!"

The clone then turned to Cameron who was hiding behind the chair, shaking with fear.

Aelita entered the tower. Stepping into the center of the XANA symbol she prepared to ascend to the upper platform.

The clone held out its hand, electricity gathering.

Aelita gracefully landed on the upper platform.

"You made a big mistake, choosing to help Aelita." The clone stated, its XANA Eyes pulsing. "Her friends failed and so will you."

The screen appeared and Aelita placed her hand on it.

Cameron raised his hands, covering his eyes as the gathered electricity in the clone's hands became too bright for him to see.

AELITA

CODE:

LYOKO

The clone's form suddenly became distorted and broke apart into the black electrical smog it had been formed from, vanishing into nothingness.

Cameron turned to the screen and saw that the tower had been deactivated.

The activated tower's aura changed from red to blue. The screen surrounding Aelita fell to the darkness below.

"Tower deactivated."

"Return to the Past now." Cameron said, smiling in relief while inputting the commands.

The world was consumed by the white sphere of light as time went back to before the attack.

Gwen sighed as she sat the table like she did right before the attack. A few more attacks like these and she'd probably make it through the entire season to the finals easily.

Well, at least Aelita got her friends back

She sighed as she finished the last of her breakfast. She walked out of the kitchen to find someplace to think.

"Hey, Gwen!"

She turned and saw the other new Lyoko warriors walking up to her. "Hey, guys."

"We were thinking that we should go out and see the city. It's too boring being cooped up in here." Bridgette said, taking a quick glance around the room.

"Yeah, after what we have been through, we deserve to have some fun." DJ agreed.

Gwen though it over and shrugged. "Why not? Anywhere but here."

They should meet with Aelita and her friends and find out where things stood now that they've helped rescue her friends.

Aelita had found herself back at school, just before the attack had begun. She had been working on some schoolwork while waiting for the data William had found to be decoded.

But unlike before, Aelita was feeling relieved.

Elated even.

Her friends had been rescued.

This was the first step in finally beating XANA for good.

Ulrich, Odd and Yumi were rescued…

Aelita's smile faded slightly, remembering that the same could not be said for Jeremy.

Or could it?

"You may not see Jeremy now, but his data is easily accessible, and I can easily reconstitute him back to his original state." XANA spoke calmly. "As you have heard, Jeremy was not the first to be thrown into the Digital Sea and come back. Anyone with the right knowledge can restore which I am willing to do as long you agree to my terms."

Was XANA lying or was there really a way to restore someone who had fallen into the Digital Sea back to life?

Sure, it worked for Yumi but that had been a prototype to the Code: Earth program that had only been possible when Odd had unintentionally messed with Jeremy's computer. Aelita had no clue what keys Odd's candy had landed to create the program and things were much different.

Yumi had been in the Digital Sea for a brief time, following a Return to the Past while it had been two days since Jeremy had fallen.

KNOCK-KNOCK!

Aelita sighed, getting up from her desk and coming to the door. "Who is it?"

"Open this door at once!" A voice barked from the other side.

Aelita blinked as she slowly opened the door to see… "Mr. Stern?"

Just like before Walter Stern was at the door and with him was Carole Stern, Walter's wife and Ulrich's mother.

"I want answers, young lady." Walter immediately said, not giving Aelita even a chance to break. "My son, where is he?"

"I don't know." Aelita took a step back.

Were they back in the dorm?

Maybe they ended up in the factory.

"Don't lie to me." Walter stepped forward into Aelita's room. "You and those other good-for-nothings were up to something, weren't you? It's bad enough Ulrich shirked his potential and responsibilities because of your bad influence but now he's probably run off because of you!"

"That's not true!" Aelita immediately argued. "We were separated during the strange cyber attack and when I came back to my dorm, I never heard from them again."

"Liar!" Walter reached to grab her, but someone grabbed him by the shoulder from behind.

"Mr. Stern, I know you're upset but do not lay a hand on Miss Stones." Jim Morales spoke in an authoritative tone that even Aelita had barely heard from him. "She has already been questioned by the principal and has answered everything the best she could."

"Get your hands off me." Walter batted Jim's hand away and pointed at Aelita. "She knows what happened to our son. I know it."

"Even so, you are not allowed to interrogate a student without a teacher or the principal present." Jim retorted.

"Then get someone here! Like the police!" Walter snapped. "I want answer and if she won't give them-"

"Mr. Stern!" Jean-Pierre Delmas appeared at the door. "Say one more word and I will call the police to have you removed from this school."

"Suddenly, the studying became much easier to you, and you practically aced every test, saving yourself from repeating a year that would have had you attending class to Ulrich, Odd, Jeremy and Aelita." XANA continued. "Did you think it was all on your own? That you managed to retain the information through staying up late, sleeping only for about two to three hours and then keeping yourself awake to answer all the questions correctly? Did you really think you suddenly became your own…Einstein?"

William found it hard to focus in class at the moment, due to him thinking over what XANA had told him.

"Yes. Just as they never truly got rid me, you and I have remained connected all this time. I stopped the nightmares; I helped you retain the knowledge you needed to save yourself from failing your grades and I helped you find the strength you needed to not care about making amends with them anymore." XANA proclaimed. "And in return, you have only been using the knowledge and powers I gave you. The ability to operate the supercomputer, to access and create programs in Sector 5, it all comes from what I gave you and you failed to realize that in all that time, it meant I was still here all along. We have been connected all this time, even when I was dormant, I could still hear your thoughts, and I could still influence you."

Was it true?

Was XANA still part of him even after all this time?

It would explain why he was able to hear XANA's heartbeat even after all this time.

If that was true though, how could he fix this?

How could he finally free himself?

"What am I truly to do you, William? You look at me as the monster who nearly ruined your life, but I was helping you, even though you never knew it while the ones you believed to be your friends cast you out over a misstep that could have just as easily happened to any of them. And Yumi, even before deciding it was a mistake to ever trust you, only ever used you to get back at Ulrich." XANA declared, making William flinch while Yumi and Ulrich froze.

"That's a lie!" William barked, struggling even harder to wrench his sword free.

"You know it is true. I don't have to lie about something like this and even then, I don't believe in lying like that. I saw through your memories, any time she and Ulrich were in a dispute she would leave him, approach you while you were in sight of him, ask you to keep her company and walk off with her, leaving poor, moody Ulrich in the literal dust. And yet…nothing ever came from that, did it?" XANA asked. "The next moment, she's back with Ulrich and her friends as if nothing ever happened. And she believed you couldn't be trusted with helping her against me and only agreed when it was becoming clear I was becoming too strong for her and her group to stop. She never believed in you then and she and the others discarded any responsibility towards you when they thought the battle was over and thus removed you from their lives, barely paying any attention to you at all. Does any of this sound like how a friend should act?"

William clenched his pencil as XANA's words replayed themselves over and over in his mind.

"The nice guy, useful for fights but gets rejected and ignored when he is no longer needed."

William shut his eyes tightly. 'It's not like that anymore.'

"I must ask, why would you want to gain recognition from such ingrateful hypocrites who forgive each other but never offered you a chance?"

By the time the bell rang, William all too quickly left the classroom without a word.

Footsteps were heard and Sissy immediately ducked under her father's desk. The door opened and someone walked in.

"Good. They left Jeremy's laptop here. This is better than trying to sneak into the dorms." A man's voice was heard.

Sissy covered her mouth and remained hidden as the man saw down. All she could see was that he wore a brown turtleneck sweater with a lab coat.

"They must have been going through his files before leaving. I just hope I can find a way to help before it's too late."

Sissy's eyes went wide.

This man knew too?

Who was he?

Before she could hear anything else, there was a flash of bright light…

Sissy blinked, finding herself back in the hallway near her father's office and standing there were…

"Mr. and Mrs. Stern, while I understand you are worried about your son this school in no way condones harassing students like that." Jean-Pierre stated as he sat down. "Especially when it's in the wake of a terrible disaster."

"That girl knows where our son is." Walter retorted, refusing to sit down. "She should be here answering our questions."

"Miss Stones has been nothing but a kind and exemplary student who has been close friends with your son and along with the other missing students. I can tell she was honest in her answers, and she is genuinely worried about them." Jean replied before the door opened.

"Mr. Delmas?" Jim peeked his head. "There are a few more visitors here."

"Can this wait?" Jean-Pierre sighed, rubbing his head.

"I'm afraid not." Jim opened the door fully, revealing several more adults.

"Mr. Belpois."

Jeremy's father, Michael Belpois.

"Mr. and Mrs. Ishiyama."

Takeho Ishiyama and Akiko Ishiyama.

"Mr. and Mrs. Della Robbia."

Marguerite and Robert.

The parents of the missing children.

"I see." Jean-Pierre sighed and gestured for them to enter. "Very well, come in. Everyone, come in."

One by one, the parents entered the office with Jim closing the door behind them.

"Principal Delmas," Michael Belpois began. "I am sure you know why we're all here."

"I think anyone can guess at this point." Jean-Pierre answered.

"Then let's get straight to the point. What do you know?" Michael asked.

"All we know is that yesterday there was a massive cyber terrorist attack not just here but potentially all of France. The attack crippled communications and left a strange message." Jean-Pierre held up a paper showing XANA's Eye and message. "I assume none of you recognize this symbol."

Michael and the other parents shared a close look at the symbol, all of them glancing between each other and shaking their heads.

"No, we don't." Michael answered for the group. "And we don't understand the message either."

"What about the girl?" Walter cut in. "She knows something."

"The girl?"

"Aelita Stones, a close friend of your children and a member of their group. She's the only one who is not missing." Jean-Pierre explained. "And she has already been questioned by the police and detectives."

"She knows something." Walter argued. "There's no way she couldn't have known what happened to my son and the rest of those brats."

"Watch who you're calling a brat!" Micheal Belpois, Marguerite and Robert Della Robbia, Takeho and Akiko snapped.

"Yumi would never run off anywhere." Takeho argued. "She's been nothing but a hard-working honest child."

"Ha! She is probably the reason Ulrich ran off! I knew she'd be a bad influence on my son the moment she sunk her claws into him!" Walter snapped.

"Excuse me?!" Takeho and Akiko narrowed their eyes.

"You heard me! I told him time and time again that he could do better than her, but he never listened and now they've both run off somewhere!" Walter continued, not even pausing.

"How dare you?!" Akiko shouted, standing up from her chair. "Now I understand why Ulrich never liked talking about you. It is clear you are a horrible man who only cares about his own image."

"I will not be insulted by some Chinese witch who knows nothing of what she's talking about!" Walter snapped.

"We're Japanese!" Both Takeho and Akiko snapped, now infuriated at the Stern patriarch.

"Excuse me-" Jean-Pierre tried to speak but was cut of.

"You know, we've had Ulrich over at our home from time to time and he's been nothing but a sweet and generous boy. How someone as considerate as him could ever have someone like you as a father is mind-boggling to say the least." Takeho snarled at Walter. "Our children are missing, and you just want to pointlessly assign blame instead of trying to find them."

"I told you, that Stones girl knows where they are." Walter retorted. "Drag her in here for answers."

"Why are you so sure?" Michael asked.

"How about the fact that I've looked into her background and found nothing about her before she got here." Walter replied. "There had to be a reason why she's still here while the rest have gone missing."

"As I said, Miss Stones has been nothing but a good student…" Jean-Pierre trailed off. "But there is something to note."

The parents all stared at him.

"When they all first attended this school, there was a period of when they would disappear for long amounts of time. In fact, Jeremy was absent nearly twenty times." Jean-Pierre explained.

"Twenty?" Michael gasped. "He never mentioned that."

"If not for his stellar grades Mrs. Hertz would have reported him." Jean-Pierre replied. "The limit for absences is eight at this school but Jeremy continued getting good grades, so it was overlooked. Miss Ishiyama missed class in the eighth grade about eight times and it was the same with Stern and Della Robbia, but both made up for it by doing well in gym class. Then after the second year when Stones arrived, they stopped and were on time at their classes like they were supposed to, and it was like nothing had happened."

The parents all shared looks of surprise with wide eyes as they processed this.

"And now, following this cyber attack that virtually disrupted every form of electronic communication in France, they have disappeared." Jean-Pierre continued. "I fear this means they have might have been involved in something dangerous during those first couple of years and whatever it is they tried to cover up might have come after them."

"All the more reason, that Stones girl should be hauled out of her room in cuffs and questioned." Walter stood up. "I demand she be arrested!"

"We can't just assume she's responsible." Jean-Pierre retorted, slowly losing his patience with the Stern patriarch. "Especially since she's a relative of Odd."

"Excuse me?" Both Odd's parents asked at the same time.

"You don't know her? Miss Stones was admitted to this school because Odd gave me a letter of recommendation signed by the both of you saying she was a family member." Jean-Pierre asked and explained.

"That girl's not a member of our family." Robert shook his head. "We were told she was a pen-pal who transferred to Kadic and Odd introduced her to his friends."

Jean-Pierre was silent as he considered this new information.

Aelita Stones was not Odd's cousin, meaning that her transcripts must be fake.

"That proves it!" Walter shot up. "She's connected with this!"

"Did the all the kids know?" Akiko asked, now worried that Yumi had lied to her and Takeho and had hidden something dangerous from them.

"So Odd lied to us to get this girl into this school?" Marguerite Della Robbia asked with a flabbergasted look on her face.

KNOCK-KNOCK!

Jean-Pierre sighed. "Can this wait?"

The door opened and Jim poked his head inside. "I'm afraid not, sir. You and everyone else will want to see to this."

Jim opened the door to reveal…

"Odd?!" Odd's parents gaped.

"Yumi!" Yumi's parents were next to cry out.

"Ulrich!" Walter spun around while

Aelita quickly headed for the Principal's Office, knowing something was bound to happen but when she got there, she felt all the breath leave her.

There they were.

Yumi turned her head, catching the pink haired girl in her vision. "Aelita!"

Ulrich and Odd turned around, smiling in relief. "You're back!"

"Guys…" Aelita stuttered but smiled happily and ran forward, catching all three in a hug. "I am so glad you are back."

They hugged her back as Odd replied. "We are too. It was getting boring stuck in there."

As Aelita hugged them in relief, eyes closed as a tear of happiness making their way down her cheeks, she didn't notice Yumi, Odd and Ulrich glancing at each other…

Or seeing their human pupils morph into the Eyes of XANA.
