Billy sat on a comfortable armchair in Dwight's office.

"Well it seems like everything is settled," Billy said smiling.

"Almost everything," Dwight said, "Look Billy I need to ask you a major favor. Trudy is a huge fan of yours. Saturday she was diagnosed with Leukemia. Would you please take a few minutes to meet her. It would make her entire day."

"Of course," Billy said, "But what if instead of just a few minutes I spend the entire day with her on Saturday. I bet that she would like that."

"Like it? She would absolutely love it."

"I'm so happy I can do something for her," Billy said.

"There is one more thing," Dwight said, "Some friends of ours are having a pool party on Tuesday. Trudy and her friend Angela will be there, and they would love it if you'd show up at the pool party."

Billy frowned for a second. He had rehearsal for a movie he was shooting.

"Let me just move some stuff in my schedule around," he said, "I'm sure I can arrange to be at the pool party."

"Thank you, Billy," Dwight said, "I can't tell you how much I appreciate this."

"My son had leukemia," Billy said softly, "I know what you're going through."

Dwight nodded. Everyone knew the story of Zack Robin– Billy's son who nearly died of leukemia. Eventually, a bone marrow transplant saved him.

"By the time his leukemia was caught it was far gone," Billy said, "A bone marrow transplant was his only hope. He actually had to have multiple transplants."

"What do you mean," Dwight asked.

"This summer he relapsed. He needed a new bone marrow transplant. That's why Susan is pregnant now. There are no matches, and we are doing a cord blood transplant."

Dwight felt himself shiver. He said a quick prayer for Zack.

"GOD Billy," he said, "I'm so sorry. I had no idea."

"Thanks Dwight," Billy said.

That night Dwight got home early. He kissed Marsha and then was interrupted by his 3-year-old running to him. She was running in 'slow motion' so she wouldn't hurt herself.

"Can we go to Wendy's for dinner," Trudy asked.

"Sure," Dwight said, "But I have a surprise for you. Billy Robins is going to visit you on Saturday. He's spending the entire day with you."

"Oh my GOD! Are you so serious," Trudy exclaimed.

Dwight nodded.

"He'll also be at the pool party," he said.

Trudy squealed with excitement. As soon as they got to Wendy's Trudy went right into the playroom. She played for a good hour before she was called for dinner.

"I'm having fun," she said.

"We'll stop at Fairy Tale Island tomorrow," Marsha promised her.

"Okay," Trudy said.

She ate up all of her food.

"Can I have more fries," she asked.

"Of course," Marsha said.

She went and got Trudy more fries. Trudy ate it all and drank her milk too.
