With his body completely shattered, Pirina remained on the ground, in a veritable pool of purple blood. Panting, from fatigue and pain, he could only growl as he stared at Law, as the pirate kept trying to find a way to defeat him. Using his power, Law had only chopped up his ally's body parts, over and over again. Initially, the Namekian had no trouble regenerating. However, currently, he was far too exhausted to regenerate his body yet again, as a multitude of arms or legs covered the ground.
Now with his head hanging off his shoulders, so much so that the rest of his lower body had been chopped off, he could only roar in frustration as he was at Law's mercy.
"You lost," Law asserted.
For any answer, Pirina tried everything. Opening his mouth, he let out a powerful ray that shot up to Law.
"ROOM! SHAMBLES!"
Simply changing his spot with a boulder, Law dodged the attack with no problem, before running towards Pirina. Then leaping over him, he let electricity cover his sword, as he pointed the tip of his weapon at the Namekian's body.
"KNIFE RADIO!"
Feeling a powerful electric shock touch him, Pirina screamed in pain, before he finally stopped moving. Turning his head to the side, he showed no signs of life.
"HEY, HE KILLED MY FIGHTER!" Champa roared, pointing at him. "THAT'S AGAINST THE RULES! DISQUALIFY HIM!"
"Indeed," approved the Grand Minister. "He would be disqualified, only if he had truly killed him."
"Tssss," Law hissed suddenly, addressed to the two deities. '' Who do you take me for? ''
Eventually grabbing what was left of Pirina's body, Law walked over to the edge of the pitch, asserting himself.
"Fortunately for you, I'm a professional! Not some amateur that can be found on a random corner! I would be able to slice this man's carotid artery without killing him."
Getting ready to throw Pirina's upper body into the void, Law found himself forced to duck to avoid an energy blast, which nearly hit his back.
Taking advantage of this opening, Saonel jumped above him, before letting his fist go to his face. Countering him with his Saber, Law struggled for a few moments against the Namekian's colossal strength, before finally feeling himself receding into the void. Having no choice, Law created a sphere in his hand before finally using it to escape.
Seeing this happening, Saonel focused for a few moments, before asserting. "He left, thank goodness."
Suddenly, his comrade opened his eyes. Then, screaming, Pirina managed to regenerate his body again. Then remaining seated, using what time he had to catch his breath, the great Namekian finally apologized.
"I have dishonored my kind, and every Namekian I have fused with," Pirina solemnly spoke. "I'm a disgrace for our universe. ''
But his fellow Namekian comforted him.
"You did what you could," Saonel retorted. "I, myself, was almost the first to be eliminated from this tournament! Our mistake was to have attacked opponents without knowing their capabilities, as well as that Namekian from the Seventh Universe." While they never approached Piccolo, they could feel his enormous power from here.
"What should we do, in this case? Stay hidden to spy on the opponent?"
"We will start with that! And it will give your body time to recover energy! And then we'll launch a counterattack."
Jumping back, to dodge a punch that pulverized the ground, Leone was running away, followed by Gajeel.
"Don't you dare run away!" Roared Gajeel.
Barely glancing over her shoulder, the catlike girl saw long-haired man run behind her. Smiling, she jumped against a rock. Leaning on the latter, she let herself be propelled towards Gajeel, all claws forward.
"Prepare to suffer the wrath of a raging lioness," she assured, clawing Gajeel in the face.
However, her attack barely scratched Gajeel's skin as Gajeel had covered it with metallic scales.
"What the ... ?"
"IRON DRAGON'S FIST!"
Taking the powerful punch head-on, Leone was thrown against the rock, who exploded under the impact. Hovering a bit, Leone ended up finding herself face down, while Gajeel walked towards her as serenely as possible.
"I sincerely hope this isn't the best you can possibly do. I thought only the best warriors in each of their respected universes were gathered here! Sorry to tell you, but I know a lot of guys in my world who could have beaten you! You are anything but extraodinary!"
Hearing this annoyed Leone, yet she could only approve, as she stood up.
"I know that, alright!? I'm just a replacement member! If Akame had been there, she could have beaten you! Today, I must surely be the weakest member of Night Raid still alive! But..."
Letting her body light up, she felt her muscles bulge one by one as the appearance of her body changed.
Stopping walking, Gajeel began to grow curious, while putting an arm in front of his eyes, because of the blinding light. Finally, when this latter disappeared, she gave way to Leone, who now looked like a real female lioness.
"What is that? Is this your true form? "
"I merged with my teigu," Leone said to him. "I still don't know what power it gives me! However, if that is enough for me to defeat you, I would be more than proud to accept it! By beating you, I could finally consider myself an official member of the Ninth Universe! I won't ever tolerate being an embarrassment for my team."
Letting her fist glow again, she cried out.
"Here is the light of justice in which I believe! As long as I follow her, I will be unbeatable!"
"The light ?" Gajeel repeated, smiling. "Very well! In that case, on my side, I will summon the power of darkness."
"The what?"
Surprised then, she could see a black aura surrounding Gajeel, while the dragon's eyes became a bright green, and his skin darker. Now having the appearance of a real demon, he cried out.
"IRON SHADOW DRAGON MODE!"
Feeling an incredible surge in his energy, Leone couldn't help but pull back. Above Gajeel, a black aura appeared, taking on the appearance of a terrifying dragon. Leone's instinct told her that Gajeel was now extremely dangerous. She couldn't defeat him. All she could hope for was to be quick enough to run away to avoid fighting him. However, eventually biting her tongue, she pushed the fear out of her mind, while retorting.
"I will neither run nor lose to you."
Jumping like this, she propelled herself straight towards Gajeel, while the latter followed suit.
"YOU CAN FORGET ABOUT IT, YOU AREN'T A MATCH FOR ME AND NEVER WILL BE!"
"LIGHT LEONE'S PUNCH!"
"IRON SHADOW DRAGON'S CLUB!"
In the next second, the sound of a bone breaking was heard, as someone managed to hit the other. Thus, at first motionless, Leone ended up lowering her gaze to her fist that she had not even had time to throw, while Gajeel's had touched her rib cage, severely damaging her ribs.
'' Im ... Impossible ... ''
"You lost," assured the powerful Mage.
Unfortunately, it was then that Leone managed to grab hold of his arm.
"What…?"
Gritting her teeth, as a trickle of blood came out of her mouth, Leone stood still, before finally lifting her face. Despite knowing that many of her bones had just been crushed, she still retained confidence and tenacity in her gaze. She wasn't going to give up.
"Never," Leone roared, while staring at him. " The last time I saw her, I made Akame cry, when she understood that I was going to die! Today, I plan to see her again, and this time, I will put a smile on her face! Yes, I will make sure to resurrect Night Raid."
"LET GO OF ME!" Gajeel ordered her, punching her in the face. "Do you really think you're the only one here who has to protect something ? Even if it annoys me to say it, I have a bunch of idiots to save too ! And above all, I have my own family to save! Just like you, I don't have the right to lose or give up."
Despite feeling her nose get crushed, Leone didn't let go of her grip, as she assured. "I will allow Night Raid to resurrected! My life, my friend's lives... my family's lives are at stake! I WON'T LOSE!"
Relaxing her arm then, her punch hit Gajeel on the chin. Opening his mouth, the poor mage only coughed up blood as he was lifted into the air. Leone had gathered so much energy into her fist that even Gajeel's metallic skin had cracked upon impact. A normal man would have had his head completely pulverized.
For her part, being too injured to resist the power of her own attack, Leone finally fell to her knees before vomiting blood. However, seeming unconcerned by this, she raised her head, before shouting.
"Did you see that? That's the power of Night Raid."
Yet she fell silent the second Gajeel landed in front of her, on his feet. A trickle of blood coming out of the mouth, but still keeping a cruel smile, the mage was even scarier than before.
"I'm sorry for what I told you earlier! In the end, maybe you deserve your place among us, finally."
"Grrr," Leone could only say, getting up. "Wait a minute, I…"
"WATER STREAM ROCK SMASHING FIST!"
Slapped in the back, Leon could only gasp in pain, as a series of quick punches eventually propelled her against a rock. Finding herself pinned against the rock wall, Leone coughed up more blood, while her entire frame began to break.
Unfortunately for her, the mysterious fighter who had suddenly attacked her appeared in front of her to finish her off. In this way, with a quick and powerful gesture, he hit her in the face, and threw her aside, as if nothing had happened. Feeling her strength wane, Leone eventually regained her original form, all the while feeling herself falling out of the arena.
"Boss…" she whispered, feeling a tear sting her eyes. "I'm sorry..."
Immediately finding herself in the stands, Leone hurried to put a hand in front of her gaze, so that no one could see her ashamed face.
" Leone of the Ninth Universe has been eliminated."
" What... WHAT HAPPENED!?" Wanted to know the angered Supreme Kai, while looking at the field. "WHAT WENT WRONG WITH YOU!? WAS ALL OF THOSE TEN YEARS OF TRAINING WORTH FOR NOTHING!? DAMN IT!"
"Leone could only train for a few months. " Sidra reminded him.
Not giving a damn about the Supreme Kai, Garou only stared at Gajeel, while asserting. "You! I would like you to be my opponent."
Returning his smile, Gajeel got into a fighting stance, ready to pay this bastard back for stealing his elimination.
''I think you're going to be a lot more interesting to fight than the lioness. ''
"As far as I can see, besides our universe, as well as the Sixth and the Eleventh, none of the other warriors utilize energy like we do, they have their own forms of power." Piccolo, the Namekian from Universe 7 remarked, staying in a defensive position. "Goku and Vegeta's brute strength alone may not be enough to secure our victory."
Stuck against him, Gohan, Master Roshi, Tien Shinhan and Krillin couldn't help but agree with him.
"Yeah, that bald man in the cape from earlier looked very powerful. He took out that Botamo guy quickly, then Goku had a problem with him the first time," Krillin remarked swallowing. "And let's not forget about Hit! I really hope Goku and Vegeta stay in good shape!"
"There's no point in relying on others now," Piccolo retorted. "Even if you can't fight anyone, at least try to stay up until the end! Who knows, your presence alone could save an entire universe. "
Suddenly capturing an energy signal, the Namekian stared in a particular direction, as did his allies. Thus, they could see a person observing them, while nibbling a cookie.
"It seems that you have adopted a rather defensive strategy," Kurome remarked. "For this kind of tournament, it might be the best thing to do! However, even with several of you against me, you will not be the winners."
Immediately grabbing her sword, she pointed the end of the Teigu to the ground, in order to begin her invocation.
"Now, go forth."
Immediately, making the ground vibrate, various corpses left the latter and appeared one after the other.
"HOLY CRAP!" Krillin screeched, as a gigantic dinosaur skeleton appeared in his field of vision.
Soon were see Doya, Henter, Apeman, Death Tagool, Kaiser Frog, and Rokugou.
"What in the world are these things?!" Piccolo exclaimed, looking at the newcomers. "Well one thing's for sure, they weren't part of her initial team," the Turtle Hermit added on.
"These things aren't human," Tien said. "If you want my opinion, they seem to look like living weapons."
"No," Piccolo retorted, narrowing his eyes, finally figuring out the answer. "They're dead bodies! This girl is using corpses as her weapons."
"C... CORPSES?!" Krillin exclaimed, literally almost turning ghost white.
"You catch on quickly," Kurome stated. Snapping her fingers, she immediately suddenly summoned Natala and Wall to protect her. Then, snapping her fingers a second time, she gave them orders.
"Don't hold back, any of you."
Immediately, all of her other dolls rushed straight towards the half-Saiyan and the rest of the team.
"Well, at least it makes sense why we can't sense their energy. At first I thought they didn't have one since it was completely nonexistent," Gohan remarked while dodging the gorilla's charge, only to feel Rokugou hit him with a whip.
"Forget about it," Piccolo advised everyone. "These corpses are just puppets! They don't release any sort of energy."
Seeing Doya start shooting him, he created an energy blast, which destroyed each of his ammunition, before hitting her full in the stomach. Piercing her abdomen, the attack forced the doll to back away. Still, continuing to smile at him, Doya remained standing, despite her fatal wound.
"Dammit!" Piccolo cursed. '' It looks like this was going to be tougher than they thought. ''
Seeing the gorilla leap in front of him, Tien stepped back while dodging his punches, before leaping into the air. Putting his hands in a diamond-shaped tunnel formation, he focused his energy, before releasing it all together, using one of his signature attacks.
"TRI-BEAM!"
Hitting Apeman head-on, he then saw his head disintegrate.
"One down, a few more to go," Tien sighed, landing near what was left of the corpse.
However, suddenly gripping his leg, one of the Danger Beast's hands managed to lift him, as the doll rose to his feet.
"What the?!" the three-eyed warrior exclaimed.
"These are just puppets so they can't feel pain," Gohan understood. "You have to destroy their entire body completely to get rid of them."
Dodging a whip again, he stared at Rokugou, who whirled his weapon around him. Throwing it back at Gohan, he was surprised to see the Saiyan suddenly disappear. Unable to feel his energy, the doll couldn't notice the boy's presence behind his back.
Then, a second later, Gohan bombarded him with blows so powerful, that they shattered the doll's spine. Then, the Saiyan gave him a powerful kick, which sent him through the air. Finally, Gohan concentrated his energy in an energy sphere which he sent towards his opponent. Unable to defend himself, Rokugou was hit by the attack which exploded, destroying him.
Looking at the area of the explosion to see no trace of his opponent, Gohan understood that the doll would not come back to attack him.
"EVERYONE! YOU NEED TO OBLITERATE THE DOLLS COMPLETELY TO DESTROY THEM!" the leader of the Seventh Universe team informed the other four members.
"GOT IT!" Tien replied, before he punched Apeman's body so hard that his body smashed against a rock. Then, levitating in the air, he once again put his hands in the same position from last time before concentrating.
Standing up with difficulty, Apeman ended up pounding his chest before running and leaping towards Tien. However, having already charged his attack, he then cried out.
"TRI-BEAM!"
Hit again by the powerful attack, the gorilla's body was atomized, as did the surface of the arena beneath its body. Falling down, Tien caught his breath, while still remaining on his guard, in case a new doll attacked him out of nowhere.
"Kamehame... HAAAAAAAA!"
Turning his head, Tien Shinhan saw Master Roshi create an energetic wave that pulverized the body of the huge Kaiser Frog.
"Shit." Seeing this, Kurome began to back away, while being escorted by Natala and Wall. Henter, for his part, fought against Krillin while Death Ghoul shook the ground beneath his feet.
"THIS IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE!" Roh shouted, seeing Kurome's dolls being destroyed one by one. "WHAT ARE THOSE STUPID PUPPETS DOING?!"
"Will you calm down, Roh?" Sidra retorted, arms crossed. "Despite their defeats, Kurome's dolls have taught us more about the powers of the Seventh Universe, as well as tire them out! I have already told Kurome about this! She is a very skilled swordswoman, but it's not enough to be able to fight against the other fighters of the universes! If she is part of the team, it is mainly because her power allows our team to double it's numbers."
"You guys worry too much," Leone asserted, looking at Kurome who had taken a seat on a rock while watching her last dolls fight. "Besides, Kurome has much more powerful dolls than those."
