Chapter 45- Only just the Beginning
May 13, 2021
Canterlot, Equestria 5:30 PM
All throughout Equestria, a little celebration was held. The ponies, the Umbrans, and everyone else cheered. Lord Zarkiar was finally dead.
However, Kit seems to have vanished off into thin air, and Eliza is frantic with worry. After all, Kit walked off and did not say anything.
Eliza taps MTSP's shoulder.
"Mario..I don't see Kit. I have been looking all over for him. I am very worried. He's not gone, is he?" Eliza asked
"Aw, don't worry. I know Kit, and he will definitely show his face at some point. I am looking forward to fighting him again." MTSP said, with a smirk
"I hope so.." Eliza said, with tears in her eyes.
The prince looks at Twilight and Rarity.
The two girls kiss him. MTSP kisses them both back. He is happy to have two of his girlfriends in his life.
After two minutes, they finally break apart.
Shining Armor looks at MTSP. He has an angry glare on his face.
"HOW DARE YOU TOUCH MY SISTER!" he yelled, "You put her in danger way too many TIMES! You aren't welcome to the Crystal Empire! I don't even want to be around you! And Twilight deserves better!"
Mario growls. The disrespect is not well-received.
He slaps Twilight's brother in the face.
"I had done nothing but love and protect your sister. I will forever do so. Talk to me like that again, and you're dead." MTSP said, angrily
Shining finally backs off.
Princess Cadance looks at her husband, with a scowl. She does not approve of his behavior towards the Prince of Equestria.

Meanwhile, Slade and Kit are both peeking through the bushes of the celebration in Canterlot.
Kit looks at Eliza. He sees her with MTSP, Twilight and Rarity. He has tears in his eyes. He is worried that his girlfriend would think of him as a traitor if she had found out he was pretending to work under Slade as a spy.
Slade, also known as Deathstroke, slaps Kit in the face.
"OW! What was THAT for?!" Kit yelled
"Stick to the plan, Kit. Your job is to spy on them. Then you'll relay information to me so we can eliminate them. We will then cause chaos throughout the multiverse, and then wipe out everything, including the remaining Teen Titans." Slade said
Kit nods and lets out a fake evil grin.
Kit's forehead starts to glow. An "S" appears on his forehead, as Slade possesses him, much to Kit's horror.
"Good. You will do as I say." said Deathstroke

Back at the party, DJ Pon 3 is currently playing "Party Rock Anthem" and everyone is dancing to it.
Of course, Anti-Mario had to be there and dance with Rainbow. He wasn't going to miss out on this opportunity. Besides, Anti-Mario is also glad that Lord Zarkiar is gone for good. Nazel and Maya are being watched over by Eliza while their parents are out there dancing, as Anti-Mario told her to watch the babies.
A portal randomly appears. Discord, the Lord of Chaos, pops out of it.
"Sorry I am late. It seems I have missed yet another thrilling adventure. I wish I could have also given Zarkiar a taste of his own medicine." he said
Fluttershy looks up at Discord
"Discord!" Fluttershy cried out
"Fluttershy!" Discord exclaimed
The two then engage in a hug. They kiss for a few seconds.
Then, they break apart from the hug.
The draconequus and the yellow pony creature stare at each other for what seemed like three minutes.
Discord takes Fluttershy by the hand.
"May I have this dance?" asked Discord
Fluttershy beams.
"YES!"
They begin to dance together.

Joseph, the prince's son, also seems to be having fun. He is jamming to the lyrics.
Then, someone approaches him.
It is Princess Luna. The princess of the night!
Luna then sees the boy.
Joseph looks at her, in awe.
"Princess Luna? Is that you?" asked Joseph
Luna nods.
"Yes, it is. You must be the Prince's son, aren't you?" asked Luna
Joseph nods, with a smile. He is proud to be the son of an amazing hero to Equestria.
"I don't have anywhere to be at the moment and my sister is talking with the leader of Umbra, so..do you mind if we dance together?" Luna asked
Princess Luna is looking at Joseph like a nephew.
Joseph blushes. He is too shy to tell her himself.
He just nods at the princess, agreeing to dance with her.
Luna then takes Joseph by the hand.
Her presence feels warm to Joseph, almost like she is a caring aunt.
Suddenly. The Princess of the Night and the Prince's son both are dancing.
Elsewhere at the party, Princess Celestia and Lord Erubax are conversing.
"So, Princess Celestia, ruler of Equestria, which is this planet's capital. The reason why I am here to talk to you is because I have a proposition to make." Erubax said
Erubax is standing there. His wife, Queen Alexis and his two children- Prince Ezek and Princess Rail, are right beside him.
Celestia looks at him.
"Go on. What is it?" Celestia asks
"Our Umbran soldiers did very well, assisting your citizens, against the evils of Lord Zarkiar. I was wondering if you can sign a peace treaty between both this planet and our home planet Umbra? Meaning you can call for us for backup assistance in case of any serious threat." explained Erubax
Erubax is holding a piece of paper with a pen.
Celestia hesitates at first. However, she eventually agrees.
"Alright. I'll sign it. We may need your help." Celestia said
Celestia then signs the treaty, unifying both Equestrion and Umbra in future conflicts.
Erubax puts the paper away.
"Very well.." he said
Both the sun ruler and the Umbran leader shake each other's hands.
The party then drags on until around 9:30 at night. By that time, Princess Luna already raised the moon.
Afterwards, they all head home for some sleep. The Umbrans headed back to their home planet, except Zeke, who wanted to stay in Equestria to train under Mario.
Unknown to everyone however, this is only just the beginning. Slade will soon make his big entrance, and that could spell the end of everything.

4 days later after the event, Mario is preparing for a double date with Twilight & Rarity. He will go eat at a restaurant with Rarity, and then see a movie with Twilight.
Twilight was not in the mood to eat at a restaurant so she decided to wait until later to meet Mario at the movies. She is staying home with Joseph, and she also appears to have a kid on the way. The new baby is due on the 19th of June.
He is sweating. He is shaking nervously. He doesn't know how he will be able to pull this off, with being in two places at once.
"Ugh..I hope this goes well." said MTSP, sweating

Manehattan, Equestria
The Prince teleported to the fancy restaurant which is called "The Cantering Cook."
Once he arrives at the restaurant, he spots Rarity.
"Darling! You made it." Rarity said, happy that her boyfriend came.
"Of course. I wouldn't miss it for the world." said MTSP
The two both kiss each other.
The waiter ushers them to the table they will sit at.
The two sit down at their seats. The prince and Rarity both read the menu.
MTSP decides to order a hay burger with hay fries. Rarity decides to just get a salad for herself.
They decide to get drinks too. Rarity gets a bottle of grape juice while MTSP just gets water.
They converse for about half an hour while they wait for their food.
"So. How are things at the boutique going? Still successful?" asked MTSP
"Oh yes. My business is going very well. In fact, the shop is getting more and more customers every day!" Rarity exclaimed
The prince nods.
"That's cool!", said MTSP
"Yes.", said Rarity
Mario looks at her. The slightly older, attractive mare. An uncertain look is etched on his face.
Then he thinks about the Princess of Friendship herself..
He wonders what he is doing with his life.
He loved Rarity as much as he loved Twilight. At least he thought he did.
Twilight is very sweet and caring. Sure, she can come off as a perfectionist and at times, very irrational, but she values her friendships. She sees the good in everyone and actually demonstrates that she cares about him. Mario actually is comfortable with feeling like himself around her.
Rarity does care too, but it's a much different thing. For one, unlike Twilight, Rarity can be an absolute diva when things don't go her way. She also freaks out easily when things aren't neat or fancy. While Mario loves Rarity and considers her one of the most attractive mares ever, he doesn't quite love her the same. She might as well just be his friend. Plus, he can't relate to her as much as he can relate to Twilight.
Over the times he got to know both girls, his feeling of love was stronger towards Twilight. Who he would rather spend the rest of his life with.
Suddenly, the food is finally served.
Mario and Rarity are staring at each other. He is eating his big hayburger and hay fries, stuffing his face with the food. Rarity is eating her salad.
It is now around 6:15, MTSP has a date at 6:30 with Twilight at the movies to watch "Power Ponies: Assemble." However, he is staring at Rarity at a fancy restaurant in front of all these pony people.
He is teleporting back and forth between both locations just to be on a date with both. Frankly, he is starting to wish he was just at the movie & just took Rarity with him to meet Twilight there so they all can see it.
Then, after five minutes of silence, Rarity finally speaks up.
"You know, Mario. You have been in a relationship with both me & Twilight for a while! I knew you well, or at least, I thought I knew everything about you.", said Rarity
"So? What's your point?", asked MTSP, clearly annoyed
Rarity snaps at her boyfriend.
She slaps him.
"I now know that you are one of the WORST people I have ever met!
You pay way more attention to Twilight than you do me, Equestria is constantly at war now thanks to you, you are such a party pooper that you can't really enjoy our date, and OH! You have a child named Joseph, out of nowhere. You never even TOLD ME that you had a child with someone you dated before me & Twilight! You abandoned that child for five years! And yet you have the nerve NOT to let him know that I am your OTHER GIRLFRIEND besides Twilight!", yelled Rarity
MTSP gets LIVID!
"Ok, first off, this claim isn't true. I pay attention to the both of you! Not even that long ago, a few days ago, we were on a trio date together as a group! Things have just been busy to the point where I can't always make plans just to spend time with you or Twilight out in public without any disaster happening. Second of all, it's not even my fault! Villains started coming to Equestria before I landed here and you KNOW THAT! You were actually there!
Thirdly, I did not abandon my SON! I didn't even KNOW about him. Serena never told me from the get go so how was I supposed to know that?! Also, JOSEPH IS FIVE YEARS OLD! He shouldn't even know THIS CRAP at that age! He is obviously going to be CONFUSED! He is a kid so LET HIM BE A KID! And yet I am the bad guy in all of THIS?! Wow. Just wow!" yelled MTSP,
The prince is not happy. He gets off the table, and points at her face.
"And by the way, do NOT EVER PUT MY SON'S NAME IN YOUR DAMN MOUTH AGAIN!", yelled MTSP
Pony people are just staring at Prince Mario and Rarity. They knew beforehand that the prince is in a three way relationship with both Twilight & Rarity.
This fight will be the newest celebrity gossip in magazines.
The prince takes a deep breath in and out.
"Now if you excuse me, I am going to catch the movie with Twilight and think about it.", said the prince
Mario takes the rest of his food and puts it inside a bag. He uses a teleportation spell he learned from Twilight & teleports away to the Ponyville theater.

MTSP then shows up outside the theater. He already has the tickets, as he got them ahead of time.
He has an angry look on his face. Twilight looks concerned.
"Mario? Are you okay, honey?", asked Twilight
"Twilight. I don't think we should continue having a relationship with Rarity.", said MTSP
Twilight is shocked.
"W-why?", said Twilight
"I really don't love her. I think she is hot, and I do like her as a friend, but I don't love her the way I do you. I came to realize this after Rarity threw a fit at me for no reason while we were eating out. She accused me of paying more attention to you than her, being a horrible father who abandoned his son and worst of all, blamed me for why villains keep coming to attack us. Basically, all of those were false accusations and I couldn't wait to get out of there.", said Mario
Twilight gasps
"That's not like her at all." Twilight said
"I know. I feel bad for leaving her like this and I want to continue being her friend. But I simply can't continue dating both you and Rarity! It's a mess trying to go back and forth when you two are in the mood for different things. I can't juggle between you both. Twilight, you are the one I wish to spend the rest of my life with. While Rarity cares a great deal for me, she can be a jerk and freaks out a lot when things don't go her way. I don't feel comfortable with dating her.
Not saying you are perfect either, but you are much more mature. You value your friendships and relationships. You see the good in everybody and I can be myself more around you then her. That's why I wish to break up this threesome relationship. I only love you. I love you, Twilight Sparkle.", he said.
Twilight has tears dripping down her eyes.
Twilight still has feelings for Rarity, hence why they agreed to both have Mario as their boyfriend. However, Twilight agrees with Mario. It's better for Mario and Twilight to be exclusive, with Rarity as a friend. They also still need Rarity as she is the element of generosity so she can help them against any threat they will come across together.
Twilight hugs MTSP.
"I would love to be your sole girlfriend.", said Twilight
Mario smiles. He hugs her back.
The hug lasts for a minute then they break apart.
"Come on, honey. It's almost time for the movie previews to start, so we go inside", said MTSP
MTSP takes Twilight by the hand. They go to the counter to scan their tickets.
Then they go into Theater 8 for the 6:30 showing of Power Ponies Assemble

As Mario and Twilight are going inside Theater 8, Kit then spies on the couple.
The dark orange fox looks at his communicator. He reports back to Slade.
"Deathstroke. We found Mario and Twilight inside the movie theater in Manehattan. They are heading into Theater 8.", said Kit

Slade's Equestrian Lair
Underground cave in Canterlot
"Good work, Kit. Now. I'll be able to track them down. Together we shall stop them once and for all.", said Slade
Slade has an evil grin on his face. He laughs, in a sinister manner.
Little does he know that Kit is only pretending that he is a spy, so Kit's little act seems to be fooling him.

Back at the theater, Kit slips inside, hiding in the shadows. He is sitting behind Mario and Twilight.
Neither of them notice Kit being there.
The previews come and go. During it all, MTSP decided to get some popcorn.
Once Mario came back with the popcorn, the movie started.
Twilight whispers in Mario's ear.
"The movie is starting.", whispered Twilight
The prince nods at her, with a smile.
They see the Power Ponies on screen. There is filler going on, but once the action starts, it gets good.
One filly kept talking a bit in the beginning of the movie.
Luckily, Twilight came and shushed the filly. The mother apologized.
The couple are clapping together when the awesome action scenes come on.

Kit is also watching the movie. He is smirking.
"This movie isn't that bad…" Kit muttered

2 hours go by. The movie has finished. Both Mario and Twilight exit the theater.
"That movie was awesome! You can tell so much care was put into it. The action was amazing, and the characters were actually written well. This is the best movie of the year!", exclaimed MTSP
Twilight nods. She agrees with her boyfriend. It was amazing.
They keep quiet for a bit until Twilight says something.
She points at her big stomach.
"Mario…I think the baby is growing fast. She's coming.", said Twilight
The prince blushes.
"That's…interesting news. However she is growing a little too fast. Much faster than normal. Let's just hope the baby turns out to be healthy. Wow, I remember the time when we first found out, only a few days after we met Joseph. Time flies by fast."
Flashback
Twilight just walked out of the doctors office, with the news that she and Mario are having a baby. Her hands touch her heart. She has a little bump in her stomach that proves it. She can't wait to tell him.

She rushes home. She looks at her boyfriend MTSP, who is smiling.
"Oh. You're home? So, what did they say?", asked Mario
"I-I'm having a baby! I'm having YOUR BABY!", yelled Twilight, in joy
Mario's eyes tear up.
"This means…I am going to be a FATHER again!" Mario said
MTSP jumps in joy. He smiles.
"And Joseph is going to have a new sibling. I bet he will be so happy!" exclaimed Twilight
"I know he would.." said MTSP

Meanwhile, Ken looks at the couple as they are walking outside at night.
He has a serious look on his face.
"The Prince of Equestria and his girlfriend will have no idea what I have done…" he said, "this baby shall be born a darklite."
Vengis, the dark spirit of revenge, is right in front of Ken. He creates a dark portal. Ken follows him through inside of it, and both disappear.

Mario and Twilight hold each other's hands.
They headed home to the Castle of Friendship in Ponyville.
They walk right inside to see Joseph & Spike resting with the pets (Mouster the Cat, Wolfshocker the Dog and Penny Ling the Panda)
Spike agreed to watch Mario's son, Joseph, while he & Twilight were gone.
"Awwwww." MTSP and Twilight both said
Twilight then smiles at her boyfriend.
"I think Spike did a good job watching him." said Twilight
"Me too, Twi." he said
Both MTSP and Twilight are about to rest after a long night.
However, Spike burps out a letter from Princess Celestia.
Joseph and the pets's eyes wide open at the noise. They see Spike burping.
Spike runs over to MTSP and Twilight.
"Twilight! Mario!" yelled out Spike,
He runs with the letter.
Mario and Twilight look at Spike in confusion
"What's wrong Spike?" asked Twilight
"Princess Celestia wants to see you now in Canterlot. It's a very important emergency." said Spike
"Well, what are we waiting for then? Let's go." MTSP said
"Yeah. And oh, Spike, Watch Joseph again while we are gone." said Twilight, "He really needs you."
Spike nods.
MTSP and Twilight run out of their castle. They both teleport to Celestia and Luna's castle in Canterlot.
Canterlot
Castle 9:00 PM
MTSP and Twilight teleport right in front of the castle.
Twilight & Mario are approached by guards.
They look at them cautiously.
"State your business.", said one of the guards
"Look sir- we have an important appointment with the princess so let us in or I will-" MTSP, growling
Twilight shakes her head, and puts her hand to him.
She then speaks to the guard
"We are supposed to see Princess Celestia." Twilight said
Upon closer look, they realized it was two of the most celebrated heroes in Equestria, the Prince of Equestria and the Princess of Friendship themselves. So, they let them in to see Princess Celestia.
Twilight and Mario walk inside the castle.
Both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are sitting on their thrones.
Luna looks at her sister.
"I think they're here, sister.", said Princess Luna
Celestia nods.
She then gets off her throne. Her big, white wings are flapping as she walks down to the two.
Luna follows her sister and gets off her throne too.
"I am glad you could make it. It is very important I speak to the both of you.", said Celestia
"Yeah, sure. I don't have all night. What is it?", asked MTSP, in a rude tone
Twilight facepalms at what her boyfriend just said.
However, she decided to let it go because this clearly was more important right now.
"Your rival and friend, Kit, has betrayed Equestria.." Celestia said,
Mario and Twilight's eyes wide open in shock
"WHAT?!", exclaimed both Mario and Twilight
The room remains quiet for a few seconds.
The Prince laughs.
He turns into his dark form, out of anger. A dark parasite thing is attached to his back.
"I know Kit very well. He is many things but a TRAITOR?", Dark MTSP said, while still laughing, "Give me a break. You must be joking right?! How is THAT guy a traitor?!"
He laughs again but this time, manically.
Twilight looks at her boyfriend in fear. Celestia is scared too but remains calm, so does Luna.
"Uh, Mario. Snap out of it!", exclaimed Twilight
MTSP then turns back to normal. A voice can be heard very faintly.
"How pathetic.." it said
"Listen. Kit is working as a spy & assistant for this guy named Slade. Slade Wilson. He also goes by Deathstroke. You know who he is right?" Celestia said, while asking both MTSP & Twilight
"We know him. In fact, we plan on stopping him for good.", said Twilight
"And we will kill him.", said MTSP, suddenly speaking in a grave tone
The prince coughs and then speaks normally.
"But. How can he be working for Slade? I thought he was mainly on our side.", asked MTSP, confused
Neither he or Twilight still really believe Celestia about Kit working with Slade, but they decide to keep quiet about it and not tell her that, due to her probably getting mad at them.
"That's exactly what we want to know.", said Twilight
"Well, we suspect that Deathstroke and Kit plan to seize Equestria and take it over for themselves. Then, they may do the same to the multiverse.", Celestia said
The prince scratches his chin
Twilight rubs her stomach.
"I see.", said Twilight,
"Princess Celestia. You have done us good over the thousand years you have ruled Equestria. However, I feel like you are kind of jumping to conclusions? What if Kit has a secret motive to working for Slade? What if Kit plans on betraying Slade later so he can fight alongside us? You never know what will happen with him." MTSP said, defending his rival
"I know you think he can do no wrong but the fact remains that he must be stopped, along with Slade. Kit is a traitor." Celestia said, "That's what this meeting is about. They both must be stopped so we can all be saved."
Princess Luna looks at her sister, Celestia, with an angry look. She is not pleased.
Luna decides to say something.
"Excuse me, sister, but the Prince of Equestria has a point. For the times I have known Kit, he does not strike me as one who would betray his allies. Especially not his girlfriend Eliza, who he loves more dearly than anything else in the world. Kit is my friend. He would never do this. I believe he is pretending to work for Slade so he can betray him later, if he is working for him at all. You are jumping to conclusions again just like you did during the Changeling Inv-" Luna said, defending Kit, but got cut off by Celestia
"Luna! Save your comments for after it's over!" Celestia yelled,
A loud commotion is heard in the distance.
"I can hear something going on in Canterlot. Let's go!"
Luna nods.
Celestia, Luna, Twilight, and Mario walk out of the castle.
Everyone is running and screaming as a bunch of Slade bots go haywire.
A creepy evil shadow, in orange & black, is facing down at the civilians. He is accompanied by another.
"Those fools will not stand a chance against us.." said Slade
Kit nods, with an evil grin plastered on his face.

Eliza is standing right by the scene.
Mario and Twilight both look at Eliza
"Hey, Mario! Twilight! Long time no see!" Eliza called out
"We have no time for this, Eliza. We have important matters to take care of." said Twilight
"Right." Eliza said
Slade then walks up to Mario, Twilight, Eliza, Celestia and Luna
"Hello Mario and Twilight. It's so nice to finally see your faces again." Slade said
Mario growls.
"What do you WANT with us?!" exclaimed MTSP
Twilight then transforms into her rainbow super powered form out of nowhere, meaning that she looks more like a pony again.
She is confused but she decides to let it go for now. They have to stop Slade.
"I want you all to die so I can take over your world, as well as the multiverse." Slade said
Eliza growls.
"You won't get away with this!" Eliza exclaimed
"Foolish girl. I already have done damage, destroying so many civilians. I already eliminated half of the Teen titans, and many others, now I will eliminate all of you pathetic heroes. I, Slade, will rule all. There is nothing you can do to stop me now!" Vowed Slade
Deathstroke is laughing maniacally.
He then noticed Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.
He walks up to greet them.
Slade gets closer and closer to Celestia's face, then to Luna.
"Ah. It's finally nice to meet you, princesses." Slade said, "I have been waiting a long time to finally meet the two rulers of Equestria, face to face."
Celestia and Luna both growl at him.
"What do you want with us, let alone the whole multiverse, Deathstroke?!" yelled Celestia
"I want to destroy the whole multiverse as it stands so I can remake it in my own image. The new multiverse will be controlled by me, and all of the worlds and planets will do exactly like I say, controlling their every move." Slade said
MTSP growls.
"Well, we are going to kill you, so you can say goodbye to your precious life." MTSP said,
"I am ready to take you down." said Twilight
"Me too!" yelled out Eliza
"Yeah!" Luna shouted out
Slade chuckles
"I suppose you all will change your minds, after seeing this. " said Slade
A certain red-orange fox steps out of the shadows.
It is MTSP's rival.
Kit.
MTSP, Twilight, Eliza and Princess Luna are shocked. They are surprised that Celestia was right all along.
Princess Celestia is not surprised. She knew it was coming.
"Celestia wasn't lying? Kit actually works for Slade now? Wow. What a twist. However, there's got to be something more to this..", Mario thought
Unknown to everyone, this was only just the beginning of the war.
