As the morning light poured into the house, Rachel stirred from her slumber as her trusty alarm clock jolted her awake at 6:45. Gently reaching over, she silenced the alarm before it could disturb Quinn's peaceful sleep. After stretching out and grabbing her clothes, she made her way to the bathroom to freshen up and prepare for the day ahead, sticking to her familiar morning routine before getting ready.

After finishing her morning preparations, Rachel applied a light layer of makeup and checked her appearance in the mirror before running a brush through her hair. Descending the stairs, she began working on a set list for the glee club and was soon joined by Shelby, who had just brewed a pot of coffee in the kitchen. Intrigued by Rachel's project, Shelby asked what she was working on. With a pensive expression, Rachel replied that she was putting together a set list for the glee club.

Shelby inquired, "Is it going well?"

Rachel looked up and responded, "Yes, but we're having trouble agreeing on the songs we want to sing."

Shelby offered her advice, saying, "After working with students for so long, I've learned to make compromises by considering all opinions before making a final decision."

"Thank you for the advice; I'll keep that in mind," Rachel said with a bright smile. "I also wanted to ask you when we can invite our friends over."

"They can come over when Cassie or I are here," Shelby replied. "On school days, your friends can't stay for too long, but on weekends, they can."

"That's fair," Rachel replied, standing up and putting her papers in her backpack.

"On Friday, we're going to throw a welcome home party to officially welcome you into this family," Shelby said with a bright smile. "You can invite your friends, and we can all go to the pool and swim."

"I'd love that! Thank you," Rachel said happily.

Shelby added, "I really don't want you all to swim in the public pool because of the hygiene concerns. So, I was planning on taking you girls to my mom's house later, where you can swim with your friends."

"We would love that," Rachel said with enthusiasm.

After their conversation, Rachel headed to the kitchen to assist Shelby in preparing a delicious breakfast. They decided to make strawberry oatmeal, toast, bacon, and eggs.

Shelby and Rachel were busy in the kitchen, whipping up a delicious breakfast while the other three teenagers were getting ready for school. After getting dressed, Santana made her way to her parents' bedroom to have a heart-to-heart with her mother, Cassie. During their discussion, Cassie gently reminded Santana about her upcoming doctor's appointment scheduled for 8 am the next morning. Santana would have to miss her first period of school, but Cassie assured her that she would drop her off at school afterward.

Santana, feeling responsible, offered, "I could just skip school tomorrow. Either Kitty or Quinn can bring me my homework."

However, Cassie firmly responded, "No, you're not missing out on your other classes, Tiger."

Upon respecting her mother's decision, Santana gracefully descended the staircase to the inviting dining room, where she warmly greeted everyone with a cheerful "Good morning," setting a positive tone for the day ahead. The family gathered around the table, basking in the heartwarming atmosphere as they indulged in a delightful breakfast, reveling in the joy of each other's company. Following this delightful meal, Kitty and Santana efficiently cleared the table, making sure that every dish was meticulously washed and put away.

The kitchen gleamed as Shelby took charge of ensuring that everyone was safely and promptly dropped off at their respective destinations. Meanwhile, Cassie expertly maneuvered her SUV through the bustling morning traffic to transport Rachel to school.

As Rachel arrived, she was warmly welcomed by her friends Kurt and Mercedes. Shortly after, Cassie expertly navigated her way to Carmel High, while Mercedes, Rachel, and Kurt headed straight to Lima Bean to indulge in their love for coffee. They were drawn in by the delightful fragrance of freshly brewed coffee and confidently made their way into the cozy café.

While waiting in line, Rachel excitedly shared the wonderful news that Shelby had discussed with her. After ordering and paying for their coffee, they strolled back to school, savoring every sip of their delicious beverage savoring every sip of their delicious beverages.

After a long and tiring day at school, Santana, Quinn, and Kitty dutifully sat at their mother's neatly organized desk in her brightly decorated classroom. They quietly worked on their respective homework assignments, patiently waiting for their hardworking mom to finish her tasks. Santana, being the first to complete her homework, skillfully shifted her focus to creating a captivating and vibrant flyer for the school's highly anticipated upcoming dance team tryouts. Shelby, their dedicated and supportive mother, noticed the unwavering dedication of her three children and warmly smiled at them, filled with pride and love.

Santana politely requested permission to use the school's state-of-the-art computer lab to print out the meticulously designed flyer.

"Of course, Tiger. We'll be leaving in 30 minutes," Shelby replied with a gentle and encouraging smile. Santana nodded appreciatively and moved to the computer with Kitty and Quinn eagerly offering their valuable assistance and creative input. With their combined efforts, they carefully and thoughtfully designed the flyer, ensuring every detail was perfect.

Santana felt a swell of pride as she printed it out, a satisfied smile beaming across her face. She carefully placed the freshly printed flyer in her meticulously organized binder, slipped the binder into her trendy backpack, and quickly checked her phone for messages. After replying to thoughtful texts from Brittany and Puck, Santana efficiently prepared to leave as her mom and her two sisters as their mom announced that it was time to go. They gathered their belongings and graciously walked together to Shelby's sleek, black Escalade, ready to head home and relax after a highly productive and satisfying day at school.

After returning home, they placed their backpacks in the corner, while Shelby placed her purse, briefcase, and keys on the side table. Santana picked a ripe banana and a selection of other fruits to use in a refreshing smoothie. Cassie joined Santana in the kitchen and kindly offered to help with making the smoothie. Santana gladly accepted and asked for Cassie's help in gathering the remaining ingredients for the delicious smoothie and placing them in the blender.

Cassie turned on the blender, and after it finished, she carefully poured the smoothie into three different cups. She handed one to Santana and the other two to Quinn and Kitty, while preparing an additional one for herself, Shelby, and Rachel. As Rachel placed the new pillows on the bed in the room they were preparing for her she reached over and took one of the cups from Cassie's hand.

Meanwhile, Shelby stood at the door and complimented the guys on how well they had painted the room, taking a sip from her cup.

"They finished up before all of you got here," she added.

Shelby nodded as she drank her delicious smoothie and walked out of the room, heading downstairs. When Santana asked her mom if she could cook dinner, Shelby was reluctant to let her and said maybe another time.

"Fine," Santana said, walking to the backyard with her sisters.

After enjoying every last sip of her refreshing smoothie, Shelby meticulously washed her favorite cup before moving on to the freshly cleaned dishes waiting in the dishwasher. With care, she placed each dish in its designated spot in the cabinets.

As she carried out her chores, the melodic voices of Santana, Kitty, and Quinn filled the air from outside, where they were joyfully singing along with the music. It was already 5:30 in the evening, prompting Shelby to begin preparing a mouthwatering dinner. After some contemplation, she settled on crafting Chicken Fajitas, featuring colorful bell peppers for added flavor.

Cassie entered the kitchen and made a beeline for the pantry, emerging with a bag of tasty Plan lays chips and a bag of Doritos . Placing them on the table alongside the soft shells and sauce, she added a delightful touch to the forthcoming meal.

When the chicken fajitas were ready, she called her family in from outside, and they all fixed their plates before sitting down in the dining room to enjoy their delicious dinner.

After dinner, Shelby told her family that Shelby and her mother had a glee rehearsal scheduled for the next day, and they would be back late. Santana suggested taking the bus home, or Quinn could drive them after school. Shelby also offered the option of watching the rehearsal, to which Santana, Kitty, and Quinn expressed varying levels of interest and amusement.

Cassie then asked Rachel about her plans for the next day. Rachel responded by saying that she had a glee club rehearsal until 4:30, and Kurt's dad would take me up home after we go out to eat.

"Keep me posted, Rachel," Shelby said. Kitty and Santana then started to clear the table, washed and dried the dishes, and put everything away, including the leftovers in containers.

After tidying up the dining room together, Quinn and Rachel made sure everything was in place before getting ready for bed. They then joined the rest of their family in the living room. There, they spent quality time either engrossed in their favorite books or engaged in friendly competition with various board games. As the evening wore on, Cassie, mindful of Santana's early doctor's appointment, gently reminded her to head to bed at 9 PM. An initially grumpy Santana trudged up the stairs after bidding her moms goodnight. Meanwhile, Quinn, Kitty, and Rachel stayed up for a bit longer, enjoying each other's company before finally heading to bed around 10 PM after kissing their moms goodnight.
