Total Drama Random Island

Chapter 19 : Hook, Line, and Screamer

Bardockfloo: Thank you very much, I try my best to make them more interesting.

Luckyhill2: I've finally recovered from my arm and I'll be able to write again.

Last time on Total Drama Island* The contestants had to build their own bikes and then race through an obstacle course. Scott and Duncan almost got into a fight, heightening the tension between them. Idris caused chaos by forgetting to attach screws to his bike, leading to a major crash. In the end, Shawn was eliminated after losing the final race. Who will be the next winner? Who will be the next loser? Will my contract be renewed for next season? To find out, watch the new episode of TOTAL DRAMA... ISLAND.

After the intro music, we see the forest in black and white, and a shadowy figure appears. Up close, it's a killer with a chainsaw, ready to attack. But in reality, it's just a movie the campers are watching.

"He's coming out of the woods with a chainsaw! This is awesome," said Duncan.

"No, the psycho's heading toward the van," said Idris.

"Crazy couple! Stop kissing and get in the car," said Leshawna, throwing popcorn at the screen.

"He's going to chop them all up!" said Sammy.

A scream of horror could be heard in the movie.

"Of course, the car won't start," said Dave, clearly annoyed with the film.

"Oh man, I hate horror movies," said DJ.

"Run! The psycho's going to catch you!" said Idris, fully invested in the movie.

Duncan grinned with pleasure, while DJ was so scared he covered his eyes.

"This is going to end in a bloodbath," said Gwen.

On the screen, a terrifying scene unfolded.

Duncan and Gwen enjoyed the scene, unlike DJ, who was still hiding his eyes.

"Oh my god! I can't watch this anymore," said Sammy, jumping into Idris' arms.

"Don't worry, I've got you," said Idris.

He looked over at Dave and Duncan, who gave him a thumbs-up.

The movie ended.

"Finally, it's over. I really hate horror movies," said DJ.

"Really? The part that scares you the most is when everyone dies," Duncan said, mimicking a choking motion.

DJ started to get scared.

"Or the one with the bloodthirsty psycho with the hook," said Duncan, pulling out a hook.

DJ jumped behind Leshawna, panicked.

Confessional: DJ

That was really uncool, Duncan.

End of Confessional

"For a horror movie, that wasn't so scary," said Gwen.

"There weren't enough deaths. Not like in *Bloodbath II: Terror Raid," said Duncan.

"Really? That's one of my favorite horror movies. I love when the killer shoves the guy's hand into the lawnmower," said Gwen.

DJ started to panic even more.

"Or when he pushes the girl off the dock and she lands on a propeller blade that slices her in half," Duncan added.

"Or when he shoves the guy into the woodchipper," Gwen and Duncan said in unison.

DJ jumped on Leshawna in fear.

"That's strange, I've never heard of those movies," said Idris.

"What! You're serious?" said Duncan.

"I'm dead serious," Idris replied.

"Even I've heard of them," said Scott.

"Anyway, horror movies aren't my thing. The only ones I like are *Scream* and *Friday the 13th," said Idris.

"I've never heard of those," said Gwen.

"Are you sure you didn't make them up?" Leshawna said, tossing popcorn at DJ.

"You've never heard of those? They're horror movie classics," said Idris.

The other campers all shook their heads.

Confessional: Idris

"There's definitely something wrong with this. How can you not know those movies? They're classics in horror film history."

End of Confessional

"All horror movies are really the best," said Gwen.

"Yeah, you're absolutely right," said Duncan.

"It's cute, looks like you two have something in common," said Scott.

"Nobody asked you, farm boy," said Duncan.

"Maybe not, but horror movies are really lame," said Scott.

"Horror movies are not lame," said Gwen.

"She's right. They're full of psychological challenges. Just look at DJ," said Duncan, pointing at DJ, who was still scared.

"Anyway, some of us know what this week's challenge is," said Scott.

"Yeah, where's Chris?" said Sammy.

A boat's engine could be heard. The campers went to check it out.

They found Chef Hatchet loading bags onto a boat.

"Chef! What's the emergency?" said Duncan.

Chef Hatchet, terrified, said nothing, then left with Chris in the boat.

"Look, they forgot a bag," said Idris.

A newspaper fell out of the bag, and Idris read the headline.

"A psycho killer escapes from prison. Be cautious if you see a man wearing a hockey mask carrying a chainsaw," said Idris.

"Wait, what? Is this serious?" said Sammy.

"Of course not. We're just watching a horror movie where a guy kills people with a chainsaw, and now we're hearing about a guy who does the same thing being on the loose. Seems pretty fishy to me," said Dave.

"I don't know. Chris and Chef looked pretty scared when they left," said DJ.

"But can't you see? This is all part of Chris's setup," said Dave.

"If this was the challenge, Chris would've forgotten..." said Idris, searching the bag.

"His hair gel," said Idris.

All the campers were shocked, except Dave.

"So it's real," said Gwen.

"So let me get this straight: Chris left us alone while a psycho with a chainsaw is on the loose on the island?" said DJ, terrified.

"No. We're all alone on this island, and the psycho has a hook!" said Duncan.

"AHHHHHH!" DJ screamed in fear.

"I told you, man, it's not funny," said DJ.

"Calm down, DJ, stop freaking out over nothing," said Leshawna.

"Sorry, I can't help it. I feel like I'm being watched," said DJ.

"I told you, this was just Chris's challenge," said Dave.

Confessional: Dave

Why doesn't anyone believe me? I mean, it's obvious Chris is testing us.

End of Confessional

A screen shows Dave's face in the confessional.

"Dave is right, and tonight we'll find out who survives the horror movie, played out in real life with a special guest appearance by... Mr. Psycho, escaped with his chainsaw and hook," said Chris.

Back with the campers:

"Listen, we don't care if it's real or just a challenge. We need a plan," said Gwen.

"Yeah, yeah, we need a plan," said DJ.

"Seriously, you really believe this?" said Dave.

"Dude, imagine if it's true, we better not take any chances," said Idris.

"Okay, I'll go with you, but I have to warn you, this is all fake," said Dave.

"For my part, I'm not following you. This is obviously fake," said Scott.

"WHAT! Scott's not coming with us?" said DJ.

"No, it's pointless. Next time Chris will just rent a movie set at a summer camp, so we'll fall for the trick even more," said Scott, walking away.

"I tried, but all the DVDs were already rented out," said Chris.

Scott came back.

"I've got nowhere else to go, so I'm sticking with you," said Scott.

"Great, so we're all here. Let's head to the campfire and strategize," said Gwen.

The campers headed to the campfire until Sammy stopped Idris.

"Let's take a walk at night," said Sammy.

"But didn't you hear? There's a killer on the island," said Idris.

"You didn't hear Dave. It's a game," said Sammy.

"Well... okay, let's go for that night walk," said Idris.

After that, we see Idris and Sammy in the forest.

"So you've never heard of the *Matrix* movies?" said Idris.

"No, but maybe you can help me discover them," said Sammy.

"Are you asking me on a date?" said Idris.

"No, just a moment between you and me," said Sammy.

"So I'm asking you if you want to watch it with me," said Idris.

"I'd love to," said Sammy.

"By the way, where are we going?" said Idris.

"We're just walking in the woods," said Sammy.

"Yeah. The woods. The woods. Why do I feel so nervous?" said Idris.

After that, we return to the other campers at the camp.

"So rule number one: never walk alone. Rule number two: if you do walk alone, never go into the woods. Rule number three: if you ever go into the woods, never flirt in the woods, or you'll die in the woods. Got it?" said Gwen.

"I wouldn't worry about that, but where are Idris and Sammy?" said Dave.

"They're breaking rules one, two, and three," said Duncan.

Forest

Idris and Sammy walk again.

"Doesn't it make you nervous being here?" Idris asked.

"No, Amy used to lock me in the basement, so I'm pretty used to it, and I've completely forgotten about that whole killer thing," Sammy replied.

"That's it! The psychopathic killer!" Idris said, worried.

Sammy looked at Idris.

"In the movie, this is how the couple dies," Idris added.

"Don't worry, it was just a movie," Sammy said.

"Sorry, I'm a bit nervous about this whole thing," Idris admitted.

"I know a way to relax," Sammy said. She grabbed Idris and pulled him into a bush where they started kissing.

"Chainsaw noise"

"Did you hear that?" Idris asked.

"Yeah, but what is it?" Sammy replied.

They came out of the bushes and saw the killer.

"Oh shit, run Sammy!" Idris shouted.

The killer started chasing them. It was a long chase until they reached a ravine.

"What do we do now?" Sammy asked.

"We have no choice but to jump," Idris said.

"But you're crazy!" Sammy exclaimed.

"No, look, there's a bush right below us. If we fall into it, we won't get hurt," Idris explained.

"It's too dangerous," Sammy said.

"Don't worry, I'll go first so I can catch you," Idris said.

He jumped but hit several things: a rock, some thorns, a goat, a fire hydrant, a cactus, an explosion, and a campfire.

"I'm fine, you can come," Idris called.

She jumped, and unlike Idris, she dodged everything.

"I got you," Idris said.

His moment of joy was cut short by the killer who was already there.

"Oh no, not again," Sammy said.

"Sammy, run quickly! I'll hold him off," Idris said.

"What! No way," Sammy replied.

"Go, let me do this, I promise I'll survive," Idris insisted.

"You better keep that promise," Sammy said as she ran off.

"Alright. Between us, the killer is trying to catch me," Idris muttered.

He didn't have time to run; the killer had already caught up to him.

"Let me go, I promised my girlfriend I wouldn't die," Idris pleaded.

The killer took him to a cabin where Chris was inside.

"Chris? So Dave was right from the start," Idris said.

"Exactly, all of this was just a game," Chris explained.

"So who's the killer?" Idris asked.

"It's Chef Hatchet," Chris revealed.

"How could I have been fooled?" Idris wondered.

"You're not the only one who got tricked," Chris said.

Chef Hatchet came in with Sammy in hand.

"Idris! I was so scared," Sammy said, jumping into Idris's arms.

"Sorry, but at least we managed to create an emotional and epic scene," Idris said.

"That's true, the audience has never been this big," Chris noted.

"By the way, where are we?" Sammy asked.

"You're in the observation room. All of this is a challenge," Chris explained.

"The others were right. I was right to believe them," Sammy admitted.

"You're both eliminated, you can watch the leader catch up with the others," Chris said.

"Cool, a horror movie without a murder," Idris said.

Campfire

"I made a chart with the eight candidates still on the list," Gwen said.

"You can already cross off the couple," Duncan added.

"Where are Scott and DJ?" Gwen asked.

"DJ had to go to the bathroom and needed someone to accompany him," Duncan explained.

Bathroom

"Well, no matter what happens, don't move from here, even if you hear a psychopath or even see one," DJ said.

"Don't worry, I won't move," Scott replied.

Confessional: Scott

Normally I would have left to get rid of him, but I'm in an alliance with him, so I had to stay.

End of Confessional

DJ went into the bathroom.

"Get in the ice cream truck," Chris said.

"Ice cream truck noise"

"Ice cream! Where's the ice cream truck?" Scott said as he walked away.

DJ in the bathroom was terrified.

"Is someone there?" DJ called out.

No one answered.

"You need to calm down, I need to be a man," DJ told himself.

DJ finished what he was doing and went to the bathroom.

"Scott! Scott! Where are you?" DJ called.

He was terrified because he was alone in the forest.

"Scott! You abandoned me. Why! Why!" DJ cried.

"DJ. DJ. DJ," a terrifying voice said.

"Who said that? Duncan, this isn't funny," DJ said.

"DJ. DJ. DJ," the voice repeated.

He ran because he was too scared and ran across the whole island at full speed until he arrived at Chris's tent, screaming.

"Calm down, DJ, it's over," Chris said.

"Is that true?" DJ asked.

"It was just Chef, he just wanted to scare you, that's all. But apparently, he didn't need to, obviously," Chris explained.

"So who was calling my name?" DJ asked.

"You must have been hallucinating from fear," Chris said.

"Are you serious? He literally called my name several times," DJ insisted.

"I'm serious, it happens often," Chris said.

"I'm not crazy, I'm waiting for the votes," DJ said.

"It doesn't matter, you got scared without Chef even needing to intervene," Chris said.

Bathroom

"Is everything okay here? I heard someone screaming," Gwen said.

Gwen found no one.

"There's no one here, it looks like DJ and Scott got caught," Gwen said.

"So Chris is still on the island," Dave, who had followed Gwen, said.

"What are you doing here?" Gwen asked.

"I wanted to take a shower," Dave replied.

"A shower? You'll be an easy target for the killer," Gwen warned.

"Seriously Gwen, I thought you were smarter than the others and understood," Dave said.

"I know, but we can't take any risks," Gwen said.

"Alright, you know what Gwen, if I'm right, you shouldn't vote against me tonight," Dave said.

"Okay, I agree," Gwen said.

They returned to the campfire.

"Did Dave just call us stupid?" Sammy asked.

"No, he probably meant that Gwen has superior intelligence," Idris said.

"Are you sure?" Sammy asked.

"Yeah, I know him, I know he wouldn't insult us," Idris said.

Confessional: Idris

Okay, I had no idea, but knowing Dave, he never insults for no reason.

End of Confessional

When Gwen and Dave returned, they found Duncan alone.

"Where's Leshawna?" Gwen asked.

"She went to get something to eat," Duncan explained.

Confessional: Gwen

No one listens to me.

End of Confessional

"I'll go look for her," Dave said as he left.

"You can already cross them off the list, the killer will get them," Duncan said.

Refectory

Leshawna entered the dining room and walked slowly until the door slammed shut.

Her moment of fear was interrupted by the delicious smell of brownies.

"Exactly what I was looking for," Leshawna said.

She grabbed the tray of brownies and left until she heard a voice...

"Leshawna. Leshawna. Leshawna. Brownie. Brownie," the terrifying voice said.

"Who said that?" Leshawna asked.

The lights went out.*

She tried to escape, but when she opened the door, Chef was standing right in front of her. Leshawna backed away.

"That's right, I'm sixteen and have all my teeth. Come on, I'm waiting for you," said Leshawna.

She tried to run, but Chef quickly caught up with her.

"I didn't see that coming. Unbelievable," said Leshawna.

"You challenged him too. That wasn't safe," said Chris, munching on a brownie. "But you scored some points by bringing that delicious cake," Chris added.

"Wait, there's a point system?" Idris asked.

"Not for the challenge, just for my esteem," said Chris.

"Does that give any advantage in the game?" asked Sammy.

"No, it doesn't," Chris replied.

In the Forest

"Where's that ice cream truck?" Scott wondered.

He continued searching until Chef Hatchet began following him.

"How does he not notice someone is following him?" Idris asked.

Chef tapped Scott on the shoulder.

"Hey, have you seen an ice cream truck?" Scott asked.

Chef said nothing.

"Cut it out, you can't scare me," said Scott.

Chef pulled out a chainsaw.

"Okay, maybe this story is true," said Scott.

He screamed, and Chef grabbed him, dragging him back to the tent.

"Poor guy, he's such a jerk," said Chris.

"He took me to the bathroom, and you never leave a friend when they have to pee," said DJ.

"Wow, that's a cowardly thing to do," said Idris.

"So, there are only three of us left," said Gwen.

"No, just two. Dave isn't back yet," Duncan said.

"I'm not even surprised that people are still disappearing," said Gwen.

"You know, what annoys me the most is that I try to help them," said Gwen.

"That's life, baby," said Duncan, holding two burning sticks in his hands.

"You're a real pyromaniac, Duncan!" said Gwen.

"Yeah, I like it when things burn," Duncan replied.

"That's why you went to juvie," said Gwen.

"As if I'd tell you why," Duncan said as he set the board on fire.

"You're insane! I'm going to get some water," Gwen said, walking away.

"And now I'm the only one left," said Duncan.

"Duncan, Duncan, Duncan, Juvie, Juvie," said a voice.

"Just you and me, psycho," said Duncan as he went to confront the killer.

Gwen returned with a bucket of water and extinguished the fire.

"Duncan, Duncan?" Gwen called out.

Dave returned.

"I looked everywhere for Leshawna, but I couldn't find her," said Dave.

"You're alive! I thought you were dead," said Gwen.

"Where are the others?" asked Dave.

"Forget it, no one listens to me," Gwen said.

"I'm going to make a sandwich, do you want one?" Gwen asked.

"Yeah, sure," Dave replied.

Duncan arrived at the Dock of Shame, where Chef was waiting for him.

"Oh my God! He's going to fight him," said Idris.

"He's face to face with the psycho," said DJ.

"The audience is going to skyrocket," said Chris.

Confessional: Duncan

"I'm not afraid of psychos, the winner will be the last one standing."

End of Confessional

"I have a feeling you and I are going to have a lot of fun," Duncan said with a smirk.

Chef Hatchet approached him.

Duncan threw a wooden chair, but Chef knocked it away.

He tried again with a wooden boat, but Chef smashed that too.

He tried once more with a life jacket, but Chef slashed it.

He tried again with a surfboard, but that too was cut down.

Duncan had one last idea: he grabbed a fish from the water and threw it at Chef.

"What? I ran out of things to throw at you," said Duncan.

Chef tried to strike, but Duncan dodged.

He broke the chainsaw handle, then stood up and cut the hook off Chef.

In the Dining Hall

Dave and Gwen were eating sandwiches and chatting.

"And that's how I survived my high school year," said Gwen.

"Wow, your life is more complicated than I thought," said Dave.

"So, how's life at home?" asked Gwen.

"I'm not that interesting, just an ordinary guy, and I'm fine with that," said Dave.

"I'm happy to meet someone normal," said Gwen.

"Yeah, it's true, people on this island are pretty weird. The craziest thing is there's a girl who can see auras," said Dave.

"I think that's pretty creepy," said Gwen.

"Yeah, me too. But there are also some really nice people," said Dave.

"Yeah. Leshawna, Sammy, and DJ are pretty cool," said Gwen.

"There's also Idris and Duncan," Dave added.

"Duncan? Well, no, I don't think so," said Gwen.

"But it's true, he was nice to me," said Dave.

"Maybe it's just strategic," said Gwen.

"His strategy helped me a lot, and I'm sure there's some good in him," Dave said.

"He's always been in juvie. I guess he sees you as a partner, not a friend," Gwen said.

"You really think so?" asked Dave.

"Yeah, I don't think friends are his thing," said Gwen.

"Now that you mention it, he did make me promise not to vote for him in exchange for his help," said Dave.

"He's smarter than I thought. He's a big threat," said Gwen.

Their conversation was interrupted by a guy with a chainsaw and a hook.

"Look, Gwen, it's the killer," Dave joked.

"He really thinks we're going to believe that," said Gwen.

"I guess, but we're not that naive," said Dave.

Observation Room*

"Did someone lose this?" said Duncan, bringing in Chef Hatchet.

"Nice work, buddy," said Idris.

"And look, Gwen and Dave are alone with the psycho," said Sammy.

"Not so fast! If Chef is here, then who's the psycho with Gwen and Dave?" asked Duncan.

"This is horrifying! There really was a psycho who escaped the asylum with a hook," said DJ.

The contestants rushed to warn Gwen and Dave.

"We're going to get a lot of viewers, but we're going to have a lot of lawsuits on our hands," said Chris.

In the Dining Hall*

"I know the actors don't talk and aren't paid much, but you could at least say a word," said Gwen.

"Don't talk at all, your breath stinks. I can recommend a good toothpaste," said Dave.

Confessional: Psycho Killer

He smelled his breath.

End of Confessional

"Maybe he wants a sandwich before he impales us," Gwen joked.

"This story is dragging on, so Chris needs to hurry up and finish this challenge," said Dave.

"We know you're an actor with a fake hook, and besides, you don't look that scary," said Gwen.

He took off his hook, revealing that he had no hand.

"That's horrifying, I think I'm going to throw up," said Dave.

"How did they do that?" asked Gwen.

The other contestants entered the dining hall.

"It's the psycho who escaped from the asylum with his hook," the campers confirmed.

"What?!" said Gwen and Dave.

Gwen landed several kicks to his face.

"Ouch. That really wasn't necessary. I'm out of here! I was treated better in prison," said the killer as he left.

DJ fainted, and Gwen and Dave high-fived each other.

Campfire*

"Obviously, we can say we have three winners: Dave, Duncan, and Gwen. Tonight, no votes, I'll choose who leaves," said Chris.

"Wait a minute. You didn't say that," said Scott.

"I've decided to eliminate..."

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

" *Dj. Sorry, but you got scared without Chef even needing to step in," said Chris.*

"Too bad for me, but at least I'll finally get to see my mom again," said Dj.

"Goodbye, Dj, you were a good guy," said Leshawna.

"Goodbye, big guy," said Duncan.

"Goodbye, Scott, thanks for being nice to me," said Dj.

Scott grabbed Dj's ear.

"I'm not your friend, I've been using you from the start," Scott whispered in Dj's ear.

"Wait, what?" said Dj.

"Come on, Dj, you have to leave. But we still love you," said Chris.

"Scott… Why?" said Dj.

Chef grabbed him and placed him in the boat for the losers.

Epilogue

We find Idris alone in the forest at night.

"Is someone there?" Idris called out.

But no one answered. A white light could be seen.

"What is that?" Idris said as he approached the light.

"SOON YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUTH," said the voice from the white light.

"What truth, and who's speaking to me?" Idris asked.

"SOON YOU WILL FIND THE WAY," said the voice.

"But what are you talking about?" Idris asked.

"SOON, SOON, SOON," the voice repeated.

Idris woke up trembling with fear.

"What was that, and who was speaking to me? It felt so real," said Idris.

End of Chapter 19

Author's Note :Hi everyone. I know this chapter took a while to come out; it's because I was on vacation and just got back. Not much has changed in the chapter, even the person eliminated stays the same. It's a pretty sad ending for him. But as you've seen, something is happening, though I won't say more.

Thoughts on Dj: Dj is a character I really like, and I don't understand why he wasn't in All Stars. Sure, he wasn't very interesting in World Tour, but he made a mark on the series.
