Total Drama Random Island
Chapter 20 : Wawanakwa Gone Wild!
"Last time on Total Drama Island. The contestants were alone on the island with a psychopathic killer who had escaped from prison and kills his victims with a chainsaw. There was a lot of screaming, moments of courage, logic, and stupidity. The views skyrocketed into the millions thanks to several actions from the contestants.
But it was a challenge set by me and Chef. Duncan was the only one who fought the killer and managed to win. However, it turns out there was a real killer on the island, who was unmasked by Dave and Gwen. In the end, Gwen, Dave, and Duncan earned immunity, and DJ, the gentle giant, was eliminated because he was too scared. Now there are only seven contestants left. Who will win, who will lose," said Chris before getting bitten by the beaver he was petting, "and who will get a rabies shot? You'll find out by watching this new episode of TOTAL DRAMA... ISLAND."
After the intro song, we find Idris giving Sammy a little nudge on the back.
"Here Sammy, some flowers as sweet as you," said Idris, handing her the flowers, making her blush.
"Thank you so much, Idris," Sammy said.
Confessional: Sammy
Everything is going really well with Idris. Our relationship has been through tough times, but we always make it through. I dread the moment when I'll have to vote against him, and I hope that never happens.
End Confessional
From afar, Dave can see them both.
"I hoped to experience that with Sky," said Dave.
"It's pretty cool, isn't it? Too bad that experience will never happen for you," said Scott, who was standing right next to him.
"What do you want, Scott?" Dave asked.
"Nothing. I just wanted to remind you that all the boys here have girlfriends except you. Bahahaha," said Scott.
"Laugh all you want, but you'll be the next to be eliminated," Dave said.
"Because you still trust Duncan? Guys like him are just manipulators who take advantage of others. What do you think he'll do when he doesn't need you anymore? You're just a pawn to him," Scott said.
"Like you're not manipulating anyone," Dave said sarcastically.
"It's different for me. I always admit it in the end," Scott replied.
"Stop talking nonsense, do you really think I'm going to believe you?" said Dave.
"I'm just trying to warn you, but you seem too naïve to see it," Scott said.
The couple kept walking until Idris was hoisted up by a rope.
"Idris? Where are you?" asked Sammy.
"Wasn't there a fake Latino next to you?" Gwen said.
"Just because I look Latino doesn't mean I'm fake. Now, could you help me?" said Idris.
A wooden cage fell on the six other campers.
"Hello dear campers, or should I say dear trappers?" said Chris.
"You should quit the jokes, they're not for you, Chris," said Duncan.
"Ready for today's challenge?" asked Chris.
"I could use some help, all the blood is rushing to my head," said Idris.
"Excellent! If everyone's ready, we'll discuss it over lunch," said Chris.
"I'm going to die soon," Idris said, just before a knife was thrown from a distance, cutting the rope and causing Idris to fall on the cage, opening the door.
Cafeteria
The campers were sitting, eating something white on their plates.
"This looks like modeling clay," said Gwen.
"Campers, there are only seven of you left on Total Drama Island. After tonight's ceremony, there will only be six. We're nearing the end."
Confessional: Duncan
My chances of winning are huge because anyone who doesn't vote for me will be dead. YOU WHO ARE ELIMINATED. YOU HEAR ME.
Confessional: Idris
I'm so happy to have made it this far. I've been through so much to get here. I think I have a chance to win with my team and my relationship. But I will have to choose between the two. The world is so cruel.
End Confessional
"Today's challenge is to do what our friends, the park rangers and game wardens, do. Each of you will have eight hours to trap an animal," said Chris.
"I caught a rat," said Duncan, grabbing Scott's hand.
"Let go of me, stupid punk," Scott said.
"A wild animal that you must bring back safe and sound to the campfire. The first to bring one back wins immunity and gets to eat their favorite food," said Chris.
"Is Chef going to cook it?" asked Leshawna.
"Is there a problem with my cooking?" Chef Hatchet said angrily.
"Absolutely nothing," said Leshawna, frightened by Chef's threats.
Confessional: Scott
I'm not safe. I'm the only one without an alliance, and Duncan is seriously going to ask those little dogs to vote against me. I need to get the girls to manipulate them or strike a deal with them.
End Confessional
We find the campers near the boathouse.
Chris had a hat with pieces of paper inside.
"Pick a paper," said Chris.
"Frog," said Leshawna.
"Duck," said Gwen.
"Raccoon," said Duncan.
"Beaver," said Dave.
"Squirrel," said Sammy.
"A deer... That sounds doable," said Idris.
"A... SHARK? You've got to be kidding me," said Scott.
"It's the only animal left for you," said Chris.
"They have to catch frogs and a duck, and I have to catch a shark with my bare hands?" said Scott.
"You have 60 seconds in the boathouse to find the gear that will help you. One last thing, if you don't catch your animal, you'll have to clean the communal toilets," Chris explained.
The contestants entered the boathouse. Everyone was looking for something that could help them.
"Hey Idris. Yesterday, you were shouting strange words in your sleep. Are you okay?" Dave asked.
"I had a really strange dream. I saw a white light telling me I was going to discover the truth," said Idris.
"It's just a dream, I suppose. It doesn't mean anything, a white light talking to you," said Dave.
"I know, but I can't help feeling like it was real, it felt so real," said Idris.
Scott was looking for bait, and in the bucket, he found something quite interesting.
"What is this?" Scott said, inspecting the object.
"This is the best thing that could have happened to me," said Scott. He took the bait and the object and left.
"Duck food. Cool," said Gwen.
"You're lucky, all I found was a butterfly net," said Leshawna.
"You could use it to catch your frog," said Gwen.
"Good idea, I'm off now," said Leshawna as she left.
Here's the translation into English:
Confessional: Leshawna
I'm really too strong; everything's in my favor to win. I'm the leader of an alliance, and the boys are at war with each other. Nothing can stop me from winning.
End Confessional
Duncan had found a hammer.
"Are you really going to catch a raccoon with a hammer?" asked Gwen.
"Chris didn't say it had to be alive," Duncan replied.
"Maybe, but you should leave that aside," Gwen said.
"You're right, this chainsaw will be better," said Duncan.
"I found some paper towels," said Dave.
"Not very useful for hunting, but very useful for wiping your butt," said Idris.
"I know, but imagine getting dirty while trying to catch the beaver. I don't want to take that risk," Dave replied.
"Maybe you'd like to use this burlap sack," Idris offered.
"Thanks, man, I'm off to hunt," said Dave as he left.
Confessional: Dave
I have a chance to win. I deserve it more than the others. I had to endure crazy stuff to get here. I've dealt with all the crazies on this island, eaten all of Chef's horrible food, and worst of all, I've had to live in a filthy camp. So yeah, I deserve it more than anyone.
End Confessional
"You only have ten seconds left," said Chris.
Duncan grabbed his chainsaw and left.
Sammy found a fishing net and left.
Idris found a tranquilizer gun and left.
Confessional: Sammy
Can I win? I hope so, but at least I can brag about going further than Amy.
End Confessional
"Is everyone ready?" asked Chris.
The campers responded positively.
"3... 2... 1... Go," said Chris, and the campers took off.
Gwen had placed some duck food in front of a duck and was hiding in the bushes.
"Come on, little duck," Gwen whispered as she placed more duck food.
The duck approached Gwen but saw the trap she had set and ran away.
"Since when can a duck run that fast?" said Gwen.
We then cut to Leshawna, who had spotted a frog and approached it with a bucket and butterfly net to catch it.
"This is going to be easy," said Leshawna.
She tried to walk toward the frog, but it jumped over a puddle. Leshawna tried to put the bucket over it but fell into the puddle.
"Yeah, you're going to pay for that, frog," Leshawna said angrily.
We then cut to Scott, who was at the Dock of Shame, trying to fish for sharks but with no luck.
"Come on, sharks, when I need you, you don't show up, but when it's time to eat me, you're there," said Scott.
He looked in his bait bucket and realized he was out of bait.
"Nothing's happening. Forget it, I'd rather clean the toilets than get eaten," said Scott as he left.
Next, we see Duncan, who had also spotted his target.
"Come with me, little raccoon, let's take a walk," said Duncan before hearing noises behind him.
It was an army of raccoons standing in front of him.
"So, that's how it's going to be. I didn't want to do this, but you're forcing me," said Duncan as he pulled out his chainsaw.
Faced with this threat, the raccoons formed into a massive mecha ready to fight Duncan.
"Normally, this only happens in movies," said Duncan.
Next, we see Idris, who had spotted a deer.
"I found you. You're not going to escape me," said Idris, preparing to shoot when suddenly, a sharp pain struck his head.
"MY HEAD! The pain is unbearable," said Idris, collapsing and hitting his head.
He woke up in a white space with doors to open.
"Where am I? Am I still dreaming?" said Idris.
He opened the first door and saw a little boy playing in his room.
"That's... That's me. I don't remember this room," said Idris.
Suddenly, the door slammed shut in Idris's vision.
"Wait, what's happening?" Idris said, trying to understand.
We then cut back to Gwen, who was chasing the duck when she suddenly bumped into Scott.
"Hey Scott, can you help me?" Gwen asked.
"Sure, I'm available," Scott replied.
"So, where should we start?" asked Gwen.
"It's simple. You try to lure it toward me while I wait with this net I found," said Scott.
Then, we cut to Duncan trying to escape from the raccoon mecha.
The mecha was launching raccoons like missiles, but Duncan managed to dodge them until one of them fell off a cliff.
"My back hurts," said Duncan, noticing a raccoon on his head.
"This isn't such a bad thing," said Duncan.
We then cut to Sammy, who was trying to catch her squirrel.
"Come on, squirrel, I've got something good for you," said Sammy as she watched the squirrel.
Sammy tried to approach the squirrel slowly, but it climbed up a tree.
"No, little squirrel, don't do this to me," said Sammy.
She bravely attempted to climb and managed to get closer to the squirrel.
"Now, if you follow me, I've made an effort to get here, all the more reason for you to let yourself be captured.
The squirrel didn't try to understand that it had bitten Sammy's face; on top of that, the branch Sammy was on had broken.
Then we find Idris still in the same spot, looking pale.
He opens another door and sees himself lying on the beach, unconscious.
'What was I doing there?' said Idris.
Just after making that remark, he sees Chris and Chief standing over his body.
'What is he doing here?' said Idris.
'Chief, we're dealing with the castaway,' explained Chris.
'We should take care of him and call the police,' said Chief.
'Agree to take care of him but don't call the police,' advised Chris.
'What did that maniac do to me?' said Idris before his vision was shattered once more.
'What's happening! What's happening once and for all?' said Idris.
He heard a familiar voice calling him.
'That's Dave's voice,' said Idris.
'Idris, Idris, Idris... Come on, wake up,' said Dave, a bit panicked.
Idris woke up.
'I thought you were dead,' said Dave.
'I thought I was dead too, but I saw incredibly strange things in my dream,' said Idris.
'Another dream, don't pay attention to it, sometimes our brain imagines things that don't make sense,' said Dave.
'I need to talk to Chris and Chief, but first, I need to catch a deer,' said Idris.
'Okay... I'm not sure I understand everything, but I'll go get my beaver,' said Dave.
Then we find Scott and Gwen ready for their plan.
'Alright, Gwen, tell me when you're ready,' said Scott, holding a fishing net.
'Ready,' said Gwen. She started chasing the duck toward Scott.
She tried to follow it, but it was very fast and managed to get a bit ahead of Gwen, but not enough to escape her.
As she chased the duck, Gwen started to tire and slow down, but just enough for Scott to catch the duck.
'Good job, Scott,' said Gwen.
'You're welcome. Now, go put your duck in a cage, I've got something else to do,' said Scott as he left.
Gwen arrived in front of the cage, and luckily for her, there were no other animals.
'Yes! I've earned the well-deserved dinner. I'll start with duck soup, roast duck, duck chocolate, and orange,' said Gwen, celebrating her victory.
'Open the cage, open the cage,' said Duncan, who arrived with a raccoon on his head.
He took the raccoon off his head and put it in the cage.
'You're not so clever now,' said Duncan.
'Too bad for you, I beat you by a few seconds,' said Gwen.
'Damn, damn,' said Duncan.
'Where's Chris, I want my dinner,' said Gwen.
'Gwen won immunity, but the challenge isn't over yet, remember, the last one cleans the toilets,' said Chris over the microphone.
Then it's Scott's turn, who just found Leshawna, who failed to catch the frog.
Confessional: Scott
This may be my last chance to save myself from elimination.
End of Confessional
'Stop moving, stupid frog,' said Leshawna.
'Need help maybe?' said Scott.
'I wouldn't say no to a little help. Get that damn frog,' said Leshawna.
'You're doing it wrong, put your bucket in the frog's path,' said Scott.
'Not a bad idea, let's try your idea,' said Leshawna.
Scott put the bucket in the frog's path, and the frog fell into it.
'Great, now use your butterfly net to catch it,' said Scott.
'Thanks, Scott, you're nicer than I thought,' said Leshawna as she left.
'I know, HAHAHA... I really need to stop being like Max,' said Scott as he walked off to his next destination.
Later, we found Dave, who had found a beaver dam.
'Where did I put my bag? No other choice but to go straight into the dam,' said Dave as he entered the water.
'I hate getting my clothes wet,' said Dave as he entered the dam.
He saw that it was set up like a human house.
'I think this is the strangest thing I've seen since the start of the game,' said Dave.
'Maybe Shawn was right, maybe the beavers are having a birthday party,' said Dave.
Dave was hit by a beaver's tail.
'Did you just slap me?' said Dave.
He was repeatedly slapped by the beavers, and you could hear him crying out in pain.
Next, we find Sammy still trying to bond with a squirrel.
'Come on, squirrel, make an effort and get into the bag,' said Sammy.
'That's not how you catch an animal,' said Scott.
'What are you doing here, Scott,' said Sammy.
'Helping others catch their animals,' said Scott.
'Why would you want to help us?' said Sammy.
'I have my reasons, so do you want me to help you?' said Scott.
'Alright... I do, but I don't think I trust you,' said Sammy.
'Cool. If you want to catch it, you have to lure it with food it likes, like this nut I found by chance,' said Scott.
Confessional: Scott
There's no chance, I totally set this up.
End of Confessional
He put the nuts in the bag, and they waited.
Then we find Idris still searching for a deer.
'Where's the deer I saw earlier,' said Idris. He turned his head and saw the deer.
'Sometimes, you just have to ask,' said Idris.
He stood in the bushes and began to aim.
'Focus, no pressure, no headache, everything's fine,' said Idris.
He fired, but he missed.
'Why am I so clumsy?' said Idris.
The deer noticed Idris and started running toward him.
'Uh... I don't think I should stay here,' said Idris as he ran.
He tried to shoot while running, but his aim was terrible. He hit a passing plane.
'Sorry,' said Idris.
He looked at his magazine and saw he only had one tranquilizer arrow left. He stopped and looked at the deer with a stern face as it ran toward him.
'Alright... it's you and me now,' said Idris. The weapon was perfectly positioned, he took a deep breath and fired, hitting the deer.
'Sleep tight, big deer,' said Idris before the deer got back up, furious.
'What! What good are these arrows if they don't put you to sleep?' said Idris.
He stood in front of the deer before it fully got up, and he climbed onto the deer's back.
'Alright, now I have no idea what I'm doing,' said Idris.
Then we find Dave returning to get revenge on the beavers.
'It's simple, if you don't want to come, then I'll take your house with me,' said Dave.
He lifted a small part of the dam.
'Wow, nice muscles I've developed,' said Dave.
Then we see Gwen in front of a table with a delicious dish before her.
'It's so beautiful, I could hardly believe it,' said Gwen.
'Open the cage,' said Leshawna.
Leshawna put the frog in the cage.
'I told you you'd regret it,' said Leshawna.
'Good job, Leshawna,' said Chris.
'You're lucky to get a good dinner,' said Leshawna.
'Yeah, I nailed this one,' said Gwen.
'I'm going to take a shower, enjoy,' said Leshawna.
Next, we find Sammy and Scott, who had just caught the squirrel.
'Thanks, Scott, but I still don't trust you,' said Sammy.
'I don't need your trust to help someone,' said Scott.
'And you, why don't you catch your pet?' said Sammy.
'Catching a shark is almost certain death,' said Scott.
'Not wrong, but you'll have to clean the toilets,' said Sammy.
'I'd rather do that than die,' said Scott.
'Open the cage,' said Scott.
Sammy put the squirrel in the cage.
'Leave the cage open,' said Dave, carrying the beaver dam.
He put the beavers in the cage.
'That'll teach you to slap me,' said Dave.
'Only one spot left for the victory, so Scott and Idris are hurrying,' said Chris.
'Do you hear that noise?' said Duncan.
'Yeah, but what is it?' said Sammy.
It's Idris, arriving rodeo-style on a deer.
'Open the cage,' said Idris, racing toward them.
The deer threw Idris and then started destroying everything.
'Run!' said Dave.
It broke the cage and Gwen's table.
'My delicious meal!' said Gwen.
The Chief had to intervene with a working tranquilizer dart.
'Well... Since Scott is the only one who didn't catch his animal, he'll be cleaning the toilets tonight after the votes,' said Chris.
Before the marshmallow ceremony, Idris went to see Chris.
'Chris, can I talk to you?' said Idris.
'What do you want?' said Chris.
'Did you ever find me unconscious on an island?' said Idris.
Chris's face changed, taking on a serious tone.
'I don't know what you're talking about, and I don't want to hear any more of this stupid story,' said Chris.
'Okay... Sorry for bothering you,' said Idris.
Here's the full translation of the text into English:
"How did he remember that? Chef, we have a problem," said Chris.
"What's going on, Chris?" said Chef.
"Idris is starting to remember, and that's not a good thing," said Chris.
"There's nothing to worry about as long as he doesn't remember what we did to him and then how we found him unconscious on the island."
"But if he does remember, we'll have to redo what we did," said Chris.
"No, Chris, we did something wrong. It's illegal, and I refuse to do it again," said Chef.
"I'm not asking you to do it with me, just do me a small favor," said Chris.
"What am I supposed to do?" said Chef.
"If Idris gets eliminated, don't take him to the Playa Des Losers, take him to my office. I need to make sure this doesn't happen again," said Chris.
"You're the boss, but don't do anything too dangerous, or I'll have to step in," said Chef.
Then, we find Scott outside the girls' cabin.
"Scott, what do you want?" Gwen said, opening the door.
"I came to talk about your debt," said Scott.
"What debt?" said Leshawna.
"I helped you with the challenge, now you all owe me," said Scott.
"I was right not to trust you," said Sammy.
"And what exactly do we owe you?" said Leshawna.
"Vote against Idris," said Scott.
"What! I'd never do that," said Sammy.
"You don't really have a choice; a debt is a debt," said Scott as he walked away.
"He's right, we have to do it. He beat us," said Leshawna.
"Yeah, how could I trust him?" said Gwen.
"So you're going to vote against Idris?" said Sammy.
"We don't have a choice, plus this moment was bound to come," said Leshawna.
"I... I don't want to," said Sammy.
Confessional: Scott
Why did I decide to eliminate Idris? He's a threat, not because of his skills—he's pretty clumsy—but because of his alliances and relationships, which could be dangerous.
End of Confessional
Then we find the boys in their cabin.
"Well, guys, today's the day Scott leaves the island," said Duncan.
"Yeah, I've been looking forward to this day," said Dave.
"Yeah, it's cool," said Idris, sounding a little down.
"Are you okay? You seem a bit depressed," said Dave.
"Yeah, I just didn't get the answers I wanted," said Idris.
"Chris didn't answer you?" said Dave.
"Yeah, he told me I was talking nonsense," said Idris.
"What are you talking about?" said Duncan.
"It's a long story, but to keep it short, I've had strange dreams, and they felt too real to be fake. So I asked for answers, but he wouldn't give them to me," said Idris.
"That proves I'm right; they're just weird dreams," said Dave.
"Yeah, maybe," said Idris.
"They're just dreams, everyone has them. Nightmares. Especially me—very dark nightmares," said Duncan.
"Yeah, but part of me feels like it's all true," said Idris.
"Don't let it get in your head. A white light telling you you'll regain your memory and find the way? That's completely illogical and stupid," said Dave.
That night
The campers were waiting for the votes.
"Dear camper, you know the words by now, so let's begin...
"Sammy"
"Dave"
"Duncan"
"Leshawna"
"Gwen"
"Idris, Scott, only one marshmallow is left. The one who doesn't get it will have to pack their bags, go to the Dock of Shame, and take the Boat of Losers. Idris, you might be leaving because you destroyed everything, and Scott, you're alone, so no protection. The final marshmallow goes to...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
"Idris."
"Scott, pack your bag, you're out," said Chris.
"I'm not going anywhere," said Scott.
"Actually, yes, you are," said Chris.
"No, because I found the Chris McLean Invincibility Statue," said Scott.
"What kind of statue is that?" said Duncan.
"A statue hidden on the island since the beginning," explained Chris.
"Why didn't you tell us about it?" said Leshawna.
"To add a little action to the game," said Chris.
"So, what happens now?" said Sammy.
"Since Scott can't be eliminated, the person with the most votes is eliminated. So, Idris, you're out," said Chris.
"What! NOOOO!" said Idris.
"Wow, I'm going to miss you, buddy," said Dave.
"Goodbye, partner, you were a good ally," said Duncan.
"Goodbye, everyone," said Idris as he headed to the Dock of Shame.
"Wait, Idris!" said Sammy.
"Sammy?" said Idris.
She jumped into his arms.
"I'm going to miss you, but we'll see each other again," said Sammy.
"Of course, sweetheart. Our story isn't over yet," said Idris.
"If it reassures you, I didn't vote against you," said Sammy.
"Thanks, sweetheart. Give me one last kiss," said Idris, kissing Sammy.
The Boat of Losers took Idris away.
Epilogue
Idris was on the Boat of Losers.
"Where are you taking me?" said Idris, getting no response.
"Chef? Chef, can you answer my question?" said Idris.
"To a place where you'll be well-treated," said Chef.
"You mean that hotel we see in the distance?" said Idris.
"No, to a much nicer place," said Chef.
"Okay, I can't wait to see that. By the way, weren't you with Chris when he found me on that island?" said Idris, getting no response.
"This story is starting to annoy me. Answer me, damn it," said Idris.
"I'm sorry, kid, I didn't want to do this," said Chef, spraying something on Idris.
"What did you do to me?" said Idris before passing out.
End of Chapter 20
Author's note: This is the end of Chapter 20. You didn't have to wait too long for this one; I'm getting better. I know Idris' elimination will surprise you, but he had to leave because it's better for the story. You won't hear my opinion on the character because he doesn't exist, but you can imagine I like him. He's the first character I created, and I even gave him my name. The revelations aren't over yet—there's still *Total Drama Action* and *Total Drama World Tour,* and I already have ideas for him."
