(AN: Yeah, this is still A Rider's Legacy but renamed to something else. I recently found another story with a very similar name and out of respect for the writer, I will change it. He didn't contact me or anything but I don't want overshadow other's)
After the cavalry battle, Todoroki took Kazuhiro to the side to talk to him during the start of the lunch break. Todoroki gave him a cold, silent stare for a few seconds while Kazuhiro looked confused.
"So, why did you pull me over?" Kazuhiro asked.
"During that last part of the match, I was overwhelmed and it made me break a promise I made to myself a long time ago," Todoroki answered.
"You're talking about using your left side, right?"
Todoroki nodded. He said, "At that moment, I had no idea what kind of trick you would've pulled when you were in that form. While everyone else in my team remained calm and collected, I was the one who reacted recklessly out of desperation. In a sense, I caught a glimpse of your true potential."
"I see," Kazuhiro replied. "Is that all you that you wanted to say to me?"
"Do you know about Quirk marriages?" Todoroki asked.
"Quirk marriages? Can't say I'm familiar with them," Kazuhiro admitted.
"They're a form of arranged marriages where two partners attempt to create a powerful that has either both of their Quirks or a combination of the two," Todoroki explained. "I am a child of such marriage."
"So you're whole ice and fire Quirks come from your parents?"
"Yeah," Todoroki nodded with annoyance in his eyes. "My father is the second highest-rated hero in the country: Endeavor. Since he was below All Might, he tried his best to surpass him in every possible. It got to the point where he got desperate and used his influence and wealth to get my mother's relative to sell her hand in marriage. He's using me as a tool to surpass."
Kazuhiro silently gasped. He didn't expect to hear such severity from Todoroki's situation. Kazuhiro heard that Endeavor was an intimidating and harsh man, but he didn't know how much of a jerk he was behind closed doors.
"It's annoying. I refuse to be a tool for that scumbag," Todoroki said. "All my memories of my mother were of her crying. One day, she told me that my left side was unsightly and poured boiling water on my face."
Todoroki rubbed the scar of his eye. He looked at Kazuhiro and said, "The reason why I challenged Midoriya before the festival began was because I saw the connection between him and All Might. Because of that connection, I wanted to surpass him by only using my right side but I see now that I was wrong."
Todoroki glared at Kazuhiro while the Kamen Rider silently gasped.
"I can see that you're my true opponent in the festival, not Midoriya," Todoroki declared. "You embrace all sides of your powers, whether using your normal form or the ones we haven't seen. I'll beat you with just using my right to show my old man that I don't need his strength. If we ever come across to challenge each other in the tournament, no matter how many forms you change, I will not let myself use my left side. I'm not going to give the bastard the satisfaction of seeing me use my flames.."
Todoroki turned and walked away. He said, "I don't know why you didn't grab all of our headbands when you got a chance. However, you'll regret it. I will beat you with my right side."
"You're doing yourself no favors by just using your right side," Kazuhiro said. "I'm going to beat you because embrace the hand that's been given to me."
Kazuhiro summoned five Kamen Ride cards in his hand. He said, "Don't think I'm intimated because you challenged me directly. I'll throw everything I have at the match and I know I'll beat you because I'm going to give it my all during the final round."
After lunch, Kazuhiro and the others gathered at the stadium.
"Get those foam fingers in the air because it's the last round of the day!" Present Mic announced. "But before that, we have good news for those that didn't make it to the finals! We have set up several recreational games! This is a sports festival, after all, so have some fun! For the sixteen students that are moving on, they're going to go on to a one-on-one fighting tournament!"
Midnight stood on stage with a box labeled lots. "Come closer and draw lots to see who you are up against. After that, you can enjoy yourselves at some recreational games. The sixteen moving on can choose whether or not they can participate in these games or not. It's up to you if you want to choose the time to rest!"
As Midnight approached the first-place team, Ojiro raised his hand. He said, "Excuse me but I would like to withdraw from the competition."
"Are you serious?" Kazuhiro asked.
"This is the rare chance for you to get scouted!" Iida pointed out.
"I'm sorry, but I can barely remember anything from the cavalry battle until the very end of it," Ojiro said. "I think it was that guy's Quirk."
Kazuhiro and the others turned to Shinso, the boy with the purple hair. Ojiro said, "I know this is a great opportunity but I can't move on in good faith."
"Think about this, Ojiro," Izuku said.
"I did alright. Everyone gave it their all in the second round, and I can't even remember what I did. I was just someone's puppet. I don't want to advance, it doesn't feel right," Ojiro explained.
"Come on, you're making such a big deal! Just participate in the tournament and prove to yourself that you belong there!" Hagakure shouted.
"Yeah, do what Hagakure said. I didn't do much in the second round either," Ashido said.
"That's not the point, I'm talking about my pride here. I refuse to sacrifice it this way," Ojiro said. "Also, why are the girls dressed as cheerleaders?"
Kazuhiro didn't question when he saw the girls dressed up like cheerleaders. However, when it was pointed out they all looked embarrassed.
"Neringeki Shoda from Class 1-B," another boy stepped forward. He was shorter and more rounded than the others. "I want to withdraw for the same reasons. This is not how I wanted to get here. It hurts the values of the festival of being a fair competition."
Kirishima began to tear up at the sight of their chivalry. Kirishima spoke, "Look at these guys, so manly!"
"This sort of talk is incredibly naive my boys, but it turns me on!" Midnight shouted.
"Huh?" Kazuhiro tilted his head.
"Shoda! Ojiro! You are withdrawn!" Midnight announced with a blush on her face. "Let's see, we're going to have members from the fifth-place team."
The team that was in fifth place was Team Kendo, the girl with the ponytail.
"Honestly, we didn't do anything in the cavalry battle. We were frozen for the most part. Isn't that right?" Kendo asked. Her teammates nodded. "You should give it to the team that fought the entire time, Team Tetsutetsu."
"Kendo?!" the silver-haired boy, now identified as Tetstutetsu, shouted.
"I'm not doing this a favor. It's only fair," Kendo smiled.d
"Thanks, you guys!" Tetsutetsu shouted.
After a few minutes, Tetsutetsu and his team decided who was going to move on. Tetsutesu and a girl with vine hair watched as their teammates left the arena.
"Tetsutetsu and Shiozaki will be moving on to the final round!" Midnight announced. She turned her attention to the board. "These will be the bracket for the tournament! Pay close attention to who your opponent is!" Midnight shouted.
Kazuhiro looked up to see that he was going to go up against Iida in the fourth match of the competition. During the recreational games, Kazuhiro decided to rest in the clinic of the stadium and lie down. There was a TV to watch the tournament as it went on. Using Kabuto's Clock Up drained a lot of stamina, and why he got most of it back from their lunch break, Kazuhiro thought resting up as much as possible was still needed.
Cementoss created a stage in the stadium for the contestants to fight on. Now that the arena had been set up, it was time for the final round to begin. Kazuhiro joined the rest of his class in their sectioned-off area.
"Listen up, everyone! Let's cut to the good stuff and start the finals!" Present Mic announced. "Here are our first fighters!"
A project of Shinso and Izuku appeared on the screen.
"Even though he's been killing this entire festival, it looks like he's still a bit nervous! From Class 1-A, Izuku Midoriya!" Present Mic proclaimed. "And from general studies, the unexpected underdog, Hitoshi Shinso!"
Izuku and Shinso walked out of the gates at opposite ends of the stadium. Present Mic explained the rules. He said, "The rules are simple! Knock out your opponent out of the ring or immobilize them! You can also cry Uncle if you want to tap out early! There's no holding back! Bring out everything you have! However, no life-threatening crap!"
Cementoss formed a chair before sitting down on it. He said, "I will make sure no one goes too far."
Kazuhiro and the others watched from afar. Shinso seemed to be talking to Izuku before the match began.
"Ready, begin!" Present Mic shouted.
Kazuhiro saw Izuku approach Shinso before stopping abruptly. Ojiro screamed, "I warned him not to say anything!"
"What's the deal? The match began and Midoriya is completely frozen!" Present Mic commentated.
"Do you know something about his Quirk?" Kazuhiro asked.
"It's some kind of brainwashing Quirk. Talking to him makes you trapped under his spell," Ojiro explained.
"Seriously? That's a pretty powerful Quirk!" Hagakure exclaimed.
"How is supposed to overcome something like that?" Iida asked.
"Usually some kind of physical shock will get you out of his control. During the cavalry battle, I answered a question of his and was immediately under his influence. It wasn't until I bumped into someone I was myself," Ojiro explained. He looked at Izuku with worry in his eyes. "I'm not sure how Izuku can break free without relying on outside forces."
The class watched as Izuku walked towards the edge of the arena. Kazuhiro commented, "Dammit. After all that hard work, he's just going to be eliminated just like that."
As Izuku got close to the edge, a blast of wind erupted around Izuku. Kazuhiro and the others either stood up from their seats or leaned forward.
"What a twist! Midoriya stopped right in time!" Present Mic shouted.
"He did it!" Iida cried out.
"I was worried for a second," Uraraka said. Kazuhiro noticed that Izuku broke his fingers, which was strong enough to get him out of Shinso's brainwashing.
Izuku covered his mouth to prevent himself from speaking again. He charged toward Shinso and tried to smack-talk him to get a verbal reaction. Izuku remained quiet, as a trick like that wouldn't fool him. He latched onto Shinso and tried to push him out of bounds. The brainwasher punched Izuku in the face, but it didn't do much.
Out of desperation, Shinso punched Izuku on his broken fingers. Izuku lost his grip and Shinso tried to push him out but Izuku was an experienced fighter. He grabbed Shinso by the arm and lifted him before slamming him out of bounds.
Midnight raised her arms and announced, "Shinso is out of bounds! He will move on to the next match!"
Todoroki walked down through the hallways of the stadium as his match was up next. There, Endeavor stood waiting for him.
"What do you want?" Todoroki asked harshly.
"You're acting disgracefully, Shoto," Endeavor spoke. Todoroki remained silent before continuing to walk down the hallway. "If you used your left side, you would've easily dominated the first two games. It's time to stop this childish rebellion. You have your duty to surpass that imbecile All Might. You are my greatest masterpiece."
"Is that all you have to say, you bastard?" Todoroki spoke angrily. "I'll win this using only Mom's Quirk."
"Even if it works out for you in this tournament, you'll soon learn about the limits of that power," Endeavor said.
"It's time to move on to the next match of this bracket!" Present Mic proclaimed. "He managed to hold himself throughout the entire festival but can his tape keep him together? It's Class 1-A's Hanta Sero!"
"Come on, why did you have to say it like that?" Sero asked, trying to keep a calm smile. Standing on the opposite end of the arena was Todoroki.
"Versus! The boy who got into the school through recommendations! A kid who is too strong for his own good! From Class 1-A, Shoto Todoroki!" Present Mic shouted. "Ready… Start!"
"Man, I don't feel like I can win but…" Sero quickly fired his tape at Todoroki, wrapping him up. "I don't feel like losing either!"
Sero tried to spin Todoroki out of the arena.
"Apologies," Todoroki spoke up. He used his Quirk through his feet and froze the ground in front of him, quickly catching up to Sero. Once it got under Sero it shot up like a massive explosion. That eruption created a huge mountain of ice with Sero trapped in it at the bottom. This mountain barely missed everyone, including his mountain, and stuck out of the stadium.
"Don't you think… you went overboard?" Sero asked in a numbed voice.
Midnight, who was half frozen, asked, "Tell the truth, Sero. Can you move?"
"Are you kidding? I can't even feel my fingers."
"Sero has been immobilized! Todoroki advances to the next round!"
The Pro Heroes were in shock to see Todoroki's display of power. However, a few people felt bad for Sero for going up against an opponent that severely outclasses him.
"Nice try…" a meek hero spoke. Another hero overheard him and shouted his message.
"Nice try!"
The crowd began to shout out "Nice try!" in an attempt to make Sero feel better. Kazuhiro's mouth was agape. He knew that Todoroki would take the declaration seriously. However going this far, displaying this much power was a a sign of weakness. To him, it felt like it was Todoorki manifesting his insecurities about his Quirk and doing everything he could to compensate just using the right side.
The next match was between Kaminari and a girl from Class 1-B named Shiozaki. Since Kazuhiro was up next, he needed to wait in the designated room for match participants. As he walked down the stairs, he ran into Iida.
"There you are, Kimura, I wanted to talk to you before our match starts," Iida spoke.
"What is it that you wanted to talk about?" Kazuhiro asked.
"It's about what happened during the cavalry battle. That form you used, the one with the beetle horn, allowed you to go super-fast, right?"
"Uh, yeah. Kabuto has access to an Attack Ride card that allows me to be significantly faster but as you can see, my body isn't trained for it."
"I don't know how much time has passed from your perception during that small duration of time, but I'm assuming you had enough time to look through Todoroki's headbands and picked the one that had the 10 million points."
"Yeah, I did," Kazuhiro said.
"Why didn't you just take all of the headbands for yourselves?"
"My objective was to get our original headband. Everything else was yours to claim since you've earned it," Kazuhiro said.
"I see. In a way, you showed mercy," Iida said.
I guess in a way, yeah."
"I know it isn't but it's hard to now think it like that. You have to remember that this is a competition. I expect you to do everything to defeat us, even if it means taking all the glory for yourself," Iida said. "So I request that you go all out during our match."
Kazuhiro smirked, "Don't worry. I won't hold back."
Iida smiled and nodded.
The round ended as it began. Kaminari tried to go all out with his Quirk but Shiozaki's vines managed to defend her from it. It left Kaminari dumb and open for capture. Iida and Kazuhiro stood in the arena.
"Alright folks, let's keep the matches pumping! He's going to keep on running with those engines in his legs! From Class 1-A, Tenya Iida!" Present Mic shouted. The crowd cheered on for Iida. "He's going up against the Transformation Sensation of Class 1-A, Kazuhiro Kimura!"
It was hard for the audience to not have their eyes on Kazuhiro. Throughout the festival, he transformed into four different Kamen Riders, sticking out of a crowd like the moon at night.
Outside of the stadium, Pro Heroes Mt. Lady and Kamui Woods were standing guard.
"Oh, hey, it's that kid who transforms," Mt. Lady pointed out. Kamui Woods turned around and looked at the big screen.
"Hm, he's becoming quite a popular contestant," Mt. Lady said.
"How can he not? His flashy costumes make him a lot more memorable than the entire hero course of this school," Mt. Lady said.
"I hate to admit it but you're right. Not to downplay the other students, but it's hard to compare the other students to what he can do."
"Well, maybe except Endeavor's kid."
"Fair point, but that's to be expected from the No. 2's son. This kid has a lot going for him, I wonder what his backstory is," Kamui Woods as he crossed his arms, interested in this match.
"Alright, ladies and gentlemen, let's get on with the match! Start!" Present Mic shouted. Once the match started, Iida stood still waiting for Kazuhiro's move.
"What, not going to attack me right away?" Kazuhiro asked.
"No, I want to fight you with everything I have and I can't do that if you're outside of your transformation. I want to see what kind of form you'll use against me," Iida said.
"What a twist! It seems that Iida is giving Kazuhiro a chance to transform!"
"Alright," Kazuhiro said as he summoned a Kamen Ride card. He inserts it into the Decadriver.
[Kamen Ride: Drive]
"Transform!" Kazuhiro shouted.
Kazuhiro transformed into Kamen Rider Drive. His armor materialized over his body, slamming into it. Drive wore a black undersuit with a white stripe on the side of his body. He had red gauntlets and boots with silver kneepads. He was also equipped with an accessory called the Shift Brace. It's a wrist accessory with a red car with a white stripe acting as its lever. The back was turned around to act as a handle.
The helmet of Kamen Rider was designed to be like a car. The chestpiece had a red stripe that divided it. The Kamen Rider's helmet had a white stripe going down the middle. His visor resembled that of car headlights and had a car spoiler on the back of his helmet.
[Drive: Type Speed]
A tire materialized out of nowhere and flew into Drive's chest sideways. It had a red line going on its front. The word "Type Speed' was printed on two tire sections.
In the bleachers, Kazuhiro's and Iida's classmates spectate the fight. Izuku wrote down in his notebook about Kazuhiro's new form.
"It's incredible how many different forms he has. During training, he has used a small handful of forms but today he's showing new ones we've never seen before," Izuku muttered quickly. He was analyzing Kamen Rider Drive. "It's like he's holding back."
Todoroki stared observantly at Drive. He thought, "He's been holding back in training. The Sports Festival is when we see him cut loose and use everything he has."
"The form he picked reflects Iida's Quirk," Izuku noted.
"Not a very subtle choice," Iida said as he noted Drive's appearance. The Kamen Rider got into a stance to prepare to run. Iida lowered his body to get ready to run.
"Maybe, but this will be one hell of a ride!" Drive proclaimed. He bolted towards Iida.
Drive ran at a normal sprinting speed, something Iida could easily outrun. The class rep didn't run straight toward the Kamen Rider and instead circled him. Drive tried his best to keep track of Iida. He kept turning, anticipating an attack from any direction. Iida leapt towards Drive once he saw his back however the Kamen Rider was quick enough to spin around and block Iida's kick.
The crowd roared as this match looked like it might be even. Iida knew deep down he couldn't outshine someone like him but not trying would mean not being able to grow. If anything, he was determined to make Kazuhiro work for his victory. As Iida landed, Drive pulled on the Shift Brace three times.
[Sp-Sp-Speed!]
Drive quickly ran before turning his body sideways as he slid on the ground. He tried to do a low sweep at Iida's leg. The class representative saw it coming and jumped over Drive. The Kamen Rider quickly got up before turning around and materializing the Door-Ju, Drive's sidearm pistol. It was a normal pistol with a red car door attached to its left side. Drive shot straight at Iida, who dodged by running from around the Kamen Rider.
The crowd cheered as Iida ram circles to dodge Drive's shots. Present Mic shouted into the speaker, "This high-octane match looks like it could be anyone's game!"
Once the Door-Ju made a clicking noise, Iida took the opening to attack Drive. He managed to Drive, knocking the Door-Ju out of his hand and sending him back. Drive quickly stood back up and summoned an AttackRide card.
[AttackRide: Midnight Shadow]
A large purple shuriken materialized in the air and flew right into Drive's chest, popping the tire around it. Iida stepped to the side as the tire flew past before it disappeared. He looked forward and saw a purple shuriken appear on Drive's hand before he tossed it at him. The class rep used his Quirk to sprint towards Drive at high speed. Iida was trying to fight carefully. He isn't aware of Drive's upper limits.
Iida dodged shurikens before leaping into the air. Drive created two shurikens in his hand before tossing them at Iida. Iida boosted his kicking power using his Quirk and swatted the shurikens away. He used the momentum to spin around once more, adding more power to it. Drive was stunned in awe for a second, dropping his guard for a second. That allowed Iida to kick him on the side. Drive quickly pulled on the lever of the Shift Brace as he got up. Iida didn't want Drive to have a chance and rushed into close distance.
[Sh-Sh-Shadow!]
Suddenly, clones of Drive began to circle Iida. He abruptly halted, turning his head and scanning for any surprise attack. At the same time, the clones began throwing shurikens at Iida. He dodged and kicked away the shurikens. He noticed that one Drive clone was standing still and leaped to attack him. However, as he kicked him, it disappeared.
The real Drive was right next to him. The Midnight Shadow tire disappeared and was replaced with the normal tire he dons. Drive summoned Handle-Ken, his primary weapon. It was a sword with a handle attached to it. When Iida realized that Drive was right next to him, the Kamen Rider began swinging his sword. Iida evaded Drive's attack.
When Drive thrusted his sword at him, he managed to narrowly dodge the attack. Iida used his engines to boost his kicking power and speed, swiftly flipping back and using both of his legs to kick Drive in the chin. Seeing Drive falling, Iida quickly leaped and kicked him. Drive crashed down onto the ground and narrowly avoided being out of bounds.
"So close! Kimura is barely an inch out of bounds!" Present Mic shouted. Drive got up, rubbing his chin.
Back at the spectator seats, Izuku jotted down anything he could learn from this match. A few of their classmates were on the edge of their seats.
"Why is Iida just standing there?! He's right there at the edge!" Ashido exclaimed.
"That's why he's being careful. Kimura is a tricky fighter," Tokoyami explained.
"If Iida rushed in at him right now, Kimura could turn the tide in a heartbeat," Yaoyorozu added.
"Yeah, but standing still isn't doing him any favors," Jirou said.
Back at the arena, Drive summoned a FormRide card and inserted it inside the Decadriver.
[FormRide]
Drive quickly pushed the buckle together.
[Type: Dead Heat]
Red lighting crackled around Drive's body as steam evaporated from his body. Iida stepped back, maintaining a safe distance from the Kamen Rider. The Type: Speed tire dematerialized A line of tire material appeared on his right shoulder and the rest of his body had white armor pieces. These armor pieces then attach themselves on Drive. All armor pieces except for the chest were replaced with white places surrounding the body. The tire on Drive's shoulder slammed into place, revealing a thermometer in place of the wheel.
As for the chest-mounted tire, it replaced that of Type: Speed. The tire had a white stripe going around it with a red line in the middle. The helmet looked like it had a large red chin strap that wrapped around its head and formed a spoiler on the top. The back of the helmet had a blue visor.
"Looks like Kimura is so heated that he's steaming!" Present Mic roared.
Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady continued to spectate the match through a jumbo TV on the side of the stadium.
"He transformed again," Kamui Woods said.
"Jeez, just how many times can he do that?" Mt. Lady questioned.
Endeavor watched Drive's transformation in Type: Dead Heat. In his eyes, there was a clear victor in this match. As for Todoroki himself, he narrowed his eyes at the arena. Whoever wins this match will face off against Todoroki in the next bracket. To him, Kazuhiro was the obvious winner. Iida's strength is pale in comparison to Kazuhiro. The Kamen Rider was proving himself to be a formidable opponent. Just as he declared earlier, Kazuhiro is giving it all during the final round.
Iida remained distant from Drive as he slowly moved away from the border of the arena. The scariest thing about fighting him was that each new transformation was uncharted territory. The only way to effectively fight Kazuhiro and his many different forms is to anticipate anything and let him react first. This strategy is on the luck that whatever move Drive pulls, he'd be able to react to it quickly enough.
"Tensions are high folks! Both contestants are on edge! Who will strike first?!" Present Mic shouted.
In a short burst of speed, Drive instantly closed in on the distance between him and Iida. He threw a punch at Iida but he managed to move back. It was dodged so close that he saw Drive's fist swinging in front of his face. Once Iida regained his footing, he used his Engines to empower a kick with his right leg. Drive countered by kicking back. Their legs slammed into each other but Iida clenched his teeth as his legs were unprotected unlike Drive, whose suit at least absorbed some of the blow.
Their brief clash sent the two of them back. Iida lost his cool for a moment and used his Quirk to tackle Drive. However, in a quick short burst of speed, he dodged the attack. The two of them locked eyes with each other before they both charged into each other. They blitz through each other, both each other in the chest at the same time.
Drive lost his balance and fell to the ground, same as Iida. The Kamen Rider was already starting to feel drained from pushing himself with such speed. Combined with the extreme heat that this form produces along with no proper ventilation or cooling, it wasn't the perfect condition to fight in. Drive didn't care as he was going to keep pushing himself until either he passes out or he wins.
"He isn't going to slow down. I'm going to need to go all out!" Drive thought. Since he figured out that he was close to his last legs, the Kamen Rider summoned a Final AttackRide card and inserted it into his belt.
[Final AttackRide: Dr-Dr-Dr-Drive!]
Drive's body began to heat up, producing much steam.
[Full Throttle! Dead Heat!]
Iida realized that Drive had pulled out the card that activated his finishing move. He got into a sprinting stance and said, "Recipro…"
Drive immediately dashed towards IIda.
"Burst!" Iida shouted as he activated his Quirk's upper limit
Both Iida and Drive clashed, exchanging a kick and a punch respectively. The two of them quickly regained their foot and turned around before running into each other again. They continuously clashed, using their speed to run into each other and striking each other as they ran into each other.
Their classmates widened as they leaned in towards the edge of the balcony. Uraraka commented, "It looks like they're going all out!"
"Oh, man! This is intense!" Kirishima shouted as he clenched his fist.
As Iida reached the end of the Recipro Burst's time limit, he took one last look at Drive and narrowed his eyes. He ran towards him with everything he got. Drive also returned the favor and jumped into the air to perform a Rider Kick. Drive's extended leg forward landed first and sent Iida lying. He slammed onto the ground before sliding out of bounds. Drive landed before transforming back into Decade.
"Iida is out of bounds! Kimura is moving on to the next round!" Midnight declared before the crowd cheered on.
Iida groaned as he looked up at Decade. He knew that winning against Decade was going to be an uphill battle but the fact that he managed to get him off guard several times made him proud. While he couldn't live up to his brother's expectations, he made it further than most people in the hero course.
Decade transformed out of costume and fell onto his knees. Iida quickly ran up to him, limping towards him. Midnight also ran towards Kazuhiro to check up on him.
"Kimura!" Iida cried out of concerned
"Are you alright? Can you stand?" Midnight asked.
"I'll be alright," Kazuhiro groaned as he got up. Just as he fell, Iida grabbed onto him and caught him before he fell.
Midnight sighed and said, "This is the second time you've exhausted yourself. You still have the rest of the festival so please be mindful."
Kazurio nodded.
"Come on, let's give a round of applause for both students for fighting hard!" Present Mic shouted, hoping to end this round on a wholesome note.
Author's Corner
As you can tell, Kazuhiro took over Mei's spot in the tournament. With him beating Iida, he will take his place in the tournament. Only time will tell how far Kazuhiro gets in the game. He also takes over Izuku's role as Todoroki's rival for the Sports Festival. I do want to make sure Izuku also gets some spotlight, after all, I do want Kazuhiro and Izuku to be foils to each other given the similar nature of their powers. As for why I made Kazuhiro the rival instead, it's mostly because Todoroki saw that Kazuhiro has multiple sides of his powers and he isn't holding back on using any of them. He saw Kazuhiro as a reminder of his other side and how he shuns it.
Response corner:
Raidentensho (from chapter 11): I never imagined Kazuhiro as much of a guy who has girls falling for him left and right. He doesn't have the charisma of Double or Geats. He probably can garner a fanbase.
Redburndragon (from chapter 11): "Cast off" wouldn't be a thing unless Kazuhiro was transforming from Kabuto's Masked form. As for "Clock Up", it wouldn't have had the Kabuto Zecter voice because the Decadriver already acted as its "activation" word.
christianrajapaksa345 (from chapter 11):I said this a while back but the K-Touch and Complete form are going to be exclusive to Tsukasa. I want to have Kazuhiro be his own version of Decade. He inherited the power and now its up to him to shape it however he wants it to be.
As for your second question, the public will see his powers as just any other Quirk. People will ask how such a Quirk can form because well, he can transform into 24 different heroes that have different sets of forms, each of which can be considered as their own Quirk but regardless they're all under one label. The official name of his power is called "transformation".
Zeinlover555 (from chapter 11): Just the protagonists. Anything else will be too excessive. He already has two dozen Riders to transform into. I'm trying to make sure that each Rider has at least a couple of uses so adding the Dark Riders as a possible transformation just makes it harder.
Xivitai (from chapter 7): I know that rule. I just excluded the Rider's name to shorten it and reduce redundancy. The only reason for me to do the [Rider Name] [Form Nmae] style is if he transforms into that form without transforming into their base form.
