"Another one of Decade's associates met you?" Aizawa asked. Kazuhiro met with Aizawa in the student-faculty room. In a way, his homeroom teacher became his de facto guardian.

"Yeah, and this one shot my arm before I could insert my card into the belt," Kazuhiro said as he rubbed his arm. "He just taunted me and told me by saying I'm nowhere near facing Hundred."

"Hm, it sounded like he wants to test you," Aizawa said.

"Test me?" Kazuhiro asked.

"He made his presence known in this world, something tells me he'll stay around to continue watching your growth. Maybe even send another Kamen Rider to fight you like how Narutaki did," Aizawa said. "Remain vigilant."

"Yes, sir," Kazuhiro said.

"And congratulations on winning the Sports Festival. I'm sure there's plenty of Pros willing to send you an offer to work at their agencies," Aizawa said. "You're bringing something different to the table, so make sure you do good when you're out there."

Kazuhiro nodded and said, "Of course. I hope my training in UA prepared me for this."

"I know you never asked to be in the Hero course but despite being in this circumstance, you're well above ready," Aizawa said.

"You mean it?" Kazuhiro asked.

Aizawa understood Kazuhiro's uncertainty. He is a kid who was thrusted with a mantle he never asked him.

"You survived through the USJ incident and won the Sports Festival. Don't be too humble now," Aizawa said.

"Right," Kazuhiro nodded once more, understanding Aizawa's point.

The day after the Sports Festival, there was a four-day weekend. Kazuhiro took the time to relax, and using the powers of seven Kamen Riders in one day drained him. When it was time to return to school, Kazuhiro was beginning to get noticed by his fellow students. He walked down the hallway, catching glimpses of the students' conversations.

"It's him," a student said.

"That guy can do anything," another commented.

"Man, I wish I had a flashy Quirk like his," a student groaned.

Kazuhiro wasn't used to this level of attention. He was practically a nobody in his old world but here he's well-known as a rising star in his year. Kazuhiro soon realized that more people out there in the world knew who he was because of the broadcast. A small smile formed on his face, as he accepted his new status. He'll have to remind himself not to let it get to his head.

When Kazuhiro entered the classroom, he saw his classmates excited about their newfound popularity.

"I had all these people talking to me on my way here!" Ashido said with excitement.

"Same here! A lot of people were staring at me!" Hagakure said. "It was kinda embarrassing."

"All these grade-schoolers were telling me "nice try"," Sero complained.

"It took just one sports festival and we're suddenly popular," Kaminari said.

"That's UA for ya," Mineta added.

The door opened and Aizawa walked in. He spoke coldly, "Morning."

"Good morning, Mr. Aizawa," the class greeted.

"Ribbit. Good to see your bandages off, Mr. Aizawa," Tsuyu said.

"The old lady's treatment was excessive but never mind that. Today we've got a big class on hero informatics."

"Informatics? Please don't let this be a pop quiz," Kaminari thought with a panicked look on his face.

"Stuff about hero law is something I suck at," Kirishima thought as he clenched his fist in distress.

With a few seconds of silence, Aizawa spoke up, "You need codenames. It's time time to pick your hero names."

The class cheered but was quickly silenced by Aizawa after he narrowed his eyes.

"This is related to the Pro Hero drafts I mentioned the other day. Normally first-year students don't have to worry about this stuff until their second or third year but this class is different," Aizawa explained. "By extending their invitations to you, they're saying they want to invest in your future. Unfortunately, their interest can die down before they can even graduate. Invitations can be revoked at any moment."

"So we still have to prove ourselves even after we're recruited," Hagakure said.

"That's right," Aizawa said. He pulled out a remote and pointed it at the board. "Here are the numbers of those who got offers."

After clicking on the remote, a bar graph is displayed on the draft picks. Unsurprisingly, Kazuhiro was first at six thousand invitations. He was followed up by Todoroki and Bakugo with a couple of thousand. Then it goes by Iida, Kaminari, and Yaoyorozu within the hundreds. Finally, there's Kirishima, Uraraka, and Sero in the double digits.

"Gah! These guys are in a whole other league!" Kaminari complained.

"There's no invitations for the real star of the festival, moi?" Aoyama asked.

"Woah, Todoroki has more invites than Bakugo even though he got third," Sero commented.

"If Pros don't want me, it's because they're scared!" Bakugo growled.

"As expected, well done, Todoroki," Yaoyorozu said.

"It's probably because of my father that they want to have me," Todoroki replied.

Aizawa caught the attention of the class once more. He said," With that settled, whether or not you were picked you will have a chance to work alongside Pros."

"It's true that you already have experience more than most students here but seeing Pros in action and taking part in their activities will still be worthwhile training."

"That's where our hero names come in!" Sato exclaimed.

"This is going to be so much fun!" Uraraka said.

"They're only temporary but you still want to pick something but that them seriously or…"

The door opened and Midnight shouted, "Or you'll have hell to pay later!"

"What you pick now may end up being what you have for the rest of your life. So you better pick something that isn't so indecent," Midnight said as she struts to the front.

"She has a point. Midnight will be assessing your names and will have the final say in your names. I'm no good at that kind of stuff," Aizawa admitted. "The name you pick for yourself will be important. It will help reinforce your image and show what kind of hero you want to be in the future. Take All Might for example."

Kazuhiro was handed a stack of blank whiteboards and a few markers from Jirou. He handed it to Tokoyami, who passed it down. Kazuhiro pondered what kind of hero name he wanted to adopt. There were so many different routes he could take with this.

Does he want to be called Decade? Kamen Rider? Or Kamen Rider Decade? What about the other identities of the other Kamen Riders? Should he pick something that is fully original? There were so many routes to take.

Fifteen minutes have passed. Aizawa was resting as Midnight stood in front of the class. She said, "Now students, who among you is ready to share?"

With full confidence, Aoyama walked up to the podium. He said, "Hold your breath…"

"The Shining Hero," Aoyama said before raising his sign. "I Can Not Stop Twinkling!"

"That's a whole sentence!" Kaminari pointed out. Midnight grabbed his board and began editing his name.

"It will be better like this. Take out the "I" and contract "Can Not" into "Can't"," Midnight explained as she showed him his revised name.

"I see, mademoiselle!" Aoyama said.

"Shouldn't your name be in French?" Kazuhiro muttered. After Aoyama left, Ashido went up.

"Okay, I'm next!" Ashido exclaimed. She showed everyone her board. "Call me Alien Queen!"

"You mean that horrible monster with that acidic blood! I don't think so!" Midnight jeered. "Not only is that name horrifying, it will be a copyright nightmare! Especially since it's from an overseas studio!"

"Can go next, ribbit!" Tsuyu asked as she raised her hand.

"Come on up," Midnight said with a welcoming tone.

"I've had this name since I was in elementary school. Call me Froppy, the Rainy Season Hero," Tsuyu said.

"That's delightful! It's cute and approachable!" Midnight commented.

The class smiled at the name. It was normal compared to the last two. They cheered, "Froppy! Froppy! Froppy!"

Kirishima was up and he displayed his board. He said, "I got mine too! The Sturdy Hero: Red Riot!"

"Red Riot, how interesting. Could this be a homage to the Chivalrous Hero: Crimson Riot?" Midnight asked.

"Not exactly subtle with a name like that," Kazuhiro thought.

"That's right. I know he's from back in the day but Crimson's the type of hero I wanna be," Kirishima explained.

"Heh, well then, just know that bearing your name as a personal hero comes with a lot of pressure."

"I'm ready for that!"

"Hm, there's not exactly any heroes that go by Kamen Rider, at least as far as I know but I inherited their powers. In this world, I'm the one who will make a lasting impression on that name," Kazuhiro thought. He overheard Kaminari complaining about not making a name.

"I still can't think of anything," Kaminari groaned.

"Hey, what about "Jamming-Yay"?" Jirou suggested.

"Oh, like a homage to Hemingway, the guy who wrote A Farewell to Arms? That's clever."

"No, it's because you jam your brain and say yay," Jirou snickered as she tried to hold back from laughing out loud.

"Come on, Jirou! Stop messing with me!" Kaminari complained as Jirou got up to present her name.

Jirou presented her board. She said, "The Hearing Hero: Earphone Jack."

"Now that's a good one!" Midnight praised.

Shohi presented his board. He said, "The Tentacle Hero: Tentacole."

"Oh, I like what you're doing! A nice portmanteau!" Midnight said.

Sero presented his board. He said, "The Taping Hero: Cellophane."

"That's on the nose! Good work!" Midnight gave an approved thumbs up.

Ojiro presented his board. He said, "The Martial Arts Hero: Tailman."

"No surprise with that one," Midnight said.

"Sato presented his board. He said, "Call me the Sweets Hero: Sugarman!"

"Perfect!" Midnight exclaimed.

Ashido presented her board a second time. She shouted, "Pinky!"

"Alright, now that's a name to remember!" Midnight commented.

Kaminari presented his board. There was a graph that showed the formatting of his name. He said, "The Stun Gun Hero: Chargebolt! Electric, don't you think?"

"Oh, it makes me all tingly!" Midnight teased.

Hagakure showed her board. She said, "I'm the Stealth Hero: Invisible Girl!"

"You're all doing great! Who will step up next!" Midight questioned.

Yaoyorozu went up and presented her name. She said, "I hope I can live up to my name. I am the Everything Hero: Creati."

"Seriously?" Kazuhiro thought as he erased the Everything Hero from his board. "I thought I could've used that title since I have a stupid amount of forms that let me do different things."

Todoroki presented his name to the class but it's just his name. He said, "Shoto."

"Really, is that it? Just your name?" Midnight asked.

"Yeah."

Tokoyami presented his name. He said, "I'm the Jet-Black Hero: Tsukuyomi."

"Like the God of the Night!" Midnight exclaimed.

Mineta presented his name next. He held up his board as high as he could. He shouted, "The Fresh-Picked Hero: Grape-Juice!"

"How kitchsi!" Midnight commented.

Koda presented his board. It just read: Anima.

"Yep, all about it!" Midnight said.

Bakugo showed his name and shouted, "King Explosion Murder!"

"No good, try again. It's too violent!"

"What do you mean too violent!" Bakugo complained. As Bakugo took his seat, Uraraka showed her name.

"This is what I came up with, Uravity!" Uraraka presented.

"Picking your names is going smoother than expected! All we need is Bakugo to re-think his, Iida, Midoriya, and Kimura," Midnight said.

Iida went up to present his name, but it was just his name.

"You're still using your name too?" Midnight asked. Kazuhiro heard that Iida's brother was injured by a villain, rumors have it that Ingenium can't recover. A lot must be going on with Iida that prevents him from picking a name.

Izuku went up to present his name. This surprised the class.

"Are you sure Midorya?" Kaminari asked.

"Yeah, that name can be yours forever," Kirishima pointed out.

"I've always hated this name but then someone helped me see it in a new light. It took me by surprise but it made me happy," Izuku said. "I'm Deku! The Hero who gives it his all!"

Bakugo glared at Izuku while Uraraka smiled. Shortly after Izuku presented his name, Bakugo showed his.

"Lord Explosion Murder!" Bakugo shouted.

"Still no," Midnight rejected quickly.

"Dammit, I'll use my name then!" Bakugo shouted as he walked back to his seat.

"Seriously, just exclude murder," Kazuhiro thought.

"Well, that just leaves Kimura," Midnight said "Are you ready?"

Kazuhiro nodded as he stood up. When he walked up to the class, he presented his name

"It was kind of hard for me to pick one but I decided on the one in the middle," Kazuhiro said as he flipped over his board. "I'm the Wild Card Hero: Kamen Rider Decade."

"Not surprised by that name," Midnight commented as plenty of students nodded. The class noticed that Kazuhiro had other names circling his chosen name.

"Are those supposed to be the other names you've thought of?" Hagakure asked.

"Den-O… Blade… Kuuga!?" Ojiro read the names. "Hang on, are these the names of your other forms?"

"Yeah, they are. I wanted to try to incorporate the other forms into my name, so I wrote their names just to brainstorm. I couldn't think of a way to do so," Kazuhiro said. "I'm not even trying to count the names of their sub-forms."

"Good thing you didn't. You'd probably have too many to put in a single piece of paper," Kaminari remarked.

"Oh, how about you use those names whenever you transform! Like whenever you transform into that red guy again, we'll call you by that name!" Ashido suggested.

"You're going to have to be more specific," Ojiro pointed out. The image of Kuuga, Drive, Ryuki, and OOO in his Tajadol form popped up.

"That would just make things complicated if we have to call you the other names, wouldn't it, ribbit?" Tsuyu asked.

"Well, he could use those names unofficially, right? It'd be like a nickname but it has more importance," Kaminari said.

"Yeah, dozens of Pros have multiple nicknames other than their codename and title. The only difference between them and Kimura is that his names have some legitimacy with them," Izuku said.

"I think I see your point. My hero identity is kinda interchangeable like the cards I use," Kazuhiro said.

"Well, if that's what you prefer, then I'll try my best to remember the names," Kirishima smirked

"I mean, it's just a "nickname"," Kazuhiro said. There's no easy way to classify the other Rider names. "If it's too hard, you can just call me Decade."

"So, wait, if Decade can be replaced with the other names, does that mean the "Kamen Rider" part stays?" Hagakure said.

"It always says KamenRide whenever he changes forms. So it makes sense that Kamen Rider stays, ribbit," Tsuyu pointed out. "Thinking about it, it does make sense that you would call yourself Kamen Rider Decade since that is your main go-to form."

"Thank god you didn't take my name when you had the chance. I don't think Pinky is a fitting name," Ashido teased, knowing his response.

"It wouldn't because my armor is magenta, not pink," Kazuhiro said.

"So in conclusion, you're Kamen Rider Decade, the Wild Card Hero. But also known as a plethora of other codenames that are too long to list," Midnight said.

"That sounds about right," Kazuhiro nodded.

"Well, I can only put in your first one but as the others said, those names can be used unofficially. So try to make a name of yourself to get people to remember that."

"That would be an easy task for someone like him," Kirishima said.

After the names had been finalized, Aizawa informed the class of their internships.

"Your internships will start in a week. For those were were drafted, you'll be given a personalized list I created based on your strengths, but if you think you're better off in another agency they're listed on the other pages," Aizawa said. A huge stack of packets was laid on the podium. "As for those who weren't drafted, I created a list of forty agencies from all over the country that were willing to accept interns. You will choose one from that list. Each has a different specialty and region. Consider your decision."

"I'm going to a big city! That's where all the action is!" Kirishima said.

"Ribbit, I'd like a place that deals with flood," Tsuyu said.

"Submit your choices by this weekend," Aizawa said as the forms have been passed around. Kazuhiro received a thick packet, a lost full of agencies.

"Woah! That's a lot of offers!" Izuku commented.

"Yeah, this is kinda… overwhelming," Kazuhiro said.

"The first two pages are agencies I recommended to you, so look there first before you go through the packet," Aizawa reminded.

Kazuhiro went through a few agencies listed on the packet. There was Endeavor's agency; appropriately called "Endeavor Hero Agency". Knowing how abusively he treated Todoroki and his family, working alongside him would've pissed him off. The agencies are usually just called after the heroes that formed the agencies. Some of the recommended agencies were that of the top Pro Heroes like Best Jeanist, Ryukyu, and Hawks. There were also lesser-known heroes listed as well. There was plenty to choose from.

"Alright, I think I know which agency I'm going to roll with," Kirishima said.

"Oh, really, which one?" Kazuhiro asked.

"The Chivalrous Hero: Fourth kind!" Kirishima proclaimed. "If want to be like more role model, I need to learn from other heroes who know a thing or two about manly spirit and chivalry."

"Sounds like you got things planned out," Kazuhiro said as he continued to look at his list.

"What about you?"

"There's too many to list. I'm just going to stick to the ones Aizawa recommended to me," Kazuhiro said.

"You practically do everything. Are you going to be geared towards rescuing or fighting villains?" Izuku asked.

"Are you seriously asking him that question? Didn't you see the dragon he summoned during the festival?!" Mineta reminded.

"Thirteen is a rescue hero even though she has a Quirk that is a literal black hole, ribbit. I'm pretty sure Kimura's Quirk has some potential when it comes to rescuing," Tsuyu pointed out.

"Yeah, but let's be honest, he's a lot more practical as a fighter than a rescuer," Kaminari added.

"You're both not wrong," Kazuhiro said. Kazuhiro flipped the page and saw a hero agency that caught his eye, Arbor Agency.

Kazuhiro thought, "If I recall, that's Kamui Woods' agency."

If there was one Pro Hero Kazuhiro paid attention to, it was Kamui Woods. He was a rising celebrity in the Pro Hero Community who has a large fanbase. Even though he was not in the Top 10 on the Hero Billboard Chart, Kamui Woods was bound to make it next time.

"Maybe working with a Pro Hero rising through the ranks might be interesting. They're not exactly at the top, at least not yet, but seeing them in action as they will give me insight into what it's like," Kazuhiro thought.

After class, Kazuhiro walked through the school gate. Todoroki was by the gate, waiting for him.

"Kimura," Todoroki called out.

"Oh, Todoroki, is there anything you want to talk about?" Kazuhiro said as he turned to the half-and-half teen.

"It's my mother, I finally got the courage to see her after all these years," Todoroki spoke. "It's because of you that I can slowly move on from my past."

"That's great!" Kazuhiro commended.

"And another step is to finally learn how to use my other side. I decided to join my father's agency."

"A-Are you serious? You don't have to give him the time of day."

"I know, but I inherited his Quirk so he's the best teacher for me," Todoroki explained.

"I think I see your point."

'I'm not planning on forgiving but I still need him, as much as I hate to admit it," Todoorki said. "I'll make sure to make my path for myself and turn this Quirk into my own."

Kazuhiro smirked. "I'm sure you'll do well."

"There is something I wanted to talk to you about, something that I wanted ever since the Sports Festival."

"What is it?"

"You said that you also inherited your powers from great heroes. Who exactly are your parents?" Todoroki asked.

"Dammit, I've been slipping up recently," Kazuhiro thought. First, he hinted that he was brought in by the school to Izuku, and now this.

Kazuhiro sighed and said, "Might as well tell you the surface-level details about it but I can't say much, it's not like you'd believe me."

"If it's too traumatic, I don't want to force it."

"It's not that, it's…" Kazuhiro paused before saying, "Look, my powers aren't exactly mine. They once belonged to other heroes. Through whatever force, they somehow manifested in me and now I'm able to use their powers. I don't who these people are but their powers are now in me."

"I see. Is the school aware of this?"

"Yeah, they are. It's kinda the reason why we have 21 students instead of the normal 20."

"Hm, I suspected something that there must've been a classified reason UA decided to insert an extra student," Todoroki said. "I promise I won't share this with anyone. After all, we have each other's secrets."

"Thanks, Todoroki. You're the only other student I told this to," Kazuhiro said.

"Do you plan on telling the others?"

Kazuhiro scratched the back of his head and said, "Eventually, when the time comes. The way I see it, it's on a "need to know basis" kinda thing," Kazuhiro said.

"Of course," Todoroki said as he nodded. As the students walked, Kazuhiro couldn't help but wonder how he and the rest of the class would react if they learned about his true origins. They might believe the fact that he inherited his powers since it's so diverse and individualistic. However, when it comes to Hundred, he wonders if they would feel safe around him.

On the day of the internship, everyone gathered at the train station. Today, Kazuhiro was to head to the Nabu Ward to join the Arbor Agency as its intern. As Kazuhiro looked at the signs to get to his train line, he overheard Izuku talking to Iida in front of them.

"If things get too much and you need to talk, just say something. We're your friends," Izuku said with Uraraka nodding.

"Sure thing," Iida said. As Iida walked past him, Kazuhiro caught a glimpse of Iida's rage. It was a vengeful look, one that had narrow eyes and a dark look to the face.

Kazuhiro watched as Iida walked to his station. He was concerned for Iida since his brother was recently injured at the hands of a notorious villain named Stain. It was recently announced that Ingenium would have to retire as he was crippled from the fight. Kazuhiro hoped that the internship could keep his mind off the incident. However, there was a part of him that doubted it and feared he might do something uncharacteristically reckless.

When Kazuhiro arrived at the platform for his line, he saw Shiozaki standing against the wall. Their eyes met and Kazuhiro walked up to her to strike up a conversation. He wondered if she was heading to Arbor Agency as well since her Quirk is similar to Kamui's.

"Oh, it's the demon," Shiozaki said with a vindictive tone.

"Uh, excuse me?" Kazuhiro blurted with confusion.

"Don't try to pretend that you didn't try to challenge my faith when you picked that form," Shiozaki said, referring to Hibiki, who has an oni-like appearance and a name that translates as "echo demon".

"Oh, crap, she's the religious type. She must think I used Hibiki intentionally as a way to toy with her," Kauzhiro thought.

Kazuhiro scratched the back of his head and said, "There wasn't any intention to challenge your belief. It was just… a weird coincidence that I picked on that looked like a demon. I just needed a form that countered your vines."

"And you picked the one that used hellfire."

"Fire. Just plain fire."

"Is it the only one that uses fire?"

Kazuhiro slowly nodded no.

"Then the demonic influence from that card must've tempted you into using it," Shiozaki said. "I shall pray you won't fall for the devil's tricks."

Kazuhiro rolled his eyes as he turned to the train tracks. He asked, "So, I'm assuming you're here because you also have an internship?"

Shiozaki nodded, "I got had an offer from Kamui Woods' agency. Since our Quirks are similar, I want to learn how to better use my vines"

"I figured as much. I also joined that agency as well."

"Oh, really what made you pick his agency?"

"Since Kamui Woods is a rising, popular hero and one of the best, I thought I could get some insight into his journey."

"How impure. Only joining his agency just so you could learn how to be popular," Shiozaki said coldly before turning away.

Kazuhiro sighed, realizing that he worded what he wanted to say wrong. While Kamui Woods is popular, he is only popular because of his actions, which he wishes to replicate.

"This is going to be a long week," Kazuhiro thought.

Author's Corner

Another slow chapter is where the cast sits down and picks their name. It's no surprise that Kazuhiro would use Decade as his hero name since he inherited the powers of his past users. I thought it would be funny if his classmates had a small conversation about his other Kamen Rider identities. To sum it up if it wasn't clear, his overall name, the name you can call no matter what form he has, is Kamen Rider or Decade or the combination of the two names. If he's in another Kamen Rider form, you can call him by that specific name. As for his work-study agency, I picked Kamui Woods since he's a rising Pro Hero. I also added Shiozaki because her powers are similar to Kamui Woods.

Response Corner

GokuSS400 (from chapter 14): Zero-One was the season that was going on when I got into Kamen Rider. I just finished Ex-Aid and decided to catch up on the current season while also watching Den-O. I got into Kamen Rider in 2020 during the pandemic because what was I supposed to do with this large amount of free time? Weirdly enough my first season was Ex-Aid despite the ongoing health crisis at the time.

Romeo Jaramillo (from chapter 14): I already knew that I would have Kazuhiro pick Kamui Woods as his work-study but I haven't picked a Hero for the internship arc. I'm thinking of making him go with Izuku to Nighteye's agency could have an opportunity to bond.

MKH301 (from chapter 14): I don't mind criticism about my grammar in reviews but I would appreciate it if future grammar corrections would go to DMs. Those mistakes aren't going to be around once I notice so it would be weird to leave them in a review.

Well, for the Hero Killer arc, I do plan on Kazuhiro running into Stain. As for Hundred, I do plan on sprinkling in them and other Riders throughout the story so it isn't strictly just MHA-related stuff.

As for your final question, Kazuhiro could transform into any form that isn't a final form. Kazuhiro will get his own Super form that either allows him to summon Rider clones or instantly shift between different Riders.

Guest (from chapter 14): I do want Kazuhiro and Izuku to team more often, just haven't found a good opportunity to implement the two of them together.
