Chapter XXII: Monkey Ninjas In Space.

Last Time.

"It looks like somebody took very good care of her little brothers," Ann said walking up.

"When they're asleep like this they hardly seem evil at all."

"You were ten once, too, Kimmie," Ann said, dropping the fish on the table.

"Yeah, but I wasn't as bad as them," Kim said as her parents looked away.

"Uh..."

"Well..."

"Was I?" Kim asked them.

"You were... spirited," Ann said, sitting down on the couch as James chuckled.

"No babysitter alive could handle you. Not that we could find anyone willing to try after a certain point."

"Honey, what have the boys got on their foreheads?" Ann asks, noticing the chips on the twin's foreheads.

Kim gasps then uses their disrupter to turn the chips off, having the two wake and run around. "I finally understand how special my brothers are. And I love them to bits, but sometimes… Nothing says bedtime like a little mind control." Kim chuckled as the boys broke something in the other room.

Now.

Unknown Location.

Monkeys dressed like ninjas knelt before a man dressed like a ninja with his head covered.

"You are ready… My Monkey Ninjas."

The monkeys screeched as they all jumped and destroyed various Wing Chun dummies. They then landed by the man who took off his mask revealing he's Monkey Fist.

"And so am I." Pressing a button that had a hole in the wall showing a shrine with incense on a table with parchment on the wall held by a monkey-shaped holder. "The Monkey Prophecy states that when a team of Monkey Ninjas stands ready, and the Golden Banana has been returned to its golden sand, the ultimate Monkey Master will receive a sign. I shall await that sign."

He placed a gold banana on a stand on the table and then sat down. A moment later it started shaking before it opened and projected a slightly overweight bald man in a robe and a monkey on his shoulder in green.

"Good day, disciple. Thanks to your efforts, it is time to anoint the ultimate Monkey Master." He said as Monkey Fist smiled.

"Yes!"

"You must search out the brightest monkey. Follow him to the stars. There, the ultimate Monkey Master will be unstoppable. May your journey be a smooth one." The man said before disappearing.

"You heard him. I will be unstoppable! I, the Ultimate Monkey Master, will rule the world!" Monkey Fist yells as the monkeys start yelling.

Possible Household.

Kim in her green shirt and capris sat down at the booth in her kitchen as her mother was getting plates out of the cabinet.

"What's the matter, Kimmie? School? Or villains? Problem with you and Naruto?"

"No, Naruto's golden Mom… It's Dad. He's making me go to the Rocket Boosters' open house at the Space Center today."

"Honey, I'm sure if you just talked to him..."

"I can't." She stopped her mother. "The slightest mention of me growing up and he gets all goofy."

James walked in holding a grey sweatshirt with a rocket on it, and another that was made for a little kid. "Look what I found, Kimbo. Our matching Rocket Boosters sweatshirts."

Kim took the kid's shirt and sighed. "Dad, you got this for me when I was eight."

"Our very first Rocket Booster day." She groaned at that. "Slip it on."

"Help me." Kim pleaded with her mother.

"Dear… Do you think Kim is getting too old for the little Rocket Boosters?"

James looked to see Kim struggling to put the shirt on having it expose her midriff. "There's rocket-shaped cookies."

Ding-Dong!

Kim answered the door to see Ron wearing the sweatshirt and Naruto with his hands in his pocket.

"Fellow Rocket Booster, are you ready?" Ron asked with a smile.

"So not. I'm actually trying to bail."

"And miss the rocket-shaped cookies?" Ron asked as Rufus jumped up and smiled.

Monkey Fist Hideout.

Monkey Fist was looking online as his monkeys practiced "Even if we must search the entire globe, we will find the brightest monkey. The one who is smarter than any other.

He then clocked on video for a zoo showing a guard walking. "Ooh, this looks promising. The Blandsfield's Zoo. Home of the notorious Digger McDirt." As the guard left the frame, a shovel came out of the ground followed by a deranged-looking monkey. "Hmm... 17 escape attempts. Most impressive."

He then brought up the monkey record showing he was caught every time. "Captured by the authorities every time. Not so smart at all, really." He then brought up a video of a chimp in a chair wearing a robe reading a paper and sipping tea before fixing his glasses. "Ah, a most intelligent fellow."

The video zoomed out to show a balding man holding a pink dress.

"Come on, Mr. Jiggy, you've just got to wear the dress. I told my boss I'd fix him up with my sister. Only, I don't have a sister."

Jiggy took the dress and held it up before he looked to the camera as a laugh track played before an announcer spoke. "Life with Mr. Jiggy will be right back."

"Ugh! To waste such simian talent on a sitcom. It sickens me." He sighs before going to a video of the Middleton Space Center with a monkey in a spacesuit on the front page.

"What is this? (Gasp!) My search is over. The monkey who will lead us to the stars is... Him!"

Middleton Space Center.

"Good morning, Doctor Possible. Hiya, Kim. What brings you out our way?"

The guard at the entrance said to the two in James' car. "Today's the annual Rocket Boosters' open house, Frank."

"Isn't that just for the, uh, little kids?"

"Thank you." Kim sighed at that.

"Oh, Frank. Kimmie Cub is my little girl." James smiled and drove in as Frank sighed.

"Looks like someone's got letting-go issues."

Inside, Kim was annoyed as little kids were looking at her, Ron and Naruto.

"Are you the teacher?" One asks her.

"No."

"I think she's my babysitter."

"Are you going to babysit us?"

"No. I am just a big girl who really has no business being here."

"So you're too old then?" Naruto asks before being elbowed by his girlfriend.

"That's my Kimmie."

James walked in smiling and stood beside his daughter. "Good morning, Rocket Boosters. I'm Doctor Possible."

"Good morning, Doctor Possible!"

The kids said together before James continued. "I started the Rocket Boosters as a way to show Kim that we do some pretty exciting work here at the Space Center." He finished ruffling her hair, getting Kim to grumble.

"When I was eight."

"Booster rocket? Check."

They looked to see Ron eating the cookies. "Retro rocket. Check. Command module. Check."

He then looked at the kids again. "Once a year since then, we've had the Rocket Booster open house to show just how cool science can be. Plus, it's still a great way to spend the day with my Kimmie cub." He hugged Kim at that, before taking them to a room. "So, why don't we start with a tour of the Space Center? You can meet our newest astronaut. I'd like you all to meet the special new addition to our space crew…"

He trailed off, opened it, and showed a small person in a space suit with a helmet on, playing a game.

Naruto looked to see one girl in the back jumping to look before picking her up. "Frederick!"

The person then typed on a keypad on his left arm before a computerized voice spoke up from the speaker. "Welcome, friends."

"Hey, how come he uses that box thingy to talk?" One kid asks.

"I think you'll like this, boys and girls. You see, Frederick isn't a human astronaut. He's a…" James trailed off as Fredrick took his helmet off and revealed he was a...

"Monkey!" Ron screamed as Fredrick jumped over.

"Come play."

He then pulled Ron to the computer, at that, "No monkey touch! No monkey touch!"

"What's his problem?"

Kim sighs at that. "Long story short... Ron had a bad summer camp experience. He didn't get along with the monkey mascot."

She explained as Ron glared at Fredrick who jumped up to hug him. "Frederick, friend."

"Rufus…" Ron said as Rufus came up and pried the monkey off Ron.

"I think he likes you," Kim said as they walked in while the kids went to Frederick.

"Well, I don't like him back. I'm out of here. Are you coming?"

"Hang on." Kim sighed and walked to her father. "I'm going to tell my Dad straight up that I am too old for this. Dad…"

"There's my girl." James hugged her at that. "You know, it doesn't get any better than this. Me, you, a deep connection. So, what's up?"

"Um, I, I have to… Show Ron and Naruto something."

The three walked out as James took the kids to a rocket launch room. "This spacecraft is being prepared for a special mission. Frederick is going to spend a year at our space station monitoring experiments from elementary school students around the country." Suddenly monkey ninjas came in and aimed weapons at them. "What's going on here?"

Monkey Fist came out of the shadows at that. "A prophecy is being fulfilled."

Outside, Kim sighed as she held Naruto's right hand in her left. "I really should have said something to Dad. Just flaking on him is so flawed."

"Some things are better left unsaid, K.P.," Ron said to her. "Especially when there's a monkey in the immediate vicinity."

"It is a dick move though," Naruto commented before Kim let go to smack him upside the head.

Smack!

"Ow!"

"Language Naruto… Look, forget about the monkey. I've got to go back. I'll suck it up and tell him I'm too old for the Rocket Boosters."

"Or, you could write him a letter. Everybody loves to get mail." Ron said as they turned to walk back to the building.

Missing the tied-up guards in the shacks and bushes. They got to the door and found it was locked. "That's weird."

"It's a sign. Someone's trying to tell us to stick with my plan. Put distance between us and the monkey."

"Interesting theory, but doubt it. Let's try the side door." Kim said walking to the side of the building.

They tried that door and found it was also locked before Naruto noticed no one was outside. "Where is everybody?"

"Something's not right." Kim mused before bringing up her Kimmunicator. "Wade, we're outside the Space Center. The doors are locked. Can you see if anything is going on?"

"I'm on it," Wade replied as he started to type. "The Space Center's computer system is being jammed, Kim. I think something's up."

"Come on, Ron, Naruto." Kim walked ahead followed by the two blondes. "We've got to get a look inside." They walked to the side and looked in a window to see Monkey Fist talking to the group. "It's Monkey Fist. What's he doing in Middleton?"

"He's working with that traitor, Frederick. I told you, K.P., never trust a monkey."

Kim ignored Ron and called Wade. "Wade, Monkey Fist is inside Mission Control. We need a way in and fast. Can you access blueprints?"

"You're talking highly classified information, Kim. There are layers upon layers of encryption and… I'm in!" Wade said with a smile after easily taking care of the security. "Looks like your best bet is through an air vent on the roof."

"Isn't it always?" Naruto sighed as he looked up at the roof.

Going via grapnel, they got in the vent and crawled inside before dropping down in the hall to see Monkey Fist and Fredrick. "Kim Possible… And her monkey-phobic friend and boyfriend. What are you doing here?"

"It's the Rocket Boosters' open house. They have these rocket-shaped cookies-"

"We came to stop you, Monkey Fist." Kim interrupted Ron's explanation.

"Well, I'm afraid not. Monkey Ninjas attack!"

The monkeys attacked having Ron cower as the others attacked by throwing the monkeys off/away from them as others ran after Ron who ran away. Naruto was kicked into a cleaning room with Kim before Monkey Fist closed and locked the door. "Get back!"

Naruto raised his leg, kicked the door at the lock, and broke the door open. They ran out and up to the command center as the rocket was launched Fredrick ran up to them. "Poor Frederick."

"Don't worry, Dad. He's right here." Kim said before her father hugged her.

"Kimmie! What happened? Thank goodness you're all right."

"Well, I was on my way to talk to you when we ran into Monkey Fist."

"Doctor Possible, we're getting something on the spider cam." One scientist said getting their attention.

And showed Ron on the rocket covered in spiders. "Ron? Dad, you have to turn that rocket around."

"It's okay. The spiders are harmless." The scientist said to her.

"Hello. Ron's hurtling into space with Lord Monkey Fist. That's Harm City."

"Ah, yes, well, we can't turn it around."

"This is Mission Control, right?" Kim asked them

"It was. That monkey man changed all systems to manual control."

"Then we have to go and get him," Naruto said as the scientist shook his head.

"Impossible! Even if there were a trained crew, we don't have a spacecraft available."

"Well, that's not completely accurate," James said before taking them outside to see a rocket that looked like a jet.

"Sweet! Dad, you designed this ship yourself?"

"I had some free time," James replied, crossing his arms.

"Of course, you realize it's completely experimental."

"Trust me. This baby will move!" James smiled at that.

"That's good enough for me."

"Thanks, honey, I… Wait. Good enough for what?"

"I'm going," Kim replied, having James shake his head.

"Absolutely not. An unproven ship is no place for my Kimmie cub."

"Look, Dad, I've been up the Amazon and down a volcano. I dogsledded through the Arctic Swam the English Channel, scaled Mount Everest, not to mention acing the cheerleading regional."

"But you don't have the training to pilot a spacecraft." The scientist said as Kim pointed to Frederick.

"He does."

"Frederick go. Frederick help." Frederick replied.

"But we haven't even begun to calculate the launch vectors. Not to mention all the other variables in a docking mission."

"Did you get that, Wade?" Naruto asked, raising his hand to have his watch turn on.

"Yeah. By the time you rev it up, I'll have all relevant vectors and flight trajectories downloaded into the Space Center computers."

"Ah, you continue to rock, Wade," Kim spoke leaning over before turning to her father. "Dad… I haven't had the heart to tell you, but newsflash: I'm a big girl. Just because I'm growing up doesn't mean you'll stop being my Dad." She finished hugging him.

"Prepare for launch," James said to them and ran to get everything ready.

Later, the trio with the two in spacesuits got in the rocket and launched up into space to the large station orbiting Earth.

"We're nearing the Space Station."

"Frederick, reduce booster jets to match speed," James said over the comms as Frederick nodded.

"Roger."

They got in and ran into the halls before coming to a room where Ron was with Monkey Fist. "Kim!" He exclaimed, running over as the three took off their helmets. "Why did you bring him? He's got to be working with Monty Freak."

"Ron, Frederick risked his life to come. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't be here."

"Really?" He asks.

"Hello, Ron," Frederick replied.

"You came to help me?"

"Frederick friend."

"Frederick has come back! Oh, yes! The prophecy is back on track! I will be the ultimate Monkey Master." Monkey Fist laughed before Naruto and Kim tossed their helmets over.

"Monkey Fist, get a life."

"Bring it on," Frederick said as all four got in a stance.

"Monkey Ninjas, attack!"

The monkeys attacked the four as they got up towards Monkey Fist. Suddenly, the gravity was turned off before Naruto pushed off the wall and grabbed Kim and Ron to land. "Frederick, now!"

"Roger."

Turning the gravity on, Naruto ran over and tied up Monkey Fist with zip ties. "Nice work, boys," Kim said as Ron walked up to Frederick.

"Let's go home, buddy."

"Ron go, Frederick, stay," Frederick replied as he typed.

"What do you mean?"

"Frederick has a job. He's been training for this mission for a long time, Ron. It's only right that he sees it through." Kim explained looking over.

"But that means he'll stay up here for a year."

"Frederick miss Ron," Frederick says to Ron who hugged him.

"I'll email you every day."

Earth.

The ship landed before the three walked out on the ramp. "Since when do you know how to fly a spacecraft?"

"It's no big. I watched Frederick on the way up." Kim replied as the kids ran to her as cops ran in and walked out with Monkey Fist.

"But I was to be the ultimate Monkey Master! I was to be unstoppable."

"Dude, it's not happening. Get used to it." Ron said before Monkey Fist yelled out.

"Monkey Ninjas, attack!"

"Monkey, what?"

"His legion of Monkey Ninjas. We captured them too." Naruto replied as the cops shook their heads.

"Sorry pal, there are no Monkey Ninjas onboard."

"I taught them the way of the Ninja, and now they abandon me? No!"

Hideout.

The man appeared again and saw the monkey ninjas glaring at him. "Um, hello. This is a little embarrassing. But I must correct one thing in my last message. Apparently, some of us don't write very clearly." He said, glancing at the monkey on his shoulder before continuing. "Anyway, when I said the leader of the Monkey Ninjas would be unstoppable, what I should have said was that the leader would be Ron Stoppable. My bad."

"Hope that didn't cause too much confusion." He finishes and vanishes.

Later, Bueno Nacho.

"Okay, this is starting to get weird."

Kim said in the booth as all three looked at the monkey ninjas practicing. "I know, but I can't get rid of them," Ron replied to her.
